Chapter 6: Team RWBY's First Impromptu Mission
Team RWBY walked to their sleeping quarters, finished with their classes for the day. "Whew…..what a day." Barton said as he laid on his bed. "Well, it was a lot of fun, right? Now we can go around town and have a little fun." Roseline said. "Get out of these school outfits and go have a fun night on the town." "We need to be studying, you guys." William said. "Ugh, you're just like your mom. Have a little fun, man. Come on, seriously." Yolanda said. "I….I know how to have fun, but i just want to get the studying done before we-" he said, but earned a glare from Yolanda. "You. have. Fun. now." she said. "Alright, alright. I'll go change." William said, walking into the bathroom to change. Barton followed him, taking his clothes with him. "Boys." Roseline said. They all change into their casual clothing and head out to the city of Vale. "So what should we do first, you guys?" Yolanda asked. "Well, how about the Dust shop? I need to pick up some Dust for my Rotating Dust Reloader." Barton said. "Sure thing, cuz. That seems like a good place to start." They walked to the Dust shop, but when they got there, they saw that the place looked like it was wrecked, the police surrounding the place with barricades, looking around the place. "Whoa. what happened here?" William asked. "Well, why don't we find out?" Barton said, walking up to the barricades. He walked up to an officer that was speaking on the radio. "Excuse me, sir? What happened?" the officer looked at him, and said "Well someone hit the Dust shop last night. I can't believe they'd do that. And to think, a nice old man used to run this shop. His grandson was so afraid about them destroying anything. This shop's a nice bit of history." Barton looked past the officer, seeing the grandson of the old shopkeeper crying a little at a broken painting of the old shopkeeper, who died a few years ago. "Wait….this was the shop my aunt Ruby said she stopped. The one that got her to Beacon. She saved that old man countless times…" he said, his cat ears going down sadly. "I know, kid. It's sad. Don't worry, we'll bounce back though." the officer said. "Do you have any idea who did this? I'm a student at Beacon, so I want to help." Barton said. The officer chuckled. "Well, I don't usually do this, but you seem to be pretty worried about it. So I'll show you." The officer pulled out a small video camera and it showed a video that was taken from the security cameras. He saw a video of a cloaked person walking into the store and walked to the counter. "I demand Dust. give me as much Dust as you are allowed to give me." the grandson, who was running the store, nodded, and started filling up loads of large vials of Dust and put them in a case. He handed the cloaked figure the case. "Thank you." the cloaked person paid and was about to walk out when suddenly an explosion went off at the window, glass shattering on the ground. A bunch of people in what looked like black suits, wearing black hats and red glasses and carrying red swords. "Alright, freak. Hand over the Dust, and no one gets hurt." the cloaked person shook his head, sighing. "You really shouldn't attack. And please don't call me a freak." "Yeah, he's not a fre-" the grandson said, before getting interrupted by a gunshot. "Shut up. Give us the Dust." the cloaked person shook his head disappointedly, setting the case down and throwing the cloak off. "You're pushing it, friend." "Oh, I'm pushing it, freak? Now for the last time, give us the du-ack!" was all the guy said before he grabbed his neck and blood came out of it, falling to the ground. The other 2 robbers both gasped and backed up as Peter twiddled a knife in his hand. "Anyone else?" the two ran at Peter, and he stood his ground, then suddenly disappeared when one of them tried to slice him. "Where'd he go?" one of the robbers asked. Suddenly, Peter appeared between them and stabbed his knives through their backs, and they both dropped onto the floor. Peter wiped the blood off his knives and put them away. "You alright?" Peter asked the grandson in the video. The grandson nodded, and Peter left. "Whoa….." Barton said. "Yeah. now run along, kid. You could get me in trouble." Barton nodded and walked back to the others. "Well?" "Well, it looks like we have a lead, guys. This grey skinned and red eyed wolf Faunus named Peter. We gotta find that guy. He could be just what this town needs to help the place out."
Team RWBY was now sneaking their way across the countryside, heading for Argus. "So you're sure this is where that kid is supposed to be, Barton?" asked William. "Well, I looked up some information about him, and apparently, Argus is where he's supposed to be." "I'm so boooooored." Yolanda said. "Well, once we get to Argus and find this kid, our lives are gonna be a lot easier. He seems like a nice guy." Barton said. William was looking through some files. "It also says here that he's killed a lot of government officials, including members of the Atlas corporation." Barton rubbed the back of his head. "Well, maybe he just has some limits to who he trusts. He still seems like a good guy." William rolls his eyes. "Whatever, but if he tries to kill us, we should run away. We wouldn't be able to handle fighting someone like that." William said. "Aww, come on, lazy bones. We could take that guy if he turns out to be a huge jerk. Roseline, back me up here." Yolanda said to Roseline, but she was trailing behind, looking worried. "Roseline?" "Oh..sorry. I'm just worried about what our parents will say if they realize what we're doing." "Hey, they've been saying that the first time most of them went on crazy missions was because it was for the greater good, and because of that Ozpin guy that's in your dad, right? Well, this is what WE'RE doing for the greater good. Either taking out or bringing this Peter guy in the ranks with us." "Most likely taking him out." William said. "Yeah yeah yeah yeah, whatever." they head into the town square of Argus, looking around. "Hey, look." Roseline said, who was pointing at a statue of Pyrrha Nikos. "Oh no…" William said, walking up to the statue. "This is the statue of my dad's…...friend. He was in love with her before….then she got killed by this…..Cinder Fall woman." "Oh yeah. Mom told me she was the Fall Maiden, one of the 4 legendary Maidens." Roseline said. "My Aunt Raven is the Spring Maiden, and your aunt Winter is the Winter Maiden, right William?" "Yeah. and mom told me the Summer and Fall Maiden powers are lost somewhere in the world. But, honestly, the powers of the Maidens wouldn't be known if it weren't for Pyrrha." William looked up at the statue, and saluted. "Well, not to ruin the moment, but I just figured out where this Peter guy is." Yolanda said. "Apparently, there's a mine in the woods. And it turns out Team SSSN never came back." Barton gasped. "That's Uncle Sun's team! We gotta find them!" the others nodded and followed Barton as they ran into the woods. "Barton, slow down man!" William said. "I know you're worried, but we'll find them!" But Barton kept running, soon finding the entrance to the mine. "Here it is. Is it this?" he asked. Yolanda walked up and put her ear to the ground. "Yeah, this is it. I hear something in the mine. A lot of walking around in there." she stood up, and Barton growled. "That stupid little…..if he hurt my Uncle, he's dead." "Sun isn't really your Uncle, is he?" Roseline asked. "Well, he's one of the higher ups of the good branch of the White Fang, plus my grandpa Ghira officially made him a part of the family, so yeah, kinda. But that doesn't matter! I have to stop that guy!" Barton said, running into the mine. "Ugh, that kid is gonna get us all killed." William said, following. The girls ran in too, and they all ran into Peter's laboratory in the mines. "Whoa…..this is one weird lab. Look at this place." They looked around for clues. "Well, where's Peter? And where's Uncle Sun and his team?" "We'll find them, cuz. Just calm down. If i know Sun from all the visits he's done and all the missions my dad sent him on, he and his team are certainly tough enough for anything…...i hope." Roseline said. Barton walked over to a table and saw a lot of black and red blood on it. "Oh, Brothers, what in the world happened here? What's with all this blood? And blackness?" William came up to the table and pinched a little bit of the black ooze in his fingers. "Hmm….it feels like normal blood, yet it looks like it's…...Grimm blood." "How do you know what normal blood feels like?" Barton asked. "Don't ask. But this isn't good. It's human blood mixed with Grimm blood. I don't want to believe what I think this guy is doing is true." they all suddenly heard a scream coming from deeper in the mine. "What the heck is that?!" "That sounded like Uncle Sun! I'm coming, Uncle Sun!" Barton yelled, running deeper into the mine. "Wait! Hold on!" William said, he and the others following. Barton kept running until he made it to a giant lake in the middle of the cave. "Whoa…..a lake in the middle of a mine." Barton looked around until he saw Sun and the rest of his team all on the ground near the water, all knocked out except for Sun. "Uncle Sun!" he ran over to him and helped him up a little. "Hey….l-little dude….you shouldn't be here, man. You have to run away." "I'm not leaving you here to die, Uncle Sun. I'm getting you all out of here." Barton said, and helped Sun to his feet. Sun was hunched over a little, but stood up. "You don't understand. This kid…..he's…..he's making monsters." "Monsters?" Barton asked. "What do you mean, monsters?" Suddenly, a fireball launched at them, and they dodged out of the way. "The heck is that?!" Barton exclaimed, and he looked where it came from, and saw a horrible creature beside Peter, who was smirking evilly. The creature looked like an Apathy Grimm, but it was more humanistic, and had long claws. "Meet my newest combination. Human and Apathy. I also infused it with Dust. what do you think, fools?" Peter said as the creature growled. "Oh Brothers…...what is going on here? What did we walk into?" the others ran in and gasped when they saw the creature. "By the gods, what is that?!" Roseline yelled. "This is one of my many creatures I will use to destroy all who oppose me. Do you oppose me, brother?" Barton looked around, not knowing he was talking to him. "Me?" he asked. "Yes, you, brother. You are a fellow Faunus, like me. We should stick together. Unlike that traitor over there and his group of humans." "That "Traitor" is my Uncle, you jerkface. And if you're the one who hurt him, i'm going to turn you in. just like any Huntsman would do." he said, putting his gauntlets one, the claws coming out of the fingertips. Peter sighed, shaking his head. "They've turned you as well. Oh well. It is what i expected. Now, my creation, destroy the monkey and those human children. I will deal with this cat." the creature growled, and ran at Sun, who backed up and stood with the other members of RWBY, while Barton ran past the creature and ran at Peter.
Peter pulled out his two knives, spinning them in his fingers and the two clashed with knives and claws, sparks going everywhere. "You are experienced for being so young, brother." Peter said. "I'm probably older than you, kid! And thanks. I learned a lot from my mothers. Now give yourself up and i'll see about giving you a shorter sentence!" Barton said, pushed Peter into the water. Peter growled and stood up. "You are a nuisance. You ruined my outfit!" Peter said, growling more. "Give up, Peter Khan! I won't let you hurt anyone else!" Barton said, standing on a rock over Peter. "You have no idea what powers i have, cat. I am an infusion of a Faunus, and a Beowolf….." "W-what?" Barton said. "Yes…..you have no idea what sort of powers i have. Well, let me show you." Peter put his knives in his sheaths, and he started focusing his power. Barton stood on the rock, watching him. "What is he doing? I gotta stop him." he pressed the buttons on his palms, the barrels of his arm pistols rising up, and he aimed at Peter. "Stop it now, Peter Khan, or i'll be forced to fire!" Peter didn't move an inch, his body glowing a blood red. "I warned you!" Barton fired his wrist pistols at him, but they just bounced off of him. "What?!" Barton exclaimed. "How could he have blocked it?" suddenly, Peter's eyes opened, becoming pure red, and he roared loudly like a Beowolf, and he started changing. His body soon changed into an even larger Beowolf, even bigger than normal ones. Barton was now face to face with a giant Beowolf/Peter. Peter looked at him, at least 20 feet tall now, at Barton's height, and Barton heard a slight growl/chuckle coming from Peter. Peter swiped at Barton, and he barely dodged out of the way, and kept firing at Peter, but his skin was too tough now, the bullets bouncing off of him. "You are weak and pathetic. You have no flare in your soul for the right purpose. I could have used you as my second in command…...for the Black Riders." Barton stopped firing. "Black Riders?" "Yes…..i was going to make the White Fang all over again….but after seeing research about what the White Fang has been like for the past 16 years, and seeing that that monkey over there is the second in command at Menagerie, and your mother, Blake Belladonna of the Belladonna family, is now heir to the throne, i see now i must make a new league to rule over the humans." Peter said, cracking his giant neck. "You could have been my brother in arms…..but now i see you are just like the weaklings the White Fangs are. Now I will crush you to pieces and eat your bones!" Barton chuckled when he said that. "You're gonna crush me? Please." he took off his gauntlets and threw them near the unconscious Team SSSN members. Barton cracked his knuckles and his neck, and got down on all fours. "Let's rumble, mutt." Barton smirked, baring his sharp teeth, growing claws, and growled. "What?!" Peter exclaimed in a sort of raspy and kind of unintelligible voice.
