(Remember, this is a polyamorous story)
I led the way down the darkened corridor with Jane, Alec, Chelsea, and Afton close behind. Our hands were full as we carried all of the supplies Jane insisted on into the throne room. From what Corin had already told us, the kings were deliberating in Aro's office after successfully giving a verdict on the Braunschweig coven, so we had plenty of time to set up before they came back in.
"Remind me why we need all of this," I questioned as I continued to balance a stack of buckets and bags of flour on top of each other.
"I'll explain once we get there," Jane moved to walk alongside me, carrying several long ropes as well as a few planks of wood which confused me just a little.
"Are you sure this isn't a little…much?" I asked.
"Trust me, this will be great. Sure, this will be slightly messy considering we're using flour but, from experience, I am aware that flour annoys people much more than anything else," she explained, "hair dye would've been pretty cool though."
"Oh, now that is something I would never be forgiven for," I laughed.
Chelsea swerved around Alec to join us. "I'm thinking pink for Caius, orange for Aro, and blue for Marcus."
"I don't even want to begin to think about the kind of hissy fit blondie would have if he was no longer blondie."
"No, you'd have to call him 'pinky'," Chelsea giggled.
We had been walking at a comfortable human pace when we heard footsteps coming from the other end of the corridor. Oh, and that wasn't the worst part; there were three sets of footsteps, three sets of familiar, heavy footsteps.
Aro instantly appeared in front of us and glanced among us confusedly. "Eliana, bellissima, what is the meaning of all this?"
Shit.
"We were just…um…"
I gave Jane a look that said 'help me bitch' and she continued. "Yes, we were just…sent to take these-these items…er…"
We stood there in silence for a few moments before we gave up and just legged it. Maybe it was the sheer panic from the group of us, but somehow the other four all managed to keep up with my newborn speed, leaving the kings far behind.
As soon as we made it in to the throne room, Alec pushed the lock over the mahogany doors to stop anyone from coming in to ruin our plans. Fortunately, it didn't seem that they were actually following us, so it seemed we were in the clear.
"What the hell was that?" Afton snapped at me, unceremoniously dropping down the pile of balloons he'd been carrying.
"I panicked!"
"Clearly, with your ridiculous 'um'!" he mimicked my voice.
"You weren't much help either, you just stood there like a lemon!"
"Aro didn't ask me, he asked you!"
"Yet Jane was still able to respond," I flung my arm in her direction, "why couldn't you?!"
"Jane has higher authority than me!"
"You're really using that as an excuse for uselessly standing beside me and not saying a word?!"
"Did you want this prank or not?" Jane asked calmly from where she was knelt in front of Caius' throne, the cushion placed on the floor beside her.
I quickly came to join her. "What are you doing?"
To demonstrate, she took one of the balloons out of the packet and inflated it slightly before attaching it to some kind of tube system thing she'd managed to engineer. Honestly, that child was a genius. The balloon was then placed under the cushion so that the whole system would be activated as soon as they sat down, which I knew from experience that they had a habit of doing simultaneously.
Maybe fifteen minutes later, the entire setup was complete. The way Jane had designed it was a little confusing but to sum it up, the moment the kings sat on their thrones, a bucket full of flour would tip onto each of their heads. It was pretty discreet as well, as I probably wouldn't have noticed it unless it was pointed out.
"So, what do we do now?" I asked, dusting the remaining flour off my hands.
"Now we wait," Alec grinned and followed Afton into the corner of the room beside one of the marble pillars.
"But, aren't they going to see us here?"
"Not with my ability," Afton responded proudly, "After training for a few years, I can now hide multiple people at once, so they won't suspect a thing as long as we're quiet."
"Damn it, now I'm nervous," I couldn't help the wide grin spread across my face while I leant against the wall beside Chelsea and Jane.
"Don't you dare chicken out of this now," Afton hissed.
"Oh no, I won't, I'm just not exactly sure what they'll do to me when they find out I was responsible."
"Well, they'll either punish you similarly to how they did a month or two ago, or they'll 'punish you'," he drew quote marks in the air and wigged his eyebrows, "if you know what I mean."
Jane raised an eyebrow. "Afton, why are you getting involved in Eli's sex life?"
"She asked, I answered," he defended simply.
Chelsea seemed completely in the zone, concentrating on something. It was only once we all went quiet that we heard the familiar three sets of footsteps fast approaching.
"They're coming!" she whispered harshly.
"No shit Chelsea," Alec sneered.
"Ssh!" Afton hissed and rolled up his shirt sleeves to his elbow.
Everyone seemed to know what was happening and placed a hand on his exposed skin, and I hesitantly followed suit and placed the back of my hand on his wrist. At first, I didn't feel any different, and I was about to open my mouth to say something, but it was once I turned around to the others that I realised they were no longer visible. Lifting up the arm that wasn't touching Afton's, it was as if I simply wasn't there, and I had to fight with myself to hold in a startled yelp in surprise.
"It is not in our place to say, but Alphonso should not be the coven's leader," Aro mused as he strolled in to the seemingly empty throne room.
"His inexperience and recklessness will only pose as a weakness in the future," Caius spat.
I half expected Marcus to join in the conversation, but he strolled in on Aro's left seemingly in his own little world, far away from the matter at hand. Classic Marcus.
If I was still human, my heart would've been beating frantically out of my chest by now. I held my breath to avoid giving myself away and anxiously watched as they approached the dais.
Aro adjusted the fit of his black cloak slightly and the speed at which the three of them sat down in their thrones felt like it was in slow motion. Then came the moment we'd been waiting for.
As soon as their weights pushed down against the cushions of the thrones, a muffled thud sound ringed from above our heads and a curtain of white powder pounded down directly on top of them. The three of them simply stood there covered in flour, completely frozen in shock. My jaw dropped in shock so that I resembled a fish and I could feel Afton tense up beside me.
Once the initial shock passed, I couldn't help myself; I burst out laughing, probably the hardest I'd ever laughed. It was to the point where I could barely stand on my own two feet, so all it took was a light shove from Afton to send me flying to the ground in laughter. Although, for some reason, my dumb brain hadn't clocked in that now I was no longer invisible, so I'd basically just instantly given myself away.
Marcus flitted beside me, his hair and clothes covered in flour, and lifted me up horizontally, quickly placing me down on my feet beside my tense, flour-coated mates.
"So this is your doing?" Aro sounded far from impressed as he paced towards me uncomfortably slowly.
I blushed embarrassedly. "They helped," I gestured to the corner where the five of us had been standing but Afton, Chelsea, Alec, and Jane had all already left, which I could tell from their scents, "TRAITORS!" I yelled at the door.
Aro quickly wrapped an arm around my waist to hold me flush against him and took the opportunity to read my thoughts. "But regardless, you promised to accept all responsibility on their behalf, did you not?"
I ducked my head down. "Maybe," I muttered at his chest.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Caius bending over to shake some of the flour out of his hair and he growled angrily while doing so. "Eliana, this behaviour is in no way tolerable!"
Marcus simply chuckled behind me and shook some of the immediate flour off him before pressing soft kisses to my shoulder. Aro placed two fingers under my chin and lifted my head up to face his while I shook some of the flour out of his raven black hair. Despite this, his gaze was still icy cold as he brought his lips to mine roughly.
Caius appeared beside me with a mischievous smirk. "Oh, you will pay for this."
Aro abruptly pulled away and I found myself mourning the loss of his touch. "Quite right, actions deserve consequences," he murmured huskily.
Maybe Afton was right about their reaction after all.
Before I had the chance to say a word, Aro swept me off my feet while he ignored my screaming laughter. In the space of less than a second, my back was pressed up against Aro's mattress and I giggled as Caius' lips crashed against mine, his tongue tracing my lips.
I couldn't see who it was due to Caius blocking my way, but I felt a pair of hands on my breasts and another hand slide down under the waistband of my sweatpants and past my underwear. My hips bucked in anticipation as the hand under my sweatpants carefully rubbed at my bundle of nerves, which caused me to let out an embarrassingly loud moan.
"That's it, bellissima," Aro whispered as he began to roll my nipples between his thumb and forefinger through the thin fabric of my top more insistently.
Caius' tongue battled for dominance against mine but after a few seconds, he diverted his attention to that tender spot on my neck. He lightly sucked on the skin there and I gasped at the sudden feeling.
The overload of stimulation at once made everything in my brain go fuzzy, but I somehow still wanted more, I wanted to feel more of them. As Marcus increased the speed at which he rubbed my clitoris, I attempted to arch my back off the bed, only to be restrained by Aro.
I tried so hard to move and I felt myself writhing under him but he managed to keep me completely pinned down, which wasn't helped by Caius nibbling at the skin of my neck. "P-p-please…I—ngh."
"Aren't you going to apologise, carissima?" Caius murmured huskily into my ear.
Not only was I unable to form any coherent words while I felt my release coming close, but my mind was too occupied to come up with any actual response, which left me answering his question through a few unintelligibly mumbled syllables.
As if that wasn't enough, Aro lifted my top up to my neck and unclasped my bra in one swift move. His mouth was instantly on one of my nipples and I grabbed the bed sheets in tight fists.
Just as was coming close and I mumbled something incoherent, Marcus removed his hand from under my sweatpants while Aro and Caius both also backed away.
"W-w-wha-but why?" I stuttered with a frown.
"I do not recall hearing an apology, tesoro," Marcus grinned and placed a teasingly gentle kiss just below my navel.
I drew my eyebrows together. "I'm…sorry?"
"That will have to do," Aro sighed as he brought his mouth back to my breasts without warning.
I gasped and moaned loudly as Caius continued sucking on a soft spot on my neck. Unsure of whose name to call out when my climax finally hit, the next sentence to leave my mouth was a string of mumbled words which vaguely sounded like a combination of "Jesus", "fuck", and "please".
"You are so perfect," Caius growled, settling down beside me but not before nibbling hard on the skin of my neck.
Just before Aro laid down on my other side, I felt him lightly sweeping something away from my stomach. Glancing down, I noticed that some of the flour left on them had gathered all over me as well, leaving flour-y residue across my skin which he'd swept off for me.
Marcus shook more of the fine dust out of his hair. "Flour," he repeated to himself with a chuckle as he rested his head on my torso and purred lightly when I ran my hand through his hair, my fingers scraping along his scalp.
"Just be glad I didn't use hair dye," I laughed.
"I get the feeling this flour will never come out of my hair," Aro muttered disappointedly.
I ruffled his raven black hair. "Don't be like that, it suits you."
