"Let's just sleep in, Perce."
"On Christmas?!"
It was the day when Santa had left all his gifts, when people came around to other people's houses caroling, when families embraced together, and Annabeth decided to sleep in. On Christmas.
"Let's take advantage of the day, and relax."
He turned over on their bed. Annabeth was snuggled under blankets, golden hair with light spraying across it on her pillow, and her eyelashes fluttered while she yawned.
She's so beautiful.
"Yeah, let's sleep in."
"Ok?"
"Ok."
And they left their presents, all alone underneath the tree, while the snuggled underneath the covers.
Just a normal Christmas.
