LOVE

Chapter 2
'I could never love an ungrateful, hate-filled monster like you.' Matt's voice echoed in Monkia's mind. 'Never love' and 'monster' were the two portions of his curse that she focused on, her mind unable to escape the vile words spewed upon her by her love. Her MC. Her Matt…
'Is that… is that all I truly am?' She silently wondered, unaware of another existence listening in to her thoughts. 'Am I… a monster…?'
As consciousness returned to her, Monika let her senses extend, getting a feel for the time she'd been Loaded into. She had felt her soul being pulled back in time, the familiar sensation of the code pulling her back. She knew Matt had loaded, but she was unsure of when or where she was. The Code practically screamed in her mind that she wasn't anywhere she was familiar with. She felt soft cushions beneath her, and the air around her was cool but not uncomfortably so.
Moments passed by quickly as she refocused on her immediate surroundings, keeping her eyes closed she was able to get a basic readout of the unknown room. She was lying on a couch, which was bright orange. This was some sort living room, with a second-floor hallway and rooms above her. A kitchen was close by, where two unknown people were standing and conversing. For some reason, she was unable to read the words they were saying. It was as if it were magic stopping her, but she knew magic wasn't real. Nothing was… except for Matt…
'How did you do that?' A young, feminine voice asked her, practically whispering in her ear. She didn't sense a third person, especially so close by.
Her eyes jolted open as she sat up, taking in a swift breath as her green eyes darted around the room, searching for the young girl. "Wha-?" She began, before she was swiftly cut off.
Stomping back into the room from the kitchen, a large skeleton made its appearance, wearing bright orange and white armor. "HUMAN! YOU ARE AWAKE!" It said in a loud voice
Monika's eyes darted across the odd creature, scanning its appearance as her mind attempted to comprehend what was happening here. Color began to drain from her face as she realized this wasn't just some prop or costume, but a real skeleton. She let out a shriek of surprise and horror as the skeleton bent down and picked her up, hugging her tightly against himself and keeping her feet off the ground.
"I WAS SO WORRIED ABOUT YOU, HUMAN!" The skeleton yelled, "WE FOUND YOU LYING IN THE SNOW AND I THOUGHT YOU WERE TAKING A NAP, BUT THEN UNDYNE SAID THAT HUMANS ARE LIKE FISH AND DON'T LIKE THE COLD. THEN SANS MADE AN ICE PUN AND YOU BECAME COLDER AND COLDER AND I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING TO GET HURT AND I'M SO GLAD THAT YOU'RE OK!" He rambled on and on as he swung back and forth, hugging the young lady tightly.
"easy bro, the kid just woke up." Another, deeper voice said. Turning her head, Monika saw another skeleton. This one was much shorter than the skeleton currently hugging her, and wore a blue hoodie, basketball shorts, and some pink slippers. He had a large grin on his skull that didn't quite reach his eyes. If anything, the smile seemed strained, but he was hiding this fairly well. She knew enough about faking smiles when Matt kept away from her…
A moment later, she was haphazardly released, making her fall and flop back onto the bright, soft couch. She closed her eyes and took deep breaths to calm herself once she stopped bouncing, trying to understand what's going on. By the time she'd calmed down enough, she opened her eyes to see that the skeleton was inches from her face. The moment she opened her eyes the tall, energetic skeleton gasped dramatically.
"GASP! HUMAN, YOUR EYES ARE GREEN!" He said dramatically, before turning to what must have been his brother, "SANS, DO HUMAN'S EYES NORMALLY CHANGE COLOR?"
She looked at 'Sans' and saw his smile slip for just a moment, before it reformed. The faint light in his eye sockets focused onto Monika's eyes as he seemingly stared deep into her soul. She felt things like shivers run along her spine, like all of her past sins were laid bare for the monster.
After a moment, Sans turned back to his brother, "i dunno, bro. doesn't seem normal."
"HUMAN, ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!"
'Tell him that he's stupid.' Monika heard once again, like a whisper. The skeletons didn't react, so they must not have heard whoever spoke. She decided to ignore it, and simply asked…
"Who are you?" She said finally, after having recovered her courage and bravery. She was captain of the Debate Team, President of the Literature Club, and top of her class. Monika could do anything if she wanted, and she wouldn't shut down and give up now, wherever she was.
"GASP! NOOOOOOOOOO!" The tall skeleton said, reaching down and holding Monika in a tight hug once again, "THE HUMAN DOES NOT REMEMBER ME?! SANS, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE HUMAN?!"
"This human has a name, you know." She said into his chest plate.
Hearing this, the skeleton put her back onto the couch as he gasped again, "I DO NOT KNOW YOU NAME EITHER, HUMAN! I'M SUCH A BAD FRIEND!"
"hey bro, it's alright. you're a good friend." Sans said, patting his shoulder.
"NO I'M NOT! THE HUMAN PROBABLY THINKS I DON'T CARE ABOUT THEM!"
"of course you do, bro. you care a skele-ton." He said, his grin growing a bit larger as he made the pun. Monika couldn't help but giggle at the stupid joke, which made Sans' smile grow a bit wider and the taller one to go rigid.
"SANS!" He shouted at him, before turning to Monika, "AND DON'T ENCOURAGE HIM, HUMAN!" He then took a step back and cleared his non-existent throat, "AHEM… I AM THE GREAT PAPYRUS, YOUNG HUMAN, AND THIS IS MY BROTHER, SANS!" He introduced himself. The room was silent for a moment, "AHEM, INTRODUCE YOURSELF SANS."
Sans waved a hand, "heya. name's sans. sans the skeleton."
Monika managed a small smile, "My name is Monika." She finally said.
'Monika, huh? Interesting…' The invisible voice commented once more.
"WOWIE! MONIKA? WHAT A LOVELY NAME FOR SUCH A LOVELY HUMAN!" Papyrus said, "THERE, NOW WE KNOW EVERYONE'S NAMES. EVERYTHING IS FINE!"
"uh, bro… she said she didn't remember you, remember?"
"GASP! HUMAN, DO YOU NOT REMEMBER US AT ALL?"
"I… No, I don't." She said, feeling like everything around her was wrong.
Papyrus looked sad, "NO! DRAT! THIS IS NOT GOOD! I'LL HAVE TO INTRODUCE YOU TO MY PUZZLES AGAIN! AND TO UNDYNE! WAIT, WHERE'S UNDYNE?"
"didn't she say she had to go yell at her guards?" Sans asked.
"OH YES, THAT'S RIGHT. WELL, NOT TO WORRY HUMAN. UNDYNE, YOUR 'BESTIE' WILL RETURN LATER SO THAT YOU MAY BE REINTRODUCED!"
"oh hey, bro. you know what this all means, don't you?" Sans asked.
"WHAT?"
"the kiddo doesn't remember your famous spaghetti."
"OH NO!" He exclaimed, "NOT TO WORRY HUMAN! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, SHALL COOK YOU UP A NEW BATCH OF FRESH SPAGHETTI FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT." And with that, Papyrus dashed off into the kitchen and left the room. For some reason, dread clung to the back of her mind, her subconscious seemingly warning her about this 'spaghetti'…
As soon as he was gone, Sans walked slowly away into the kitchen too, disappearing from view. Monika silently watched them and breathed out a sigh of relief. "What now?" She whispered to herself.
'now that is a good question.'
She jumped and almost shrieked, turning to her left to find Sans now sitting right beside her on the couch. Her head jumped to the side to look back toward the kitchen where Sans had disappeared to, only to turn back and look at the odd, short skeleton. "Wh-what? How did you…"
Sans shrugged, "shortcut." He replied, before staring at Monika, "so, monika… kid, i've got a bone to pick with ya…" He put a hand on her shoulder and the world around her spun and blurred. A second later, the two of them were now sitting somewhere else, atop of a bed. Her eyes widened in disbelief. They'd just teleported, somehow. "quick shortcut, huh? hehehe…"
Monika jumped off of the bed and turned around to stare at the skeleton, "What's going on? Where am I?!"
Sans watched the young human with now-green eyes, "huh, you seem confused. do you not recognize anything?"
"What? I have no idea what's going on. Now tell me, what are you, where am I, why am I here, and what's going on?"
"hehe, gee kid, i've gotta say, this is the strangest timeline yet."
Monika, no longer playing games, held her hand out as a command console appeared out of thin air, ready to receive commands. With that, the room's temperature fell by a few degrees. Sans' smile almost collapsed and she could feel a foreign feeling of shock in the back of her mind. "I'm not playing games here, monster!" She yelled at him, "I want to kno-!"
She was cut off when she flew back, glowing a faint blue, and slamming hard into a wall, before sliding up with her feet dangling off of the ground. The command console vanished and Sans stepped forward. Blue flames poured out of one of his eyes as he had one hand extended toward her.
"ok. no more mr. nice skeleton." He said in a deadly tone, "who the hell are you, kid. you're the demon, aren't ya?"
"D-Demon?" She asked, stuttering for a moment in fear at the terrifying skeleton before her. She could practically feel his desire to kill her.
"don't play dumb. what changed, what happened to frisk?"
"I don't even know who Frisk is!" She shouted at him, "Put me down!"
"not until i get some answers."
"I told you, my name is Monika. There is no Frisk, and there is no demon!"
Sans reached to the side with a second hand and ripped a mirror off of his wall, making it float and face Monika. What she saw terrified her. Her emerald green eyes stared back at her, but her body was completely different. She was in the body of some small kid with tan skin and short brown hair. Her closes were now blue jean shorts, a blue and purple sweater, and brown boots. This wasn't her body, not by a long shot.
"Wh-what?" She said, stunned. "What happened to me?"
"so, you're neither the demon nor frisk, are ya?" He asked, his eternal smile now strained, "this complicates things."
'Do that thing you just did again. Destroy Sans. Kill him.' The voice in the back of her head told her, making her visibly flinch.
"Shut up!" She shouted at the voice in her head.
'Make me!'
"so, i'm gonna go out on a limb here…" He said waving his arm around, "and guess that that's the demon talkin' to ya."
'I'm not a demon!'
"You know what that voice is?" Monika asked. Sans nodded but didn't reply.
Sans let out a sigh and slowly put Monika back on the ground, before retreated to his bed and sitting down while still maintaining eye contact with her. "now, listen here, kid…" He began, "i'm gonna give you a chance to tell me a story. if i like what you have to say, we'll see where we go from there?"
Monika took a deep breath, calming herself as she stared at Sans, "And if you don't like what I have to say?"
'He'll just kill us, that's all.' The strange voice said, seemingly attempting to calm her. Unfortunately, it seemed to do the opposite.
Sans, instead, just made the light in his eye sockets vanish, making the monster look extra menacing as he replied, "welp, you'll just have to load again, won't you…"
Monika frown, but decided against attacking the skeleton or resummoning her command console, seeing as he reacted violently to it the first time. Rather, she took one more deep breath before beginning her tale.
Frisk's consciousness floated in a sea of black, the young girl questioned what was different about this load. This certainly wasn't a normal load, especially after seeing a quick flash of the 'Void' while loading. Perhaps a timeline shift occurred.
'What do you think, Chara?' She thought aloud within her personal void.
*But no one came.
A shiver echoed in her mind, dread forming quickly at the noticeable void where her beloved partner normally resided. What happened? Where's Chara? Where was she loading into? The last time she'd been without Chara was… it was back before she fell, wasn't it…?
As she came to this realization, her physical senses returned to her, light burning against her closed eyelids. Muttering could be vaguely made out, slowly becoming in tune with her ears as she began to actually understand what she was hearing.
"…think she's waking up." A feminine voice commented, sounding worried.
Groaning against her will, Frisk kept her eyes closed as she forced herself into a sitting position, feeling herself laying on cold tile. Sitting up, she felt a hand on her shoulder, "Easy there, Pres." Another, different female voice said.
Sitting up, Frisk rubbed her eyes and opened them, looking around. She saw a group of four… four… four h-h-h-h-humans! She let out a shriek and scrambled back, scooting across the floor as she tried to separate herself from the unknown teenagers. Her brown eyes scanned the four people quickly.
The one closest to her was a coral pink-haired girl in a school uniform, a red bowtie in her short hair, and her baby-blue eyes were filled with what must have been false concern. Beside her was a taller, larger woman with extra-long purple hair and purple eyes, staring at her curiously. Behind the two girls was another girl with pink hair and pink eyes, staring at her with false concern, too. Different from the three girls, to their right stood a boy with brown hair and brown eyes, staring at her in shock.
"Monika, it's ok. You're okay, aren't you?" The first girl asked, tilting her head lightly to the left. Her blue eyes boring into her brown ones. "Wait… what happened to your eyes, Monika?"
"Wh-what?!" Frisk asked, going further back until hitting a wall. Once she made impact, she stood up, her back to the wall. Looking down, she discovered she was wearing a uniform exactly like the other three girls. "St-stay away!" She shouted in fear and confusion, her eyes darting around the room as she looked for a weapon. Her eyes landed on a purple purse at a desk in this room, which appeared to be a classroom.
*Purse. Contains a knife.
Before anyone could react, she lunged for the purse, reaching in and grabbing said knife in a single movement. A split-second later, she was known holding a sharp knife, the handle a brilliant ruby red. She held it like a professional, both hands on the knife with it pointed at the four of them.
"Wh-what!? H-how?!" The purple-haired girls cried out, her eyes darting between Frisk's and the weapon she held.
"St-stay back!" Frisk yelled, making the four of them freeze in place. "Wh-who the hell are you people?! Where the hell am I?" She demanded. Frisk kept the angry mask on her face, trying to hide how utterly terrified she was. She was wearing a stupid human school uniform on the surface (she could tell thanks to the sun through the windows) and she was surrounded by humans. Out of the corner of her eye, out the window, Frisk could see other parts of a city, with a mountain in the distant background.
"Huh? Monika, talk to us." The blue-eyed girl tried again, "Put the knife down, and we'll-"
"Stop calling me Monika!" She screamed at them, "That's not my name!"
"Y-you dummy, stop it!" The pinkette yelled out, "What's your problem?!"
Frisk gripped the sharp object a bit tighter, her mouth opening to the side to show some teeth, "Back off!" She yelled.
"Monika!" The boy yelled, drawing her attention.
Her eyes darted to his, before she yelled back, "My name is Frisk!"
"Wh-what, but Monika…" The blue-eyed girl said, "Do you, do you maybe not remember us?"
"Hmm, she did take a hard fall." The purple-haired girl said quietly.
"Then why is she so damn aggressive?" The pinkette asked, glaring at her, "And why does she think her name's Frisk?"
"And what's wrong with your eyes?" The first girl asked for a second time.
This time, Frisk understood and listened to her words. Twisting the well-kept knife, she looked at her reflection in the shiny weapon. Her response froze in her throat, looking at her appearance. Her dark brown hair was now much lighter and much longer. Her face was completely wrong, the only thing consistent was her brown eyes, but that was little comfort to her.
Her vision became red.
Literally.
Out of nowhere, a red tint flashed into existence, painting a red hue onto everything in Frisk's vision unexpectedly. It shocked her so much that her grip lessened just enough for the knife to slip from her grasp. The red vanished just as quickly as it appeared and she sprang into action to catch the knife, only for its sharp edge to graze her arm, drawing blood.
The world flipped upside down and inside out, fading to black once more.

Suddenly, Frisk was sitting on the ground once more, sitting against the far wall where she'd been only a minute or two ago. Looking around, her procured knife was missing, likely back in the purple purse she'd seen earlier. She wasn't confused about what just happened, it was fairly obvious… the world had rewound, a previous save was loaded.
What was surprising, however, was that she hadn't done it.
Her thoughts were immediately interrupted, "Wait… what happened to your eyes, Monika?" The blue-eyed girl asked once more.
"Who are you?!" Frisk demanded, her eyes darting to the purse but not making a move. She'd be more comfortable with a weapon, but was comfortable enough for the moment knowing it was close by.
Almost nonchalantly, the boy took a few steps to the side and stood between the purse and her. Her eyes narrowed at the boy. 'So you're the one who loaded, huh?' she reasoned quietly. He hadn't done that last time, and he seemed to not want her to get the knife.
"Wh-what, but Monika…" The blue-eyed girl said, "Do you, do you maybe not remember us?" She said again, as if bound to the same damned script she was familiar with in the Underground. Perhaps they were bound to it as well, but what about the boy.
"Who are you?" The boy asked, narrowing his brown eyes at her own brown ones.
"My name is Frisk, and you are?"
"Matt." He replied evenly, "Here's what's going to happen, we're going to rewind back to when you woke up, and you're going to remain calm and speak to us. Say you lost your memory. Don't make a move for Yuri's knife, or else…" he threatened.
"M-Matt?! What on Earth are you talking about?" The purple-haired girl, now identified as Yuri, stammered out, shocked that someone knew about her knife.
"Matt?" The first girl asked.
"Sorry, Sayori…" Matt said with remorse, before willing another Load to occur.
The world shifted and darkened around them as reality tore itself apart and prepared to mend itself back into a different shape.

The world ignited with color, with Frisk once again against the wall, and Matt standing between her and the desk with Yuri's knife. It was fine, though. In a pinch, she could overpower him. Plus, she could always force a load against him. See how he liked it.
"Do you, do you maybe not remember us?" The pink-haired, blue-eyed girl named Sayori asked for the third time, not that she knew that of course.
Frisk's eyes darted to Matt's, who seemed shocked and confused. Hadn't he meant to roll things back by a few minutes? They'd only gone back by a fraction of that. "Sayori?" Frisk asked, changing her question directed at the girl.
Sayori seemed relieved, "Yay~!" She said with a smile, "You remember!" She pointed to Matt, then to Yuri, then to the other pink-haired girl. "You remember them too, right?"
Frisk decided to shake her head, playing along with the script and these weird humans. If they were bound to a script, then she wasn't in any real danger, right? Yeah, she could always load and adapt. The only one to truly look after was Matt, since he actually remembered these things… just like Sans…
"I… I don't remember much. I know Matt and Sayori…"
The pink girl seemed offended, "Really?" She asked in disbelief, "It's Natsuki, dummy, and don't you forget it."
"Wait, so you don't remember?" Sayori asked, her smile faltering. "And your eyes, Monika… why are they brown?"
"Huh?" She played dumb, "What color should they be?"
"Green." The purple-haired girl said, "And I'm Yuri." She added quietly, holding some sort of hardback book in her hand. This quiet, larger girl was the one who owned that knife, right? Frisk idly wondered why such a timid-sounding girl would hold onto such a deadly weapon.
"Are you really ok, Monika?" Sayori asked, taking a step forward toward her. Against her will, Frisk flinched and took half a step back. She was REALLY not comfortable with these strange, unknown humans. Seeing this, Sayori stopped in her tracks.
"You hit your head hard, do you need to go to the hospital?" Yuri asked.
To that, Frisk wildly shook her head, refusing to go see more humans right now. "No."
With that, Matt took a step forward, "I had her in class last year." He began, "Let me talk to her, and see what's going on with her. After that, I can decide if she should see a doctor." The three other girls looked at him curiously, unsure about what he said. Seeing their apprehension, he added, "I think she'd be most comfortable talking to me one-on-one, wouldn't you Monika?" He asked carefully and neutrally.
Frisk, seeing as this may be her chance to talk with the one who had loaded twice, she nodded, "I think so." She answered.
Natsuki huffed, "Whatever, I'll be in the closet." She said with a light glare and crossed arms, before motioning to the closet door on the other side of the room. "If he does anything creepy, just yell, Monika, and I'll beat some sense into him." She said with a slightly warmer glare, before turning and leaving.
Yuri hesitantly nodded, "I-I guess that would be fine. I hope you remember everything, Monika." She said while playing with her long purple hair, before turning to the side and sitting in a faraway desk, reopening her book and reading it.
With the first two gone, Sayori looked between the two of them, hurt flashing within her deep blue eyes for a moment, before it was covered up with concern, "Are you sure, Matt?" She asked hesitantly, "I can help-."
Matt cut her off with a smile, putting a hand on her shoulder, "It's fine Sayori, I just want to talk with her and see how much she remembers. Remember how she knew both of our names?" She nodded, so he continued, "Maybe she only forgot recent events, or maybe her memory's returning. No need to make a big deal about it if it'll all be fixed soon enough, right?"
Sayori shrugged, "I… I understand, but…" Her blue eyes showed deep sadness, despite her best attempts to hide her inner rainclouds. Frisk noticed it, as did Matt.
"Don't worry, it'll only take a moment, then we can finish up the meeting and decide what to do for the festival." He said, before shaking her shoulder lightly with a smile, "I'll buy you a snack on the way home…" He added with a warm smile, adding the incentive.
Her eyes lit up and her mouth watered, joy returning to the young student's eyes. "Deal!" She said with a grin, "But remember, you promised."
He nodded as she turned and skipped away, probably going to bother Natsuki. As soon as she left, Matt turned back to Frisk and nodded toward the teacher's desk in the far corner, away from everyone else. Deciding to humor the human, Frisk nodded back and followed him to the corner.
There, she sat in the teacher's chair, as he pulled a chair up and sat in front of her, his brown eyes boring into her own as his smile fell. She tightened her hands into fists as her eyes darted to her side. As she willed it, her inventory began to flicker into existence, before shattering silently and dispersing, making her internally flinch.
That wasn't good.
Matt cleared his throat, grabbing Frisk's attention, "So, your name is Frisk, huh?" He asked, doubt leaking into his tone.
Frisk narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms, "That's my name." She said simply.
"You're lucky my Loads aren't working right." He muttered quietly, but she'd heard him clear as day.
"So it was you who loaded, wasn't it?" She said, "Of course an idiot like you wouldn't know how to use it right. It's my power." She said, internally flinching at her use of 'idiot'. It was one of Chara's most used words, making her absence that much more noticeable for her.
Matt's gaze hardened at what she said, "What the hell is your problem, Monika?" He said quietly, "What kind of game are you playing, here? Why are you breaking script now, of all times?"
"How much do you know?" She replied, focusing on his use of the word 'script'. He wasn't as stupid as he looked… for a human, that is…
"Enough games!" He cut in with a harsh whisper, "Is this about what I said? Is that why you're being so difficult?"
Frisk's eyes darted back toward Yuri's purse, sitting beside the purple-haired girl. Matt noticed the movement and frowned even harder. "Don't even think about going for Yuri's knife again." He threatened. Her own eyes hardened at the stupid human; she almost wished she could force a fight and lock them into combat. No doubt that she'd be the victor here…
As if to her command, the world around her flashed black and white for a split second three times, clicks and sounds heard with each flash, before the world shifted. Around both Matt and Frisk, the world back black and white, with none of the other girls seemingly noticing. Matt fell back in his chair and jumped to his feet as if he'd noticed the 'Battle' start.
Frisk smiled triumphantly, her form shrunk back to normal as a plastic knife winked into existence in her hand. At least some things were working and right again…
Matt, rather, stared at the now shrunken Monika is shock, awe, and fear. She now appeared to have regressed in age by a few years, her hair darkening and shrinking to chin-length, and her clothes changing into jeans and a striped sweater. She now appeared to be holding a knife once again, and her brown eyes were locked onto him with a small smile on her face. 'What happened to her?' he asked himself silently. He watched in awe as a floating, red, and pixelated heart appeared in front of her chest, as a similar heart appeared before his own chest.
Frisk smiled, "Not so brave now, are you, human?" She asked.
"Who… what?" He asked, stunned.
"I told you, my name is Frisk." She pointed her knife at him, ready to begin a fight, "Now, tell me what's going on and where I am, or I'll add you to my EXP." She threatened.
A single second passed by, before the world shattered, light and color returning to their surroundings.
Frisk, now back in the old, larger body with her weapon, fell back into the chair behind her as a sharp pain pierced her mind and soul. She could feel a single HP chip off of her soul, silently warning her against starting an official, magical conflict again. Matt, however, was still standing, looking around himself at the normal classroom, bewildered at what just occurred.
As the young human girl caught her breath and recovered, Matt's glare returned and caught her attention. The two made eye-contact, and for the first time since she's awoken, his gaze seemed to warm up slightly toward her. He sat back down, holding the stare-off, before asking his first real question to their imminent conversation.
"Who are you?"
Frisk took a deep breath, silently pondering the option of ignoring this stupid human, but thought better of it. He could load, he had a red soul… he had Determination. Perhaps he knew what was going on? Perhaps he could help her figure out what was going on and how to go back to where she was? Perhaps he knew how to get Chara back?
Deciding on what to do, she nodded resolutely, "My name is Frisk." She began, "Sometimes I'm the savior of Monsters, sometimes I'm an angel of death…" She said, "But most importantly, I am Determined…"
And with that, she began to tell her tale.
Static crackled in the distance, the void between worlds. Echoes of worlds spun around, thin threads connecting some while steering clear of others. A single thread connected two of these normally distant worlds, drawing the two ever closer to one another. At their current rate, soon enough two worlds will become one.
Standing between the two was a creature with a cracked smile on his face, waiting for the lines and boundaries to blur and bend. His sunken sockets stretched with the cracks on his deteriorated skull.
Soon.
