Fishlegs watched in pride as the young heirs of Berk played their new favorite game Friends With Dragons. The elder daughter Zephry taking on the roll of Stoick the Vast as young Nuffink roared acting as Toothless the dragon.

Seeing these kids embracing their beloved dragons brought tears of joy to the Vikings blue eyes.

But the moment the roles were reversed and Nuffink splayed out his hand, head turned away awaiting his sister to move her forehead into his palm he was bombarded with images and memories of Hiccup.

And he squealed out the words that would change everything.

"Ooohhh! Nuffink you look just like your father when he discovered how to train dragons!"

The children both seemed to freeze in place, minds processing what they had just heard. Fishlegs hands immediately clapped over his mouth as the pairs eyes widened.

"What are you talking about?" Questions Zephyr, brunette staring down the older blonde much like her mother, right hand on her hip "Stoick found and trained the dragons."

Fishlegs shakes his head drastically back and fourth "No, no you must have misheard me ... I said Stoick-"

Nuffink lifts his head, green eyes clenching "Mmm me thinks not, you said dads name."

"Stoick did discover dragons were good, didn't he?" Zephyr demands, eyes narrowed and Fishlegs suddenly feared the child would pull a battle axe from her belt "did mom and dad lie to us?"

Blue eyes glance away as Fishlegs scrambled to come up with a plausible lie, but comes up short.

"Just tell us the truth, did Stoick discover the dragons or not?" Orders the young girl in exasperation.

"He-Uh," Fishlegs gulps as the child's gaze hardened, now emerald joined in the fray and whatever composure the blonde had left snapped. Fishlegs looks up to the sky as if saying sorry to the late Chief. All the while internally begging the current Chief and Chieftess didn't kill him.

"It-the play was supposed to be Hiccup's way of helping you all see the truth about dragons. But, as for the story ... It wasn't entirely accurate."

Both brother and sister glare, arms folded across their small chests as they waited for the adult to continue.

Fishlegs sighs "It all started with a dragon raid on the village-"

And so, Fishlegs began telling all that he knew of the past events. The children now sitting, laughing, smiling, sniffling, gasping in awe as he recounts the harrowing tale. The blonde not stopping after the dragon queens defeat, instead he continues on.

Reveling to the young ones of their brave adventures against Alvin the Treacherous and Dagur, creating dragons edge, defeating Viggo and Riker Grimborn. Finding their Grandma Valka, losing Stoick, fighting Drago and the Alpha, leaving Berk in search of a new island, meeting the Lightfury, defeating Grimmel, and finally ... Having to say goodbye to their dragons.

His Meatlug and her baby, Ruff and Tuff's Barf and Belch, Snotlout's Hookfang, Astrid and Hiccup's Stormyfly and Toothless.

Zephyr held her shaking brother as the braided blonde weeped, head nestled in his sisters chest as her fingers combed through his unruly locks "Why didn't they tell us the truth?"

Fishlegs smiles sadly "Gobber missed his best friend and wanted to honor him ... And Hiccup? He doesn't care about the glory, he just wanted you two to not be scared of Dragons."

Zephyr relaxes as the girl smiles "Dad's really amazing, I don't think I'd ever be able to do any of that."

Nuffink wipes away his tears, boy standing proudly, left leg held off the ground as he balances on one leg "I want to be brave just like dad!"

Zephyr nods "Me too, let's go see what great adventure dad's up to right now! What do you say, Nuffink?"

The blonde loses his footing as he cheers, arms fisted and high in the air "Let's go, let's go!"

The pair sauntered off towards the Haddock's hut in search of said bearded Viking. The children couldn't wait to hear more untold tales from their father's lips!

Leaving Fishlegs little time to find a good hiding place before Astrid and Hiccup were on the hunt.
