I Don't Own Yugioh

"Shouldn't you be worried?" I blinked my eyes open as I looked over at Alex, I knew what he was talking about, the duel tomorrow with Jaden. I didn't really see a reason to worry, I've already come up with some form of a plan given all the outcomes I can think of. I normally wouldn't care enough to do that but this has something to do with the plot so I figured it wouldn't hurt any to be some what more prepared for once.

"Why? It's just a duel like any other, if I lose then whatever, plot's the same, if I win then I'll either think of something or I'll just beat Chazz. I see no reason to be worried about this" Alex just sighed and shook his head, clearly not knowing why I could be so uncaring about it, which was fine as I didn't understand why he put so much importance on it.

"But don't you think this is important, I mean it's Jaden Yuki, he's kind of a big deal, the Supreme King of Darkness and all that" I just rolled my eyes at that. Over time I've managed to get quite the bit of extra plot knowledge from Alex, but even without that I already knew that point was a bit silly.

"I some how doubt he has been taken over yet, nor do I think that he's planning on making this a shadow duel" Alex just frowned at that, I couldn't actually tell since I wasn't looking at him and instead was staring up at the ceiling but I know him well enough at this point to guess his current expression.

"Is that when you'll start to take this seriously, when your life is on the line?" I thought about correcting him and saying it was more like my soul, then I would have made a joke about me needing one of those first but I didn't. But I decided not to after a moment and instead just said.

"Probably" I was a lot more serious about this when I first got here, I mean it was the main reason why I accepted most duels that came my way to get use to it all because duels were so important to this world, but now I've decided that I no longer really care about how important they are and instead am mostly doing it at this point because it's a thing to do, I mean it's fun and it's not like I have a lot else to do at the moment, I'm only like fifteen at the moment and heavily limited in funds.

"Do you at least have a plan? I mean which deck are you going to use?" I hummed to myself at that last question as I looked up at the ceiling, now more at the ceiling fan, where Stealth was perched up on.

"I would like to use my burn deck as I prefer to keep my dragon one in more of a reserve but heroes are not a good deck to try and stall against. One bad opening hand is all it would be needed for Jaden to get some of his strongest monsters out, and I know for a fact that he'll probably have a few cards that can get rid of my spells and traps so the safest option is my dragons" Alex seemed to think that over for a moment before saying.

"I was hoping you would say that, I've only see you use that deck once and it was pretty awesome. It fits you more to have giant powerful dragons as your deck than a bunch of traps and tricks" I think that's just the cool factors affecting his judgment as I know for a fact that traps and tricks are a lot more up to my speed, but I'll take the compliment all that same I guess.

"We'll see, all I really need is Horus and I have this duel mostly in the bag. Jaden's deck relies a lot on spells from what I remember" Of course I'm sure there are trap cards that could also get him out of a jam but limiting his ability to bring out monsters alone by negating spell cards might be all I need to win the duel before he can pull out the needed trap.

"I think your getting a bit cocky, you still need to get out Horus LV6 out before eight can come into play and if you do get him out there is nothing saying you'll be able to get it's condition through before it's destroyed" He's thinking about this to much, I mean so have I as I already knew Horus' flaws all to well but still.

"I know, that's why I said mostly" I'm not dumb, Jaden is easily the best duelist here besides that one guy that I can't seem to remember the name of. I know my chances of losing are a lot higher than they normally are but I have yet to duel him so it's not like I can actually weigh those odds at the moment. I'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

"Hey buddy! Ready to get your game on?" Oh god I forgot about that catch phrase, I never really liked catch phrases, which is ironic considering I've started using one myself after I win a duel but that mostly came out of just being bored and I just started using it at some point then I never stopped. Well, I guess the same could be said about him as well so maybe I have nothing to talk about.

"Sure, but be careful about what you wish for. I hope you don't mind if I take the first move" He just smiled like he had no problems in the world, and honestly at this point he doesn't, he's just a fun loving kid who's weirdly good at card games. It's interesting to see how people can grow up, but I'm not here for a character study so instead I just reached down to my side and pulled out the deck of cards I would be using before slotting them into my duel disk, activating it.

"Sure man go right on ahead" I normally would have wanted to go second, just in general that's how I prefer it but I don't want to be playing reactively to him, that would mean he'll have a better chance of directing the direction of this duel and I didn't need that. Besides my opening hand wasn't that bad either so it wasn't a major downside to go first.

"Alright then, I play a spell card Dragon Shrine, this allows me to send one dragon to my graveyard, the one i pick is Divine Dragon Ragnarok, and since it was a normal monster I can send one more to the grave, Blackland Fire Dragon. Now then, I'll be activating a continuous spell, Card Trader, before setting a card and then normal summon out Luster Dragon(1900/1600) ending my turn" Most of this was just set up for later plays but it worked. Jaden on the other hand was smiling as he called out.

"Whoa! I didn't know you used dragon's that sick man! I'm getting excited now! I draw! Up front I'll be playing E - Emergency Call which lets me add one Elemental Hero to my hand. Next up get ready for Polymerization, by sending the two monsters in my hand I can now fusion summon out Elemental Hero Flame Wing Man (2100/1200) and next up I'll be normal summoning out Elemental Hero Clayman in defense mode(800/2000)" Damn he's already got some of his stronger monsters on the field along with a strong defense as well. Damn.

"Now Elemental Hero Flame Wingman destroy that Luster Dragon!" I remember Flame Wingman's effect, this wasn't going to be pleasant, so I just frowned as I felt the air buffer agasint me for a moment as I watched as my life points ticked down a small before before Jaden followed up by saying.

"But that's not all folks, now Flame Wingman's effect activates, since he just destroyed your monster, you now take damage equal to that destroyed monsters attack!" 2100 damage in his first turn, damn, that was annoying but I can get back from this, I just have to be a bit more careful is all.

Kyu: 1900
Jaden: 4000

"With that I'll set two cards and end my turn. Good luck!" If it were someone else I'd think he was mocking me but he wasn't so I just brushed it off and instead drew out my next card, looking down at it for a long moment before looking back up at the field before calling out.

"I activate my trap card Level Conversion Lab, and I'll be using it on my Red-Eyes Black Dragon, now a dice is going to be rolled, if it's on a one then my monster get's destroyed but if it's two through six then it becomes that level for this turn only. With that a holographic dice appeared before twirling in the air for a moment before landing on... four, a bit closer than I would like but I can make it work.

"Now since Red-Eyes Black Dragon is a level four monster, I can now normal summon him out with no problems so that's what I do(2400/2000), now Red-Eyes destroy that Flame Wingman" The blast of fire rushed forwards and just like that the monster was gone but Jaden was smiling, what?

"Well that's fine by me as I can now activate my set cards, first since a hero I control was destroyed I can activate Hero Signal, allowing me to summon out any fourth level for lower hero monster from my deck and I choose Elemental Hero Sparkman(1600/1400), but I'm not done as I play my other face down card, Change of Hero - Reflector Ray, this card activates when you destroy one of my fusion monsters you take damage equal to the fusion monsters level times 300, the level of Flame Wingman is six" Oh, damn that's annoying, and painful.

"Well that's nice and all, well not really, that's a pain but to make up for it I'll play a spell card, Dragon's Gunfire, because I control a Dragon I can instantly inflict you with 800 damage, free of charge before ending my turn" Jaden just continued to smile, which was fair, three turns in and I'm already pushed to the absolute edge. Have I just been heavily over estimating myself? Is this the level that the main cast is at? If so then that's really annoying. At least he doesn't have anymore cards, I mean neither do I but at least the chances are he can't win with that one draw.

Jaden: 2900

"Cool, I'm up again, and so I'll draw! Now then, I play The Warrior Returning Alive, which lets me bring one of my monsters from my grave to my hand, and from my hand I can normal summon it onto the field so say hello again to Elemental Hero Burstinatrix(1200/800), and with that I end my turn" Three, three Heroes I have to deal with, the only consultation is I have the strongest monster on the field but the second he draws another Polymerization that can change fast.

"I draw" Oh holy hell this is going to be risky, but I need more cards at the moment so I just to have to hope i get something really good.

"I play Card of Sanctity, which allows both of us to draw until we have six cards" Jaden seemed pleasantly surprised as we both drew our fresh hands as I looked my new cards over for a moment with a sense to relief in my chest. Ok, I can most certainly work with this. Damn am I glad I decided to switch some cards around.

"First up I summon out Masked Dragon, before banishing him to bring out Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon(2800/2400), next I play double summon, which allows me to set another monster onto the field, in face down position. Next I set two cards in my back row and now I think it's time for some pay back" I was out of cards again but this should make up for it.

"Darkness Metal destroy that Burstinatrix, and Red-Eyes destroy the Sparkman!" The attacks rushed forwards and it was a great sight to see in my opinion as Jaden's life points took a massive hit, his field was mostly clear and now I had two of my strongest monsters on my side now along with some trap cards I really needed to have in my back row. The only thing was he now had a full hand and that worries me. Still, I couldn't do anything so I just called out that my turn was over.

Kyu: 100
Jaden: 500

"Nice move man! This duel is really getting me pumped but don't count me out yet! I draw! Now I play Polymerization! Now I use my Clayman, Bubbleman, and Sparkman to fusion Summon out Elemental Hero Tempest(2800/2800)! Now Elemental Hero Tempest attack the Red-Eyes Back Dragon!" Yeah no, I'm not going down just yet.

"I activate my trap card Scrap-Iron Scarecrow, instantly negating your attack!" Jaden didn't say anything but nodded that he understood as the two of us faced off for a moment, both way to low on life points for a miss play, I noted faintly that I was grinning to myself. Hell, I should have figured this would have been fun.

"Fine by me, I'll just get you next time, for now I end my turn after setting a card" Hmm, now all I have to worry about is overpowering the monster in front of me, I have options but none that I can just pull out in a single draw. I'm going to have to get lucky if I don't want him to get another turn from this.

"I draw! I return the card using Card Traders effect top draw another, now I think it's time to end this, I attack your Elemental Tempest with Darkness Metal and Red-Eyes will attack you directly" It was risky but it should be fine, I couldn't risk this going and dragging out anymore and my brick of a draw wasn't helping me. So it made it all the more unfortunate as Jaden called out.

"I don't think so, I activate my trap card, Hero Barrier, as long as I control at least one Hero I can negate one attack from you and I pick the one coming from the Darkness Metal Dragon!" I had to cancel the attack from Red-Eyes or I would have ended myself but this put me in a difficult position. Jaden has a number of cards I'm sure that can increases this monsters power and it would only take a small breeze to knock me over at the moment. My only defense is Scrap Iron at the moment.

"Fine I set both of my Red-Eyes in Defense mode and end my turn" I wasn't going to risk him drawing something strong enough to overpower Darkness Metal so I had to play it safe for the time being. I just have to hope my secondary trap comes into play so I can start working for a more risky win.

"Cool, back to me then, I draw! Now I play a Fifth Hope, sending five Elemental Heroes from my graveyard back into my deck and letting me draw two more cards. Now I play R - Righteous Judgement, which lets me destroy as many traps and spells equal to the amount of heroes I control, since I control one I'm going to get rid of that Scarp-Iron Scarecrow!" I frowned as it was destroyed, I really needed to have that trap but I can still make due. I hope.

"Now I'm going to set a card and attack the Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, with Tempest!" I couldn't do anything about it, my Scrap-Iron was gone and my play to protect myself from damage misfired, making it so I was losing the only card that could have protected me until I got something else out. This was not going well at all.

"I end my turn!" I needed something, I could only think of one card in my deck right this second that could pull me from this, and the chances of drawing it weren't the best at the moment, but I have Card Trader up so there is a chance, I just really have to hope.

"I draw, now I activate Card Trader to switch out one of my cards" No, another brick. Damn it. I just sighed before calling out.

"I end my turn" Jaden smiled brightly at that as he quickly took over from my lack luster turn by calling out.

"I draw, now I summon out Elemental Hero Clayman(800/2000), and now that I have two Elemental Hero monsters on the field I play HERO's Bond, which lets me normal summon two more Elemental Hero's from my hand under level four, and I pick Elemental Hero Sparkman(1600/1400) and Elemental Hero Avian(1000/1000) both in Attack mode and now I flip up my trap card Elemental Recharge! This gives me 1000 life points for ever Elemental Hero I control!" Oh god damn it, that just made this a lot more difficult.

Kyu: 100
Jaden: 4500

"Now Elemental Hero Tempest, attack the Red-Eyes Black Dragon, and Elemental Hero Sparkman attack the face down monster!" It's times like these that I'm really glad that I play trap decks often but I really wish I had slotted in a Mirror Force or something, but this works as well.

"I activate my trap card, Waboku, for the rest of this turn I take no damage and my monsters can't be destroyed by battle" It was one of the new cards that I got from all those packs I got from Pegasus. It was a lucky break but if it works it works.

"Ah man, I keep thinking I have you! No biggy, I'll set a card and end my turn" Of course he'd say that, he's over the life points he started with and I'm at the lowest possible point for life points that I can be at. Come on, I really need a luck draw right now.

"I draw, now I trade... I flip up my set monster to reveal Morphing Jar, we both send our current hands to the grave and draw five more cards" It was risky because we both were getting about the same amount in new cards, but the cards I drew made it probably worth it as I looked them over for a moment before calling out.

"I tribute Morphing Jar to bring out Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6, now I play Level Up! on him to instantly bring out Horus The Black Flame Dragon LV8(3000/1800), next I play Inferno Fire Blast, by using my Red-Eyes Black Dragon I can instantly deal his original attack in damage straight to your life points. Now Horus attack Tempest!" It might not be the best play as I could just attack his normal monsters to deal even more damage but I didn't want to have to worry about his strongest monster.

"With that I end my turn" I could have attack that Avian which would have shot him down to 100 life points but that would leave him open to draw a card or trap that could increase his monsters power up and above Horus', so for right now I just have to play it careful.

Kyu: 100
Jaden: 1900

"Alright I'm back up, to bad I'm also back down on life points but let's see if this draw can change that! Oh? I play Skyscraper!" I instantly shut that down by calling out.

"I activate Horus's effect, every time a spell is activated I can choose to instantly negate and destroy it, and that's what I do" Jaden frowned at that as he looked back down at his hand for a moment, clearly he had a number of spells in there is he was having trouble with what to do.

"Alright then, I set one card and then I summon out Elemental Hero Wildheart(1500/1600) in Defense mode, and I'll also be setting all my monsters on the field into Defense mode as well before ending my turn" Now he's the one that has to be careful, unfortunately for him he can no longer fusion summon which means my chances of victory are now basically certain, especially with the fact that at this point most of his monsters are in his grave. Damn if this wasn't fun but I got to say, I thought it would be closer than just him running out of options. Whatever.

"I draw, now I'll summon out Red-Eyes Wyvern(1800/1600). Wyvern attack Sparkman and Horus destroy Clayman" One more turn and it was over, that's all there was to say. It was relieving and-

"I activate my trap card! Clay Charge, when Clayman is attacked this trap destroys the attack and Clayman while also inflicting the attacker with 800 points of damage" Wait...What?

It was a weird feeling, I have to say it was a really weird feeling, I'm fine with losing, I've said that since I got here, but to have it actually happen... It was strange, maybe I really have gotten way too use to winning for this to truly come as shocking as it is. Huh. I ignored whatever Stealth was trying to convey to me as I looked up over at the grinning form of Jaden before thinking it over for a moment before shrugging and saying.

"Good duel" He just smiled and gave me a thumb's up. I mean what else was there to say, it was a good duel, we both were in a number of tight positions and he got a very lucky card onto the field, and so he won. I'm fine with that, sure it's a bit weird that I've lost but my pride wasn't going to be suddenly torn asunder because of it. It's just taking me a moment to adjust to the feeling really. But I didn't particularly mind, I mean I had to lose at some point, to think otherwise would be ridiculous. Still, I am a tad bit disappointed.

"You ok dude?" I blinked as I looked over at Alex, he looked worried for some reason, I didn't get it.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" He just stared at me for a moment before sighing and saying.

"You truly don't actually care do you? You lost your first duel since coming here and you don't care" Yeah? Of course I didn't, did he just assume that I would care out of some misplaced bit of pride or something? I'll admit, I can be a prideful man, there are a number of things I will not nor I will ever do, but I'm not so blindfully prideful that losing a card game is going to do something to me, I'm not Kaiba, I'm fully fine with losing if the stakes don't matter, doesn't mean I really like it but it isn't something that I let bother me.

"Why would I? If this was the Pokemon universe then I would try harder but for right now I see no reason to give a damn about some unimportant duel that from the looks of things will have zero consequences. Sure I'm not particularly glad or happy I lost but I didn't lose anything from it and to be honest if I won I was planning on letting Jaden duel Chazz anyway just so I wouldn't have to deal with the plot anymore than necessary" Alex didn't seem to understand the Pokemon reference but it wasn't meant for him, on a side note the fourth wall somewhere just cracked a bit I'm sure.

"I- I don't really mind losing either, you should know that with how many times you've beat me but I still don't like it, not to mention every duel is important, with you I know it's just for fun but everyone else I feel like, I don't know, it feels like it's important to never lose, to not give up. Of course you wouldn't understand that" I just rolled my eyes at that, I knew very well what that was like. For as easy going as I appear, I can easily be one of the most stubborn people you'll ever meet. It's just that I don't have anything to put that will power towards. I'm literally just floating without a direction.

"You not as uncaring as I am either, plus you, like everyone else in this world, probably follow the laws this universe has set out. Dueling is a very serious matter, when it matters, but even when it doesn't for some reason millions of people watch it like it's the most important and easily the most impressive sport in the world. I'd say conditioning but I think it has more to do with the very clear and real application of magic or whatever duel monsters use" It was a working theory, it might not be true but it doesn't hurt to talk about it anyway.

"What? Um, uh I guess that might be possible but if that's true, shouldn't you be affected as well then?" I shrugged at that because that was true, I should be affected and I think I am. I'm not really a massive fan of playing most deck builder games because I both don't particularly like deck building nor am I good at it, not to mention all the money that has to be shilled out to get certain cards. Yeah no, it's not usually my scene. Sure I like yugioh as a game but I never had a high vested interest in it, before I came here that is, and yet now I'm building extra decks and optimizing them based on what I have and it's suddenly a lot more entertaining, that doesn't sound right on paper now does it.

"I'm certain I'm also being affected, maybe not in the same way but I know enough about myself to know when something is manipulating me. The only problem is I think my sheer lack of uncaring about most things has made it that my interest in winning hasn't been changed as much as it has in others, like you for example" Alex just looked away at that. It's probably not the nicest reminder that I'm pretty much a robot, to be fair I could be a lot worse, he's only seen my boredom, but not most of the things I'm willing to do to cure it, and I plan to keep it that way.

I'll admit, I'm a naturally very protective person, I might not seem like it but that's because no one I like has been in any form of danger yet here. My point here is, I don't want anything to happen to Alex, and if something does happen then I will personally destroy whoever is responsible. I'm sure some would find that weird, but I'd do it for anyone I like enough to consider a friend, it's just as it happens I only really have two friends at the moment and he's the only one that is human.

Well, maybe not, I mean from the looks of things I think Jaden might think we're friends so that's something I guess. Then again I think anyone that gives him a good duel he would consider a friend, as long as there isn't anything at stake that is. So that's something I guess, though in the future I'll know to look out for more than just spells and monster effects from him. Though I must admit I am a bit annoyed that during that entire duel I didn't get the single card that could have almost instantly had me win at a number of points during the duel, not to mention my draws weren't the greatest either but that's just the game of luck that comes into play in dueling.

"I guess you're not so great after all" Rose seems to think this is the time to gloat, I just looked over at her before raising an eyebrow. I wonder why one loss makes her suddenly so much more confident. Maybe it's an observer thing, she now knows I can be defeated, that I'm not all powerful. It's dumb.

"Perhaps but that's still leagues above you isn't it?" She glared at me for that to which I just smiled back at her. Making sure she knows that even if I'm not unbeatable doesn't mean that she can beat me, of course that was an arrogant statement, I'm sure I could beat Jaden if we dueled again, after seeing him in action I'd say it would be fifty-fifty on which way it would fall, but I lost the only match I had with him so it's fair to say that I'm just worse than him, even if it might not actually be true, so it's completely possible from the one duel I had with Rose that she might be better than I give her credit for, but as it seems, I think I'm the only person alive that thinks like that so I guess it doesn't matter.

"I can't wait until your pride is your own downfall" I just tilted my head to the side before rolling my eyes as I said back to her.

"Well I guess you seeing the mighty fall would make you feel better about your own low ranking" She glared at me for that and seemed to be about to say something but before she could a guy stepped out from behind her and glared at me, it had more effect since he was actually the same height as me but that really didn't matter much in the grand scheme of things. He looks like a rich kid meaning I highly doubt he's been in an actual fight before, so if he tries anything I think he'd be more likely to hit himself than me.

"Is this guy bothering you babe?" Oh, the jealous boyfriend then? What a stereotype, judging by his coat, he's an Obelisk but that was to be expected with how much he smelled like money. Literally, I've gotten use to a certain weird smell while I was at Alex's place and he had the same scent, I wonder if he wore the air freshener that was sprayed in that place as a perfume or something.

"It's nothing Travis" Travis? Well that just sounds like an annoying name, I've known people named Travis, I had a friend named that as well, so I'm pretty sure that makes me an expert when I say that he looks, sounds, and acts annoying. This idea was proven mostly true as he looked at me, to which I just gave him an eyebrow raise before saying.

"Listen here shrimp, I don't want you tot talk to my Rose every again, got it bud?" Rose seemed to frown at the words 'my Rose' hmm, trouble in paradise perhaps? Well, I don't really care about that. If he's bothering her then she can get rid of him on her own, or go to someone else for help, someone who cares. That didn't mean I was fine with letting that insult to me slide, mostly because of how stupid it was.

"We're the same height, besides the fact that you look like you eat twice as much as me, I don't really think you can call me a shrimp. Not to mention I can talk to whoever I want, if you have a problem with that, well, I don't honestly care" He glared at me now and seemed to jut his chin up like that would suddenly add a few inches to him instead of looking like an idiot. Didn't mean I didn't notice his hands ball up into fists. If he's going to try anything then he'll be in a world of hurt, and honestly I was looking a bit forward to seeing if he would. It's been a while since I punched someone.

"Aren't you just an arrogant little loser, listen here you Ra reject, you don't get to talk to your betters like that" Ah, he's sticking to words, well I guess out of the two this would hurt him the least, psychically at any rate, as I'm sure his pride isn't going to find this to be a fun conversation.

"Oh? You see that might matter if any of my betters were here, but at it stands the only person I see at the moment is an idiotic waste of space so I would appreciate it if you took your own advice" I can see a vein pop out a bit on his forehead, I just gave him a bored look before giving Rose a half nod, like she was of as much interest as he was as I turned and walked away from the two. Paying attention to if any foot steps were coming from behind me just in case one of the two tries anything, but I highly doubted it.

More and more people were challenging me recently, I declined a number of them just because I didn't really feel like it. I think my rep has been damaged a bit, and if I cared about something like that I'm sure I would be more annoyed but really the only thing that was annoying me was the random people challenging me. Anyway at the moment I was by myself, completely alone, no Stealth flying around or hiding out in my soul, and I was in the middle of the forested area of the school, just walking around at night because why not.

At least that was the plan as I sat down looking out from under the moon at the cliff side I found myself at. I was a healthy couple steps away from the edge as I wasn't really fond of heights as I looked out at the open sky. It was a nice sight to be honest, but something was off. I couldn't really tell what it was but it was there, like the air here wasn't quite right. Normally I would have figured it was because of how high up I was but I knew thinned out air and this wasn't that.

Maybe it's just me being dizzy from lack of sleep, that could totally be it but I got some actually nice amount of sleep not to long ago so what is the problem here? I sighed to myself as I laid back a bit so I was laying in the grass as I looked up at the night sky, the stars bright and vivid with how little light pollution was out here. It was a nice sight and it wasn't the first time I had come out here just to look at it. Mostly the moon, I've always been somewhat of a fan of the moon, no idea why, probably an night owl thing or something.

After a moment of thinking of nothing my mind helpfully supplied a list of things to think about just because I can never not think about something. I just continued to look up at the air for a long moment before frowning to myself as my thoughts cleared up as I watched as a bird flew over head. It wasn't Stealth, I know what he looks like now, no matter how he's blending in with his environment. So what was that?

"So you're the guy that damn bird chose huh?" I blinked to myself at the sudden voice, I'm sure most people would have jumped but I was already so on edge for some reason that I don't think I could have been surprised at this point, so I just leaned my head back to look behind me from my position on the ground as I looked up at what seemed to be a small group of people. Ok what the hell.

My mind absently raced as I sat up and looked forwards for a moment before I noticed something from the corner of my eye. Stealth was bee lining his way towards me. I'm so very confused at the moment, but no reason to make them think that, so with that I got up to my feet before turning around and looked at the group of what looked to be about four people.

"What are you talking about?" I tilted my head to the side to help my look of confusion as the four, two guys and two girls, both looked at me with a mixed sense of sneers. It was an interesting look to see on a group of teens, judging by general appearance I'd say that they're all at least in their third year here at the Academy. Meaning they all are about seventeen.

"Oh don't act coy little man, we know exactly what's been hanging around you" That was the first girl, I just looked over at her as Stealth finally arrived, landing on my shoulder as he made a squawking motion at them all like the sight of them was insulting. I made sure to not acknowledge the spirit, judging by the way all the eyes were focused solely on me, I think it's a fair assumption that they can't see Stealth. Interesting.

"I'm taller than you, seriously is it to much to ask for people to at least insult me with things that actually make sense?" I said it like it was a rhetorical question but it wasn't, people often put down others in any way they can, more often then not siting their own problems so a number of times when a random insult is being thrown out, it usually applies more to the person who's doing the insulting rather than the one it's directed to. Especially when it comes to teens.

"Oi shut it, you're the one messing with powers beyond your control, and I'm going to put a stop to the mess your making" Guy number two is either just very pigheaded or the leader, no one was correcting him so I'm assuming it's the first one, interesting. I moved my eyes to the side to stare at Stealth for a long moment, just giving him a look that he better tell me what the hell was going on here later before moving my eyes back to the guy before saying.

"What exactly do you think I've been doing? And what does it have to do with whatever you were talking about with a bird?" I was very good at looking confused because I was, very. He just glared at me before activating his duel disk, I just rolled my eyes at that.

"You know exactly what we're talking about, now get ready to duel and pay for your crimes!" Crimes? I mean blackmail and extortion aren't the best things out there, but Rose knows not to snitch on me so what is he talking about... Great now I'm curious, one of the worst things about being bored all the times is that when interesting things happen I like to get somewhat involved in it. It seems to be a reoccurring bad habit that I've fallen into.

"I have no idea what your talking about but I guess you can tell me when I beat you into the ground" With that I pulled out my deck and activated my own duel disk, I didn't need to duel, I could get the answers out of Stealth and could have just left, I mean it was late, and I know how to disappear when I want to, it wouldn't be that hard. Though I did note that Stealth was hopping around on my shoulder a bit, I just looked over at him for a moment before noticing he was a bit nervous. Well then, I better not lose.

"Like you'll be that much of a threat, I saw and analyzed your duel with that Slifer, your no threat to me!" God, that duel just keeps getting brought up and it's beginning to annoy me. I get it, I lost a single duel from the frankly put, hundred or so duels I've had, and against a guy in a red jacket which suddenly means I'm weak or something.

"Neat, clearly your more stupid than I thought if you still want to duel me but whatever" He just glared at me but that wasn't really all that worrying so I just gave the guy a bored look as I loaded my deck into my duel disk as I wondered briefly what in the hell I've gotten into.

Very short chapter, at this point it was just a convenient time to cut it off as I really don't feel like writing another duel at the moment nor do I have a deck prepared for one either, which to be fair I think I've made a little less than twenty full decks for this story already and it's only chapter ten and looking to see what all cards would be available in this time period if freaking annoying.
