A/N: I do not own Mandarin or anything from SRMTHFG! that you may recognize. They are characters that were created by Ciro Nieli. The Song "The Plagues" is from The Prince of Egypt. I do own Nikki however.

"The Mandarin you know and the one I know are two different monkeys. He's good to me. He's kind. He would never want to hurt me." Nikki argued against her brother and his team. He was frustrating her with the path this conversation had taken.

"Nikki! He's evil! He's changing you!" Chiro argued back at his sister. When he confronted her about her relationship with Mandarin this morning, he was hoping that she'd see the error of her ways and come back to him instead of... all of this lashing out that she's doing.

"No, he isn't! You just refuse to believe me thanks to some supposed slight that you have against him." Nikki retorted. Why was her brother so stupid as to think that she wasn't of sound mind when around Mandarin?

"There's no changing your mind, is there?" Chiro asked in a deadpan. It was becoming clear to him that Nikki was not going to change... however disappointing that was he felt bad for what was going to happen.

"Not a chance in hell." Nikki's green eyes glinted in anger at the lot of them. Not sure what was going to happen but ready to face it nonetheless.

"Then you leave us no choice," Antauri spoke in a deceptively calm voice. That is to say, much more than usual which is pretty damn calm.

"Antauri? Gibson?" Nikki noticed the expressions on the monkeys' faces becoming increasingly angrier. She had a bad feeling of what was to come. The teenager called up her green fire to rest in the palms of her hands.

"DOUBLE MONKEY ATTACK!"

"Oh fuck me!" Nikki created a fire shield to defend herself with one arm while the other held a green fireball, continuously dodging the two vicious monkeys while throwing fireball after fireball at the pair. She glanced over to the side where her brother stood with the remaining monkeys. "Please brother. Don't do this."

"You are no sister of mine. Anyone who would willingly work with that monster clearly needs to be restrained."

One fairly short battle later, Nikki was unconscious and restrained behind a forcefield within their med bay.

"I'm sorry. But you cannot be trusted for as long as you work with him." Antauri walked sadly out of the med bay. He could see the similarities between his family and Chiro's. Chiro is fortunate that he didn't have to send his sister off to H.O.O.P. yet.

~ ~ Dreamscape ~ ~

There was nothing but blackness that seemed to stretch on for eternity. Nikki was curled up in a ball, crying hard. She just couldn't understand it. Why was her brother so hateful towards the only friend that she could even recall having for most of her life? Why did he seem to hate her abilities? Could it be that Chiro hated...her?

It was then that a clawed hand gently gripped her shoulder. Nikki whirled around her own angry bloodshot eyes meeting Mandarin's stoic ones. He pulled her into a tight embrace and held her close. "I warned you," he murmured softly into her ear. "I warned you that they would not trust me or you. I warned you that they would turn their backs on you once they found out that we had the slightest of connections between us."

"I know," she sniffled as she gripped onto the fur of his chest. "I know and I'm sorry. I'm sorry for not listening. I should've heeded your advice."

"Yes. You should have. And now we face a war against those brothers of ours who would rather see us dead than to even bother considering to listen to us for even a moment." Mandarin absentmindedly stroked Nikki's hair as he stared off into the distance.

"So what do we do now? There's not a chance in hell that they'll listen to us like you said." Nikki wiped the tears from her eyes as she gazed up into his red eyes.

"We stop them. We stop them from trying to detain us from our goal and we'll hope that they can eventually be persuaded to join our cause."

Nikki pulled herself from Mandarin's embrace and started walking away.

"Once I called you brother
Once I thought the chance to make you laugh
Was all I ever wanted
And even now
I wish that God had chosen another
Serving as your foe on his behalf
Is the last thing that I wanted!"

An image of Shuggazoom city appeared in the darkness. She could see the city being torn apart, destroyed by the Hyperforce, the so-called heroes of the city, and what appeared to be her iconic green flames.

"This was my home
All this pain and devastation
How it tortures me inside
All the innocent who suffer
From your stubbornness and pride!"

She could see Chiro sending several energy attacks at the bridge, starting what appeared to be the sinking of their once beloved city.

"You who I called brother
Why must you call down another blow?
Let my people go!"

Then Nikki heard Chiro's echoing reply.

"You who I called sister
How could you come to hate me so
Is this what you wanted?
Then let my heart be hardened
And never mind how high the cost may grow
This will still be so
I will not let your people go!"

Nikki teared up again only this time, they were angry tears. "Thus saith the Lord..."

"I will not let your-"

"Let my"

"People go!"

The twins ended the song in unison.

"You want me to be the bad guy, Chiro? Fine. Now I'm the bad guy..."

Nikki awoke in the Medbay. She saw that there was a blue force field keeping her on the examination table with almost no room to move at all. She took a glance at one of the blank computer screens and saw her reflection. Her eyes were now a blood-red and her hair had turned a firey-red. It was official. She grinned a wide toothy grin at her reflection. The downfall of the Hyperforce would soon be upon them and Nikki couldn't be happier.
