Chapter 3: The Initiation Test Part 2
"Whoa, that's so cool!" Roseline said as she grabbed another golden pawn. "Yeah! He stabbed that snake in the brain! It was so awesome!" Yolanda said. William chuckled. "It was nothing, you guys. Just doing what we were told to do." "Well, since we finished this part of the test, let's just head back to the cliffs. I wonder where everyone else is?" the others looked around, noticing that no other students were near them. "Huh….where are they?" "I don't know, cuz. Maybe we're just faster?" Roseline said. "No, we would have seen them. We need to go and look for them." Barton said. "But the test!" Yolanda replied. "the test doesn't matter if our friends are hurt, or worse. Let's go." they walked along the edge of the woods, looking around for the other students. "Hello? You guys, where are you?!" Yolanda yelled, while the others cover their ears. "Why are we friends with the human airhorn?" William said. "Cause she's cool, Will. knock it off. We know you like her." Barton said, which made William blush. "S-Shut up." "Guys look!" Yolanda yelled for the group, and they look up, and see some students knocked out, and some students fighting a massive Death Stalker. "Crud….it's a Death Stalker. I hate arachnids." William said, pulling his rapier out with the sheath on it, and transformed it into a greatsword, holding it with both hands. "You and me both, William." said Barton, who bared his claws out on his gauntlets, the barrels popping out of the top of his wrists. "We have to save them." said Roseline, who brought out her sniper and spun it around into her scythe. "Let's do it!" Yolanda yelled excitedly, getting her pistols out. Ruby was watching them on camera and gasped when she saw them. "Oscar...look." she said. Oscar walked over to the scroll, and he smiled at what he saw. He saw his daughter, his nephew, and their friends in the same positions as the old Team RWBY. "Roseline, William, Barton, and Yolanda…...I guess our children will be starting their own legacy." he said, Ruby nodding in agreement. "Come on you guys!" Roseline said. The others nodded, and they ran at the Grimm, going to save their fellow students. "Get back! Get back!" a Faunus student said, before he was tripped up by the Death Stalker's tail. "Ah! No! No no no!" the Death Stalker almost stabbed him with its tail, but William blocked it with his shield. "Come on, get out of here!" the student nodded and he and the other students that were up grabbed the unconscious students and got away, heading to the relics. "This is gonna be hard." William said, still blocking the attacks from the tail. Barton cracked his neck and started concentrating on the power within him. He took his gauntlets off, putting them in his pockets, and he got down on all fours. "Inner Cat…...bring out the power." he said, and his eyes changed. He started growling, standing in front of the Death Stalker. "Alright, cuz! You got this!" Roseline said as she jumped into the trees, shooting at the Death Stalker. Barton stood his ground, growling more, causing the Death Stalker to keep its focus on him. It didn't notice Yolanda sneaking up behind it, and leaped onto its tail, shooting at its tail to get the stinger off. "Come on, you freaking giant golden weapon! Come off!" she continued shooting until it fell off and fell onto its head. "Do it!" William nodded, and used his black glyph to launch Barton high into the air, and then launched him right back down. Barton spun around like a top, aiming his feet down at the stinger. "RWBY combo!" the others yelled, and Barton slammed against the stinger, plunging it deeper into its head, and it turned to ash. Barton turned back to normal, putting his gauntlets back on. "Ha ha! Nice work, you guys." the 4 all high fived and were congratulating each other, and after, they walked back to the others and helped them back to the cliffs. "Well, let's get up there." William said, and using his glyphs, he got everybody up the cliffs, where Oscar and Ruby were still waiting. "Great work, students. But you 4…..you did the best work of all. Protecting your fellow students." Barton and his friends all stood proudly. That evening, all of the teams were given out, all except for two. 4 other students stepped forward and stood in order. "Vinyl Scarlatina, Britain Corscien, Rachael Christainson, and Thomas Downey. You recovered the White Knights. You will be known as….Team VBRT (Vibrate). Lead by Vinyl Scarlatina." the bunny Faunus girl giggled and clapped, as well as everyone else. "Hey don't you know her, B?" Yolanda asked. "Yeah, that's my moms' friends' daughter. Her mom is Velvet. That bunny Faunus girl our parents told us about from Team CFVY. we've hung out a lot." Vinyl and her team walk down the steps. "Good luck, Barton." Vinyl said. "Thanks." he replied, and they walked up in order. Oscar stood there, smiling. "Roseline Pine, William Arc, Barton Belladonna, and Yolanda Ren. you 4 have recovered the Golden Pawns. From this moment on, you will be known as…..heh heh. Team RWBY." the other students clapped for them. "Lead by…...William Arc." William gasped. "Me?" "Congratulations, young man." William was completely shocked. "B-but what about Roseline? She had better choreography out on the field.." he said. "That may be true, but it was because of your leadership skills and determination that you were able to lead your team to save the other students. You should be proud of the position." Oscar said, smiling still. "I…..thank you sir. I won't let you down." William said. "Yeah!" Yolanda yelled. William sighs. "These next 4 years are gonna be….so much fun." he said.
