Chapter 1 Pilot
It's been a few years, and the family lives now in New York. Carlisle and Esme lives with their adopted children in their new house, except for Bella, Edward and Renesmee.
They live in their own house a few kilometers away from their house but they greet each other every day and go to school as usual.
Two years later after moving the family adopted a child. A little girl named Veronica. Her parents died in a car accident and Veronica was only three years old when it happened.
She had no other relatives or acquaintances to go to. Carlisle was her doctor and became very attached to the little girl and decided to take care of Veronica.
Everyone was very excited at the prospect of getting a new sister, but Jasper was a little worried afraid he would hurt her. But he promised himself to never hurt her.
Esme who was once a parent tragically lost her son in childbirth and have always wanted to give Carlisle a child but vampires could not produce children. But now she finally got a chance to have her wish fulfilled.
Veronica found out that her family was vampires when she was 10 years old and took it very well. She felt that there was something different about her family, but she loved them as they were and will always do.
16 years later
Veronica sat in her room and talked on the phone with her friend from school, Grace. Grace was an insecure person, but she is a very good friend to hang out with.
"So how is he this Ian? When can I meet your Prince Charming?" Veronica asked Grace about her new boyfriend.
"There's not much to say, he's just a guy from school."
"Come on. You go out with the guy there must be something wrong with him. Does he have a hairy back or does he have six toes on his left feet?" Veronica asked sarcastic and Grace just laughed.
"Or is he stupid?" she asked suddenly.
"What?"
"I just do not want you to go through the danger you had with Andrew. You know chemistry lesson and he got the volcano explode and you burned half the hair." Veronica told her and lean against the balcony railing.
"You need not to worry. It's not even a date but just goes and eats together."
"Where?" Veronica asked.
"At the Billie's" Grace answered uncertain.
"Going out together and eating at a teenage place. Sounds like a date to me. And if he holds your hand, it's a sign that you're engaged." Grace laughed at her joke.
"Veronica dear you have a visitor." Her mother went out on the terrace "Coming." She whispered and Esme smiled and went back inside.
"Grace, have you come to my house?" Veronica frowned.
"No, I'm home." It has happened before that when Grace gets nervous, she comes over to Veronica for support.
"Okay, I apparently have a visitor and I cannot think of one another comes over to me. Not even Andy and Liam will never come."
"Why do they never do that? Grace question.
"Probably still afraid of cooties, I gotta go so I see you later."
"Wait. You want to hear about my date tomorrow?"
"Of course, we go to Billie's after school and you get to tell every detail. Okay bye." Veronica throws the phone in bed and ran downstairs. She would not let the others wait. She came into the living room where all her siblings sat and socialize.
"Kelly?" She came into the living room and saw her friend Kelly from the 8th grade "Oh Veronica, it's been so long ago." She walked over and hugged her hard.
Kelly was one of Veronica's friends from the 8th grade. Kelly and her family move out of town for two years ago. Kelly came from a rich family and her father was a doctor and worked at the same hospital as Carlisle.
"I was hoping that you still lived here and so you do. Thank God." Kelly puffed out.
"You got lost in the woods again right?" Veronica said and she nodding. Kelly has never been good at reading maps or directions.
"Can I get you something?" Esme ask.
"Coffee, thanks." Kelly said.
"Everybody, you remember Kelly?" Everyone greeted.
"You remember the rest of my family?" Veronica ask Kelly and did not remember anyone.
"No, unfortunately." Veronica looked down and sighed quietly "Of course."
"This is Jasper, Alice, Rosalie and Emmett. Shall we go to the kitchen?"
Veronica and Kelly went to the kitchen and sit down and talk. "So are you here on journey through?
"No, we have moved back and to the same house, too. Everything started when we arrived at our new house and my mom and my sisters immediately began decorating the house." Veronica felt that she was about to hear an insane story about the family Wood... again.
"But all of a sudden after when we finished, my dad come home and he told me that no one at work wanted to live up to his requirements. He worked there for a few months but then got fired. Now we are here again." End of story and Veronica just sat quietly and did not know what to say.
Even Esme heard everything and was equally surprised. Carlisle knew Mr. Wood well but did not always get along well with him.
"Well now I'm back, I'm glad I still have my best friend." Kelly smiled warmly at her.
"And Grace?" Veronica raised her eyebrows, "Oh, I knew they were someone I forgot, sorry."
They talked a long time and then it was time to go home. Veronica followed her friend to the door and said goodbye.
"Kelly is back how great it's that." Veronica said ironic and looked at her mother and gave her freaking out look.
"Are you not glad she's back?" Esme asked. "I am but she's much worse since last time we saw each other."
"I wonder how it will feel for Dad when he learns that Mr. Grinch has come back." Veronica said.
"It will be all right. He survived him before and I'm sure that he will survive again." Esme told her daughter.
"Veronica, your friend is still out there." Rosalie shouted and Veronica went to the window and looked.
"I drive her home." Veronica said and she went to retrieve her motorcycle.
Veronica sat with Esme and Rosalie in the living room and socializes. Until that others heard a car drive up house.
"When you raise your eyes or if the mother turns her head towards the window, I know that father has come home." Veronica smiled.
"Sounds like you have a list of all the reactions we do." Esme said.
"Yes, I have the list upstairs." Veronica said with a grin. "Do tell please?" Rosalie said curiously.
"Okay. When Jasper frowning eyebrows, it means he's hungry. When Bella comes over Alice grins and gets ready to meet her." Esme and Rosalie continued to listen.
"When Emmett is restless, he hits with his fist and shakes his head and runs out of the woods and it takes about 15 minutes until he is done." Rosalie smiled at that.
"When we get really horrible visitors Mom goes out to the kitchen dad comes after about 10 minutes later. You Rose show your bitter face and pretend like you neither see nor hear, and ... now wish I was dead." Veronica saw her sister gaze and looked down into the paper instead and Rosalie rolled her eyes.
Then came Carlisle entered the room and he did not look so merrily out.
"How did it feel to meet the Hulk again? Veronica asked
"You knew that they had come back?" Carlisle asked.
"Yes Kelly came by a little while ago. You do not want to hear how they managed to come back in our days of our lives ... again." Veronica said and Carlisle went to his private office.
Next morning at Billie's
After school went Veronica and Grace to teenage place the Billie's. It was like a mixture of a cafe and pizzeria. Where teenagers go and hang out.
The girls took their favorite corner and started talk "So tell me about your date?"
"It went pretty good ... I will tell it was like, it was absolutely wonderful." Grace said straight out with a big smile.
"Yes, I can see that. With that smile, it looks like you've slept with a banana in your mouth." Veronica said, and Grace looked down shyly.
"But he's so ... do you remember when I was in love with Rick?" Veronica nod "It was like that, but with real feelings."
"Oh wow, I'm glad you've found someone and wanting to go out with you."
Then came Kelly stormed out with two shopping bags.
"Hey, hey, guess what. I have a date tonight and I bought the new clothes you just have to see." Kelly rooted in her bags and Grace and Veronica rolled their eyes.
Kelly showed off a blue shirt with a black leather jacket and leather boots.
"Have I dreamed this or do not you have many more leather jackets?" Grace asked. "No, I have cleared my wardrobe."
"All eighty-seven jackets? Veronica asked "No, before the move, I had 104 and now I have 90 left, plus this." Kelly said and Grace went and ordered pizza.
"Kelly, who is paying for this?" Veronica pointing at everything Kelly had bought clothes, shoes and jewelry.
"My dad" Kelly said and Veronica shook her head.
"So who is it you go out with?"
"His name is Ian, oh, he's so handsome, nice, and good-looking, and he is popular and is so good looking." Kelly tells with an enormous joy but Veronica's face sank when she heard the name.
"Ian? Do you mean Ian from school?"
"Yes, exactly do you know him? Oh no, do not say he has a girlfriend? Is it Mathilda?"
"No, but ... he goes out with Grace." Veronica said sadly and Kelly could not believe it either.
"You mean our Grace or do you mean our English teacher Grace?" Kelly asked.
"Her name is Vera and yes I mean our friend Grace. They went out yesterday evening." Both sighed.
"Oh no, what should we do?" Kelly looked puzzled
"You must tell her." Veronica replied.
"I?" Kelly frowned. "Yes, you get to do it is you who's going go out with her boyfriend. As her friend, I hope you have not forgotten that your friends come first?" Veronica stated.
"I guess you're right. But what should I tell her?"
"Tell it like it is with a bit of caution. You know how sensitive she is." Kelly nodded.
"Oh that pig." Kelly yelled, "Who is a pig?" Grace came with the pizza and the others looked at each other. Veronica nodded to Kelly and Kelly began her little speech.
"Grace it is something I have to tell you. The guy that I will go out with ... is your boyfriend Ian. Just so you know I did not know this." Grace said nothing and sat still for a long moment.
"Grace, are you okay?" Veronica came closer and Grace just nodded and then suddenly came the tears.
"Billie, three chocolate smoothies thanks." Veronica shouted at the owner "And a pile napkins."
"Why, why him?" Grace blew her nose while Veronica comforted her.
"Guys do not know better, they think only with their thing." Kelly pointed out.
"I just thought he was nice. I liked him really it felt like he was the one for me."
"You will go over this, believe me. One day you will find someone who likes you for who you are and that Ian he doesn't know better and he is not a man for that." Veronica comforted.
"But what if I will never find him, what if I will be one of those women who live alone with 20 cats." Veronica and Kelly frowned at each other.
"Okay, now you exaggerate a bit Grace. First of all you are only 16 and still young, believe us: You will find the right one." Veronica and Kelly hugged her long.
Veronica came home with an uneaten pizza with her. She came to the kitchen and found Alice, Bella and Renesmee there.
"Hey Rey want to share pizza with me?" Renesmee shrugged "Okay, why not."
Veronica leaned against the kitchen board and Renesmee took a piece "It's cold." She stated.
"And what do we have microwave oven for?" Veronica stated back and ate a cold piece of pizza.
"What's with you?" Bella asked.
"No nothing, we just got to know that Grace's stupid guy really is a cheat."
"What happened?" Alice asked "Ian asked Kelly out, Kelly comes to us and tells me everything about the good news then we had to tell Grace and a tub with water coming out."
"What happened next?" Renesmee asked.
"She drank up her smoothie and I drove her home. How could someone be so selfish and do this to her? The worst thing is that the whole school knows how sensitive she is."
"She will go over that." Renesmee said.
"I said that too and it will take least five weeks."
"What are you gonna do?"
"Nothing, but I know one thing have to do about Kelly."
Next morning in school
The girls sat in the classroom and put out Kelly's credit cards on the table.
"Come on, you cannot live in someone else's money for the rest of your life." Veronica said and put out a scissor at her.
"I know that was why I had planned to get married after school."
"Believe me, it is better to learn this while when you're young and you will feel much better when you earn your own money." Veronica said.
"Do you have jobs?" Kelly asked both "Yes, I work at the stables on the weekends." Veronica said.
"I work at the pub every other weekend." Grace said.
"Cut the cards now." Grace gave Kelly the scissor and cut them apart.
"Well done, welcome to reality. You will hate it." Veronica said and Kelly began to cry.
"What is it?" Grace asked "There was a sale on Nelly's today." Kelly cried out.
Later the girls sat in the hallway and hang out and then they saw Ian at his locker. All three looked at him angrily.
"Do not worry I have arranged a gift for him." All looked at Kelly and wondered what she meant.
Ian opened the locker and pink color shot at him. His whole face was covered with paint and the girls laughed.
After school the girl went back to the Billie's and this time they hanged out just like they did before.
