Chapter 13: RWBY V.S. LEAF Interrupted
Team RWBY walked onto the main stage, all stretching as they waited for the other team. Barton cracked his neck. "I wonder what team we'll be fighting." "I hope it's a good team. No offense to any teams, but I want. to fight a strong team. Not some no name team i never heard of before." William said. "Hey cuz!" William looked up. "Oh no….." Adrian and his team walked into the arena, all equally prepared as they were. "Cousin?" Barton said. "That's….my cousin, Adrian….on my dad's side…..he's from Shade Academy." Adrian and his team all huddled. "Alright, Team LEAF, listen up. This team here is led by my cousin, and they're pretty tough. So here's the plan." Adrian whispered the plan to his team, and they all nodded. "Alright, Team LEAF. let's show them that we mean business at Shade Academy!" "Yeah!" they all said, high fiving all at once. "Go, Shade Academy!" they said, and got ready, weapons out. "So, what's the plan, fearless leader?" Barton asked. William brought his sword and shield out. "We fight." the horns went off, signalling the beginning of the match, and the members of each team split off to different parts of the ring to fight. William and Adrian fought in the middle, Barton and Leonidas faced off in the forest area, Roseline and Erin faced off in the lava area, and Yolanda and Forrest fought in the tundra area.
William and Adrian stood across from each other in the middle of the arena. "I honestly didn't expect us to be fighting in the first match, Cousin Will. It's a real surprise." Adrian said. "A big surprise for me too, but honestly….." he put his rapier in his sheathe, and held the sword, sheathe and all, in his hands, forming into a great sword. "I'd prefer a fair first fight than a dirty last one." Adrian changed his flamethrower to double katana mode, spinning it around. "I agree." the two of them rushed at each other, blades clashing against one another. "You're pretty good, Adrian. But can you handle the power of the Schnee family?" William said, using a glyph to push himself away from Adrian, and he started gathering dust energy in his sword. "This isn't going to go well…..for you." William said. He stabbed the sword into the ground, and the ground around him started glowing white. Adrian ran at him, switching his weapon to flamethrower mode and started firing fireballs at William, but William caused an ice wall to rise up in front of him, blocking the fireballs. Then, William caused an ice pillar to lift him above the way, and he used a glyph to speed at Adrian, delivering a flying kick to the chest, sending him flying, and made him hit the ground hard. An alert came on the giant tv screen, showing the aura levels. "Adrian Arc's aura level is reaching low! One more hit like that, and he's out!" Oobleck yelled into the microphone. Adrian stood up, clutching his flamethrower in his hand. "W-Wow…..that was nice…..come on!" Adrien said, rushing at William again.
From the stands, Peter, Neo, and Kristopher were still watching the fight go on, but eventually, Peter was getting very bored. He yawned into his hand, rolling his eyes. "Alright, that's enough. I'm bored. Kristopher, activate the device." Kristopher nods, and pressed a button on the inside of his sleeve, and the lights started going out one by one. People started to stand out, and freak out a bit, until eventually, the arena started changing back to normal, Teams RWBY and LEAF all standing together in the middle, confused and looked around. Peter smirked under his hood. "Neo…..do it." Neo pressed a button on her sleeve, and the small Arachnids started coming out of their cocoons Neo planted, and they spread out, picking a target to bite. Peter smiled as he and his companions stood up, and walked away. "What in the world is going on? What happened to the lights?" Professor Port said over the microphone. "Someone get the lights back on!" Oobleck yelled. William looked around at everyone, who were all still confused as the lights went out. "Man, good thing the sky is sunny today. What is going on?" he said to his team. "I don't know, man…..but this reeks of Black Riders." "Who?" Roseline asked Barton. "The group Peter Khan made up. He's here...i know it." Barton said. Suddenly, they heard loud screams coming from different areas of the Coliseum. They looked around and saw people running out the different entrances. "What're they running from?" Adrian questioned. "Uh….maybe those people." Yolanda said, pointing at a person who was shaking around like he was having a seizure. Some people ran past him, and others stayed near him, asking what's wrong. They suddenly realized he wasn't the only one behaving this way. From around the stands, at least a couple dozen or more people were doing the same thing. "Dude, this is freaking me the hell out!" Leonidas yelled. "Calm down, Leonidas. we'll figure this out." suddenly, the people who were shaking uncontrollably started to spit black gunk out of their mouths, and started growling. The people kept running away as they started to change. Their skin started turning black, their faces started turning skull-like, their canines started growing longer, a green corrosive ooze dripping out of them, their hands becoming longer, with black claws. But what happened next was just as horrifying. 4 long black spider legs sprouted out of the backs of the transforming people, bending and crackling eerily. "Oh….my….gods…." Roseline said. "This…..this isn't happening…...what the hell is happening to them?!" Erin yelled. "They're being transformed into Hybrids…..this IS the work of Peter." the Hybrids were fully transformed into half human/half Arachnids and half Faunus/half Arachnids. They screeched loudly at the same time, the few people that were still in the stands all covering their ears from the high pitched screeching, as well as Team RWBY and Team LEAF in the middle of the arena. The Hybrids then lept around the stands and arena, attacking the civilians who were still around. "Stop them from hurting the spectators!" William yelled. "Right!" said everyone else, as the two teams split up to defend the people. Professors Oobleck and Port came out of the announcers booth, weapons out, and ran to help the students fight the Hybrids. But they didn't notice one of them, which looked a little different from the others, with a more bright white skull face, ran out of the stadium.
Peter, Kristopher, and Neo were standing on the roof of town hall, watching the destruction and fighting coming from the stadium. "This is only step one in my plan….this won't stop the Tournament, but it will set into motion for the greater good of the world….." "I must say, i am exhilarated about this new world…..i think your mother would have been proud." Kristopher said. "No…..she wouldn't…...she would be amazed that I have exceeded her plans for the Faunus to be treated equally. She just had it going the wrong way. Now then, Neo….you made sure the Arachnid Lieutenant would bring me what i asked, yes?" Neo nodded just as the Arachnid Lieutenant crawled up the building, and knelt down in front of Peter. "Do you have it?" the Lieutenant nodded, and held a scroll in his hand. Peter took it, turned it on, and scrolled through some files. "Perfect….the complete plans of the defenses and offenses of Beacon and Vale. very good work. Now then, on to Phase 3 of the plan." he pressed his finger on an earpiece in his ear. "Rydin, Bronson, Maria. Are you all ready?" Maria was in the nearby marketplace of Vale, everyone a little on edge as they saw the attack going on at Amity Coliseum. She was wearing a blue sun hat over her head as she walked up to the From Dust Till Dawn dust shop. "I'm ready, dear." Bronson and Rydin were both near the temporary Atlas outpost that Winter and Penny set up for protection of the Coliseum, the soldiers preparing to head to the Coliseum to help out Teams RWBY and LEAF there. "We are also ready, Master." Rydin said, Bronson's arms silently turning into laser cannons. "Very well. Begin Phase 3 of the plan." Maria smiled innocently, and she walked into the dust shop. The young man behind the counter looked down at her. "Hello, ma'am. I believe the dust that's needed for fireplaces is in the back." Maria chuckled softly. "Young man, i'm not looking for any of that. I'd like...all of the dust in your shop. I promise it's for a special occasion." the young man looked at her, then chuckles. "Alright, lady. Sure you can pay for all this." he said sarcastically. "Well….i never said i would be paying." "what?" Suddenly, Maria raised her left hand up, and suddenly, all of the dust gems started breaking out of the cases and floated in the air. "W-what is this?!" the man said. "My Semblance, my dear. Levitation. It doesn't matter how much, or the weight. But it depends on my Aura….and my Aura is very focused and strong from all the years i've been on this planet." she said. The young man pulled a gun out of his pocket, and aimed at her. "Put them all down, now!" he said. Maria's face went from an innocent smile to a disappointing frown, much like a caring mother would give. "My dear…..do you have no manners?" and with that, she lifted up her other hand, still holding her cane, and the young man was thrown into the glass wall that was filled with powered down dust, the glass breaking and he fell down, the dust falling around him. "Misbehaving children deserve punishment." she said, and with that, she lifted her cane up over his arm, and brought it down on his elbow, a loud snap coming from his arm. "Aaaaah!" he rolled on the ground, holding his arm in pain as Maria used her Semblance to place the Dust crystals inside of a giant tank, some random mercenaries pulling the tank on a cart. "Thank you, boys. Take this back to our little hideaway." the mercs nodded and pulled the cart away, Maria following them. Back at the Atlas checkpoint, Bronson was walking through the checkpoint, corpses of Atlas soldiers behind him, and some in his path. One soldier was trying to crawl away, but Bronson stepped on his back. "N-no….plea-" he gets blasted in the back by Bronson's laser arm. "They are all dead, sir." Broson said. Rydin was near a computer, typing something on the computer, and downloaded some files onto a flash drive. "Ah, finally. Some real Atlas information I can use to make some real weaponry and technology for our cause." he put the flash drive in his pocket "and now to mark fear in our enemies." he took out a piece of paper, folded up, and put it on one of the soldier's bodies. "Let us depart, Bronson." Bronson nodded, his arms turning back to normal, and he grabbed onto Rydin, and flies him off back to their hideout.
Back at the coliseum, Teams LEAF and RWBY were both walking out of the Coliseum with Professor Port and Oobleck, all tired from fighting the Hybrids. "Whew…..man, those things put up a fight…" the humans and Faunus that got infected were both being escorted out to ambulances by some Vale police. "I don't understand how this could have happened. We had some of the best Atlas security here, and they were still able to get past them and nearly kill some of our students and innocent people." Oobleck said. "It's because they slipped past us." Oscar said, walking up to the group with Ruby. "We've just reviewed the footage. It was disoriented. We have no idea who it officially is, but one thing is for sure. It's Peter Khan." "But how? I thought we sent him packing after Grandma took him down." Barton said. "We thought so too, but it was apparently short lived. These new creatures that have been fused with these human and Faunus are new to me. Almost like a new Grimm." Oscar said. Just then, Penny walked over with Winter from one of the Atlas military vehicles. "What's going on, Winter?" Ruby asked. "I just got word that my military checkpoint near the Coliseum were all killed." she looked down, as did Penny, a sad look on her face. "What?! But how?" "We saw security footage that showed a young man with…..my god, laser cannons for arms, killed them all. He…..he was some kind of….he-" Penny cut her off. "He was just like me, a synthetic person with a generating Aura. But I don't understand how this could happen. My father made sure the secrets on how to make synthetic humans would be kept safe in Atlas after his death, gods rest his soul." "Well, We'll figure this out." Winter said. Ozpin came through Oscar, and spoke. "In the meantime, I think it's time we did some investigating on all fronts. Adrian, you take your team back to Argus and keep training. Ruby, you gather your team, as well as Jaune, Ren, and Nora, and I want you all to investigate the city and the surrounding forest to make sure they didn't escape out of the city. I'll join you soon." Ruby nodded and ran off to find the others, Team LEAF heading for the transport ships. "William, I want your team to report to Team SSSN and go with them to investigate the underground city, see if they made a base down there just like the White Fang. and Winter and Penny, investigate if there are any moles or spies in Atlas with Ironwood." they all nodded and rushed off to begin their investigating.
JUST FOR YOU GUYS TO KNOW, THERE ARE 2 MORE CHAPTERS LEFT IN THIS SERIES, AND THEN I AM GOING TO MOVE ON TO BOOK 2. BUT IT WILL TAKE LONGER, SINCE I AM CURRENTLY TRYING TO FIND A JOB. BUT THANK YOU GUYS FOR STICKING WITH MY STORY SO MUCH, AND PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO TELL ME WHAT YOU LIKE ABOUT IT. AND FOR THE REVIEWS, I KNOW THAT THE WAY THE PARAGRAPHS LOOK SUCK.
