A/N: Oh, look...we get Constantine in this one! Mostly because he's hilarious. Adnd also a lot of posessive!Len going on...which means possible OOCness on Len's part. You have been warned. A lighter oneshot this time...you're welcome. Also, sorry the last few have been so short, I'll try to make them longer but it just depends on where the arc of the oneshot takes me.

Disclaimer: If I owned LoT, Len wouldn't be dead and Captain Canary would have been more than casual flirting and one kiss. So basically no, it's not mine.

Day 7: Faithfully

Sara really should have learned by now that when Leonard was serious about something, he really did mean it.

This included being a Legend, his devotion to his longtime partnership with Mick, and his relationship with Sara.

Sara didn't entirely know why, but she'd started to have doubts about Leonard's commitment to their relationshop of late, particularly as Leonard casually flirted with other members of the team (even, once, Ray, just to tease Mick about his choice of boyfriend). She knew she shouldn't doubt; the moment Leonard had come back he'd sought her out and kissed her (at least until she pulled away and punched him). He'd all but promised never to scare her like he had when the Oculus exploded again.

Despite the small ways Leonard showed they were together - casual touches, more flirting than usual, slightly lingering looks, and the occasional light kiss before a mission - Sara couldn't help but feel self-conscious about it. Constantine wasn't helping matters either - don't get her wrong, Sara liked the guy, but he flirted with everyone, and Sara suspected that had rubbed off on Leonard.

It was in her office one day that Sara's fears were completely disproved. Sara was working, and Leonard had just materialized in the doorway with his card deck that he'd stolen from Salvation in hand. Much like he had the day of the Oculus explosion, when Sara looked up at him, he shook the card deck a little, a silent invitation to come play. Sara rolled her eyes, saved what she'd been working on, and crossed the room to him. He met her halfway.

"How many times have I told you to not interrupt me while I'm working?" Sara asked, though it was rather halfhearted, especially as he slid an arm around her waist, the other hand tucking the cards into his pocket.

"A lot more, apparently," Leonard teased, and God, Sara hated the way that smirk of his made her heart melt. Every single time.

Sara smiled. "Oh well. I suppose I'll just have to deal with you, then."

Leonard smiled back, a rare moment of posessiveness shining through. "Mmhmm, and how exactly are you planning to do that?" he murmured in her ear.

"Why don't you find out?" Sara suggested.

"Mm...I like that idea," Leonard said, and moved in to kiss her.

"I'm interrupting something, aren't I?" Constantine had appeared in the doorway.

Leonard pulled away and both crook and assassin turned to glare at the warlock.

"You think?" Leonard said.

"Ooh, you're cute when you're angry," Constantine said. "I like it."

Sara's fears came rushing back; Constantine just had to start flirting. Leonard merely raised an eyebrow at the attempt.

"Hmm, even cuter," Constantine mused upon seeing Leonard's raised eyebrow.

"Where's Gary?" asked Leonard coolly.

Constantine waved a dismissive hand. "Not entirely sure, don't entirely care."

It was Sara's turn to raise an eyebrow. "This ship isn't that big. There really aren't that many places to hide."

"He's not hiding," Constantine replied. "I just had no inclination to seek him out."

Sara shook her head; Constantine was a complicated man. Or...warlock, or whatever he was. Though she couldn't entirely blame him; Gary was annoying.

"Why are you here, Constantine?" Leonard asked.

Constantine flashed him a quick smile. "If you're hoping I'll say I was looking for you, Cold, I'm sorry to disappoint."

"I wasn't," Leonard said flatly.

"Actually I was looking for Sara, though now I suppose I could have just asked Gideon," Constantine explained. "Lucky coincidence to run into you as well."

"Okay, enough," Leonard said. Constantine gave him a bemused look. Leonard elaborated, "Enough with the flirting. I get it, that's your thing, but in case you hadn't noticed when you walked in on us, I have a girlfriend. One whom I am perfectly happy with, by the way." Leonard glanced at her, then back to Constantine. "She can kick all of our asses in a fight and beat me soundly at gin, and is the most badass captain I have ever and most likely will ever know. She whipped this team into shape within a day of being captain and continues to rein everyone in, even Mick, which is an accomplishment in itself. So while I get that the flirting is just the way you do things, don't try it with me."

Leonard walked over to Constantine; Sara's heart stuttered a moment as she wondered what he was going to do. It was just about the opposite of anything she'd expected: he pulled a very surprised Constantine into a quick kiss, then pushed him away, smirked, and said, "You're pretty, Constantine, but you're not that pretty." He crossed the room again to stand beside Sara once more. "My heart lies with Sara," Leonard said. "And that's where it will always stay."

Sara was sure she was blushing. And she hated it, but couldn't help it; that was probably the sweetest thing she'd ever seen Leonard do.

Constantine seemed to think so too, because he held up his hands in surrender. "Alright, you win. The flirting will cease." It was Constantine's turn to smirk. "Mostly."

Leonard glared at him. Constantine just laughed and left the room.

Leonard turned back to Sara. "If you tell anyone about that..."

"Don't worry, Len, your protective side will be kept a secret," Sara laughed.

"Now," Leonard said with a sly grin. "Where were we...?"

Little did Leonard know, Gideon had recorded the entire interaction with Constantine, and she showed the rest of the team later that night. Their reactions ranged from impressed to mortified (the latter being mostly Constantine, and Gary, who blushed hard when Constantine mentioned him).

Mick was the only one who didn't offer an opinion. But even he hid his own smile behind his beer.

Honestly, he was just impressed that his friend had had the guts to say all that with a sneaky AI on board the ship.

This one was fun to write. I hope you all enjoyed it. Please leave feedback in reviews - did I get Constantine right? Was Len's defense a little much? Let me know in your reviews!
