I Don't Own Yugioh

"Here you swine" I blinked as Rose marched up to me before slamming what looked like five or so cards into my hand before storming off. Nice to know she hasn't forgotten about me then, even if it's been almost a full week since our little duel. Absently, ignoring the looks everyone was giving me, as she had literally had done that in the middle of my lunch period, I looked over the cards... I should blackmail people more often, this is great.

Horus LV8, nice to finally meet you buddy, and Red-Eyes Black Dragon nice to make your acquaintance as well. Now what else did she give me, it seems I miss counted the cards she gave me, I got two Red-Eyes Wyverns, I already have two though so I can only add one if I want a full set. Next I felt my eyes widen a tad as I looked at the last two, Five-Headed Dragon and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon...Holy s- crap.

I mean, I have a Polymerization and even a Dragon Mirror around somewhere so Five-Headed Dragon is actually viable if a bit overused in the show, and Red-Eyes Darkness Metal is just a broken card in general, especially with my already ridiculous grave power, it's basically free graveyard special summoning. Potential wise, my deck really just got a massive as hell boost in terms of fire power, though I'll have to remove a few cards to not have to many repeating effects in this deck. Horus LV8 honestly gets rid of my need for Feather Duster in here as I also have a Trap Jammer from Alex...Thoughts to be had then.

"So what was all that about dude?" Speak of the socially inexperienced devil and he shall speak up from the seat he's been in for the last ten minutes. Turning to my side to look at the confused form of Alex, I just said.

"We made a bet over a duel, she lost and wasn't a very good sport about it, still, she held up her deal so I don't mind" Alex just stared at me for a moment before turning to look at the retreating form of Rose for a moment before saying.

"What's it with you and pissing people off?" I just smiled a bit at that and gave a very honest answer.

"I just find it hilarious to watch people squirm or get angry, it's why I enjoy riling you up so much" He gave me a sudden sharp look to which I just smiled blandly back until he looked away with a slightly huffy face on as I gave myself a pat on the back for proving myself right.

"So, um, what cards did you get then" I thought about it for a second before saying happily.

"Secret...For now at least, I want to really finish up this deck before I use it against you, mister Buster Blader" He just huffed at that but seemed to find the answer good enough as he just went back to eating as I looked back down at the Horus in my hand for a moment before smiling again to myself. It was silly as hell, but after a few months, just seeing this after so long of looking, well, it just made me feel nice. It was strange, but I didn't mind.

"So this is your place huh?" Alex just grimaced but nodded, you know, neither of us has yet to ask for our original names, I just didn't care and I don't think Alex even thought about it but it was something that came to my attention as I stared into the massive room in front of us. His room in fact, it was probably about three times to the size of Ra's dorm rooms, and on the door was a name plate reading 'Alexander Romine', but it wasn't the Alex in front of me's room.

It hadn't really been hard to convince his family to let me stay over, they had more than a few guest rooms in this place apparently. Though there is going to be some test or whatever, something to prove that me being here will actually help him. I think his family is looking down on me because of my status in Ra and my clear lack of wealth, it was annoying, but all it means is I'll probably duel some person they hired, and at worst I lose and leave, it wasn't like I hadn't already considered the possibilities.

"Yeah...I'm still not sure how I feel about it to be honest" I couldn't really say anything to that so I didn't, instead I just walked over to the massive bed before dropping down onto it without shame. It was soft and quite nice, probably costs more than my life as well. Alex just rolled his eyes with a smile on his face as I flipped over on my back so I was staring up at the ceiling now.

"Something never change huh?" I just smirked to myself at that as I thought about that for a moment before deciding it was accurate. Anyway, I felt like just laying here for a while, I mean it was quite comfy and while the chances of me falling asleep are practically zero it was still nice to just relax, and not doing anything is a great way to rest my poor overworked body. Even if I don't really do much besides a lot of walking, if you do that for a few days without sleeping then you'll feel over worked as well.

"My hypocritical mix of boredom and laziness will never change, probably" He laughed at that which was fair, I mean there are plenty of things that can change both of those things mentioned but nothing has happened that could change that right now, so for now, I'm lazy and bored, and both annoy me a bit. I don't really like being unproductive but when I have nothing to do, at that point it just goes hand in hand.

"Yeah, I could see that being the case, dude" I just hummed at that as I closed my eyes and just rested myself a bit before saying to him after a moment of thought.

"So, when's my trial by fire anyway?" That got a sigh from Alex, so I'm assuming I ruined the mood a bit, oh well, it would be irresponsible to not ask and just wait for it to happen, plus this way I can gauge the difficulty of this duel. Well I actually didn't care but I didn't have anything else to talk about so here we are.

"I think it's sometime later today, maybe tonight, but I wasn't really told anything else. Though it's kind of obvious that they already don't like you dude, so could you not piss them off, I have to live with them after this" He didn't seem to think his request would actually get listened to if the tone in his voice was anything to go by, which I think is a tad bit rude. I can, in fact, be nice, I just don't usually see a point in bothering in something like that.

"I'll certainly try, which is a lot more effort then I usually give" He just kept quiet, not knowing what to say to that which was fine as I was to busy not doing anything, which in reality meant I was trying to see if I could pass out, I knew it wasn't going to happen but it would be a nice surprise if I managed it. Of course that means it wasn't meant to be as I listened as someone walked into the room as an unrecognized female voice called out.

"Come on, let's get this over with so your boyfriend can leave faster" I blinked my eyes open before looking up at the female in the room. She looked vaguely familiar. Oh right, the sister, I remember seeing her in a few pictures. I already don't like her. I'm more than fine with me teasing Alex and having fun watching him get embarrassed but it was something else as I looked over and saw how painfully uncomfortable he was. With that I plastered on a grin before getting up and said.

"Eh, I don't know about boyfriend, but then again I do seem to spend a lot of time on his bed" There, now he was to busy glaring red faced at me in indignation to be uncomfortable, that's totally a great solution to this problem. Anyway, his sister...Ava? Maybe? I looked Alex's family a while ago ok, and I'm already not the best with names. Anyway, she just raised an eyebrow at me for a moment as a general look of distaste spread over her face, it was mutual, not that she could see that while my lazy smile.

"So you're this Kyu I've heard about, I have to say, I'm not impressed" Oh? I just raised one of my own eyebrows before deciding that being nice, while possible for me, wasn't going to be reserved for her, so with that I lowered my chin a tad before I changed up my expression into one I've been told is terrifying as she only looked at me for a good second before looking away, clearly uncomfortable. I just laughed as I walked up to her, while grabbing my duel disk, and said as I passed by.

"Don't worry, I'm disappointed in you as well" She glared at me before stomping onward, I just followed after while Alex trailed on behind both of us, clearly not happy with both of our actions. I'll admit, I didn't have to do that but she was annoying me a bit, plus I wasn't that bad, at least not in comparison to what I could be doing so she'll get over it. Doesn't mean I won't push a bit more.

"So, who will I be facing then?" She seemed to gain a higher air again, I never did like pompous people, she is no exception.

"Oh, I think you mean, who all you'll be facing" Alex seemed to speed up a bit at that and before I could reply he blurted out.

"Wait, your making him duel more than just one person?" Ava just smirked and said.

"Of course, you can stand up to all your instructors, and since this...boy, here is 'better' than you, then it means that he should have no problem beating more than one of them" Alex seemed a bit nervous, not sure why, it's not like the stakes are that big, so I just said.

"Is it all at once? Because I think I'd prefer that. I don't want to waste my first day out of school by spending like an hour dueling all your little pep-school instructors" Was that arrogant? Hell yeah, but I didn't really care. From the sounds of things, no one here is much of a massive challenge for Alex and while he's the best I know besides me, I've yet to lose to him, and I really want an actually very challenging game at some point.

"All at once? Your ego is impressive, but I doubt even you could beat all three at the same time" Her sarcasm was so thick it could probably be cut with a butter knife. Still that did in fact tell me something, I'll be dealing with three duelists, interesting. A three v one would be an interesting experience, plus if we all are sharing one field then if anything that'll just limit them... Yeah, why the hell not.

"I prefer confidence to ego, I'm sure you wouldn't know the difference yourself, but that's besides the point isn't it. I'll take on all three, I don't see why not" She just huffed at that while glaring a head of her, but I could tell she was smug about this, she probably thinks she just got me into a trap out of my own pride, jokes on her, I knew exactly what she was doing, I just didn't really care.

"Are you sure about this dude? I've duel against all three and they're pretty good" I just nodded to Alex as we continued on, as I noted he was becoming increasingly nervous, it was annoying me.

"Calm down would you? You're not even going to be the one dueling" He just gave me a light glare but nodded, though his fidgeting didn't really stop even as we walked into a large room as I looked around for a moment, just noting everything when an older man walked up to us, with a look of mild annoyance on his features. I noted he looked somewhat similar to Alex, which would make this the father. I totally don't remember his name.

"You must be this Kyu Malo, that my son has been speaking so highly of... I expect you to win this or never distract my son again" What? I blinked to myself before saying nicely.

"I believe the arrangement was for me to stay here, not me having to duel for your frankly unneeded approval" This entire family seems to have a thing with annoying me on first impressions but unlike Alex I doubt these two are going to redeem themselves later on.

"Then you would be greatly mistaken. I will not have my son distracted by something as fruitless as 'friendship' if all it will account to is just a waste of time. You are going to duel these three gentlemen and if you lose at all then I expect you to never talk to my son again" I just looked at the man for a moment as I noted that Alex seemed beyond shocked, I figured, he would have said something or tried a lot harder to convince me otherwise against a three v one.

"Actually Father, Malo here has accepted a three on one duel, so no need for him to duel them all one by one" I really don't like this family, and I really hate the fact that I didn't plan for this to happen. I subconsciously plan for everything, it's a habit because of my paranoia, but I didn't see this coming and as such I let myself get walked right into it. Damn it.

"I don't see why I have to accept these terms" The head of the Romine family just looked down at me for a moment before saying with a smug tone.

"Oh? If you don't accept then I feel like maybe I should just kick you out, I mean, who far are we from your home? And what form of transportation do you have available?" Oh so that's how he wants to play this, fine, I could get home fine, probably, I mean it wouldn't be my first time hitchhiking but I'm not planning on losing, especially not in terms of a deal.

"Interesting terms, sure, I'll accept, but I want one thing from you if I win. Nothing big or even that expensive, I just want you to leave Alex alone at least until the end of our first year in Duel Academy" I could have said a lot more, but I was negotiating from the low ground and this was a simple and easy one, one this idiot wouldn't think about as a major deal even if I win, which was fine by me.

"Heh, you think you can make a deal with me brat? Fine, I can wait so see you get crushed then like the insignificant bug you are. Masho, Ohara, and Ash, your up, teach this brat respect" I just rolled my eyes at that as I looked at the three as they walked up and stood across from me, none really looked all that intimidating but then again you don't really need to be for this game. Now then, what deck to use.

Burn would be the obvious choice if I can't risk losing, but it's made for countering only one person, if I'm having to deal with three then I'll be the one burning, burning through my traps and spells at least. Of course, my dragon deck isn't the most reliable either, and I'm not sure I want to risk it all on them...Fine, I have an idea. I reached down and began to pull out a few cards from one of my decks while the three spent the time trash talking me, not noticing my action. After a moment I called out as I pulled out one of my full decks, merging it with the other cards as I shuffled.

"Are you guys going to keep talking or are you going to do something in the next century?" All three just frowned as they activated there duel disks, I just smiled at them as I slammed my deck into my own disk as it turned on as I called out again.

"Since this is a bit weird, I'll set some ground rules, all of us get 4000 life points each and the order we'll go in is me, then blue guy, then me, then bald guy, then me, then red guy, then repeat. Oh, also just to speed it up a bit, the second time I go we can attack instead of having to go around the entire board. I think that's totally fair" It wasn't, it was heavily skewed in my favor since I'm getting a lot more turns in but I feel like I'll be needing them, and they seemed to realize it as well as the blue guy, which I think the dad over there called Masho, called out.

"Fine by me kid, you're going to need those extra turns if you hope to stand up to even me, not to mention my colleges, so let's get this over with, draw your cards so we can get this over with" I just continued to smile in mock boredom as I drew my starting hand out, and as I looked them over as the spectators began to talk among themselves.

Kyu: 4000
Masho: 4000
Ohara: 4000
Ash: 4000

(Alex)

"Your little friend is going to lose, then I expect you to start to devote yourself to studying and getting better, alright?" I already was not in a good mood as I worriedly watched as Kyu drew his hand with that same level of boredom he always showed, but it was clear he was a bit tense as he stared down at the cards in his hand. It did nothing to help my nerves as for once I said the thing that was on my mind, I couldn't help it, his tone just made me angry.

"Kyu's going to win Dad, and then I hope you'll understand that I'm already in the top ten in my classes, I'm already doing fine" I think I've been spending to much time around Kyu, I'm sure he isn't a good influence on me, but he's the only one I know that puts up with me not out of obligation or from some relationship I don't even remember. No, he just stays around because he's my friend, my only friend really. Wasn't that sad. My 'father' seemed ready to rant my ears off as I felt myself look away, even if I didn't know him as my Dad, I still never liked disappointing people.

But before he could, Kyu suddenly called out, interrupting him on accident, or maybe not, I could never really tell with him, he was just so hard to read, but I never was the best at that anyway so maybe it doesn't mean as much.

"First up, I'll be playing the field spell card Mountain, which will come in handy later, set up I'll set one card and then end my turn" He didn't summon anything thing, why? I could tell he was running his dragons, I could see that from the use of Mountain. I never actually seen him use that deck yet, heck I don't even know if it's finished. All I can do is hope he knows what he's doing... It might be selfish but I don't want to lose my player one.

"What a weak start, I draw!" Masho was up next, while I did say I've dueled them, and it was true, it was only a few times when I first got here and I was so panicked and scared that I didn't really pay attention to their decks. I still know somethings, he runs a water deck, a powerful one.

"First I summon Atlantean Heavy Infantry in defense mode(0/1600), and then use it's effect meaning I can summon one level four or lower Sea Serpent-Type monster from my hand in addition to my first normal or set summon, and I choose Atlantean Marksman(1400/0). Sure I can't attack this turn, but you don't have anything and my acquaintances are free to use my monsters without my input, so with that I end my turn" It wasn't the strongest opening but it was better than Kyu's, though he didn't seem to worry as he called out.

"I draw...Now, I summon Red-Eyes Wyvern in attack mode(1800/1600)" Ok, a monster, that's good right? Judging from the smirk on Kyu's face, I think that it might be even better than good.

"Now, I activate the effect of one of my monsters in my hand, by banishing that Red-Eyes Wyvern, I can instantly summon out one of my strongest monsters. Say hello to Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, who also gets a 200 attack and defense boost from Mountain(3000/2600)" Oh my, it was intimidating, it might be because I know him, but to watch as the massive black, almost metallic dragon burst out of the form of the Wyvern as it roared with Kyu just smirking like everything was fine, well it was a powerful image. It helped my nerves at least to see something so powerful on his side.

"Now Red-Eyes attack that Marksman" The black dragon reared back before unleashing a massive blast of fire, instantly destroying the monster and plummeting Masho's life points. Kyu could have attacked one of the others to lower there life points by the full amount but I don't think he wants free tributes on the field for the others to use.

"With that I end my turn" Ok, that helps my nerves a lot, it isn't as stressful when he has something like that on the field, though I can't help but feel a bit confused as to when he had gotten something so powerful... Maybe it was that girl that gave Kyu some cards during one of our lunch periods like two weeks ago?

Kyu: 4000
Masho: 2400
Ohara: 4000
Ash: 4000

"I told you he was going to win" I wasn't sure why I had said it but the frown on my 'dad's' face made it worth it, I'm sure he'll give me a lecture on disrespect later, well in a year if he keeps his word, though I kind of have to admit to myself that maybe Kyu has a point, seeing him frown made me feel a bit better. Not that I'll ever tell him that.

"He's not terrible but those teachers will school him soon enough" I just frowned to myself as I looked away from him back to the duel as Ohara started his turn.

"I draw. Now I summon Elemental Hero Prisma, now I activate it's effect, by revealing a card from my extra deck, in this case Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot, I can send on of it's fusion materials to the grave and changes Elemental Prisma's name to that monster in the grave, which happened to be Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior. Now I play Polymerization and fusion summon that Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior on the field with the Valkyrion the Magna Warrior in my hand to bring out Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot(4000/4000)"

It shook me and from the falter in Kyu's grin, it affected him as well as we both watched as the massive monster rose from the polymerization portal as it landed on the field with a crash as Ohara called out.

"Destroy that tiny dragon Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot! Toolbox exploder!" Kyu frowned before calling out quickly.

"I activate my Scrap-Iron Scarecrow, negating your attack" For a second I was hopeful that he had stopped it, that quickly went away as Ohara called out right after.

"Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot, once per turn can negate and destroy any trap or spell card on the field, so I don't think so!" He just frowned as his dragon was destroyed as the winds seemed to press his clothes against his form even when he didn't react, too busy looking at the massive monster. I couldn't even do that as I noted my legs seemed to weaken a bit at the sight of the monster. I don't remember that thing from my duels with Ohara. Dad seemed to notice and said.

"It's an upgrade I gotten him just for this duel, and I must say, it most certainly paid off" I heard him but I didn't want to listen as I forced myself to stare at the massive monster on the field as Ohara ended his turn.

Kyu: 3000
Masho: 2400
Ohara: 4000
Ash: 4000

"I draw, now I play Magical Mallet whi-" Ohara called out sharply.

"I negate it with my Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot" He just blinked to himself as he discarded the spell as I looked at the two cards in his hand in worry, which made my heart seemingly drop into my stomach, at least until he smirked as he called out.

"Thanks for using your only negation on that, now I play Pot of Greed, getting me two cards" Oh thank god, Kyu baited him, now I can only beg that he got something good from those two draws. But my hopes were smashed as his expression broke, for just a moment into a hard frown before it was replaced with a blank look before that too was changed back into his bored smile, which now to everyone here knew was fake. Just as my heart was getting out of my stomach as well.

"I set two cards down and one monster face down before ending my turn" Only one card to defend himself with, and judging by his expression his back row isn't anything to call home about either. A worried frown forced it's way onto my face as I watched with worry as Ash started his turn.

"It would seem I'm up next then, I'll draw" Out of them all, Ash was the worst duelist on the field, I never really had a challenge against him, his deck was a simple one and I think that he was the one that was my starting instructor to ease me into the game, from what I've been told anyway. But that doesn't really matter when he has a four thousand attack monster on the field to help him out, not to mention just because he's the weakest doesn't mean he is bad.

"First up, I summon out Luster Dragon, who gets a boost thanks to the Field Spell(2100/1800), but that's not all the boosts he's going to get, I now play two of my Axes of Despair, boosting my Luster Dragon up to (3100/1800) and my friend's monster up to (5000/4000)" My legs felt even weaker as Kyu frowned to himself at what was odds I wasn't think either of us could beat.

Ash was the one that probably had the most influence over my deck's creation, as he also uses a lot of equips and I think I even got my Swords of Revealing Light from him, but this was just crazy. Kyu's dragon deck, I'm certain of it, couldn't counter something like this. Damn it! Come on, do something! Anything to get you another turn, I know you, you just need one more draw to turn this around...Right?

"Now Luster Dragon destroy his face down monster" It was like a movie that couldn't be paused as you watched your favorite character slowly die on screen, but it wasn't a character, it was my friend who was right in front of me, and who I might not be able to ever see again. Kyu was now glaring as he called out.

"I activate Magical Cylinder" It would have worked if not for-

"I don't think so, I'll negate it with my Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot!" Ohara near yelled it as the attack continued onward right at his face down, and in that moment just as I nearly gave up hope of another turn, I saw something that made my eyes widen...The frown on Kyu's face shifted into a cold smirk as he called out in a self satisfied tone.

"Thanks, I use my second trap card, Mirror Force! Say good bye!" Another bluff...It was the first time I had ever heard he yelled out in that much excitement, even as I watched with shock as the beam of power from the Dragon shot back and destroyed all three monsters on his opponent's field, I figured out why Kyu had yelled out. Kyu was having fun, he was having an actual back and forth duel with ups and down, and he was loving it. I couldn't help but laugh faintly at that in disbelief. My friend, my best friend, is kind of crazy isn't he?

"Don't think just because you beat my battlebot that we're defenseless. When my Imperion Magnum the Superconductive Battlebot is defeated by card effects, I can summon from my deck Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior(3000/2800) and Valkyrion the Magna Warrior(3500/3850)" Out of the frying pan into the fire I guess, my only real hope was the fact that Kyu didn't particularly look bothered by the two imposing monsters on the field.

"I believe it's my turn now right. I draw, and now I flip up my monster face, say hi to Morphing Jar, which means we all get rid of our hands and then draw five new cards, fun right?" I recognized that monster from his burn deck, when did he add it in? I couldn't really find myself to be curious as I was much more happy as Kyu traded one card in for five new ones. He looked them over for a moment before calling out.

"I activate Monster Reborn, allowing me to bring back out an old friend, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon(3000/2600), now I'll use it's effect to special summon one dragon from my hand or grave and I choose the Red-Eyes Black Dragon I had discarded from Morphing Jar's effect!(2600/2200)" It was shocking to see the two red eyes dragons on the field, I didn't think he had managed to get any monsters this strong, though I don't think I could ever find a reason why I wouldn't be happy about this, I still was a bit worried. He still didn't have anything strong enough to beat that Valkyrion.

"Now, I'll be tributing my Red-Eyes Black Dragon along with my Morphing Jar to bring out another new card of mine, The Creator(2500/3200) in defense mode" It was an alright defense but I wasn't sure it was worth getting rid of his own Red-Eyes Black Dragon, but like always with Kyu, he wasn't done yet.

"With him on the field, I can get rid of one card in my hand and then I can instantly summon my Red-Eyes right back from the grave with The Creator's effect!" Oh, I don't remember the Creator to be honest, it's an old card from what I can remember but that's about it, but that effect is most certainly a powerful one. Not to mention Kyu just managed to bring out three monsters, all that have or are over 2500 attack in one turn, which in this day and age is pretty impressive. But yet it still wasn't enough to get over those two monsters. Something Ohara seemed more than happy to point out

"So what? You have some fancy combos but you still can't touch my Magna Warriors!" I knew it to be true which was why I was still worried even as he continued to bring out those dragons, I was still worried all the same. 3500 attack is not something that can be scoffed at, especially when Kyu barely as a monster with 3000, and yet he didn't seem worried in the slightest, in fact, I think he was almost waiting for one of them to say that like they all were just idiotic children.

"Oh really? Well then I guess since it won't matter, I'll play one more card, the last card in my hand, Fighting Spirit, it's just a simple equip card that boosts my chosen monsters attack power by 300 for every monster you control, which is two meaning 600 attack points to my Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon(3600/2600), and correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that one hundred more attack points than your strongest monster has?" It was and that one hundred point difference was a beautiful sight as my best friend called out.

"Now Darkness Metal, destroy that Valkyrion" I felt like cheering as I watched the dragon's flames rushed out of the massive imposing monster as it rained hell fire down on the warrior as Ohara winced as his life points dropped a small amount as Kyu seemed to take a small breath to himself, probably thinking things over again. Everyone else also got five new cards and he'll have to deal with them next, and no matter many new monsters he's got now, if this drags on, he'll run out before they do and while he has some strong monster reviving power, if The Creator and Darkness Metal get destroyed he'll be in a very tight spot.

Kyu: 3000
Masho: 2400
Ohara: 3900
Ash: 4000

"I'm ending my turn by setting a face down card" And with that Kyu's new hand was completely gone, either in his grave or on his field. He's always had some pretty good luck with his draws but I was still worried about what everyone else had draw as well.

"About time, it's back to me again, I draw. Now I play Surface, which lets me summon back out form my grave a level three or lower Sea-Serpent and I choose Atlantean Heavy Infantry! Now while I do get one extra summon I won't be using it, instead I'll normal summon out Legendary Atlantean Tridon and use it's effect to tribute it along with my Altantean Heavy Infantry to bring out from my hand Poseidra, the Atlantean Dragon(2800/1600)" The Sea Serpent roared as it appeared on the field and while I hadn't recognized the monster, Kyu sure did as his eyes widened as Masho called out.

"Now Poseidra's effect activates, sending all spell and traps back to the owner's hand, and if three or more are returned then all your monsters lose three hundred attack points" Kyu grimaced to himself as he removed his field spell, which by itself minus his monsters power by 200 and from there he took out the set card he had just placed at the end of his turn. And that's when he unequipped his spell card from Darkness Metal, three. It was a painful sight to see his back row be returned as his attack was cut even more, now five hundred lower than at the start of this turn. This was going to be rough.

"Poseidra, the Atlantean Dragon, attack his Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, and you, Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior, destory that Red-Eyes!" He could have gone for The Creator which would have gotten rid of Kyu's ability to revive from the grave almost completely, but he was going for straight damage at the moment, and damage he did as Kyu frowned lightly as the hologram's force pressed into him, something he wasn't very all familiar with. He hardly takes damage in his duels after all. I think both of us weren't happy with this change of pace for him.

Kyu:2500

"I think that might be a good place to end my turn" Kyu's eyes were a bit tense as he reached for his cards to draw, but even then I could still see the clear glimmer of enjoyment in his eyes, it was clear as day with how normally void they are of emotions. Even as his massive play was broken down, he still was finding this exciting. I would be happy for him if it wasn't for the fact that I'm on an emotional roller coaster here.

"I draw... Now I'll send this monster to the grave to activate The Creator's effect to bring back Darkness Metal who will be bringing back Red-Eyes...Now I'll be resetting a few cards, my field spell Mountain, a face down and I'll be using my Fight Spirit again on Darkness Metal because I'm unoriginal to increases it's attack power back up to 3600, after all, that card effect only works on the monsters on the field when the effect was activated and you were so kind to give my dragon a hard reset"

He can keep bouncing back but I'm not sure how long he can keep doing that until he either decks out, which is a draw back of having so many turns and draw power cards, or he has to use his hand on something else and can't re-summon his monsters.

"Now Darkness Metal destroy that Berserkion the Electromagna Warrior, and with that I end my turn" He's focusing on Ohara, he probably sees him as the main threat since most of the strong monsters have come from him at this point.

Ohara: 3300

"Not very nice of you to destroy my monster like that. I draw. Now I play Double Summon, allowing me to normal or set two monsters this turn, I now summon Summoner Monk out and it's effect sends it into defense mode(800/1600), now I activate my spell card Future Fusion which will come in later, but for right now I summon out my Delta The Magnet Warrior in defense mode(1600/1400), next I send a spell to the grave to use Summoner Monk's effect, allowing me to summon one more monster and I choose Gamma The Electromagnet Warrior(800/2000), in defense mode as well. With that I end my turn"

He was stalling, gaining a wall of defense to help him stay in this while his Future Fusion charges up to more than likely bring out another one of those massive robots. Kyu would see through it as well, but that doesn't mean he'll be able to get through that massive wall of defense and still be able to take him down in time before he can rebuild it. Though, as I looked over towards Kyu, he looked like it wasn't a big deal at all, in fact, to most he probably doesn't look any different, but... I think he's more relaxed now.

"I'm up again, now I'll draw... Now, I'll be flipping up my trap card, Dragon's Rage, this handy little thing allows all dragons I control to inflict piercing damage" Ohara's eyes shot open wide as the trap was revealed as I recognized the card, it was one of the ones he had from the beginning of making his dragon deck, glad to see not all of them are new and completely foreign to me.

"So while you might have a decent defense, I'll just go right over it! Darkness Metal attack that Delta" The attack went forwards and slammed into Ohara's monster, making very quick work of it.

Ohara: 1100

"And now Red-Eyes attack that Summoner Monk!" I noticed it as the attack connected and I'm sure Kyu knew as well, but Ohara still have life points left, he was still in this, if by a small margin. It was worrying but I didn't think he would have to worry about Ohara anymore. One more attack and he would be done and there are a number of more turns in which Kyu can finish him off before Ohara can do anything to defend himself.

Ohara: 100

"And with that I think I'll end my turn" With that Ash was back up as he looked worriedly out at the field as he looked at all the powerful monsters out before he seemed to steady himself before calling out.

"I draw! Now I start by playing Swords of Revealing Light, now I'll play Mask of Dispel, what this does is it latches onto one spell card on the flied and every main phase you have while that card stays on the field, you take 500 damage, I'll chose Mountain!" Kyu's face broke into an actual grin for a moment, I think he thought the idea that someone was trying to use a burn and stall strategy against him was funny. I didn't find it near as amusing.

"And now I summon Luster Dragon(2100/1600) in defense mode along with setting a card and with that, I'll end my turn" It wasn't as fancy or as powerful as practically all the turns leading up to it, but it was scarily effective. Kyu was backed into a wall now, he couldn't attack and every turn he went through he would be taking five hundred damage, he could only last five of those, and while that might seem like a lot, with how many turns he gets, it's just another clock added onto him.

"Interesting, I'll just have to do something about that then. I draw... Heh, It's time for you all to meet one of my favorite dragons, I tribute Red-Eyes Black Dragon to summon out Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6(2500/1800), now I'll be using Darkness Metal to bring that Red Eyes right back" I couldn't help but smile a bit as I saw that card be summoned, I had never used it but I still remember finding it and thinking it was so cool and out of place. I'm glad it's found a place now.

"Now Horus, attack that Luster Dragon!" And since I've had it for so long I knew it's effects already, even as everyone yelled out in shock as Horus blasted forwards with a wave of purplish black flames which quickly destroyed the Luster Dragon as Kyu called out.

"You see, Horus here as a special effect, in which he simply isn't effected by things like spell cards, meaning you'll be taking some damage" He said that like it wasn't a massive deal but, while seeing Horus out was really nice, I was confused why he didn't just finish off Ohara now as Ash's life points ticked down a small bit.

"Now, I think that's good enough for now so with that I'll end my turn, and since I did that and Horus just destroyed a monster, he gets to evolve. So say hello everybody to my ace. Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 (3200/2000)" As the already big dragon began to glow before it fully transformed into the massive form of the silvery dragon, I almost couldn't believe my eyes as I looked at it for a long moment. Really! When did he get all these cards!

Kyu: 2000
Masho: 2400
Ohara: 200
Ash: 3600

"Back to me then, let's see...Ha! You've been doing pretty well up until now, but with this card, you're finished! I play Raigeki!" The name of the card causes a massive spike of instinctual panic and fear to rush into me while Kyu just let out a laugh which shocked Masho as he called out.

"LV6 allowed nullification to him alone, can you guess what Horus at LV8 gets? He gets to say screw you, Horus can instantly negate and destroy any spell card when it's effects are activated at my choosing" I knew that but I had forgotten in my panic, so I could feel the relief wash over me as Kyu confirmed it as I watched at the thundering card just sputter out as Masho grimaced to himself before calling out.

"Fine, I-...I set two cards face down and end my turn" He must have had a hand full of spells then. That's just unlucky, though speaking of unlucky, I watched as the Mask of Dispel triggered before promptly blowing up as Horus glowed on the battle field. And suddenly I realized something. Every single one of the instructors plays have so far been pretty reliant on spells, and with Horus on the field, Ohara's Future Fusion was gone so was that Mask from Ash, along soon with-

"I draw, now Horus attack Ash directly!" Just like I had figured, Horus let out a, frankly massive, beam of almost pure black fire with purple highlights as it slammed into the Swords of Revealing Light, only for it's effect to trigger which caused Horus to glow as the swords were suddenly shattered as the attack shot through and slammed into Ash as he skidded backwards as Kyu just hummed to himself as he looked over the card he drew before calling out.

"Red-Eyes finish him off" With that and one more blast of fire, Ash was out as his life points hit zero as I felt a lot of relief from one of the three being defeated, but it seemed that Kyu was far from done.

"Now I activate the spell card Dragon's Gunfire, instantly inflicting you Ohara with 800 damage, goodbye. Now then, on to you Masho. Let's see, I can't finish you off just yet but I can destroy that monster. Darkness Metal" And just like that the three's field was cleared along with two of them being defeated. That was why Kyu didn't just finish off Ohara, he didn't want to focus on him until he had to so he could do the most damage at once.

Kyu: 2000
Masho: 1600
Ohara: 0
Ash: 0

"D-damn it, I draw! I activate Monster Reborn-" The card shattered the second it hit the field, that was quickly followed by the shattering of two more spell cards as Masho just glared at Kyu in anger as my friend just stared right back with a light smirk playing on his face.

"I-I end my turn" In a moment after those words had been said as my heart began to rise, as the end approached as Kyu drew, looked down at the card in his hand for a moment before smirking even more as he called out.

"I set a card then I activate Emergency Provisions, and I'll send Fight Spirit, Mountain, Dragon's Rage, and the just set Polymerization to the grave in exchange for 4000 extra life points...Now Horus, finish him by attacking directly" And just like that it was over as Kyu stood before the three defeated men as almost in unison Masho's life points shot down as Kyu's soared even high up than it started with.

Kyu: 6000
Masho: 0
Ohara: 0
Ash: 0

God damn was that a tad stressful and fun, like a lot of fun, it was most certainly the most challenging duel I've ever had. The funny thing is I almost didn't take the one card that most certainly saved me from my burn deck, Morphing Jar, I had only planned on taking Magic Cylinder and Mirror Force, but damn am I glad I decided to take a few more, they all played a very important role in this win. I knew I would burn through my hand and would be top decking pretty quickly on, so I mostly added that in for a new hand and damn if it didn't pay off.

Though as I turned off my disk and slotted my cards into my deck case again I noted that Alex seemed to be in shock, though there was a clear lack of tension in his form now. Honestly, throughout the duel I had been keeping an eye on him and I think he had like three panic attacks throughout it, I'm glad he seems to be feeling better now. Honestly, this entire duel was a hard one, I got really lucky and so did my opponents, especially Ohara. A first turn fusion with 4000 attack is stupid at this age of the game. Of course I kept following that up by summoning three to four monsters a turn but still.

But since I got so many more turns I was able to balance it out a bit, though it was a bit of a struggle, especially when I ended up bricking a few times at the end, but Horus came in clutch, first time using his final form and he's already shown why I see him as my ace. I had a small smile on my face and I left it there, still just enjoying the feelings washing over me as I turned and walked up to the dad and said.

"Well, that was interesting. Anyway, nice to meet you, I'm sure we'll run into each other soon, I mean I am staying here for my break after all" With that I turned and walked off as I continued to smile, though to be honest it was probably closer to a smirk as I walked on for a few feet before Alex caught up to me, walking at me side as he said.

"Dude, next time could you not just randomly accept dueling more than one person at once?" He seemed serious so I just chuckled to myself before saying back to him as I continued on walking down the hall the way we had come from.

"I'll try but damn if that wasn't fun" He just scowled at that as it was pretty clear he didn't want to go through something like that again before saying.

"But what if you lost, then we wouldn't be able to talk to each other" I just blinked at that as I noted how serious he was, so I just laughed to myself before saying to him in tone of complete mild seriousness.

"Oh please, like I would let that happen" Alex went back to being shocked so I just explained simply.

"It's called lying, honestly your dad is not influential enough to get to the school, well probably. My point is even if I lost, then I would just leave here but he can't do anything when you leave and head back to the academy where we could continue to hang out, nothing would actually change" He blinked to himself as he thought about that for a second before smacking his palm to his forehead as he muttered something to himself before turning back to me and said in a huffy voice.

"You still worried me" I thought about that for a second before letting my smile drift down a bit as I said.

"Well you didn't have to be, I'm not planning on going anywhere"

"Hey honey, I'm just checking up on you" I withheld my sigh as I listened to my 'mom's' voice coming from my phone. I had been expecting this call for a while now, even when I had to call them to at least let them know about my plans. Something about permission needed which I found dumb but couldn't really get around. it hadn't been to hard, though they did seem to be a bit disappointed though I truly didn't care much.

"Hey mom, I'm doing fine" I'm not honestly the best at manipulation when it comes to parent's, their protective nature is both a challenge and an easy way in. But I've never had to do this when it's my parent, well that's technically untrue, my parent that I've had a total of about ten sentences worth of conversation with.

"That's nice to hear, what about your little friend? How is she?" So she might me under the impression that Alex is a girl, honestly I have no idea why but I found it hilarious so I haven't bothered with correcting her. Plus she seemed to be weirdly happy that I was apparently getting along with a girl. I think she likes the idea of grandkids and while that's so more than likely not going to happen, no reason to piss her off and make my life harder in the process.

"They're fine, the parents are a bit unenthusiastic but I don't really run into them much" I think that was a mix of how big the house was so running into them was naturally hard and I'm sure they also have taken to avoid me as well since it's pretty clear that they really don't like me, but a deal's a deal so they aren't doing anything to actively remove me.

"Oh don't worry about it honey, your a sweet kid. I'm sure you'll grow on them" I had to hold back a snort at that and just refrained enough to just roll my eyes. Yeah, me sweet, that totally sounds like an adjective that can be used for me, not emotional detached, sadistic, sarcastic, bored, hell even sociopathic, nope, sweet is certainly the better fit than all those ones. And that's not even getting into the fact that I really could barely careless if Alex's family likes me. The only reason I care any at all is because it'll make things more difficult on Alex.

"I guess" She just seemed to sigh on the other end, was the person before me in this body unconfident? Because if so then it's going to be a pain to 'work up' being more confident and out going. Anyway, that seemed to push the conversation a slightly awkward area as the woman on the other end of the phone, after a moment just said softly.

"Well, I just wanted to check up on you so I'll let you go and get back to your friend, it is suppose to be your break after all" She is trying, it's just to bad I have no reason to care about that so I gave some few general conversation enders so I just didn't hang up abruptly and after a bit of saying goodbye, I hung up. Snapping my phone closed with a sigh, I dropped it into my pocket as Alex, from his side of the room just said.

"I guess I'm not the only one with some family problems?" He was trying to make a joke so I just did the nice thing and let out an amused huff before saying back.

"Something like that" He just frowned at that as it was clear he didn't like that both of us weren't really happy with our new families. Honestly mine wasn't that bad, of course I don't know really know any of them that well. I mean, that's the third conversation I've had with that woman and besides that I've only had a single conversation with my 'dad' so it's not like I should be able to judge them. I just don't like people who arbitrarily get to make my decisions for me, especially ones that I don't actually know.

"You okay dude?" I blinked as I heard Alex's voice as I turned back to look at him for a moment, wondering why he felt the need to ask, still, maybe he was just worried or something so I said back.

"I'm fine, just lost in thought really, but it's nothing important" He seemed to think about it for a moment before deciding I wasn't lying as he looked away back to his computer for a moment, with a look of vague interest passing over his expression as he read whatever was on it. I didn't really care as I just laid back on the bed and looked up at the ceiling fan. Stealth wasn't there this time...I wonder why?

"Excuse me Mister Romine, your mother would like you to come to the foray to introduce you to someone" I blinked to myself as Alex just sighed as from out side his door came the voice. A bit impersonal to the help do it but that might as well sum up this family, impersonal. Alex just stood up like he was somewhat use to this before pausing as he got to the door and said.

"You want to tag along?" He didn't really want to go by himself, I think that's what he's trying to say, not with those exact words though, still, I nodded and stood up and followed after him. I didn't have much else to do at the moment so this was fine by me. With that I followed after him as I yawned to myself as we walked onward. Though as we walked, I blinked to myself as I watched as Stealth flew through a near by wall, because spirit, before landing on my shoulder.

Looking over at the Stealth as he rested, I just raised an eyebrow. Stealth just nudged his head against my check, he was trying to get my attention then. I just slowed my pace down a small bit so I was trialing behind Alex by a step or two as I raised an eyebrow at the bird. Stealth just motioned like he was chirping before flying off forwards in the direction I was already heading. Follow? Well, I'm kind of already doing that. I wonder what's going on.

A minute or so later I had my answer as I walked out into the foray with Alex a step a head of me though that quickly changed as he froze as I stepped out behind him to see what he was looking at. I masked my own shock much better than he did, but I will admit, it was surprisingly to see bloody Maximillion Pegasus in a red suit standing in the middle of the room.

As I've been writing this I've decided to change up a few things, for one for the first time ever, I used someone else's POV for a part of the chapter, which was neat and it worked better to help understand his character a bit along with letting me not have to deal with inner monologue while also having Kyu play his cards, I kind of like it but it was more of an experiment more than anything, but I think I'll start using this a bit more often just as an experiment to play with in this story to see if I want to stick with it for later. I've also recently been messing around with the duel format for this story, last chapter the life points were separate to help keep track and here I expanded on it by having a four person duel, which was an interesting challenge to write. The main thing is I completed the duel and then decided I didn't like how it ended like the day after, after I had already gotten rid of the card draw history and field status which I use to keep track of everything, so I just worked from the ground up after Morphing Jar's effect was used and I think it works much better like this. Anyway, See ya.
