Hello everyone, Merry Christmas. Now I know it's been a while since I last updated a story, but I've been rather busy. I thought I'd make a Christmas one shot special of my story. It's a bit like my White Dragon Emperor Christmas special, but different in a few ways. This has become my longest chapter, exceeding my last White Dragon Emperor chapter. This will have a few spoilers, but not to many as I want to keep a few things as a surprises. This will only have one Duel, but I did my best to have it exciting. You might like a few things and you might not. For now, enjoy the Christmas special.
Christmas special.
Light snow fell from the sky towards Paradise City with air cold, yet the day was a special one. Today was Christmas Eve and Paradise City was celebrating it. All around the city, people were buying presents, meeting up with friends and family to celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas tomorrow. Children filled the parks as they played in the snow with their families watching them enjoy themselves.
At the outskirts of Paradise City, there was a familiar three story modern house, white rendered with big glass double doors and windows. The back had a curved wrap around modem pool with a frameless fence, a sweeping staircase to the second story balcony. Inside, the living room had a floor to ceiling window that overlooked the pool area with two three seat couches facing a giant flat screen TV with surround sound system. Next to the TV was a green Christmas tree with decorations and twinkle lights wrapped around it.
Not too far from the living room was the kitchen with a giant island bench top and dining room with a glass table with four wooden chairs surrounding it. Just off the dining area, there was an informal lounging area that had L shaped lounges facing the glass bifold doors that opened out into the pool area, making it an indoor/outdoor space. Veering off the pool area, there was a set of stairs that lead into a backyard, surrounded by trees with a single birdhouse attached to one of them.
The house had a large garage that was filled with three Duel Runners and a blue skateboard. Two of the Duel Runners were Yusei and Akiza's Duel Runners, but the third was Rin's Duel Runner, Wind's Fury. Up above the house were three bedrooms and two guest rooms. It even had a game room, a living room with its own TV and two separate bathrooms that had its own showers and baths.
This house was the home of Yusei, Lulu, Rin and now Akiza, Kalin and Leo. A week has passed since Akiza, Kalin and Leo were brought to the Standard Dimension and Yuya and Gong's Duel. The Arc League Championships has been postponed until next year, giving the citizens of Paradise City the chance to celebrate Christmas and eventually New Year's Day.
Yusei, Lulu, Rin, Akiza, Kalin and Leo were perfectly fine with this as it gave them all the chance to reconnect. Well, more for Yusei, Akiza, Leo and Kalin since it has been two months since they last saw each other. Lulu and Rin have grown really close to Akiza, and become great friends with Kalin and Leo. Like how Yusei felt like a father to them, Akiza was beginning to feel like a mother to the two girls, with the female Signer growing to care for Lulu and Rin as if they were her real daughters.
For the last few days, Yusei, Akiza, Leo, Lulu, Rin and Kalin have been preparing for Christmas, any thought of the Dimensional War or the Arc League Championships were absent from their minds. All they cared about was enjoying the holidays together and with their friends. It was planned that tomorrow, they'd head over to the You Show Duel School to party with their friends and celebrate Christmas together.
Currently in the backyard, Lulu, Rin and Leo were all playing together in the snow. The snow had covered the backyard, filling it with snow and allowing the three to enjoy themselves. The three were making snow angels, snowmen and having a snowball fight, enjoying themselves to their hearts content.
Lulu and Rin were wearing their new outfits that had replaced their old ones. Lulu had her hair in a long side braid with a butterfly bow at the end. She wore an off the shoulder light grey nit jumper over a purple tank top, teamed with purple shorts, a pink leather belt, purple tights with brown high heel open toe boots with laces crossing to the sides. All she had left of her old outfit was her bracelet. Rin was wearing a fitted long sleeve emerald green jacket over a pink flared camisole with a white frilled border, a leather band necklace with a clear crystal pendant, gray jeans and pink high-heeled boots. Like her sister, Rin kept her bracelet. Unlike the two girls, Leo was wearing his old outfit that he wore back in his world.
The three children were having a good time, currently in a snowball fight against each other with all three of them laughing. "Heads up, Rin!" Leo cried out as he threw a snowball at Rin's face, who had her attention on Lulu, thus allowing the green haired boy to successfully land the shot. The snowball covered Rin's face upon making contact, with the force sending the 14-year-old girl to the snow covered ground.
The snow whooshed up as Rin fell to the ground. Leo laughed in joy at seeing this, while Lulu just giggled, before she quickly took cover behind a tree from the 'raging storm' that was her sister. Rin was stiff for a few seconds, before she shot up from the ground like that of a zombie, with her eyes anime angry white.
"Game on!" Rin exclaimed in anime rage, making Leo smirk as he knelt down and began making snowballs from the snow covered ground. "Game over!" The green haired boy replied as he stood up with two snowballs in hand. However, he immediately sweat dropped with white anime eyes of horror at seeing Rin holding a giant snowball that was 3 times her size above her.
"You're right. It IS game over, pipsqueak!" The green haired girl called out, before she threw the giant snowball at Leo, who stood completely still from the horror he was experiencing. The giant snowball latterly flattened Leo, covering him from view. From the sidelines, Lulu sweat dropped, before she got out of her hiding spot and walked over to the snow pile that covered Leo.
"Okay Rin, you had your fun. Now help me dig Leo out of there". Lulu told her sister as she started digging through the snow to find the 12-year-old boy. "Aww come on, Lulu. The pipsqueak was asking for it". Rin replied to her sister as she placed his left hand on her left hip, having a little smug look on her face.
Lulu sighed, before she looked over her left shoulder to look at Rin. "And he got it. Now help me dig him out". The 14-year-old teenager told her sister, before she went back to digging through the snow. "Oh all right". The green haired girl said as she took a sigh, before she walked over and began digging through the snow to search for Leo.
The two girls continued to dig through the snow with their bare hands, until Lulu grabbed something inside, making her lightly smile. "Aha! Found him!" The teenage girl exclaimed, before she pulled out a shivering Leo from the pile of snow. The 12-year-old boy had snow all over his clothes and on his hair, plus he was chattering his teeth very quickly.
"Y-y-y-you're e-e-e-evil". The shivering 12-year-old boy told Rin, who just gave him the anime evil eye in response. "Let that be a lesson. Never throw a snowball right at my face, got it?" Rin told her friend, before she ruffled Leo's hair in a playful manner. "Come on Leo. Let's head back inside and I'll make you some hot chocolate". Lulu told the young boy as she took his left hand with her right hand and began leading him back to the house. "T-thanks Lulu". Leo thanked the purple haired female with a small smile. Rin followed Lulu and Leo, having had enough playtime for the moment.
Inside the house in the kitchen was Akiza, who was sitting down on one of the wooden chairs, looking out one of the glass bifold doors, wearing her normal outfit that she's worn since the Fortune Cup. She had been watching Lulu, Rin and Leo playing in the snow for the past half an hour and it really warmed her heart to see the two girls having fun. She really loved seeing the two girls have fun and act like children their age are suppose to be.
Akiza thought back to when she learned of Lulu and Rin's past, about their homes and how they've suffered. How Lulu's home was turned into a battlefield where people were turned into cards and how what she loved was turned into a weapon. How Rin lived as an orphanage in a terrible city just like how her world used to be. Akiza's heart swelled at hearing the terrors that the two girls had to experience.
It really warmed her heart at seeing the two girls have the joy that children like them are supposed to have. The former Black Rose Witch may have only known Lulu and Rin for just a week so far, but she's grown to care for them like they were her own children. That's why she's gonna work hard to make this Christmas special to them, to make up for all the atrocities that they've been forced to endure.
The 18-year-old female stood up from her wooden chair and walked out of the kitchen, heading towards her room to prepare her presents for Lulu, Rin and Leo. At that moment, Yusei and Kalin walked out of the garage, with the two males wearing their casual outfits. The Signer and former Dark Signer saw Akiza about to walk up the stairs with an excited look on her face, getting the two curious on why she seemed so excited.
"Akiza?" The Shooting Star of Satellite said with a curious expression, getting the former Black Rose Witch's attention as she looked at Yusei and Kalin with a growing smile on her face. "Hey Yusei, Kalin!" Akiza exclaimed as she rushed down to the two, giving Kalin a hug and Yusei a kiss on the cheek.
"Why are you so excited?" Kalin questioned the female Signer, getting her attention as she looked at the former Dark Signer. "It's Christmas Eve and tomorrow is Christmas. I'm gonna make this Christmas one that Lulu and Rin are never gonna forget". Akiza answered the leader of the disbanded Enforcers, still having that growing smile on her face.
Yusei and Kalin grew looks of realization on their faces as they now understood why Akiza was so excited now. "I understand why you're excited, but why are you so eager to make this Christmas so special?" Yusei questioned his girlfriend, wanting to hear why she wanted to make this Christmas special.
Akiza's face fell as she looked down at the ground, unable to look into the eyes of the man she loves. "Lulu and Rin have suffered a lot because of Duel Academy and from the Synchro Dimension's New Domino City. And they've never had a family before to celebrate Christmas with. I wanted to make this Christmas an unforgettable one for them". Akiza explained to her two friends why she wanted to make this Christmas special.
Both Yusei and Kalin smiled in understanding as they understood Akiza's feelings. "I understand Akiza, and I think that's sweet that you want to make Lulu and Rin happy". Yusei said to his girlfriend with a smile, one that Akiza returned with her own. "So what kinda present are you gonna give Lulu and Rin?" Kalin questioned the 18-year-old woman, getting Akiza's attention as she turned around to face the Infernity Duelist.
Akiza was about to speak, only to stop. She looked down at the ground, thinking about the perfect kind of present for the two girls. Unfortunately, nothing came to her mind at the moment, making her smile nervously. "I've got nothing in mind at the moment". The former Black Rose Witch revealed, making both Yusei and Kalin chuckle in amusement.
"Why not take the girls for a shopping trip? If you do that, all three of you can tell each other what you want, or at least get a good idea on what kind of gift you should get". The Shooting Star of Satellite suggested to his girlfriend with an amused smile, getting Akiza to look at him before she smiled. "That could work. Thank you Yusei". The 18-year-old female thanked her boyfriend, going up to him to give a kiss on the cheek again.
"You should go get your coat. It's pretty cold out there". Kalin advised Akiza, getting her to nod at him in agreement. "I'll be right back". Akiza told the two as she ran upstairs to get her coat with both Yusei and Kalin watching her until she was out of sight. The former Dark Signer turned to look at his old friend, having been curious about something.
"What kind of presents do you plan to give to everyone?" Kalin questioned his old friend, getting Yusei's attention as he turned to face the former Dark Signer. "I was thinking of giving everyone some new cards to help out with our fight against Duel Academy in the future. And even give Rin's Duel Runner and Leo's Duel Board an upgrade". The Signer revealed to his friend, getting Kalin to chuckle a bit. "Are you sure that's all?" The leader of the disbanded Enforcers asked with his eyes closed, getting Yusei to raise an eyebrow.
"I haven't been here for very long, but I know that those two girls really love spending time with you. Plus, Leo always did enjoy being around you as well. Not to mention Akiza as well". Kalin began as he opened his eyes and gave Yusei a stare as cold as ice. "Akiza and Leo were heartbroken when they thought you were dead and now, knowing you're alive and with them again, really made them happy. You owe it to them to spend time with them on Christmas". The former Dark Signer finished with his voice as cold as his stare.
Despite the cold voice and stare, Yusei wasn't affected. The Shooting Star of Satellite looked down in thought for a few seconds, before he gave Kalin a smile. "You're right Kalin. After all they've went through, I should spend some time with Akiza and Leo. Thanks man". Yusei thanked his old teammate as he raised his right fist for a fist bump. Kalin lost the cold stare as he smiled at his old friend, before he fist bumped Yusei's right fist with his left fist.
"What about you? What do you want for Christmas?" The Shooting Star of Satellite questioned his old leader, wondering what he wants for the holiday. "Nothing". Kalin answered instantly, making Yusei raise an eyebrow at him and his answer. "Being here with you after thinking you were dead, is enough for me". The leader of the disbanded Enforcers explained to his old teammate as he began to walk pass him, but stopped and placed his left hand on Yusei's right shoulder.
"You'd better start looking through that briefcase of yours and find the right cards for your daughters and Leo. Although it's early in the morning, time is short and you still have to work on giving an upgrade to Rin's Duel Runner and Leo's Duel Board". The former Dark Signer reminded the Signer, before he walked off, temporarily leaving the house to go for a walk.
Yusei watched his old friend with a smile, but his attention shifted as his ace monster, Stardust Dragon appeared next to him, having to crouch down to fit in the house. 'You appear to be happy'. The Signer Dragon stated, looking as if he was smiling at his Duelist. Yusei just continued to smile as he looked upstairs. "Two of my friends and the woman I love are here with me, and it's my first Christmas with my daughters and student. It's natural for me to be a bit happy". The Shooting Star of Satellite told his ace monster, feeling happier than he's ever been since he arrived in the world of the Four Dimensions.
'I guess that's an understanding reason to be happy'. Stardust stated, seeing the understanding in Yusei's words. The Signer Dragon's Duelist turned his attention to his ace monster, wondering what he's gonna do for the holidays. "What about you Stardust? Do you have any plans for Christmas?" The 19-year-old questioned his trusted partner, wondering what Stardust has planned.
The Synchro Monster looked at his Duelist with what looked to be a happy expression. 'Life Stream, Black Rose and I are gonna spend some time together to catch up on lost time. Odd-Eyes and Nightingale are gonna be spending some quality time together and Winter Bell is gonna be practicing her magic'. Stardust told his Duelist, telling him what he, his friends, student and daughters are planning to do for Christmas.
"Looks like you've planned today out. I don't want to take up anymore of your time, so head back to the Spirit World and enjoy yourself". Yusei told his ace monster, wanting Stardust to have as much time with his friends and family like him. 'Don't mind if I do. Also, Merry Christmas'. Stardust said to his Duelist, before he disappeared, returning to the Spirit World.
Yusei watched his ace monster return to the Spirit World, before the sounds of footsteps coming down the stairs caught his attention. The Shooting Star of Satellite looked up and saw Akiza walking down the staircase with a rosy colored winter coat and hat on. "You look beautiful". Yusei complimented the female Signer, making Akiza let out a happy smile with her cheeks blushing red. "Thank you Yusei". Akiza thanked her boyfriend, feeling her heart beating a little faster than usual.
Akiza fully walked down the staircase and towards the kitchen, with Yusei following his girlfriend. The two Signers soon entered the kitchen and saw Rin and Leo sitting down on two chairs around the table with a blanket around the 12-year-old boy, while Lulu was at the island bench top, pouring a hot chocolate into a green cup. The purple haired girl took hold of the green cup with both her hands, before she walked over to the glass table and placed the hot chocolate in front of a shivering Leo.
"Here you go, Leo. A nice, tasty hot chocolate just for you". Lulu told the 12-year-old boy as she leaned down and gave him a kiss on the forehead, making Leo blush bright red with steam coming out of his ears. Both girls giggled at seeing Leo react like this, while the two adults just smiled at seeing the three get along so well. "Now make sure to drink all of it". Rin told the green haired boy with a stern look on her face, which the blushing boy looked over and nodded to her.
Leo took hold of the hot chocolate with both his hands and started drinking it with Lulu and Rin watching him. "Take your time to savor the taste. No one's gonna take your hot chocolate from you". Lulu told the 12-year-old with a soft smile, getting Leo to look at her and nod. "But don't take too long. Despite having 'hot' in its name, that chocolate won't stay hot for long". Rin joked with a giggle, making Lulu giggle as well. Even Leo stopped having his hot chocolate to chuckle at the joke.
Yusei chuckled and Akiza giggled, before the former Black Rose Witch walked into the kitchen, getting the three children's attention. "Oh, hi Akiza". Lulu greeted the older female with a smile, which Akiza waved at the purple haired female. "Hi Lulu, Rin, Leo. I see all three of you are having fun". The female Signer greeted the three, walking up to Leo and patting him on the head.
"Anyway, wanna go shopping with me, Lulu, Rin?" Akiza questioned the two teenage girls, getting them to smile in excitement. "Do you really need to ask? Of course we do". Rin answered the female Signer, excited to go shopping for Christmas Eve. "I'm glad to hear that. You two have five minutes to get ready before we leave? Go put something on that'll keep you warm in the cold". Akiza told the two teenage girls with a stern look, leaning down a bit to get closer to them.
"Okay". Lulu replied to the female Signer, before she began to walk to her room, passing by Yusei, who gave her a small smile as she continued on her way. "I don't think I need to change. I'll be fine just like this". Rin said as she looked down at what she was wearing, especially at her jacket. "At least wear a scarf, just in case". Akiza told the Windwitch Duelist, who looked down in thought for a moment, before she followed after her sister, passing through Yusei.
The Shooting Star of Satellite walked up to Akiza and Leo, with the 12-year-old boy growing a big smile at seeing his fellow Signer. "Yusei!" The sixth Signer exclaimed in joy, making Yusei smile as he took a seat next to his young friend. "Hey Leo. Did you have fun outside with Lulu and Rin?" The Shooting Star of Satellite questioned the boy, who looked down at his hot chocolate. "I had fun with Lulu and Rin, but then Rin went overboard and threw a giant snowball at me". Leo told the Shooting Star of Satellite, shivering a bit from remembering how he was flattened by a giant snowball.
"…Okay, what did you do?" Yusei questioned with an amused smile on his face, getting Leo to look back at him with a surprised look on his face. "What are you talking about? I didn't do anything". The sixth Signer replied to Yusei, trying to keep it a secret that he threw a snowball at Rin's face. Yusei chuckled in amusement, giving his fellow Signer an amused look. "Rin only loses her temper if she has a reason to. The fact that she lost it when she was playing with you means that you did something". The Shooting Star of Satellite explained to the 12-year-old boy, missing Akiza smiling at how well he knew his daughters.
"Now, I'll ask again. What did you do to Rin?" Yusei questioned his fellow Signer once more, who was nervously sweating anime style. Before he could answer, a familiar voice beat him to it. "He threw a snowball at my face!" A voice answered the 19-year-old, getting Yusei, Akiza and Leo's attention as they looked to see Lulu and Rin walk back in, both wearing different colored scarfs. Lulu had a violet scarf wrapped around her neck and shoulders, while Rin had an icy green colored scarf around her neck. But for some reason, Lulu had a yellow backpack on her back.
Rin had her hands on her hips as she gave Leo a small glare. "That little pipsqueak threw and landed a snowball on my beautiful face. So I got payback by throwing a snowball that's three times his size at him". The 14-year-old female explained to her adopted father, giving Leo a small grin.
Yusei and Akiza chuckled in amusement, while Leo blushed in embarrassment. "So, you two ready?" Akiza asked the two younger females, which Rin and Luna nodded to her. "We're ready alright". Rin answered with a confident smile, making Akiza smile before she looked over at Yusei and Leo. "We won't be out for long. Maybe just an hour or two". Akiza informed her boyfriend, honestly having no idea how long they'll be out for.
"Okay, but just be careful out there. Leo and I will get everything ready". The Shooting Star of Satellite told his fellow Signer. "We will". The former Black Rose Witch replied as she gave Yusei a kiss on the cheek, before she began walking to the front door with Rin and Lulu following after her.
Yusei and Leo watched the three females open the front door and leave the house, making sure to close the door. The Shooting Star of Satellite turned his attention to the sixth Signer. "You can stay here and finish up your hot chocolate. I'll get to work on getting the house ready". Yusei told his fellow Signer as he stood up from his chair and began walking to the garage.
"I'll try to finish up my hot chocolate as soon as I can, Yusei!" Leo exclaimed, getting the Shooting Star of Satellite's attention as he turned around to look at the sixth Signer. "You don't need to spoil your hot chocolate on my account. Take your time". Yusei told Leo with a smile, before he continued on to the garage, leaving Leo alone in the kitchen. The sixth Signer looked back at his hot chocolate and saw his eyes, or more exact, the uncertainty in them.
Just then, Leo's ace monster Life Stream Dragon appeared next to his Duelist, immediately noticing the uncertainty in his eyes. 'Leo'. Life Stream began, getting Leo's attention as he looked at his ace monster and gave a small smile. "Hey Life Stream Dragon". The green haired boy greeted his ace monster, but the Signer Dragon could still see the fear in his eyes.
'Are you still doubting yourself?' Life Stream Dragon questioned his Duelist, cutting right to the chase. Leo's face fell before he looked down at his chocolate again. "…Yeah, I still think that it should have been someone else that was chosen to come here with Akiza and Kalin". Leo replied to the Synchro Tuner Monster, feeling uncertain that he could really help Yusei against Duel Academy.
'You don't give yourself enough credit. It was the right choice for you to the third chosen one to come to this world'. The dragon told his Duelist, his eyes narrowed dangerously at seeing that his partner still doubted himself. Life Stream's words make the sixth Signer turn to look at his Signer Dragon, wondering what he meant by that.
'Do you remember your Duel against Aporia?' Life Stream questioned the 12-year-old boy, who nodded with a confused look, wondering why his dragon was bringing that up. 'Everything seemed hopeless and that you, your sister and Red Dragon Archfiend's Duelist would be defeated. However, you changed that. You transformed your despair into hope, giving your friends hope as well. You even freed me from my shackles and returned me to my true form. You accomplished that. Not Luna, not your fellow Signers, you did. Because of that, not only did you and your fellow Signers defeat Aporia, you gave him hope. Something that not even Yusei managed to accomplish'. Life Stream explained to his partner, telling him of his past accomplishments and how he accomplished them.
Leo slowly began to widen his eyes in shock as he thought about what Life Stream Dragon told him. Soon the sixth Signer gave his ace monster a small, but appreciated smile. "Thanks big guy. I needed that little pep talk". Leo thanked his ace monster, which the Dragon-Type Synchro Monster gave his Duelist his own smile.
'Think nothing of it. It's mealy my duty as your dragon and partner to cheer you up whenever you're down'. Life Stream Dragon told his Signer, looking as if he was pleased that he successfully cheered his friend up. 'I must return to the Spirit World. After all, even us Duel Spirits have to get ready for tomorrow'. The Synchro Tuner Monster told his Duelist with a hint of excitement in his voice.
"Okay. I'll see you later". Leo bid goodbye to his ace monster as Life Stream Dragon disappeared, returning to the Spirit World. The sixth Signer turned his attention back to his hot chocolate and went back to drinking it, making sure to enjoy it.
(1 hour later in Paradise City)
The streets of Paradise City were full of people, all shopping for Christmas tomorrow. Even the road was full of cars as people were driving from their homes to the shops, and back. Among the people walking on the streets were Akiza, Lulu and Rin with all three females carrying two white bags in their hands.
They arrived in the shops 30 minutes ago and have been shopping since, visit different kinds of stores. They've gone through a game store, video store, tool store and finally a library. They've found all kinds of stuff and bought a few things, but for some reason, Lulu hasn't put anything in her backpack.
Right now the three females were heading home, having finished their shopping. Akiza was leading the way with Lulu and Rin behind her, with the two sisters in the middle of a conversation. "So what did you get for Christmas?" Lulu asked her sister with a happy smile on her face, holding her two bags with both her hands.
"I got my own laptop. Now I can work on my Duel Runner even outside the house". Rin answered with a huge smile as she looked down at one of the bags she was carrying, the one that held her new laptop "Figures. I should have known that you would get something that could help your Duel Runner". Lulu stated, although she didn't look annoyed or surprised, just having her kind gentle smile on her face.
"So what'd you get for yourself? Or better yet, what did you get for Yuya?" Rin questioned with a teasing grin on her face, making the purple haired girl's cheeks turn a bit red. It has been a few weeks since Lulu and Yuya confessed their feelings towards each other and officially became a couple. So far, their relationship was going nice and slow with kissing being the limit.
"R-Rin…" Lulu said as she looked away from her sister, her face flushed from the grin on Rin's face. The green haired girl giggled a bit with her eyes closed in amusement, before she opened them to look at her sister. "I'm just curious. It's your first Christmas with your new boyfriend, not to mention said boyfriend being your teacher's son". Rin said with an innocent smile on her face as if she hasn't done anything wrong.
Lulu looked down at the ground to avoid looking at Rin in the eye, but the green haired girl wasn't done teasing her yet. "Are you gonna spend the night in his house? Are you gonna sleep in the same bad together? Oh I know! You're gonna get him under the mistletoe and kiss him on the lips". Rin said with a mischievous look, making Lulu's whole face turn bright red with steam coming out of her ears.
Akiza giggled in amusement at hearing Rin's words, while the green haired girl had a smug look on her face. "I…I…I…" Lulu stuttered as she looked left and right, but that was when she noticed something at the other side of the street. In an alleyway, covered in the shadows was Yuto, leaning against the wall and was looking at her with his arms crossed.
"Yuto…" Lulu whispered with a soft gaze at seeing her ex-boyfriend again. It's been a week since she last saw him and her brother after their Duel against Yusei and their defeat. Ever since then, she's seen no sign of her ex-boyfriend or her older brother. This gave Lulu the chance to sort her feelings for Yuto out. She found her answer to her feelings not too long ago and wants to set things straight between her and her ex-boyfriend.
Yuto tilted his head down the alleyway, before he began walking down it, disappearing from Lulu's sight. Lulu looked down at the ground for a few moments, before she looked at Akiza and Rin and saw the other two females staring down at the alleyway. Rin and Akiza had taken notice of Lulu's staring, so they looked at the direction that she was looking at and saw her ex-boyfriend.
"Rin, Akiza? Head on back home, I'll catch up with you". The purple haired female told the other two females, getting Rin and Akiza to look at Lulu with concerned looks on their faces. "Are you sure about this Lulu? You don't need to talk to Yuto just yet. You don't need to rush things between you and him". Rin told her sister with a worried look, knowing how complicated it has been between Lulu and Yuto since their breakup.
The former Black Rose Witch nodded, agreeing with Rin. Yusei had told her all about Lulu and Yuto, how they met, became a couple and how they broke up. Akiza felt sadness for Lulu at how a boy she cared, maybe even loved, used what she loved to hurt members of Duel Academy and crossed the line by turning them into cards. The female Signer did feel relief at hearing Lulu had healed from her broken heart thanks to Yuya and started a relationship with him.
"Rin's right. I honestly have no experience at stuff like a broken relationship. But I know suffering through the actions of someone you love. These things take time; you don't need to rush it". Akiza told the younger female, thinking about how similar that both her and Lulu suffered. She suffered because of her father calling her a monster, and Lulu suffered because her ex-boyfriend used Dueling to hurt people and thus, broke her heart.
The purple haired girl gave Rin and Akiza a small smile, touched that they cared for her so much. "Thank you, Rin, Akiza. But I'm ready for this". Lulu told the two, but Akiza and Rin still looked worried for her. "I'm not so sure about that. It's barely been two weeks and you haven't had a conversation with him since. Not to mention, you guys didn't exactly seem comfortable last time you were together". Rin said to her sister, pointing out that she has had no contact with him since two weeks ago when he visited their house.
Lulu turned to look at her sister, still having that small smile on her face. "I know. But I'm ready for this". Lulu began as she turned around to look at the alleyway on the other side of the road where Yuto awaited her. "I've been running away from my past, first from my brother, then from my ex-boyfriend because I was afraid. Now, I'm not anymore. And that's thanks to you two, dad and Yuya". The purple haired female finished with a small blush as she thought about the boy that won her heart.
Lulu turned to look at Akiza and Rin again and gave them a pleading look. "So please… let me do this on my own. It's something I have to do on my own". The Xyz Duelist requested, getting Akiza and Rin to look at each other. The female Signer gave Rin a smile, before she nodded, giving her answer.
Rin slowly nodded back to Akiza, before she turned around and gave her sister an understanding smile. "Okay, you win Lulu". The Windwitch Duelist told her sister, making Lulu smile brightly, but then Rin gave her a stern look. "But don't take too long! If you don't come back in an hour, call me or else I'm gonna come looking for you. Understand?" Rin told her sister, her eyes narrowed and had a serious tone.
Lulu giggled a bit, before she nodded to her sister. "I understand, Rin". Lulu replied to her sister, before she turned to look at Akiza. The former Black Rose Witch just walked up to the Xyz Duelist and pat her on the head. "Just be careful, alright". Akiza told the younger female with a bit of concern in her eyes.
Instead of answering her, Lulu gave Akiza a hug, much to the female Signer's surprise but she did return the hug with a smile on her face. "I'll be okay. Yuto wouldn't do anything to me. Besides, even if he did, Rin or Shay or both of them would make this Christmas a nightmare for him". Lulu joked with a mischievous look on her face, making Akiza and Rin giggle in amusement.
"You're darn right I'll make his Christmas a nightmare. Nobody, and I mean nobody, tries anything with my sister. The only exceptions are Yusei, Kalin, Leo, Akiza and your boyfriend". Rin said with a smug smile as Lulu's face flushed once again, making the green haired female laugh. Akiza broke her hug with Lulu, before she stepped back and looked at the purple haired female in the eye.
"We'll see you back home, Lulu. Bye". Akiza bid goodbye to the younger female as she leaned down and kissed Lulu's forehead, which she grew a happy smile. Lulu handed her bags to the female Signer, before Akiza and Rin began walking away back home, with the green haired girl waving at her sister, who returned it. Soon the two Turbo Duelists left Lulu's sight, having lost sight of them in the crowds of people.
The purple haired female turned around and walked to a traffic light street. She waited at the edge with other people for the lights to change from green to red, allowing them to walk over to the other side of the street. It took 30 seconds before the lights changed, but eventually the cars stopped and the people walked through the street.
Immediately once she reached the other side, Lulu turned left and walked up to the alleyway. She looked down the alleyway, but didn't see any sign of Yuto. "Always had to be the dark mysterious type, don't you Yuto?" Lulu said as she began walking down the alleyway to find her ex-boyfriend. It didn't take long until she reached the end of the alleyway, where her ex-boyfriend stood with his arms crossed, having been waiting for her.
"Lulu". Yuto greeted his ex-girlfriend as Lulu stopped in front of him. The 14-year-old male looked uncomfortable being along with his ex-girlfriend, while the female was smiling at her ex-boyfriend. "Merry Christmas". Lulu said to her boyfriend with a sweet smile on her face and her eyes closed in happiness, making Yuto slightly widen his eyes in surprise.
Lulu took notice of Yuto's surprised look and giggled. "I honestly thought that it would have been Shay that forgotten that tomorrow is Christmas". Lulu said in amusement as she took her backpack off, knelt down on the ground and placed it in front of her ex-boyfriend. "I couldn't afford to get you and Shay anything expensive, but I managed to make these for you". The purple haired girl told her ex-boyfriend as she zipped open the bag, before she turned it around and pushed it towards Yuto.
The Phantom Knights Duelist narrowed his eyes in confusion, but still walked up to the bag and knelt down to it. The 14-year-old boy opened the bag to see what was inside and saw multiple containers, containing food. There was bacon, sausages, strawberries, grapes, sushi, bread, burgers, pancakes, tuna canes bananas and even cooked rice inside the plastic containers. There were two plastic bottles of water inside as well, some source and plates to put the food on.
"I packed you guys some food that'll last for today and tomorrow. You guys haven't had a proper meal for a long time now, so I thought I could at least give you guys some food". Lulu explained to her ex-boyfriend, before her face fell a bit. "I'm sorry if it's not enough". The purple haired female added, getting Yuto to look at her and shook his head in denial. "No, no, it's plenty. It means a lot that you went through the trouble of making all this for Shay and I. Thank you Lulu". Yuto told his ex-girlfriend with a look of gratitude on his face, really grateful that she did this for him and Shay.
Yuto's words cheered Lulu up as her face brightened as she smiled at the Phantom Knights Duelists. "You and Shay still mean a lot to me Yuto, and nothing is ever gonna change that". Lulu told her ex-boyfriend, getting Yuto to look at her more close and saw her beautiful sweet smile that only she can do. Seeing that smile brought back memories to Yuto, memories of when he and Lulu were still dating before Duel Academy invaded their home.
He remembered how they met through Shay. Shay had invited him to watch a Duel with him, where he first saw Lulu in action. She really impressed him with her Dueling style, though he received quite the shock when Shay revealed that Lulu was actually his sister. Later, Shay properly introduced him and Lulu, and Yuto had never felt his heart beat as fast as it did when he saw her beautiful smile.
Since then, the two of them would get together a lot. They'd meet at the park to Duel and spend time together. Eventually, they started a relationship, with the two confessing that they liked each other. But they never did kiss, deciding to take things slow. They attempted to keep their relationship from Shay a secret, but he did find out and chased Yuto for a full day straight.
Then their peaceful days came to an end when Duel Academy invaded their home and Dueling was their weapon. They turned innocent people into cards and laughed at their suffering, as if it were a game. The Resistance was formed to fight against Duel Academy to reclaim their home and protect the civilians of Heartland.
Yuto and Lulu had to put their relationship on pause as their focus had to be on their survival. Other members of the Resistance stole and copied the Human Sealing Technology from Duel Academy and used it against them, carding their defeated opponents. Lulu absolutely hated seeing her people use the Human Sealing program, seeing it as them being no different than their enemy. She took no part of this, refusing to allow Dueling to be used to cause suffering to the members of Duel Academy that she defeats.
Yuto and Shay followed her example and refused to use the Human Sealing Program. For Yuto, he didn't want to hurt his opponents, and for Shay, he just didn't want his sister to be afraid of him. Lulu felt happy that her brother and boyfriend refused to use what she loved to hurt people and felt like there was hope for her comrades to realize their mistakes.
Sadly, her faith was shattered.
One day, a group of her comrades were ambushed by a Duel Academy squad. Among them was Yuto's beloved older sister, Dextra. Dextra and her group fought hard against Duel Academy, but were defeated and sealed into cards. When word of this arrived, Yuto exploded in rage. Lulu was there when he heard of what happened to his sister and was frightened at what she saw in Yuto's eyes. Pure hatred and the look of a predator like that of a dragon. That was what she saw in Yuto's eyes.
Yuto took off to avenge his sister, leaving the Resistance camp with no backup and hunted down the Duel Academy Squad that carded his sister. Lulu and Shay grew deeply worried about Yuto, afraid that his anger could cost him. Shay convinced a few other Resistance members to help him find Yuto, which they agreed to help him. Lulu joined, wanting to help calm Yuto before he made a mistake that caused him to be carded. It took a while, but eventually they find Yuto unharmed.
However, what they saw shocked them and broke Lulu's heart.
All around Yuto were the beaten and bleeding forms of Duel Academy soldiers, caused to them by Yuto himself. Yuto had used Dueling to not just beat them in a Duel, but to hurt them in the worst way possible. Once he was done Dueling them, Yuto would then brutally beat them all up. Once the last member was defeated, Yuto then uses the Human Sealing program on a Duel Academy Duel Disk to turn them all to cards, ignoring their pleas for mercy.
But what really broke Lulu's heart the most was the look on Yuto's face. There was no remorse, guilt or pity. There was only a twisted smile on his face, as if he enjoyed the suffering of the Duel Academy soldiers. The sight of seeing her boyfriend using Dueling to inflict suffering on others and enjoying it scared Lulu so much that she ran away as fast as she could back to the Resistance base with tears falling from her eyes.
Once she arrived back at the Resistance base, Lulu locked herself in the tent that she lived in. She sat down on the ground with her arms wrapped around herself and cried. She cried at seeing Yuto cross the line and break her heart by using Dueling to hurt people. She believed at the bottom of her heart that Yuto was someone that would never hurt anyone. He promised her that he would bring peace back to Heartland and their smiles. That kindness and bravery of his was what won Lulu's heart. But what she saw Yuto do to those Duel Academy members broke her heart.
Her best friend Saya came and tried to cheer Lulu up, but failed badly. Lulu didn't turn to look or answer her; she just looked down at the ground with sadness in her eyes. Later, Shay, Yuto and the other members of the Resistance returned to base, with the Phantom Knight Duelist having a look of absolute horror and regret on his face at what he did.
Yuto and Shay immediately searched for Lulu and found her at her tent. However, she only gave Yuto permission to enter, wanting to speak to him. Shay knew how personal this was between his best friend and little sister, so he respected Lulu's wishes and left, allowing Yuto to enter the tent. The Phantom Knights Duelist sat down in front of his girlfriend and asked her if she saw what he did. Lulu, not trusting her voice, just nodded, causing Yuto to look down in guilt.
Yuto got down to his knees and apologized for breaking his promise of never using Dueling to hurt people, but the damage was done. Lulu told Yuto that she understood his anger, but he crossed the line. He became just like Duel Academy, only worse because he brutally hurt them, beating them to an inch of their lives before he carded them.
The dark haired male felt anger at Lulu's words, but kept silent, knowing that she was right as he had indeed crossed the line. He continued to listen as Lulu told him that his actions had both shattered her faith in him and broke her heart. Because of this, Lulu told Yuto that their relationship was over. Yuto was shocked at hearing this, before he asked Lulu why she was breaking up with him.
Lulu was silent for a few moments, before she began to explain to Yuto why she was breaking up with him. She told Yuto that she believed that he was not only the one who would bring peace back to Heartland City, but would bring back the true meaning of Dueling. How it was meant to bring people together and not to hurt someone. He even made a promise to never hurt someone through Dueling. However, what she saw him use Dueling for broke her faith in him, for not only was he using what she loved to hurt people, but carded them as well. She trusted him, but he betrayed his promise of never using Dueling to hurt people.
And the worst of it all was that he looked like he was enjoying their suffering. Lulu told Yuto that these were the reasons why she can't be with him, because not only did he break his promise, but it shattered her belief that the true meaning of Dueling could be restored to their home.
Yuto was silent after hearing Lulu's explanation, knowing just how much his actions have hurt her. The sadness in her voice made his heart grow heavy in regret. Lulu began to shed tears as she apologized to Yuto, but she couldn't be with him anymore after what he's done. Yuto's eyes were covered by his bangs as he stood up on his feet, before he left the room, leaving a crying Lulu all alone.
Ever since then, their relationship ended and things have been awkward ever since. The two still had conversations, but they were just a few words. Lulu would never show him that sweet smile of hers at him and whenever she did give that smile, it wasn't the same. Now, seeing her smile as the way it once was made Yuto's cheeks turn a bit red.
"Lulu… your smile…" The Phantom Knights Duelist said in surprise, getting Lulu to slightly widen her eyes in surprise, before she gave a small smile. "My time here in Standard has helped me a lot. All that sadness and despair that I used to have is all gone, and it's thanks to Yusei, Rin, Yuya and everyone else". The 14-year-old female told her ex-boyfriend, her small smile turning into her sweet beautiful smile as she thought about her new family, boyfriend and friends that she's grown to love during her time in Standard.
Yuto looked at Lulu in disbelief as he saw the truth of her words in her eyes. Once they were filled with sadness and despair, but now, they were filled with happiness, love and most of all, hope. Seeing his ex-girlfriend so full of life really made Yuto happy to see Lulu no longer filled with despair, but with hope. Yuto's thoughts then changed to something more… personal.
"Lulu?" The Phantom Knights Duelist said, getting Lulu to lose her smile as she looked at him with a curious expression on her face. "Do you think… that we could ever get back together?" Yuto asked his ex-girlfriend with a nervous look on his face, which Lulu gave him a sad smile before she shook her head with her eyes closed.
"Yuto, you're my friend that I care about, and I trust you again after what you've done. But, we're not getting back together". Lulu began as she slowly opened her eyes and looked into Yuto's eyes. "My heart broke after what you did and I was sure that I would never love again. But my heart slowly began to heal when I met Yusei and Rin". The purple haired girl continued as she looked up at the snowing sky above and for a moment, she saw Yusei and Rin's faces.
"My heart began to heal thanks to Rin's sisterly love and Yusei's fatherly love. It really felt like I had a real family with them and that healed my heart. Here at Standard, I meet people who became my friends and healed my heart even more. And I didn't even know it at the time, but I met Yuya, the boy who would eventually win my healed heart". Lulu revealed as her face flushed as she thought about her new boyfriend, missing Yuto widening his eyes in shock.
"At first, I thought he was like you, but I was wrong. He was actually a bit like me, not afraid to show his emotions out in public. We get along like two peas in a pot. Rin and Yuya's mom even teased us a lot and Yoko made a joke where she gave me her blessings to marry her son". Lulu continued, giggling a little as she thought back to the day Yusei Dueled The Sledgehammer and to that joke Yoko made.
"Yuya and I continued to grow closer with nearly everyone teasing us. Everything was so peaceful that continuing the battle against Duel Academy was the last thing on my mind. But… then I was reminded about the war in the worst way possible". The purple haired girl said, losing her smile as she looked down at the ground with sadness in her eyes.
Yuto grew concern when he saw the sadness in Lulu's eyes and immediately wanted to know the cause. "What happened?" Yuto asked in concern, wondering just what Lulu would classify 'the worst way possible' to remember the war. Lulu was silent for a few moments, before she answered. "I saw Shay Duel and card members of the Leo Institute". Lulu answered her ex-boyfriend without making eye contact with him, making Yuto widen his eyes in horror.
"I was on my way home after picking up some groceries. Out of nowhere, I heard a familiar cry down an alleyway. I got curious on what it was, so I decided to investigate what it was. I eventually found Shay down the alleyway. I was going to call out to him, but I saw him having a Duel against three elite members of the Leo Institute. I stayed in the shadows and watched as Shay defeated all three of them. But he made sure to hurt all three of them for the most stupid reason". The Mistress of Birds continued to explain as she gritted her teeth in anger and her hands formed into fists.
Yuto narrowed his eyes as he thought back to the day that Shay and him first met Yusei, and the argument that his best friend and ex-girlfriend had. "It was because all three of them used Fusion Summoning, right?" The 14-year-old questioned his ex-girlfriend, which the purple haired female nodded with her eyes narrowed in anger.
"Yes, that's why we had that stupid argument back home". The Mistress of Birds answered her friend as she stood up on her feet. Yuto rose to his feet, but had a bit of a surprised look that she considered that house that she was living in as her home. "Lulu. All Shay was doing was-". The Phantom Knights Duelist began, only to be cut off by Lulu.
"All he was doing was being exactly like Duel Academy". The Mistress of Birds interrupted as she crossed her arms, making Yuto widen his eyes at what she said. "Lulu, how could you say that?" The Phantom Knights Duelist questioned his ex-girlfriend, full of shock that she was comparing her own brother to their enemy.
"I say it because it's the truth. Shay attacked innocent people all because they use Fusion and turned them into cards, just like how Duel Academy did to our home. No matter what his reasons are, he became just like Duel Academy". Lulu answered, before she looked at her ex-boyfriend in the eye. "By all means, tell me if I'm wrong?" The Mistress of Birds told her ex-boyfriend, daring him to speak up.
Yuto kept silent as he looked down at the ground. He knew that it was the truth that Shay became just like Duel Academy the moment he attacked and carded innocent people just because they used Fusion Summoning. Still, he made one last attempt to defend his best friend.
"We didn't know if the Leo Institute was Duel Academy's ally or not. Shay did what he was the fastest way to save you from Duel Academy". Yuto told the purple haired girl, making Lulu take a deep breath with her eyes closed. Lulu opened her eyes and gave Yuto a disappointed look. "Did you really think I would have been happy, knowing that innocent people were carded just to save me?" The youngest Obsidian sibling questioned, immediately silencing the Phantom Knights Duelist as he knew the answer to that.
"…No, you wouldn't have been. You… would have been disgusted with our actions". The black and purple haired male answered, which Lulu nodded before she began to smile. "We… got a little side tracked. Anyway, after I saw Shay card those three, my heart began to break again. I ran home as fast as I could, but Shay managed to see me. He called out to me, begging me to stop, but I kept running away, as if he was actually a member of Duel Academy. I eventually lost him and made it home. I went straight to my room, collapsed to my bed and started crying". Lulu explained to Yuto, dropping the subject of her brother and her.
"Yusei and Rin were home when I came rushing in and saw me head to my room. They wanted to talk to me, but I told them that I wanted to be alone. They respected my wish and left me alone in my room. I stayed in my room for the whole afternoon, crying. I wasn't sure if I was gonna stop anytime, but then Yuya visited". Lulu continued to explain as she grew a heartfelt smile on her face, thinking back to when the son of her teacher came to visit and help her.
"Yusei had called him over, thinking that he could help me. Yuya came to my room and sat down next beside me. He didn't say anything, he just stared at me, watching as I cry before he wrapped his arms around me and brought me into a hug". The purple haired girl said as she placed her left hand on her chest, right where she could feel her beating heart.
"He didn't try to force me to stop crying or get rid of my sadness. He stayed quiet and hugged me, letting me let out my sorrows. He was okay with me crying, because he knew that crying was a part of being human. He comforted me, just like I did him once". The Mistress of Birds confessed to her ex-boyfriend, getting him to slowly widen his eyes in disbelief as he could feel the love Lulu had for Yuya in her voice.
"Eventually, I stopped crying, cheered up and thanked Yuya. I started asking Yuya questions about what Dueling was to him. 'Dueling is meant to bring people together, form new bonds with your opponents and to have fun. That is the Dueling I believe in'. Those were the words that Yuya said, telling me that's what he believed Dueling was meant for". The youngest Obsidian told Yuto as she lifted her hand from her chest.
"I then asked him if he'd change his view of Dueling if he ever saw someone using it to cause suffering. But, he said that no matter what happens, he'd never change his view of Dueling. He said that he'd keep believing that Dueling was meant to create new bonds between Duelists and create a new future. Those words are what stole my heart from me". Lulu revealed, before she looked at her ex-boyfriend and gave him an apologetic look.
"I'm sorry Yuto, but we're not getting back together. I'm in love with Yuya now. I've even started a relationship with him recently". The Lyrilusc Duelist apologized to her ex-boyfriend, trying to be as gentle as she could to let him off easy. Yuto was silent as he stared down at the ground for a few moments, before he looked up and gave a small smile to Lulu.
"I understand Lulu. I wish you happiness with Yuya". The Phantom Knight Duelist told his friend, making her apologetic look turn into a smile, happy that her ex-boyfriend has accepted her decision. "Thank you Yuto". Lulu thanked her friend for accepting her decision. She looked up at the snowing sky for a few moments, before she looked back at the Phantom Knight Duelist. "You and Shay are still welcome to live in our house, you know". The Lyrilusc Duelist told her friend, but Yuto just shook his head.
"Thank you, but my answer is still no. That house is your new home with your new family". Yuto replied to Lulu, who was quick to reply. "You and Shay are still family". The purple haired girl told her ex-boyfriend, making grow silent for a few moments, before he spoke. "Shay and I still need to be on the lookout for Duel Academy spies. Until this war is over, Shay and I can't rest easy". The Phantom Knight explained as he walked up to Lulu and placed his hands on her shoulders.
"You've been freed from the shackles of this war and even have a new life with Yusei and Rin. You've suffered enough already, both from Duel Academy and from Shay and I. You deserve to enjoy the new peace that Yusei's given you. Until the time comes to continue the battle against Duel Academy, just be happy". Yuto told his best friend's little sister, making her grow a look of concern on her face, before it changed to a face of determination.
"Okay, but know that when that day comes, I'll fight to create a peaceful future. One that even Duel Academy is a part of". Lulu told her comrade, who smiled even more as he lifted his hands off Lulu's shoulders. "You really have changed a lot. Merry Christmas Lulu". Yuto said to Lulu, making her grow a smile before she leaned forward and kissed Yuto on his left cheek.
The purple haired girl leaned back with Yuto placing his left hand on the cheek that Lulu kissed, but with no signs of a blush. "Merry Christmas to you too, Yuto. And tell Shay I said 'Merry Christmas' to him as well". Lulu requested from her ex-boyfriend, who gave her a nod. "Don't worry, I'll pass that along". The Phantom Knight Duelist replied to the Mistress of Birds.
Lulu gave Yuto one last sweet smile, before she turned around and began walking out of the alleyway, leaving Yuto alone. The Phantom Knight Duelist looked down at the bag full of food that Lulu left, before he reached down and grabbed it. Yuto carried the bag on his back as he walked deeper into the alleyway to search for his best friend.
Meanwhile with Lulu, she walked out of the alleyway and back into the streets of Paradise City. "That took longer than expected, but it was worth it in the end". The Mistress of Birds stated with a smile, feeling lighter than she did this morning. Having that talk with her ex-boyfriend had lifted a heavy burden from her heart and she was glad that she was still friends with Yuto.
"I should probably head back home now. If I take another half an hour, Rin will probably think something happen and will probably massacre the whole city to find me". Lulu joked with an amused smile on her face as she walked back to the traffic street. Once she was at the traffic lights, the purple haired female pressed the button and waited with her hands clasped behind her back. After a few seconds of waiting, the light changed from red to green, allowing Lulu to walk across the street with the cars stopping.
Once she reached the other side of the street, Lulu turned right and began walking back to her house, but then she heard a familiar voice behind close by. "Lulu?" A familiar voice said, getting Lulu to look over her right shoulder to see her boyfriend Yuya walking up to her. Yuya was wearing his new outfit that he replaced his old one with. It considered of a silvery white high sleeve and high collar jacket over a red shirt, silvery white fingerless gloves, black track pants and boots.
"Oh, hi Yuya". Lulu greeted her boyfriend as she walked towards her approaching boyfriend. Once they were close enough, both teenagers wrapped their arms around each other. Lulu wrapped her arms around Yuya's shoulders, while he wrapped his arms around her waist. "Merry Christmas sweetheart". The purple haired girl said to her boyfriend, before she leaned forward and kissed Yuya on the lips.
Both teenagers closed their eyes in pleasure as they continued their kiss for a few seconds, before Lulu pulled away and looked into Yuya's eyes. "What are you doing out here on Christmas Eve?" The Mistress of Birds questioned her boyfriend, keeping her arms wrapped around his neck as she felt no need to move them.
"I came out here to take a walk and think about a few things". The tomato haired boy replied to Lulu, getting her to look a bit concern. "About the Dimension War?" The purple haired girl questioned as she rearranged her hands so that they were on Yuya's shoulders. "Yup, that and about Z-arc, Ray and the fact that Yusei is actually from another world". Yuya answered his girlfriend as he lifted his right hand from her waist and laid it against Lulu's left cheek.
Lulu placed her left hand over Yuya's hand and leaned into his touch with a small, but loving smile on her face with her eyes full of tenderness. "…Doesn't it every bother you that I'm from another world?" Lulu asked her boyfriend, who shook his head in response. "I don't care if you're from another world, or dimension. You're the girl I fell in love with and nothing with ever change that". The student of the Shooting Star of Satellite replied to his girlfriend, touching her heart from his words.
"And you're the boy I fell in love with". Lulu told Yuya, before she leaned forward again and kissed Yuya on the lips, who returned the kiss. The kiss was a bit longer than the last one, but eventually Lulu pulled away and looked into her boyfriend's eyes. "I answered your question, so how about answering mine? What are you doing out here?" The tomato haired boy questioned his girlfriend as he returned his right hand to Lulu's waist, curious on what she's doing out here alone.
"I came here shopping with Rin and Akiza to do some last minute shopping. Rin and Akiza went home while I took care of something… personal". Lulu explained to her boyfriend as she placed her left hand on Yuya's shoulder, telling him why she's alone in the middle of the streets. "I see. How about I walk you home then?" The tomato haired boy offered to the purple haired girl, getting her to smile.
"I'd love that". Lulu replied to her boyfriend, before she lifted her hands off Yuya's shoulders while he took his hands off her waist. The purple haired teenage girl then went to Yuya's left and wrapped her right arm around his left arm, making the tomato haired boy smile at Lulu. The two teenagers began walking off to Lulu's home, taking their time to enjoy their time together.
"How's everyone else? Are we still getting together tomorrow at You Show?" Lulu questioned her boyfriend, turning to look at Yuya. "You bet. Principal talked with everyone and they told him that they'd be able to make it tomorrow". Yuya answered his girlfriend as they passed through a corner. "I'm glad to hear that". The Mistress of Birds said with a smile, before it fell as she thought about one particular person.
"How's Zuzu doing by the way?" Lulu asked her boyfriend, wondering how the pink haired girl is doing. "She's alright. She's helping the principal get things ready at You Show for tomorrow". Yuya replied to the purple haired female, telling her about Zuzu and what she's doing. "That's… good to hear. But I meant how she's doing with us in a relationship". Lulu explained what she meant for Yuya to better understand what she meant.
"Oh, that? She's accepted the reality that we've a couple and is happy for us". Yuya told his girlfriend, telling her that Zuzu is happy for them. Lulu grew a small smile on her face as she leaned her head against her boyfriend's shoulder. "I'm glad to hear that". The Mistress of Birds stated, happy that Zuzu was happy for them.
"So am I". The tomato haired boy said, before he looked up at the sky. "It's kinda hard to believe that Zuzu used to hate being around you and Yusei". The Dueltainer said out loud, getting Lulu to chuckle as she thought back to a few weeks ago. "You can say that again. I only wish that Zuzu and I got along much sooner". Lulu said as her amused expression changed to a sad look, getting Yuya to look at her in concern.
"When I first heard that Ray was split into four pieces and that I was one of them, I hoped that all four of us could be friends. Eventually that desire changed to wanting to be sisters after Rin and I became sisters. Zuzu and I still have some bond building to do before our relationship is like that of sisters". The Mistress of Birds explained to her boyfriend, telling him of one of her most important desires.
"I'm sure you and Zuzu will eventually become sisters, just like you wanted". Yuya said to his girlfriend in hopes to cheer her up. Then, the tomato haired boy had a thoughtful look on his face as he realized something. "Wait, you said four pieces, right? There's you, Zuzu and Rin. Won't that mean that there's one last girl with the same face as you?" The student of the Shooting Star of Satellite questioned, getting the Mistress of Birds to look up at her boyfriend's face with a small smile.
"There is. Ray's fusion piece". Lulu answered, before she turned to look away with an uncertain look on her face. "Although I'm not really certain she's a good person". The Mistress of Birds added, getting the tomato haired boy curious on what she meant. "What makes you say that?" Yuya questioned, curious on why his girlfriend thought of that.
"She's from the Fusion Dimension, the dimension that Leo Akaba rules over and started the Dimensional War. I'm not very confident that she'll be a good person". Lulu replied to her boyfriend, explaining why she has doubts about her counterpart from the Fusion Dimension. "I see what you mean, but you should at least give her a chance if you ever meet her. You said it yourself that not everyone from the Fusion Dimension was evil". Yuya told his girlfriend with a grin on his face, getting Lulu to look at him.
"Besides, there's no way someone with the same beautiful face as yours could be bad". The tomato haired male joked, making Lulu giggle in amusement. "Guess I'll have to find out when I meet her someday". The Mistress of Birds stated, before she gave Yuya a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks for cheering me up". Lulu thanked her boyfriend, who gave her a wink.
Both boyfriend and girlfriend continued walking to Lulu's house for the next 10 minutes before eventually, they arrived and saw Christmas lights all around the house. "Wow. I'm impressed that dad got this all done with just Leo and Kalin in under an hour". Lulu said in an impressed tone as she looked at all the lights all over the house.
"Actually, Yusei and Leo did all this themselves". A familiar voice correct the Mistress of Birds, getting Lulu and Yuya to look left to see Kalin walking up to them. Unlike the others, the leader of the disbanded Enforcers didn't add anything to his outfit, keeping it the way it is. "Oh, hello uncle Kalin". Lulu greeted the Infernity Duelist with a smile as she and Yuya turned to face the adult, making Kalin sigh as he stopped in front of the two teenagers.
"That's still gonna take some getting used to". Kalin stated, before he gave a smile to Lulu. "Anyway, hey kiddo. How was your shopping trip with Akiza and Rin?" The adult male questioned his 'niece', before he looked at Yuya, who was looking at him with wide eyes. The former Dark Signer looked Yuya up and down, sizing him up before he looked back at Lulu. "Who's this?" Kalin questioned Lulu, this being his first time meeting Yuya.
Lulu looked at Yuya for a moment, before she looked back at Kalin with a smile. "This is my boyfriend, Yuya". The Mistress of Birds introduced her 'uncle' to her boyfriend, getting Kalin to slightly widen his eyes, before looking back at the tomato haired boy. 'So this is Yusei's student and one of the pieces of Z-arc'. The former Dark Signer thought to himself, now knowing who this boy is.
Lulu turned to look at her boyfriend, who looked at her with a confused look. "Yuya, this is Kalin, an old friend of my dad, thus making him my uncle". The Mistress of Birds introduced her boyfriend to the leader of the disbanded Enforcers, making Yuya widen his eyes in realization as he quickly turn to look at Kalin. "Now I know where I heard your name before! Yusei told me about you!" Yuya exclaimed in surprise, getting the former Dark Signer to raise an eyebrow at him in curiosity.
"And what did Yusei tell you about me?" The Infernity Duelist asked with a curious look, wondering what his old friend told his student about him. "He told me that you guys used to be part of a team with you the leader. He said your team's name was 'The Enforcers' and that you guys took down lots of Duel gangs". Yuya answered Kalin, telling him what his teacher told him about the Infernity Duelist.
Kalin sighed in relief with his eyes closed, relived that Yusei didn't tell his student that he used to be a Dark Signer, or that he killed a Sector Security Officer. "He also said that you were the strongest Duelist of the team, even stronger than Yusei". The tomato haired boy added, getting Kalin to open his eyes, before he gave a grin to the 14-year-old and patted his head with his right hand.
"That was a long time ago, kiddo. Yusei's a much better Duelist than I am now". The Infernity Duelist told the student of his friend, retracting his hand. "But still, to hear that someone used to be better than Yusei is surprising to hear. I've kinda wanted to Duel you ever since I heard about you from Yusei". Yuya said to the older male, getting him to chuckle a bit as he crossed his arms. "Just name the time and place, and you got yourself a Duel". Kalin told the 14-year-old boy, making Yuya grow an excited grin on his face.
Lulu watched the two with a smile, before she looked at her boyfriend. "You could stay for a bit Yuya. I'm sure Yusei and the others wouldn't mind". Lulu offered to her boyfriend, liking it if Yuya would stay for a bit. Unfortunately, Yuya shook his head as he gave her an apologetic look. "Not this time Lulu. I still gotta help mom get the house ready for tomorrow". The tomato haired boy replied to his girlfriend, although he wished he could spend more time with Lulu.
Lulu's face fell at hearing this for a few seconds, before she gave Yuya a teasing grin. "Is it that, or are you just scared of Rin bashing your head in again?" The Mistress of Birds questioned her boyfriend, before she began giggling when Yuya grew a look of dread on his face as he could already imagine another one of Rin's 'techniques' of pain. "N-no way! It's nothing like that, I assure you!" Yuya exclaimed, before he looked left and right in alarm as if Rin would come out of nowhere and bring the pain to him.
Kalin watched the two teenagers in amusement, before he began to walk toward the house's front door. "Take your time you two. I'll just be inside if you need me". The Infernity Duelist told the two teenagers as he waved his right hand in the air, before he opened the house's door and walked inside, leaving the two teenagers outside.
Lulu turned to look at her boyfriend, before she placed her hands on Yuya's cheeks and held his face. "I'll see you tomorrow Yuya. Love you". The Mistress of Birds said to her boyfriend as she leaned forward and claimed his lips in a loving kiss with her eyes closed. Yuya closed his eyes as he returned the kiss and wrapped his arms around her back and pressed her forward to him.
A minute after lip locking, Yuya and Lulu broke their kiss and leaned back to look into each other's eyes. "Love you too Lulu". Yuya replied to his girlfriend, before both teenagers let go of each other and stepped away. The Performapal Duelist turned around and began walking away to head back home. Lulu watched her boyfriend walk until he soon left her sights. The purple haired girl sighed dreamingly as she laid her right hand's index and middle fingers on her lips as she remembered the taste of Yuya's lips.
'What did I ever do to deserve someone like Yuya?' The Mistress of Birds said in her mind, before she turned around and walked up to the front door. She twisted the handle and opened the door, before she walked inside, making sure to close the door. "There you are". A familiar voice said, getting Lulu to look up to see Rin walking down the staircase with her scarf off. "I was just about to head out to find you". The green haired girl added as she walked up to her sister and gave her a hug, one that Lulu happily returned.
After a few seconds, Rin broke the hug and faced Lulu. "So how'd it go with Yuto?" The female Turbo Duelist questioned her sister as they passed through the living room where Leo was sitting down on the couch, looking through his deck and thinking up new combos.
"It went well. I made it clear to him that we weren't getting back together and he accepted my decision". The purple haired girl began, telling her sister what happened to her after she and Akiza left her to confront Yuto. "After we finished our conversation, I left to come back home. But I ran into Yuya". Lulu continued to explain, making Rin narrow her eyes in suspicion.
"How many times did he lay his hands on you and kissed you?" The Witch of the Wind questioned her sister, making Lulu sigh in annoyance with her eyes closed. "Rin. We're both 14-years-old, old enough to kiss and wrap our hands around each other". The Mistress of Birds told her sister, before she opened her eyes and gave Rin a smile. "But I know you're just being protective". Lulu said to her sister, touched that Rin was just looking out for her.
"What can I say? I'm just doing my job as your sister". Rin stated, before she looked over her left shoulder with a playful evil grin on her face. "So, where's your boy toy? I've got a new move to test out and he'd be the perfect guy to test it out on". Rin said with a grin as she slammed her right fist into her left open hand.
"Don't you think you're being a bit too hard on him? He's not a walking, talking punching bag". The purple haired girl told the green haired girl with a displeased tone and look, getting Rin to look at her with her hands down. "I know that, I'm just showing some tough love my way. Besides, Yuya has no problem with how I treat him. It's just the way I am". The Witch of Wind replied to her sister with a carefree smile on her face, making Lulu sigh a bit.
"Okay, but please be a bit gentler with him". Lulu requested from her sister, who gave her a wink. "So long as he keeps his hands where they should be when he's with you, I'll go easy on him". The female Turbo Duelist replied to her sister with a wink, before she stopped at the garage door. "Hey Yusei! Lulu's back!" Rin called out as she pushed the door right open, with Lulu looking over her right shoulder.
The purple haired girl saw their adoptive father sitting down on a chair in front of the table in the garage, working on a computer with wires attached from it to Leo's Duel Board that was leaning against the wall nearby. The Shooting Star of Satellite ceased, before he turned to see his daughters at the door. "There you are Lulu. I was starting to get worried". Yusei said with a smile, glad to see his daughter home safe and sound.
Lulu grew a nervous look on her face as she looked down at the ground in a bit of shame. "Sorry I worried you". The Mistress of Birds apologized to her adopted father, but he gave her an understanding smile. "It's okay Lulu. Akiza and Rin told me what happened. I'm proud of you for settling things straight between you and Yuto". The 19-year-old told his daughter, making Lulu smile brightly at his words.
"What are you doing in here anyways dad?" Rin questioned the Shooting Star of Satellite, who just gave her a smile. "That's a secret". Yusei answered Rin, making her pount at him in unfairness. "I should be done in an hour or so. Why not take this chance to have a friendly Duel?" Yusei suggested to his daughters, thinking they could take this chance to have a friendly Duel.
Lulu and Rin turned to look at each other as they thought about their father's suggestion, before they both grew excited smiles on their faces. "Why not. You can't have Christmas without a Christmas Duel". Lulu said with an excited smile, thinking that having a Duel on Christmas would be wonderful. "You made that 'Christmas Duel' up". Rin pointed out, but like her sister, she had an excited smile on her face.
Yusei chuckled in amusement as he could hear the excitement in their voices. "Go on and have some fun you two. Just make sure you don't break something". The Shooting Star of Satellite told his two daughters, making them laugh in amusement as Rin closed the door. The two girls rushed upstairs to their rooms to get their Duel Disks and decks for their Duel.
Two minutes later, the two sisters were back downstairs, walking through the hallway, heading to the backyard with their Duel Disks on their left forearms. Despite having the option of getting new Duel Disks here in the Standard Dimension, Lulu and Rin decided to keep the Fusion Dimension Duel Disks that Yusho gave them to remember their friends in the Fusion Dimension.
"What's the score between us again?" Lulu questioned her sister, both females looking through their decks one last time before their Duel. "We both have 10 wins and losses". Rin instantly answered her sister, her eyes clued to her cards with both teenage girls passing through the living room, where Leo was still looking through his deck.
"Guess this'll be the tie breaker". Lulu said as she grew a grin on her face, before she took her deck into her right hand and slotted it into her Duel Disk. Rin smirked as she slotted her deck into her Duel Disk. "And it'll be my victory". The Turbo Duelist said with a confident smirk, getting Lulu to look at her sister. "Don't count your chickens until they hatch". The Mistress of Birds told the Witch of the Wind as the two sisters walked into the kitchen.
Lulu and Rin saw Akiza at the island bench top, slicing a big piece of ham with a sharp knife in her right hand. She had taken her gloves off and had a pink apron on. She was intensely focused on her task, but still managed to see Lulu and Rin enter. "There you two are. I was wondering what you two were up to". The female Signer said with a smile as she placed five slices of ham in a plastic container.
"Lulu just got here a few minute ago. After having a talk with Yusei, we decided to have a Christmas Duel". Rin explained to Akiza, her eyes wondering to the ham that the older female was slicing up. "Where'd you get that ham?" Lulu questioned in curiosity, wondering when Akiza bought the ham.
"I bought this ham earlier today when we were out shopping. You can't have Christmas without ham after all". The female Signer answered, her eyes focused on the ham so that she doesn't accidently cut something of hers off. "Do you need some help with that?" The Mistress of Birds asked in slight concern, worried that Akiza could cut herself.
The former Black Rose Witch gave the purple haired girl a reassuring smile as she twirled the knife around her right hand like a pro. "Don't worry; this is a walk in the park for me. My mom taught me how to handle a knife and to slice up ham". Akiza told the teenage girl with a smile, before she stopped spinning the knight and grabbed its handle, much to the two teenage girls' surprise. "You two go and enjoy yourself". The female Signer told the two as she went back to slicing the ham.
"Well, if you insist". Rin said as she walked up to the bifold door and opened it. The Witch of Wind turned around to look at her sister and saw that she was watching Akiza slicing the ham with awe. Akiza took notice of Lulu's staring and became curious. "Is something the matter Lulu?" The female Signer asked the 14-year-old girl, but Lulu shook her head. "No, it's just that I'm really impressed with your skills". Lulu told the older female, taking a moment to look at the perfectly sliced pieces of harm before looking up at the older female.
"Later, could you teach me how to slice ham just like that?" Lulu asked the female Signer, making Akiza slightly widen her eyes in surprise before she gave the young female a motherly smile. "Sure, I don't have a problem with that". Akiza answered, getting Lulu to smile brightly at hearing her response. "Thanks mo- Akiza". The Mistress of Birds thanked the female Signer, having wide eyes at what she almost called Akiza.
Like Lulu, Akiza had wide eyes as she figured out what Lulu was about to call her. Acting quickly, Lulu pushed Rin out of the bifold door and followed her outside, leaving the female Signer alone in the kitchen, staring at where she last saw the two girls before she went back to slicing the ham.
Once they were outside the house, Lulu stopped pushing Rin who turned around to face her sister with narrowed eyes and her hands on her hips. "You were about to call Akiza mom, weren't you?" Rin questioned, though it sounded more like a statement than a question. Lulu was silent for a few seconds, before she nodded to Rin, not denying her suspicions.
"It's… it's just like with Yusei. She just feels like a mom to me with how caring, loving and supportive she is to us". The Mistress of Birds explained to her sister, explaining how she sees Akiza as her mother. "You're right about it being just like with Yusei. To be honest, she feels like a mom to me as well". Rin revealed to her sister, getting Lulu to slightly widen her eyes in surprise, before she softened her gaze.
"So we both see Akiza as our mother. But what about her? Does she consider us her daughters?" The Mistress of Birds questioned as she turned around to look through the big glass window to look at Akiza as she continued to slice away the ham. "Don't know. Guess we'll have to find out later". The Witch of the Wind said to her sister, looking through the big glass window to look at Akiza.
Rin then turned to look at Lulu with a grin on her face. "Although, calling Akiza mom is much easier than calling Serenity mom, consider she's just 2 years older". Rin joked before she began giggling, making Lulu giggle as well. The two sisters continued giggling for a moment, before they finished. "Come on. Let's go have our Duel". The Witch of the Wind said as she turned around and began walking to the staircase, looking down at her reflection in the pool.
Lulu quickly followed her sister, walking behind the female Turbo Duelist. "Now that I think about, where's Kalin?" Lulu questioned her sister, getting Rin to stop walking and look at the purple haired female over her left shoulder. Before Rin could have the chance to answer, someone else beat her to it. "Over here". A familiar voice answered, getting the two girls to look right to see on the other side of the frameless fence was Kalin, sitting down on the couch in the indoor/outdoor lounge area that had bifold glass doors that opened into the pool area.
"I've been out here for the last 3 minutes and just heard everything you guys said". Kalin said as he grew an amused smirk on his face at seeing the two girls blushed red in embarrassment. "Well this is embarrassing". Lulu stated, looking down in embarrassment that Kalin heard her private discussion with Rin. "You can say that again". Rin stated, turning around so that Lulu and Kalin wouldn't see her blushing in embarrassment.
Kalin chuckled in amusement as his smirk changed into a gentle smile. "But don't worry you two. My lips are sealed". The former Dark Signer promised the two teenage girls, his right hand moving over his lips as if he was zipping something up. Lulu and Rin sighed in relief with the green haired girl turning around to face Kalin. "Thank you uncle Kalin". The Mistress of Birds thanked the Infernity Duelist, bowing her head a bit in gratitude.
"What are you even doing out here?" Rin questioned Kalin, wondering why he's outside and not inside. "I'm just enjoying the nice cold breeze outside the house. I'm used to being outside from spending time in Satisfaction Town. I gotta admit though, it's nice to feel cold air instead of hot air". The former Dark Signer answered the green haired female, holding his right hand out as a snowflake fell to his hand. "Not to mention, it's nice to see snow". The light blue hair man added as he rubbed his thumb against the snowflake, feeling how soft and cold it was.
"Is this your first time seeing snow?" Lulu questioned in curiosity, getting Kalin to look at the young girl. "Not exactly. There was snow in the Satellite, but not much of it. Not enough to play in it". The Infernity Duelist replied to the teenage girl, getting her to look sad that he was denied the chance to play in the snow, something that Kalin took notice of.
"Don't get sad on me Lulu. Things weren't easy back in my childhood, but at least now I can enjoy the snow". Kalin told Lulu, giving her a small comforting smile that cheered the purple haired girl a bit. "Now go have fun you two. It won't be long before the battle against Duel Academy continues, so take as many chances as you can to have fun". The leader of the disbanded Enforcers told the two girls, getting them to eagerly nod to him, before they ran down the staircase to the backyard.
The two sisters stood 10 feet away from each other, both having confident smiles on their faces as the snow continued to fall from the sky. "Hope you're ready Lulu, for another butt whooping!" Rin called out as she swiped her left arm into the air as her Duel Disk activated with the blade activating as well. "We'll see who gets the butt whooping!" Lulu retaliated as she swiped her left arm into the air as her Duel Disk activated with the blade activating as well. Both girls' decks shuffled for a few moments before stopping. "Game on!" Lulu and Rin called out as they drew their starting hand from their decks.

"I hope you don't mind, but I'll be taking the first move!" Rin called out as she picked a card from the five cards in her left hand and held it up. It was a Spell card with the image showing a magical forest with Windwitch monsters flying around the forest on their brooms with happy smiles. "To start off, I'll activate the Field Spell Windwitch - Magical Forest!" The green haired girl called out, before she slotted the card into her Duel Disk.
(Windwitch - Magical Forest/ Type: Field Spell/ Effect: All Windwitch Monsters you control gains 300 ATK Points. If you Special Summon a Windwitch Monster to your field, you can select one Windwitch Monster in your deck with the same Level as that Summoned monster and add it to your hand)
A magical forest appeared around the two girls, getting Lulu to look left and right at her surroundings. "This Field Spell has two effects! One of them is giving all my Windwitch monsters 300 extra ATK Points!" Rin began explaining her Field Spell's effect, getting Lulu's attention as she looked at her sister. "You'll learn what its second is later. Now, I Special Summon Windwitch – Black Ice Bell!" The Witch of the Wind called out as she placed a card on her blade.
A Windwitch appeared, riding on her black broom. Black Ice Bell looked exactly like Ice Bell, only her hair, outfit, wand, broom were all black and had blue eyes. Black Ice Bell gave a wink as she flew around on her broom.

Windwitch – Black Ice Bell ATK Points: 1300 + 300 = 1600.
"I can Special Summon this card if I control no monsters, then you take 500 points of damage!" Rin explained her monster's special ability with a smirk on her face. Black Ice Bell turned to look at Lulu, before she held out her wand and fired a black laser at the Mistress of Birds, striking her and making her wince.
Lulu Life Points: 4000 – 500 = 3500.
"Now Magical Forest's second effect activates!" The Witch of the Wind called out, watching Black Ice Bell create a black aurora as she flew around on her broom. The tress around the two Duelists began glowing lightly, getting Lulu to look around in wonder. "When a Windwitch monster is Special Summoned, I can select another Windwitch in my deck with the same level and add it to my hand!" Rin explained her Field Spell's effect, taking her deck out and held it with her right hand as she searched through it.
Rin took one card from her deck with her left hand before she returned it to her Duel Disk, which shuffled the deck. "I choose to add my Windwitch – Freeze Bell to my hand!" Rin declared as she showed the card to Lulu, holding it with her right hand's index and middle fingers.
"Now if all monsters I control are Windwitch monsters, I can Special Summon Windwitch – Freeze Bell!" Rin explained as she swiped her card onto her blade. From deep within the magical forest, Windwitch – Freeze Bell came out, riding atop her broom with a small smile on her face.

"Now just like before with Black Ice Bell, Magical Forest lets me add a Windwitch with the same Level as Freeze Bell!" The green haired girl reminded her sister as she took her deck out of her Duel Disk and started searching through it. After 10 seconds of searching, Rin took a card from her deck with her left hand, before she returned her deck to the Duel Disk with her right hand.
Rin held up the card, showing that it was a Pendulum Monster. "I think I'll go with my Windwitch – Stained Glass Bell!" Rin revealed her monster's name as the image of her card showed a monster that looked similar to Windwitch – Snow Bell, only it was attached to a stained glass window that showed a blizzard instead of a sphere and it was light purple.

Rin placed her Pendulum card in her hand with her other three cards, before she took another one and held it up between her right hand's index and middle fingers. "Since I control two Windwitch monsters, Windwitch – Snow Bell can now join the party!" The Witch of the Wind explained, before she swiped the card onto the blade. A portal appeared between Black Ice Bell and Freeze Bell, before Windwitch – Snow Bell flew out of it.

"A Tuner monster!" Lulu exclaimed with wide eyes, knowing exactly what Snow Bell was. "Yup, that's right. But first things first, my Field Spell's effect!" Rin called out, holding up her right hand as the magical trees around them glowed once more. Unlike the last few times, a card slotted out of Rin's deck and she took hold of it with her right hand and held it between her index, middle and ring fingers. "Say hi to Windwitch – Glazed Bell!" The Witch of the Wind revealed her choice as she showed the card to Lulu.
It was another Pendulum card like Stained Glass Bell. The image showed a female humanoid child riding atop a pink broom through a forest. She had pink long hair, hazel eyes and light skin. She wore a pink cloak cape, a light blue shirt and shorts, pink fingerless gloves and boots. Finally in her left hand was a pink wand.

Rin held Windwitch – Glazed Bell's card with her right hand's index and middle fingers, before she grabbed another card. The Witch of the Wind then held up the two cards, revealing the second one to be Windwitch – Stained Glass Bell. "Now, I'll set the Pendulum Scale with Scale 0 Windwitch – Glazed Bell and Scale 5 Windwitch – Stained Glass Bell!" Rin called out as she held the cards out to the far side.
"Alright ladies, it's showtime!" The Witch of the Wind exclaimed as she placed her two cards at the Pendulum Zones, causing the word 'Pendulum' to appear on the blade in rainbow colors. Two pillars of light appeared beside Rin as Windwitch – Glazed Bell raised up within the left one and Windwitch – Stained Glass Bell in the right one. The number '0' appeared under Glazed Bell, while '5' appeared underneath Stained Glass Bell in glowing colors.

"With these, I can Pendulum Summon monsters that are Level 1 to 5 at the same time, but I won't need that at the moment. Now I activate Freeze Bell's special ability!" Rin called out as she held up her right hand. Freeze Bell began glowing icy blue, still riding atop her broom. "Once a turn, I can increase Freeze Bell's Level by 1!" The green haired female explained her monster's special ability as Freeze Bell's Level increased.
Windwitch – Freeze Bell Level: 3 + 1 = 4.
"Oh terrific. A Level 3, 4 and 1 monster, and together they make a Level 8". Lulu commented with narrowed eyes, calculating what the three monsters' combined Levels would make. "And I think it's obvious what's coming up next. Level 1 Windwitch – Snow Bell tunes Level 3 Windwitch – Black Ice Bell and 4 Windwitch – Freeze Bell!" The Witch of the Wind cried out to the heavens as Black Ice Vell and Freeze Bell flew into the sky on the brooms, while Snow Bell transformed into a single green ring.
The green ring flew after Black Ice Bell and Freeze Bell, before it circled around them. The ring appeared to be scanning the two witches as they turned transparent, before turning into 4 and 3 lights separately. The lights lined up within the green ring, before a bright beam appeared and absorbed the lights and rings. "I Synchro Summon Windwitch – Diamond Bell!" Rin cried out to the heavens with a wide smile on her face as Windwitch – Diamond Bell flew out of the portal and into the snowy sky.

"At this moment, both Diamond Bell and Stained Glass Bell's effects activate!" The green haired female called out as Stained Glass Bell fired three snowflakes from its stained glass window at Diamond Bell. The three snowflakes glowed white as they floated around the Synchro Monster, coating her in a white light. "Whenever a WIND Attribute or Spellcaster-Type monster is Synchro Summoned, I can place a counter on it for each Synchro Material used to Summon it. Since three monsters were used to Synchro Summon Diamond Bell, that's three counters!" Rin explained her Pendulum Monster's Pendulum Effect.

"And here's the best part. For every counter, that monster gains 400 ATK Points!" The Witch of the Wind continued to explain as she held up her right hand and held up her index, middle and ring fingers. "400 x 3 equals a total of 1200 ATK Points!" Rin calculated as Diamond Bell gave out a cry as she powered up.

"Okay, I have to admit that's impressive. The first turn and you've already pulled out a monster with over 4000 ATK Points. Not bad". Lulu praised her sister with an impressed smile on her face, getting Rin to give her a confident smirk. "Oh, I'm not done yet! Now Diamond Bell's special ability activates!" The green haired female called out as she swiped her right hand to the side.
"When she's Synchro Summoned, I can target one Windwitch monster in my graveyard and you take damage equal to half its ATK Points!" Rin explained her Synchro Monster's special ability, before she held up her left arm. "And I choose Freeze Bell who has a total of 1200 ATK Points! Here comes 600 points of damage!" The Witch of the Wind declared as Freeze Bell appeared briefly in front of Diamond Bell, looking see through like a ghost before she disappeared with the Synchro Monster unleashing a pure white blizzard at Lulu, making her shiver from the cold.
Lulu Life Points: 3500 – 600 = 2900.
"I think I've done enough for now, go ahead and take your turn!" Rin told her sister, declaring her turn over.

Lulu held her hands in front of her face and blew on them, warming her hands up a bit before she looked at her sister with a smile. "I'm really impressed Rin. On your first turn, you Summoned a monster with 4300 ATK Points, reduced my Life Points to 2900 and set up a defense with Glazed Bell. Way to go". The Mistress of Birds praised her sister, getting Rin to blush a bit in embarrassment, before she grew a proud look as she placed her hands on her hips.
"I really am impressive, aren't I. Not anyone can create a formation like this". Rin stated, showing a bit of ego from Lulu's praise, making the purple haired girl sweat drop a bit with a nervous smile and her eyes closed. "But you've forgotten one thing". Lulu told Rin, getting the green haired female to lose her proud look and gave her sister a suspicious look.
"And what's thing?" The Witch of the Wind questioned in suspicion, wondering what it was that she forgot. Lulu's nervous smile turned into a confident smile as she opened her eyes to reveal them full of determination. "One of Yusei's lessons, that's what. 'No matter how great a formation is, there is no such thing as a perfect formation'. Let me show you, I draw!" Lulu cried out as she drew her card in a dramatic fashion with her right hand's index and middle fingers.
The Mistress of Birds flipped the card over to see what it was and smirked at seeing it. "I'll start things off with my Field Spell, Lyrilusc – Free Skies!" Lulu called out as she held the card out, before the Spell card appeared in front of her. The card's image showed a clear blue sky with many Lyrilusc monsters flying and singing.

The sky above the field turned into a clear blue sky, but snow still kept coming down. "With this Field Spell, all Lyrilusc Monsters gains 300 ATK Points!" The Mistress of Birds explained her Field Spell's effect, making Rin narrow her eyes before she held out her right hand. "Forget it! I activate Glazed Bell's Pendulum Effect!" Rin called out as the pink child Windwitch fired a pink beam from her wand towards the clear sky above, causing it to shatter and reveal the snowing sky.
"Once a turn if I control a WIND Attribute or Windwitch monster and you activate a monster effect, Spell or Trap card, I can negate and destroy it!" Rin explained her monster's Pendulum Effect with a smirk on her face, before it fell when she saw that Lulu still looked confident. The purple haired female took another card from her hand and held it out, revealing it was a Pendulum Monster.
"I Summon Lyrilusc – Navy Heron!" Lulu called out as she swiped the card onto the field. A portal appeared on the ground in front of Lulu, before her new monster flew out. It was a small 5-year-old girl with royal blue eyes and fair skin, wearing a navy heron outfit. Her talons were a bit longer than most Lyrilusc monsters, but it wasn't a problem.

"I activate Navy Heron's special ability! When she's Normal Summoned, I can add one Lyrilusc card from my graveyard to my hand!" The Mistress of Birds explained her Pendulum Monster's effect, getting Rin to widen her eyes in surprise. "But the only card in your graveyard is the card I just destroyed!" The green haired female exclaimed in surprise, which Lulu nodded to her as Lyrilusc – Free Skies' card slotted out of her Duel Disk.
"You guessed it. I get my Field Spell back". Lulu stated as she picked up her Field Spell with her right hand. "And once again, I'll activate it!" The purple haired female exclaimed as she swiped the card into her Duel Disk once more with the clear blue sky reappearing above the forest, but the snow kept coming down. Navy Heron cried out in joy as she flew up to the clear blue skies and began flying around in joy.
Lyrilusc – Navy Heron ATK Points: 400 + 300 = 700.
"Just like your Field Spell, mine gives Lyrilusc monsters 300 extra ATK Points". Lulu said with a confident smile, before she held out her right hand. "Now I activate Free Skies' second effect! Once a turn, I can select one Level 1 Lyrilusc monster in my deck and Special Summon it!" The purple haired female explained as a bright sunshine came out of the clear sky and shined down on Lulu's deck, making it glow.
A card slotted out of Lulu's deck and she took hold of it with her right hand's index and middle fingers. Lulu held the card out, allowing Rin to see that it was Lyrilusc - Cobalt Sparrow. "I choose Lyrilusc – Cobalt Sparrow!" The purple haired female called out as she placed the card on the blade. A portal appeared on the ground before Cobalt Sparrow flew out.

"Now Cobalt Sparrow's special ability activates! When she's Special Summoned, I can add another Lyrilusc – Cobalt Sparrow from my deck to my hand!" Luly explained her monster's special ability as another card slotted out of her deck and she took hold of it with her right hand's index, middle and ring fingers.
Lulu then took another card from the four cards she was holding with her left hand, before she held out her right hand, revealing Cobalt Sparrow and Sapphire Swallow's cards. "Now since I control a Lyrilusc monster, I can Special Summon both the Lyrilusc – Sapphire Swallow and the Lyrilusc - Cobalt Sparrow in my hand!" Lulu called out as two more portals appeared, before Cobalt Sparrow and Sapphire Swallow came out, flying besides their sisters.

"Here goes! I overlay the Level 1 Cobalt Sparrows, Level 1 Sapphire Swallow and Level 1 Navy Heron!" Lulu cried out to the heavens as she held up her right hand into the sky. The four Lyrilusc monsters turned into green bright lights that flew into the air. Appearing in front of Lulu was a black Xyz portal, which a powerful gust of wind that blew Lulu's hair in the breeze with the four lights diving into the portal.
"Fly high into the sky and sing to your heart's content! I Xyz Summon Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale!" Lulu chanted as her ace monster, Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale slowly floated out of the portal with four green overlay units circling around her. Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale sang a gentle song as she held out her wing filled hands.

"So Nightingale's joined the party now, huh? Bring it on". Rin said with a smirk, not the least bit worried about Nightingale. "You're gonna regret saying those words. Nightingale gains 100 ATK Points for each overlay unit she has and since she has 4, that's 400 ATK Points!" Lulu explained her favorite monster's ability as a light green aura surrounded Nightingale, powering her up.
Lyrilusc - Assembled Nightingale ATK Points: 300 + 400 = 700.
'700 ATK Points with the ability to attack four times. That'll leave me with 1200 Life Points, but she doesn't know that I've got an insurance policy'. Rin thought to herself with a smile as she looked at one of her cards in her hand. It was a Trap card called Windwitch – Unexpected Blizzard, with the image showing Winter Bell unexpectedly firing a blizzard storm at a surprised Clear Wing Synchro Dragon.
(Windwitch – Unexpected Blizzard/ Type: Trap/ Effect: When your opponent declares an attack, negate its attack and effects. If your opponent's monster declares a direct attack, you can activate this card from your hand and end the Battle Phase)
'My Unexpected Blizzard will stop Nightingale's attack, negate her effects and ends the Battle Phase. What's more, Nightingale will be open for a direct attack from Diamond Bell and I'll win the Duel'. The green haired girl thought to herself with a smile, looking at the two cards she was holding with her left hand before she looked at Lulu. 'Go on. Attack me and this Duel will be mine'. Rin thought to herself as her smile turned into a confident smile, making Lulu narrow her eyes.
'Something tells me that she's daring me to attack. I'll attack her, but not before giving my Nightingale a special gift'. Lulu thought to herself, growing a smile as she took another card from the four cards in her hand. "I activate the Equip Spell card, Silver Coated Wings!" The purple haired girl called out as she slotted a card into her Duel Disk. A Spell card appeared in front of Lulu with the image showing a pair of silver coated wings.

A silver light appeared on Nightingale's back, before it formed into silver coated wings that were attached to her back. "Now when Nightingale attacks, you can't activate cards or effects until the end of the damage step!" Lulu explained her Equip Spell's effect, making Rin widen her eyes as she looked at her two cards. 'No! Now I can't use Unexpected Blizzard!' Rin thought to herself in alarm, before she looked back at her sister.
"I'm sure you already know, but I'll explain it to you. Nightingale can attack up to the number of overlay units she has and the best part is that she can attack directly! Go Nightingale, attack Rin directly!" Lulu cried out as she thrust out her right hand. 'As you wish'. Nightingale cried out as she spread her wings and took flight into the air. The Xyz monster cried out as she waved her right wing hand, firing a gust of wind at Rin, making her wince as she was pushed back a bit.
Rin Life Points: 4000 – 700 = 3300.
"At this moment, Silver Coated Wing's second effect activates!" Lulu called out as Nightingale spread her silver wings, before she fired a silver feather at Windwitch – Glazed Bell. The feather pierced through Glazed Bell, making the female child cry out before she shattered, getting Rin to widen her eyes in surprise as she looked up as the pillar of light that surrounded Glazed Bell disappear.
"If the equipped monster deals battle damage to you, one of your cards are destroyed!" The purple haired girl explained her Equip Spell's effect, making Rin turn to look at her sister. "And I'm not done yet! Nightingale still has three more attacks! Take it away!" Lulu cried out as she swiped her right hand out to the side as Nightingale unleashed another gust of wind that pushed Rin back again.
Rin Life Points: 3300 – 700 = 2600.
"And now another card goes! Say goodbye to Stained Glass Bell!" The Mistress of Birds called out as Nightingale fired another silver father from her silver coated wings at Windwitch – Stained Glass Bell and destroyed the Pendulum Monster. "This isn't goodbye, just a temporal goodbye as destroyed Pendulum Monsters go to the Extra Deck!" Rin told her sister, holding up Windwitch – Stained Glass Bell's card with her right hand before she placed it inside the Extra Deck zone of her Duel Disk, where Windwitch – Glazed Bell's card was, face up.
"Well Stained Glass Bell isn't here at the moment to see another direct attack! Go!" Lulu called out, holding her right hand out as Nightingale fired another guest attack at Rin, making her wince from the strong winds.
Rin Life Points: 2600 – 700 = 1900.
"Now say 'goodbye' to your Magical Forest!" The Mistress of Birds exclaimed as Nightingale spread her wings out, before firing a barrage of silver feathers at all the trees around them. The feathers stroke the trees, before they shattered with the field returning to the backyard. "Nightingale, attack again with all your might!" Lulu told her ace monster, which the Xyz Monster nodded to her mistress. 'It'll be my pleasure Lulu'. Nightingale said as she waved both her hands, creating a more powerful guest of wind than her previous ones, pushing Rin back by 5 feet.
Rin Life Points: 1900 – 700 = 1200.
"Now kiss your Diamond Bell goodbye!" The Mistress of Birds exclaimed, holding out her right hand once more. Nightingale cried out, before firing a barrage of silver feathers from her wings at Windwitch – Diamond Bell, striking the Synchro Monster and causing her to explode. The explosion created a smokescreen, forcing Rin to cover her eyes with her right forearm.
"My Diamond Bell…" Rin whispered with narrowed eyes, but she did sound impressed with her sister's move. Lulu then took a card from the three cards in her hand and held it out, revealing that it was a Pendulum Monster. "I'll now place the Scale 9 Lyrilusc – Saving Cardinal in the Pendulum Zone!" Lulu declared as she placed the card in one of the Pendulum Zones of her Duel Disk.
A pillar of light appeared on Lulu's right side, before her new monster arise within it. Like most Lyrilusc monsters, it was a 5-year-old girl with pale skin and ruby eyes. Saving Cardinal wore a red cardinal bird out with talons for feet like all Lyrilusc monsters and red feathers on the back of her waist.

"My turn's now over, your move sis". Lulu declared her turn over, turning it over to Rin, who narrowed her eyes.

The green haired female added the card to her hand, before she took another card and held it out with her right hand. "Check this out, it's a Spell called Noble Banishment!" Rin called out before she slotted the card into her Duel Disk with the Spell appearing on the field. The image showed a shadowy monster disintegrating with three lights shooting out of its body.

Rin explained her Spell's effect as Windwitch – Diamond Bell's card slotted out of her Duel Disk. The green haired female picked the card up with her right hand and held it up. "As you already know, Diamond Bell is the only card that I can remove". Rin told her sister, before she turned the card over to look at it.
'Sorry about this Diamond Bell, but I'll make up for it'. Rin said in her mind, apologizing to her Synchro Monster. 'Apology accepted Rin, but you should know that I'm not out of this competition just yet'. A familiar voice told the Witch of the Wind, making Rin smile brightly at hearing that voice. 'I know, but I felt the need to apologize'. The Witch of the Wind said in her mind, before she placed Windwitch – Diamond Bell's card away in her deck box in her left back pocket.

"I add Windwitch – Black Ice Bell, Windwitch – Freeze Bell and Snow Bell back to my hand!" Rin called out as she added the three cards to her hand, before she grabbed one of them and held it up.
"If I control no monsters, I can Special Summon Windwitch – Black Ice Bell from my hand!" The Witch of the Wind called out as she swiped the card on her blade. A portal appeared next to Rin, before Black Ice Bell came out, riding atop her broom.

"And don't forget that when she's Summoned through her effect, you take 500 points of damage!" Rin reminded her sister, thrusting her right hand out as Black Ice Bell fired a black beam of ice from her wand at Lulu. Lulu gave a smile that showed no fear, before she held out her right hand. "I activate Saving Cardinal's Pendulum Effect!" Lulu called out as Saving Cardinal began waving her wing filled hands, throwing red feathers at the black beam of ice.
The black beam of ice continued to charge towards Lulu, but it began to glow red as it passed through the red feathers. "Saving Cardinal has the power to change your monster's effect damage effect so that instead of dealing me damage, it'll instead increase my Life Points!" The Mistress of Birds explained her Pendulum Monster's effect as the black beam of ice transformed into red sparkles that blew through Lulu, causing a red aura to appear briefly around her as her Life Points increased.

Lulu looked at her sister's two monsters, taking in every detail of the two monsters before she noticed something. Both Black Ice Bell and Freeze Bell had the same Level, making the Mistress of Birds narrow her eyes as she knew what's coming. "Here goes! I overlay my Level 3 Windwitch – Black Ice Bell and Windwitch – Freeze Bell and create the overlay network!" Rin called out as she threw her right hand into the air.
Both Black Ice Bell and Freeze Bell transformed into two bright green lights that descended into the air, flying around each other. A black galaxy like portal appeared in front of Rin, before the two bright lights flew inside of it, causing a bright light to appear. "I Xyz Summon Windwitch – Frontal Blizzard Bell!" Rin called out with a wide smile as a blizzard storm came out of the portal, before her new monster slowly began to arise from within it.
It was a monster similar to Snow Bell, only bigger, around the same size as Blizzard Bell. At the top was a silvery white female angel at the top with wings on its back with feathers falling, glowing silver eyes and had actual hands. The ornate white bell was silvery white with black lings across it and was more of a sphere with a frontal blizzard inside of it. Windwitch – Frontal Blizzard Bell gave out a cry as two green overlay units circled around her.

"I activate Windwitch – Frontal Blizzard Bell's special ability!" Rin called out, thrusting her right hand out as one of the green overlay units was absorbed into the chest of the silvery white angel at the top. "By using an overlay unit, I can return one of your monsters back to the deck!" The Witch of the Wind explained her Xyz Monster's effect, before Frontal Blizzard Bell unleashed a blizzard storm at Nightingale.
Nightingale gritted her teeth as she took the full force of the blizzard storm, before she slowly began to be incased in ice. Soon she was fully incased in ice, before she turned into blue sparkles that flew into Lulu's Duel Disk, who watched silently and with narrowed eyes as her Silver Coated Wings Spell card shattered. "Frontal Blizzard Bell's second effect would have dealt you 200 points of damage equal to the monster's Level, but since Nightingale didn't have a Level, you won't take any damage". Rin informed her sister with her eyes narrowed, before she grew a smirk.
"But now there's nothing stopping Frontal Blizzard Bell from attacking you directly! Go!" Rin exclaimed as she thrust her right hand out. Frontal Blizzard Bell gave out a cry, before she fired another blizzard storm at Lulu. The Mistress of Birds slightly gritted her teeth as she took the full force of the blizzard storm, which was blowing her hair in the breeze.
Lulu Life Points: 3400 – 2300 = 1100.
Frontal Blizzard Bell ceased her attack on Lulu, showing the purple haired girl slightly shivering. "I'll lay two face downs and end my turn here!" Rin declared her turn over, slotting in two cards into her Duel Disk with two face down cards appearing in front of her.

"Okay here goes, I draw!" Lulu cried out as she drew her card with her right hand, before she held it in front of her so that she could see it. Lulu smiled at what she drew, before she held the card out, revealing that it was a Spell card. "I activate the Spell card, Lyrilusc – Recovery!" Lulu called out as she slotted the Spell card into her Duel Disk. A Spell card appeared in front of Lulu with the image showing Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale tending to the injured forms of Lyrilusc – Cobalt Sparrow, Loving Owl and Navy Heron.

"Just as the name says, this Spell lets me recover up to three of my Lyrilusc monsters in my graveyard and add them to my hand!" Lulu explained her Spell card's effect as one of her Cobalt Sparrows, her Navy Heron and Sapphire Swallow's cards slotted out of her Duel Disk and she added them to her hand.
"I activate Free Skies' special ability! Once a turn I can Special Summon a Level 1 Lyrilusc monster from my deck! Come on out Lyrilusc – Onyx Woodpecker in ATK Mode!" The purple haired girl continued as a card slotted out of her deck, which she took hold of and held up with her right hand's index and middle finger, before placing it on the blade. Appearing was a little pale skin girl wearing an onyx colored woodpecker outfit with the beak of a woodpecker attached to the head of the outfit. Onyx Woodpecker let out a gentle song as she twirled around.

"Oh boy!" Rin exclaimed in alarm, knowing full well what Onyx Woodpecker's special ability is. "When Onyx Woodpecker is either Normal or Special Summoned, she can destroy a face down card you control and I select your face down card!" Lulu explained her monster's special ability, before Onyx Woodpecker flew towards one of Rin's face down cards. The Winged Beast monster began started pecking away at Rin's face down card, who just watched as she knew there was nothing she could do.
Before her face down was destroyed, it revealed itself to be Windwitch – Unexpected Blizzard. Seeing the Trap made Lulu grin, while Rin narrowed her eyes. Lulu held up two cards, revealing them to be Cobalt Sparrow and Sapphire Swallow's cards. "Now since I control a Lyrilusc monster, I can Special Summon both the Lyrilusc – Sapphire Swallow and the Lyrilusc - Cobalt Sparrow in my hand!" Lulu called out as two more portals appeared, before Cobalt Sparrow and Sapphire Swallow came out, flying besides their sister Onyx Woodpecker. The three Lyrilusc monsters began singing together under the clear sky.

Lulu smiled at her three Winged Beast monsters, before she looked at the three cards in her hand. She took hold of one of the cards, before she held out it out for Rin to see. "I activate the Spell Sacred Winds!" The purple haired female called out as she slotted the card into her Duel Disk, with the Spell appearing in front of her. The image showed a flock of birds flying near a rainbow.

"This Spell allows me to draw a card for each WIND Attribute monster I control! Since I control three WIND Attribute monsters, that's three cards to add to my hand!" Lulu explained her Spell's effect as her deck began glowing green. The Mistress of Birds then proceeded to draw three more cards from her deck with her right hand. Lulu held up her three new cards in front of her, before she smiled at seeing what they were.
"Alright". Lulu said with a smile as she added the three cards to her hand, before she took one of them and held it up. "Check this out; I play the Spell card Lyrilusc Fusion!" The Mistress of Birds called out, before she slotted the card into her Duel Disk. A Spell card appeared in front of Lulu with the image showing two Lyrilusc – Cobalt Sparrows flying into a purple swirling portal.

"As the name says, this fuses my Lyrilusc monsters to Fusion Summon a Lyrilusc Fusion Monster! I'll fuse my Onyx Woodpecker, Cobalt Sparrow and Sapphire Swallow!" The Mistress of Birds called out as she thrust her right hand into the air as a purple portal appeared in the sky above her. Lyrilusc – Onyx Woodpecker, Cobalt Sparrow and Sapphire Swallow all flew into the portal, causing a bright portal to appear within the portal.
"The three songstress birds of the sky now merge their powers into one and make way for a new Lyrilusc legend! I Fusion Summon! Fly high Lyrilusc – Avenging Hawk!" Lulu cried out to the heavens as her monster revealed itself. It was a humanoid female monster like Assembled Nightingale, but was different in many ways. Her slightly revealing outfit was based on a red hawk and her skin was fair. She had crimson eyes and long hair. Instead of wings for hands, she had crimson wings on her back and claws for hands. Her feet were talon like feet and she had a hawk like tail. Finally she had a beak attached to her headwear.

"I activate Avenging Hawk's special ability! This card gains 300 ATK Points for every Lyrilusc monster in my graveyard!" Lulu explained her Fusion Monster's special ability as Avenging Hawk was covered in a brown aura, before she spread her wings and took flight into the air. "Lulu has two Cobalt Sparrows, a Sapphire Swallow, Onyx Woodpecker and Nightingale. That's five monsters, so the total ATK Points that Avenging Hawk will get is… 1500!" Rin calculated with wide eyes, watching as Avenging Hawk's aura formed into a hawk above her, a sign of her increased power.
Lyrilusc – Avenging Hawk ATK Points: 1800 + 1500 = 3300.
"You're in trouble now, sis! Avenging Hawk, attack Windwitch – Frontal Blizzard Bell!" Lulu commanded with a wide smile on her face. Avenging Hawk gave out a hawk like cry as her energy hawk flew down towards Frontal Blizzard Bell. "Hold it! I play the Trap card, Windwitch – Bubble Illusion!" Rin called out as her face down card revealed itself. It was a Trap card with the image showing Windwitch – Ice Bell waving her wand around as she created bubbles.

"Oh come on!" Lulu exclaimed at seeing Rin's Trap card, making Rin smirk at her sister. "This Trap has two different effects! One of them is decreasing your monster's ATK Points by 1000! The other option is negating your attack! And I think I'll go with option number 2!" The Witch of the Wind explained her Trap card's effect, before bubbles came out of the card and floated towards the energy hawk.
Once the bubbles made contact with the energy hawk, they burst into bright lights that dispersed the energy hawk. Lulu slightly gritted her teeth at seeing this, before she looked down at the four cards in her hand. She took one of her cards and slotted it into her Duel Disk. "With this face down, my turn is over!" The Mistress of Birds declared her turn over as a face down card appeared on her field.

"Here goes! My turn!" Rin called out as she drew her card in a dramatic fashion, taking a moment to look at it before holding her right hand out, the card being held between her index and middle fingers. "I play Frontal Blizzard's special ability! By using an overlay unit, one of your cards is returning to the deck! Say 'goodbye' to Avenging Hawk!" Rin called out as Frontal Blizzard Bell absorbed her second overlay unit its angel's chest.
"Think again! I activate the Quick-Play Spell card, Lyrilusc – Gale Force Defense!" Lulu called out as her face down card revealed itself. It was a Quick-Play Spell card with the image showing Nightingale using the wind to form a barrier around herself, Cobalt Sparrow and Loving Owl.

"For the rest of this turn, Lyrilusc monsters I control are unaffected by your card effects and they cannot be destroyed in battle!" The Mistress of Birds explained her Quick-Play Spell's effect, before the wind formed a barrier around Avenging Hawk. Rin gritted her teeth in slight frustration, before she looked up at Saving Cardinal. "In that case, I'll target your Saving Cardinal!" The Witch of the Wind called out, before Frontal Blizzard Bell fired unleashed a blizzard storm at Saving Cardinal.
Saving Cardinal slowly began to be incased in ice, before she was fully incased in ice. She then turned into blue sparkles that flew into Lulu's deck, which shuffled for 3 seconds before stopping. "Since the card returned was a monster, you take 200 points of damage equal to its Level. Since Saving Cardinal was Level 1, that's 200 points". Rin explained to her sister, making Lulu narrow her eyes as her Life Points went down.

"Now I'll place a monster in face down DEF position…" The Witch of the Wind began as a face down card appeared in sideways position, before a shadowy caged monster emerged from it. "Then switch Frontal Blizzard Bell into DEF Mode!" She continued as Frontal Blizzard Bell took a defense position.

"Then I'll end my turn with a face down card!" Rin declared her turn over as a face down card appeared on her field.

"My turn now!" Lulu called out as she drew her card from her deck with her right hand, before she held it in front of her face to see what it was. "First I'll set a face down card…" Lulu began as she slotted the card she drew into her Duel Disk, before a face down card appeared in front of her. "Now I'll place a monster in face down DEF position…" The Mistress of Birds continued as a face down card appeared in sideways position, before a shadowy caged monster emerged from it.
"Then I'll activate Free Skies' effect!" Lulu called out as the clear sky of Free Skies let out a bright shine. "I can Special Summon a Level 1 Lyrilusc monster from my deck! And I'll go with Lyrilusc – Saving Cardinal!" The Mistress of Birds explained her Field Spell's effect as Saving Cardinal flew down from the sky, before taking a defense stance.

"Now Avenging Hawl, attack Windwitch – Frontal Blizzard Bell!" Lulu commanded with a wide smile on her face. Avenging Hawk gave out a hawk like cry as she created another energy hawk, which flew down towards Frontal Blizzard Bell. The energy hawk engulfed Frontal Blizzard Bell, before the Xyz Monster exploded.
"With that, my turn is over!" Lulu declared her turn over, having nothing left to do.

"I draw!" Rin called out as she drew her card in a dramatic fashion with her right hand's index and middle fingers. "I reveal the Trap card, Ice Wind's Refrain!" Rin called out as her face down card flipped itself up, revealing to be a Trap. "This card has two effects, but I'll only need one. I use its effect to Special Summon 1 'Windwitch' monster in my graveyard in DEF Mode! Come on back Windwitch – Diamond Bell!" The Witch of the Bird explained her Trap's effect. A blizzard storm came out of the Trap card, before Diamond Bell came out of it, taking a defense stance.

"Now I Flip Summon Windwitch – Snow Bell!" Rin called out as her sideways face down card flipped itself, revealing to be Snow Bell's card before the Tuner monster appeared.

Rin held up the card she drew earlier, taking a moment to look at it before she held it out. "Allow me to introduce you to the Spell card, Windwitch – Copy Magic!" Rin called out as she slotted the card into her Duel Disk with a Spell card appearing in front of her. The image showed Windwitch – Ice Bell waving her wand with Monster Reborn and Jar of Greed's cards in front of her wand.

"I'll make this simple. If I control a Windwitch, this card targets one of your Spell or Trap cards and copies its effect! And I think I'll go with Sacred Winds!" Rin explained her Spell card's effect, before Windwitch – Copy Magic's image was replaced with Sacred Winds' image. "Now with Sacred Winds' effect, I draw a card for every WIND Attribute monster I control! Since I have two WIND attribute monsters, that's two cards!" Rin exclaimed as she drew two more cards from her deck with her right hand.
"Come on, give me something I can work with". Rin whispered to herself as she held the two cards to her face, before she smiled at seeing one of them. "Now we're talking! Check this out, my Windwitch Fusion Spell card!" Rin cried out as she held the Spell card out with her index and middle fingers, while she held the other card with her ring and pinky fingers. The Spell card's image showed Windwitch – Winter Bell and Ice Bell flying into a green swirling portal with the shadow of Windwitch – Crystal Bell in the middle of the portal.

"With this, I'll fuse my Windwitch – Diamond Bell and Windwitch – Snow Bell!" The Witch of the Wind called out, holding her right hand up as a green swirling portal appeared in the sky above. Both Diamond Bell and Snow Bell flew into the swirling portal, causing a bright green light to appear from within it. "With these two, a new Windwitch will be born! I Fusion Summon! Windwitch – Freezing Bell!" The Witch of the Wind cried out as her new monster flew out of the swirling portal.
It was a female humanoid, but unlike most of the Windwitch monsters, it was a female adult. She had long silvery white hair, snow white skin and crystal blue eyes. Freezing Bell wore a navy cape, a crystal blue witch hat, a blue one-piece leotard with a snowflake pattern on her chest. She also wore blue knee-high boots and gloves, both with white ruffles at the top. She rode atop a crystal blue broom, but unlike her fellow Windwitches, she wielded a navy blue staff instead of a wand with a snowflake at the top.

"Freezing Bell's special ability activates! When she's Fusion Summoned, I can add a "Windwitch" card from my deck to my hand!" Rin explained her Fusion Monster's special ability, taking her deck out of her Duel Disk and began searching through it. Eventually, Rin found the card she wanted, making her smile as she grabbed the card and held it up with her right hand.
"I choose the Pendulum Monster Windwitch – Hoarfrost Bell!" Rin declared as she showed the card to Lulu, revealing that it was indeed a Pendulum Monster. The image showed a young female child with baby blue half braid hair, fair skin and green eyes. She wore an emerald long sleeve jacket with large rabbit ears over a blue shirt, a white long shirt and emerald boots.

Lulu narrowed her eyes, before she thrust out her right hand. "I activate the Trap card, Gift of The Mystical Elf!" Lulu called out as her face down card flipped itself up, while Rin returned her deck to her Duel Disk. "For every monster on the field, I gain 300 Life Points! There's four monsters, so that's a total of 1200 Life Points!" The Mistress of Birds explained her Trap card's effect. The Mystical Elf appeared from the Trap card, singing a soft song before she turned into sparkles that rained down on Lulu, increasing her Life Points.
Lulu Life Points: 900 + 1200 = 2100.
"Cleaver girl I'll admit. But don't relax just yet". Rin told her sister, adding her Pendulum card to her hand before she held out her right hand. "Freezing Bell, do your thing!" The Witch of the Wind exclaimed, thrusting her open right hand out into the air. Freezing Bell cried out as she spun her staff with her right hand, before she took hold of it and held it out towards Avenging Hawk, firing a blizzard storm from the snowflake.
The blizzard storm completely engulfed Avenging Hawk, covering her for a few seconds before clearing to reveal her incased in ice, getting Lulu to look at her monster in surprise. "Once a turn, Freezing Bell can negate the effects of my opponent's cards up to the Fusion Materials used to Fusion Summon her! In other words, your hawk's ATK Point boost is gone!" Rin explained her Fusion Monster's special ability to her sister, making Lulu grit her teeth as she watched Avenging Hawk's ATK Points go down.
Lyrilusc – Avenging Hawk ATK Points: 3300 – 1500 = 1800.
"Well that's just great". The purple haired female remarked, making her sister wink at her. "Now Freezing Bell, take it away!" The Witch of the Wind commanded her Fusion Monster, which Freezing Bell gave a wink before she fired an emerald laser from her staff at Avenging Hawk, creating an explosion on impact. (2700 – 1800 = 900)
Lulu Life Points: 2100 – 900 = 1200.
The explosion created a powerful gust of wind, forcing Lulu to cover her face with her left arm, before she brought her arm down and looked at her sister. "At this moment, I activate Lyrilusc Fusion from my graveyard!" The Mistress of Birds called out, before a black portal appeared in front of her with her Fusion card floating out of it.
"If a Lyrilusc Fusion Monster is destroyed by battle, I'm now allowed to Special Summon 1 Lyrilusc Xyz Monster from my graveyard! Come on back Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale!" Lulu exclaimed as she held her right arm into the air. Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale slowly rose up from the portal and sang a beautiful song.

"Finally, my Fusion card becomes an overlay unit for the monster Summoned through its effect!" The Mistress of Birds added as Lyrilusc Fusion's card turned into a green overlay unit, which circled around Nightingale, causing a small green aura to surround her.

"Talk about a sweet insurance policy. I've got nothing left, so I'll end my turn here!" Rin declared her turn over as she swiped her right hand out to the side.

"Here I go!" The purple haired girl called out as she drew her card with her right hand, taking a moment to look at it before she added it to her hand and took hold of another card. "I Summon Lyrilusc – Cobalt Sparrow!" Lulu called out as she swiped the card onto her Duel Disk's blade. A light appeared on the ground, before Lyrilusc – Cobalt Sparrow flew up from within it with a wide smile.

"Now I activate my Field Spell's effect!" The purple haired female called out as the clear sky of Free Skies shined down on the field. "You already know what it does, so I won't bother explaining it". Lulu told her sister, before looking down at her deck as a card slotted out before she took hold of it and held it up.
"Say hello to Lyrilusc – Stardust Lyrebird!" Lulu exclaimed as she swiped her card into her Duel Disk's blade. A young 5-year-old girl appeared, wearing a silver lyrebird outfit. Stardust Lyrebird had pale skin and silver eyes, with a few strays of hair out of her headset and framed her face. Finally, her outfit had the tail of a lyrebird.

"Here goes! I overlay Cobalt Sparrow, Saving Cardinal, Turquoise Warbled and Stardust Lyrebird!" Lulu called out to the heavens, thrusting her right hand into the air. The four Lyrilusc monsters all cried out as they transformed into green bright lights that flew into the air. "With these four monsters, I build the overlay network!" The Mistress of Birds called out as a galaxy like portal appeared in front of her, before the four lights descended into it, causing a bright light to appear.
"I Xyz Summon! Lyrilusc - Recital Starling!" The Mistress of Birds cried out as a majestic humanoid female monster appeared, before she began singing a beautiful song with four light green overlay units circling around her.

"At this moment, Stardust Lyrebird's effect activates!" The purple haired female called out, before Stardust Lyrebird appeared in front of her as pure white energy. "If she's used as material for a Lyrilusc Fusion, Synchro or Xyz Monster, I can add ether a Lyrilusc Spell or Trap card from my deck to my hand!" Lulu explained as Stardust Lyrebird turned into white sparkles, before it flew into her deck, causing it to glow white.
A card slotted out of Lulu's deck, which she grabbed with her right hand's index and middle fingers before she held it up and looked at it. Lulu then held the card out, showing that it was a Trap card. "I choose the Trap card, Lyrilusc – Return Force!" The 14-year-old female revealed her choice. The image of the Trap card showed two sides of a forest. One side had Lyrilusc – Cobalt Sparrow, Loving Owl and Nay Heron flying into the forest, while the other side showed Raidraptor – Vanishing Lanius, Napalm Dragonius and Strangle Lanius flying to the other side of the forest.

Lulu added the Trap card to her hand, before she held out her right hand. "All right Recital Starling, start singing". Lulu told her Xyz Monster, which Recital Starling nodded to her before she began singing with her four overlay units releasing light beams towards Assembled Nightingale. The beams struck Nightingale's back, but didn't cause her harm, instead coated her in emerald energy.
"Recital Starling has a really special ability. I can target one monster on the field, increase its ATK and DEF Points by 300 for each overlay unit she has! Recital Starling has 4 overlay units, so that's a total of 1200 ATK Points!" The Mistress of Birds explained Recital Starling's special ability, before she watched and listened as Nightingale began singing a peaceful song that even made her fellow Xyz Monster close her eyes in peace.
Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale ATK Points: 400 + 1200 = 1600/ DEF Points: 100 + 1200 = 1300.
"Oh crap, 1600 ATK Points!" Rin exclaimed in alarm, looking down at her Duel Disk to check her Life Points and saw that one direct hit from Nightingale would finish her. "You're in trouble now Rin! Nightingale, attack her directly!" Lulu commanded her ace monster, which Nightingale nodded as she waved her right hand, firing a gale wind attack at Rin.
"I don't think so!" Rin exclaimed, taking one of her cards with her right hand and held it up, revealing it to be a Monster card. "Check this out, Windwitch – Snow Angel Bell!" Rin called out as a new monster appeared. It was a female adult angel. She had long emerald long hair, silver eyes and pale skin. On her back were silvery white angel wings with white feathers. Angel Bell wore a white priestess outfit, white nail polish on her hands and bare footed.

"By discarding this card from my hand, I can target a Windwitch monster I control, then gain 300 Life Points times its Level!" Rin explained her monster's effect, sending the card to the graveyard zone of her Duel Disk. Snow Angel Bell appeared above Freezing Bell see through like that of a ghost, before she turned into sparkles that rained down on the Fusion Monster and her Duelist, causing a white aura to surround Rin. "Since Freezing Bell is Level 7, that's 2100 points!" The green haired female calculated as her Life Points went up.
Rin Life Points: 1200 + 2100 = 3300.
Nightingale's gale wind stroke Rin, pushing her back and causing the white aura to disappear.
Rin Life Points: 3300 – 1600 = 1700.
Lulu narrowed her eyes, before she swiped her right hand out to the side. "I activate Recital Starling's special ability!" Lulu exclaimed as one of Recital Starling's overlay units was absorbed into her chest. "By using an overlay unit, I can add 1 Level 1 Winged Beast from my deck to my hand!" The purple haired girl explained her Xyz Monster's ability as a card slotted out of her deck and she took hold of it.
"I add the Pendulum Monster, Lyrilusc – Jade Parrot!" The purple haired girl called out as she held the card up, allowing Rin to see it. It showed a 5-year-old fair skin girl with emerald eyes, wearing a jade colored parrot themed outfit with a yellow beak on the headwear.

Lulu added the card to her hand, before she picked up two cards from her hand. "I'll set two face down cards and end my turn!" Lulu declared her turn over as she slotted the two cards into her Duel Disk, before two face downs appeared in front of her.

"I draw!" The green haired teenager called out as she drew her card, before she held it up in front of her. "Guess I'll give us both a helping hand. I activate the Spell card, Spell Books from the Pot!" Rin called out as she held the Spell card out with her right hand, before she swiped it into her Duel Disk.
"This handy dandy Spell lets both of us draw three new cards!" The teenage girl explained her Spell card's effect, before both she and the purple haired girl drew the top three cards of their decks and looked at them. Rin's expression turned into excitement at seeing the three cards she drew, before she added them to her hand and took one of them. "I play Pot of Greed!" The green haired girl called out as she held the card out.
"With this, I draw two cards!" Rin explained her Spell's effect as she sent the card to the graveyard, before she drew two more cards and added them to her hand. The Witch of the Wind took two cards from her hand and held them up.
"I set the Pendulum Scale with Scale 0 Windwitch – Hoarfrost Bell and Scale 10 Windwitch – Absolute Zero Bell!" Rin called out as she held two Pendulum cards up, before she held them out to the far side. "Alright ladies, it's showtime!" The Witch of the Wind exclaimed as she placed her two cards at the Pendulum Zones, causing the word 'Pendulum' to appear on the blade in rainbow colors.
Two pillars of light appeared beside Rin before Windwitch – Hoarfrost Bell appeared on the left one, while Absolute Zero Bell appeared on the right. Absolute Zero Bell was an ornate icy blue bell with blue angel at the top, only with ice spikes acting as wings on the back.

The numbers '0' and '10' appeared under the two Windwitch monsters in glowing colors. "Now I'm allowed to Pendulum Summon monsters that are Level 1 all the way up to Level 9!" Rin called out with slightly narrowed eyes, before she held up her right hand. "The fierce blizzard of the Windwitches will freeze you right on the spot! I Pendulum Summon!" The Witch of the Wind cried out as a portal appeared between her two Windwitches, before three lights came out of it. "Coming back from the Extra Deck are Windwitch – Glazed Bell and Windwitch – Stained Glass Bell!" Rin called out as two of the three lights cleared to reveal the young female child and ornate monster with the stained glass.

"And last but not least, Windwitch – Ice Bell!" The Witch of the Wind added as the third light cleared to reveal Windwitch – Ice Bell, who had a happy smile on her face.

"Ice Bell's special ability activates! Once a turn if she's Normal or Special Summoned, you take 500 points of damage!" Rin explained Ice Bell's special ability, before the WIND attribute monster pointed her wand at Lulu and fired a shard of ice. The purple haired girl leaned her head left, causing the shard of ice to miss her face.
Lulu Life Points: 1200 – 500 = 700.
"I activate the Continuous Trap card, Lyrilusc – Power of Peace!" The purple haired female called out, holding out her left arm as one of her face down cards revealed itself. It was a Continuous Trap with the image having a split screen. On the left side of the image, Nightingal was battling against Fairy Cheer Girl with a green aura surrounding her. The right side showed Nightingal singing, while Fairy Cheer Girl was cheering her on.

"This Trap has two effects and I'm gonna use one of them! By selecting a Lyrilusc monster I control, I gain Life Points equal to its ATK Points!" Lulu explained her Trap card's effect, before a calm emerald aura covered Nightingale, who had a gentle smile on her face. "Nightingale has 1600 ATK Points, so that's 1600 more Life Points for me!" The purple haired girl calculated as the green aura transferred over to her, increasing her Life Points.
Lulu Life Points: 700 + 1600 = 2300.
"Now at this moment, I'll activate Saving Cardinal's effect from the graveyard!" Lulu called out, holding her right hand out as Lyrilusc – Saving Cardinal's card slotted out of her Duel Disk. "If I gain Life Points from a card effect other than hers, I can add her to my hand!" She explained, holding the card up before she added it to her hand, making it a total of 6 cards in her hand.
"No sweat, I've got a few tricks left! Level 1 Windwitch – Glazed Bell tunes with Level 3 Windwitch – Ice Bell and Windwitch – Stained Glass Bell!" Rin called out, before holding up her right hand into the air. Ice Bell and Stained Glass Bell took flight into the air, while Glazed Bell turned into a single green ring.
The green ring flew after Ice Bell and Stained Glass Bell, before it circled around them, scanning the two monsters. Ice Bell and Stained Glass Bell turned transparent, before turning into 3 lights separately. The lights lined up within the ring, before a bright beam appeared and consumed the lights and ring. "I'm Summoning a Monster that will hit you with all the power of a wicked wintertime blizzard! I Synchro Summon Windwitch - Winter Bell!" Rin chanted, before her ace monster, Windwitch – Winter Bell flew out of the portal and into the sky.

Winter Bell flew down next to Rin, before the Synchro Monster looked at her Duelist. 'You took your time calling me out here'. Windwitch – Winter Bell said to her Duelist, looking as if she was smiling. "Sorry about that, but it took a while. Also you might not like this". The Witch of the Wind apologized to her ace monster, making the Synchro Monster look like she was confused by her Duelist's words.
Rin turned to look at Lulu and stared at her, waiting for her to activate her Trap card. However the Mistress of Birds didn't budge, making Rin narrow her eyes. 'Looks like Lulu is playing smart. She must be worried about this'. The Witch of the Wind said in her mind, before she looked down at the remaining card in her hand.
It was a Spell card called Windwitch Magical Synchro. The card showed an image similar to Necroid Synchro, but instead of Junk Anchor and Junk Giant, it showed Windwitch – Freeze Bell in front of Windwitch – Blizzard Bell with green energy surrounding them.

'I knew sharing strategies with her was a bad idea if we ever Dueled. Well, to be honest, she's seen me use this card before, so I guess it can't be helped. Oh well, guess I'll go with Plan B'. Rin said in her mind, before she narrowed her eyes as she held up her right hand. "I activate Windwitch – Winter Bell's special ability! Once a turn, Winter Bell can copy one of the effects of a Level 4 or lower Windwitch monster! And I think I'll copy the effect of Windwitch – Ice Bell!" The Witch of the Wind explained her ace monster's effect.
Windwitch – Ice Bell appeared in front of Windwitch – Winter Bell, looking see through like that of a ghost before disappearing. "Now I activate the inherited effect of Ice Bell! Once a turn if Winter Bell was Normal or Special Summoned, you take 500 points of damage!" Rin explained to her sister, before Winter Bell fired an icy beam at Lulu, making her shiver upon contact.
Lulu Life Points: 2300 – 500 = 1800.
"Now Freezing Bell, do your thing!" The Witch of the Wind exclaimed, thrusting her open right hand out into the air. Freezing Bell cried out as she spun her staff with her right hand, before she took hold of it and held it out towards Recital Starling and Assembled Nightingale, firing a blizzard storm from the snowflake.
The blizzard storm completely engulfed the two Xyz Monsters, covering them for a few seconds before clearing to reveal the two incased in ice, getting Lulu to look at her monsters. "Once a turn, Freezing Bell can negate the effects of my opponent's cards up to the Fusion Materials used to Fusion Summon her!" Rin explained her Fusion Monster's special ability with a smirk on her face, getting Lulu to look back at her sister.
Lulu looked up at Windwitch – Hoarfrost Bell for a moment, before gritting her teeth. "I activate my Trap, Lyrilusc – Return Force!" The Mistress of Birds called out, before her face down card flipped itself over. "This card returns all Lyrilusc monsters on my field to the hand and for each one; you have to return the same amount!" The purple haired female explained her Trap card's effect, before the card glowed green.
Two green tornadoes appeared around Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale and Recital Starling. Lulu took her two Xyz Monsters' cards from the blade and held them up with her right hand. "By returning Nightingale and Starling, your Freezing Bell and Winter Bell are going back to the Extra Deck!" Lulu stated as the two tornadoes flew towards the two Windwitch monsters, surrounding them for a few moments before clearing to reveal Windwitch – Freeing Bell and Windwitch – Winter Bell gone.
'She used her Trap right before I could seal it with Hoarfrost's ability and this kept Windwitch Fusion from preventing Freezing Bell from being destroyed. Too bad it won't matter in a second'. Rin thought to herself with narrowed eyes, before she took Windwitch Magical Synchro and held it up between her right hand's index and middle fingers.
"You've crossed the line, sis! I activate the Spell card, Windwitch Magical Synchro!" Rin called out, before she slotted the Spell card into her Duel Disk with the card appearing in front of her. "This Spell allows me to Synchro Summon a Windwitch monster by returning Windwitch monsters in my graveyard to the deck!" The green haired girl explained her Spell card's effect, before Windwitch – Freeze Bell, Black Ice Bell and Snow Bell's cards slotted out of her Duel Disk and she took hold of them.
Windwitch – Freeze Bell, Windwitch – Black Ice Bell and Windwitch – Snow Bell all appeared on the field, while Rin returned their cards to her deck. "Level 1 Windwitch – Snow Bell tunes Level 3 Windwitch – Freeze Bell and Windwitch – Black Ice Bell!" Rin called out to the havens, thrusting her right hand into the air.
Black Ice Bell and Freeze Bell flew into the sky on their brooms, while Snow Bell transformed into a single green ring. The green ring flew after Black Ice Bell and Freeze Bell, before it circled around them. The ring appeared to be scanning the two witches as they turned transparent, before turning into 3 lights separately. The lights lined up within the green ring, before a bright beam appeared and absorbed the lights and rings. "Let's rev it up, Windwitch – Winter Bell!" Rin called out with a wide smile as Winter Bell flew out of the portal and into the air.

"Now Magical Synchro's final effect activates! If a Synchro Monster was successfully Synchro Summoned, you take 500 points of damage!" The Witch of the Wind explained her Spell's final effect, before Winter Bell fired an ice beam at Lulu, pushing her back a bit from making contact.
Lulu Life Points: 1800 – 500 = 1300.
"This is it for you Lulu! Winter Bell, attack my sister directly!" Rin commanded her ace monster, holding her right hand up in front of her. 'It'll be my pleasure'. A female voice replied to Rin, the voice coming from Windwitch – Winter Bell before the Synchro Monster fired a blizzard at Lulu. The purple haired girl showed no fear; before she took a card from the six cards she was holding and held it up.
"I'm not done just yet! I play Lyrilusc – Violet Swift!" Lulu called out as she placed the card on her Duel Disk's blade. A blur appeared, moving at fast speeds before stopping in front of the purple haired girl. It was a 5-year-old girl with purple eyes, snow white skin and wearing a violet Swift bird outfit with her hands as her wings and black talons.

"When I'm attacked directly, I can Special Summon this card and end the Battle Phase!" The purple haired girl explained her monster's effect, before Violet Swift began spinning around, creating a violet tornado. The tornado protected Lulu from Winter Bell's attack for 5 seconds, before the blizzard dispersed with the tornado disappearing to reveal Violet Swift.
Rin let out an impressed whistle, before she grinned at Lulu. "Not bad. Guess I'll end my turn with a face down". Rin declared her turn over as she took her last card and slotted it into her Duel Disk, before a face down card appeared.
Lulu Life Points: 1300/ Number of cards in hand: 5.
Instead of immediately drawing her card, Lulu looked at Rin with a happy smile on her face. "I don't know about you, but I'm having fun". The purple haired female told her sister, getting the green haired girl to smile back. "That makes two of us". Rin replied to her sister, before she looked up at Windwitch – Absolute Zero Bell and Hoarfrost Bell, with the two Pendulum Monsters still in the pillars of lights. "We've really come a long way, haven't we? It's a bit hard to believe that we've got our own Pendulum cards now". The green haired girl added, getting Lulu to chuckle a bit as she looked at her Duel Disk.
"I think it's more hard to believe that we've learned how to Fusion Summon". Lulu stated, getting Rin to look at her sister, before she nodded in agreement. "You have a point". Rin stated, agreeing with her sister that it was hard to believe that they now use Fusion Monsters. Lulu was silent as she continued to look down at her Duel Disk.
"Before I met Yusei, I hated Fusion Summoning for what Duel Academy did to my home. But then I learned about Duel Monster spirits and how there are people in the Fusion Dimension using Fusion Summoning to make people smile. I started to stop hating Fusion Summoning, and eventually learned it myself. Looking back on it, I see that it wasn't the Summoning or the Fusion Monsters responsible for what happened to my home, but Duel Academy's forces". Lulu said out loud for her sister to hear, expressing her feelings and how much she's changed since she met Yusei.
"You've grown up Lulu, for the better. Just like Yusei's taught us, Duel Monsters have souls and it's not the Fusion Monsters' fault for what happened to Heartland". Rin told her sister in a serious tone, showing just how serious she was about this discussion. Lulu smiled at her sister, before she gave her a nervous smile. "The same could be said about you… well mostly". The purple haired girl replied to her sister, making Rin giggle a bit. "What can I say? I'm just full of tough love". Rin said with a proud look, before she looked up at Winter Bell and smiled at her ace monster.
"Still, the thing I'm mostly happy about is that I can now hear my monsters' voices". Rin confessed with a happy smile on her face, making Lulu a happy smile herself. "Same here. I honestly didn't believe Yusei at first when he told us that he could hear Duel Monster spirits' voices". Lulu confessed as well, getting the Witch of the Wind to look at her. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we start hearing our monsters' voices after we touched Yusei's mark?" Rin questioned her sister as she looked up at the sky, thinking back to when she started hearing her monsters' voices.
"Yup. We both made contact with Yusei's mark at some point. Yusei suspected that the Crimson Dragon must have given us the ability to communicate with our monsters". Lulu answered her sister, getting Rin to look back at her with a frown. "I still think it was unfair that you got the ability to speak to your monsters first". Rin told her sister, getting Lulu to sweat drop with a nervous smile on her face.
"I did say I was sorry". The purple haired female told her sister, who kept frowning for a few seconds before she sighed. "I know, but I still thought it was unfair. I'm just glad I can hear my monsters' voices now". The green haired girl replied, before she looked up at the sky. "Sometimes, I wonder what our lives would have been if we never met Yusei. Would we still have become sisters? Would we have ever officially met our monsters? Would we still be locked up in those towers? Would we still have met Yuya and the others?" Rin questioned with a hint of fear in her voice, as if she was afraid of what could have happened if she and Lulu never met Yusei.
Lulu's face fell at her sister's words, before she looked up at the sky. "I've thought about the same thing from time to time. Every time I thought about what could have happened if Yusei never came to our world, I get scared. But I'm happy knowing that's just me being silly. This is our reality, not some sort of dream. We're sisters, Yusei's our dad and we can hear and see our monsters". Lulu told her sister, growing a sweet smile on her face as she thought about her life and everything that's happened.
"Don't forget that Yuya's your boyfriend now". The green haired teenager reminded her sister, getting the Mistress of Birds to blush before she looked to the side. "Did you have to bring that up?" The purple haired teenager questioned her sister, getting Rin to start giggling at Lulu's blushing face.
"You know what? We're getting off track, back to the Duel! I draw!" Lulu called out as she stopped blushing and drew her card with her right hand's index and middle fingers. Lulu took a moment to look at the card, before she added it to her hand and took two cards and held them up. "I'll set the Pendulum Scale with Scale 0 Lyrilusc – Jade Parrot and Scale 9 Lyrilusc – Saving Cardinal; I'll set the Pendulum Scale!" The Mistress of Birds called out, before she set the two Pendulum cards onto the Pendulum Zone of her Duel Disk's blade.
The words 'Pendulum' appeared across the blade in rainbow colors. Two pillars of light appeared beside Lulu before Lyrilusc – Jade Parret raised up in the left pillar, while Lyrilusc – Saving Cardinal raised up in the right pillar. The numbers '0' and '9' appeared in glowing colors under the two Pendulum Monsters.
"With these two, I'm now allowed to Pendulum Summon monsters between Level 1 all the way to Level 8!" Lulu called out with look of determination on her face, before she held up her right hand. "Creatures of the wind spread your wings and fly to your hearts' content! I Pendulum Summon!" Lulu called out as she held three cards with her right hand, before holding her arm out to the side as a portal appeared between her two Pendulum Monsters and three lights came out.
"First up Lyrilusc – Navy Heron!" Lulu began as one of the lights cleared to reveal Lyrilusc – Navy Heron, who had a happy smile on her face.

"Second, Lyrilusc – Tender Dove!" The purple haired female continued as the second light cleared to reveal a 5-year-old girl wearing a pink dove outfit. The little girl had pink eyes, cream skin and a bit of pink hair coming out of her headset.

"And last but not least, Lyrilusc – Hazel Penguin!" The Mistress of Birds finished as the last light cleared to reveal another 5-year-old girl, only she was wearing a hazel colored penguin outfit with flippers. Hazel Penguin had tan skin and yellow eyes, plus her hands were flippers.

"And that's not all! Tender Dove's special ability now activates!" Lulu called out as she held her right hand and snapped her fingers. Tender Dove began singing a love song with hearts appearing around her. "When this little cutie is Pendulum Summoned, I can select a monster in either players' graveyard and Summon it to my field as a Winged Beast! And I choose Lyrilusc – Onyx Woodpecker!" The purple haired girl explained her Tuner monster's special ability as Onyx Woodpecker's card slotted out of her Duel Disk.
Lulu took hold of the card before she placed it on her Duel Disk's blade, before Onyx Woodpecker appearing next to Tender Dove, singing a peaceful song.

"And here's the best part! When Onyx Woodpecker is either Normal or Special Summoned, one of your face down cards are going to the graveyard!" Lulu told her sister, before Rin's face down card shattered. For some reason, Rin didn't even flinch at her face down card's destruction.
"I think you need a calculator, because your birds don't have enough ATK Points to destroy my Winter Bell". Rin told her sister with a confident look on her face, making Lulu smirk right back at her. "We'll see who needs a calculator, after I play this". Lulu replied to her sister as she held up her last card with her right hand.
"Say 'hello' to Lyrilusc – Giving Swan". The Mistress of Birds said to Rin before she flipped the card over to reveal that it was a monster card. The card's image showed a teenage girl unlike the other Lyrilusc monster. The teenage girl was wearing a white swan outfit, albino skin, silvery white hair and silver eyes.

Lyrilusc – Giving Swan appeared on the field above her four sisters, before she held out her wing filled hands with white sparkles raining down on Navy Heron, Onyx Woodpecker, Tender Dove and Hazel Penguin. "By discarding her to the graveyard, Giving Swan increase the Levels of all Winged Beast monsters by 3!" Lulu explained her monster's effect as she sent Giving Swan's card to the graveyard zone of her Duel Disk. Giving Swan faded away as Navy Heron, Onyx Woodpecker, Tender Dove and Hazel Penguin's Levels went up.

"You've had your Synchro fun, now it's my turn! My Level 4 Lyrilusc – Tender Dove now tunes with Level 4 Onyx Woodpecker!" Lulu called out as she thrust her right hand into her hand. Onyx Woodpecker took flight into the sky, while Tender Dove sang a love song before she transformed into 4 green rings.
The four green rings circled around Onyx Woodpecker, scanning the little 5-year-old girl before she turned into 4 bright lights. The lights lined up within the green rings, before a bright beam appeared and consumed the lights and rings. "Let's rev it up Lyrilusc – Burning Phoenix!" Lulu cried out as her new monster flew out of the portal. It was a humanoid female adult monster like Nightingale with violet eyes and snow white skin. She wore an orange red phoenix outfit with flaming wings as hands and a flaming tail that was longer than her talons. She had long red hair that seemed to be on fire under her phoenix headwear that seemed to be constantly blowing in a breeze and a red overskirt that was made of flames. Lyrilusc – Burning Phoenix gave out a powerful cry as she spread her wings and took flight into the sky.

"About time. I was wondering if you were gonna Synchro Summon". Rin said with a smirk on her face, despite the circumstances she was in. "You're gonna wish I hadn't in a moment. Hazel Penguin, activate your special ability!" The Mistress of Birds called out as she held her left hand out.
Hazel Penguin closed her eyes as she was covered in a hazel aura, before a similar aura appeared over Burning Phoenix. "Once a turn, I can select a Lyrilusc monster I control and all your monsters loses ATK Points equal to the selected monster's ATK Points!" Lulu sharply explained her monster's special ability, before the two auras fired hazel beams at Winter Bell, striking the Synchro Monster.
"Burning Phoenix has 3300 ATK Points while your Winter Bell has 2400 ATK Points. So that means Winter Bell's ATK Points drop to 0!" The purple haired girl told her sister, calculating for her before the two beams cleared to reveal Winter Bell looking drained.
Windwitch – Winter Bell ATK Points: 2400 – 3300 = 0.
Rin looked at her ace monster with a worried look, before she looked back at her sister. "It's time to finish this! Burning Phoenix, attack Windwitch – Winter Bell and end this Duel!" Lulu commanded her Synchro Monster, which Burning Phoenix gave out a battle cry before the flames grew bigger and engulfed her. The fire soon took the form of a phoenix, before it gave out a cry as it flew towards Winter Bell.
"Game over sis!" Lulu told Rin with a confident smile, making the Witch of the Wind smirk at her sister. "That's right, it's over. For both of us!" Rin replied to her sister, getting Lulu to frown in confusion. "I activate the Trap, Disaster Tornado from the graveyard!" The Witch of the Wind called out, thrusting out her right hand as a Trap card appeared next to her. The Trap card's image showed outer space with a giant tornado coming out of Earth.

Lulu widened her eyes at seeing the Trap card. "Oh no!" Lulu exclaimed in alarm, while Rin frowned as she looked at her Trap card. "If a monster you control attacks a monster with higher ATK Points than my Life Points, your monster is destroyed and we both take damage equal to its ATK Points!" Rin explained her Trap's effect, before a white tornado came out of the Trap card and made its way towards the burning phoenix.
The tornado absorbed the phoenix inside of it, causing fire to appear around it. "Burning Phoniex had 3300 ATK Points, more ATK Points than both of our Life Points. That means…" Lulu started with wide eyes, realizing what this meant. "It's a Draw!" Rin finished for her sister, watching as the tornado became a flaming tornado, before it exploded. The force of the explosion blew both Lulu and Rin off their feet and into the air for a moment, before they both landed on the ground on their backs.

Draw!
Lulu and Rin's monsters all disappeared with their Duel Disks deactivating and Free Skies' sky disappearing, revealing the snowing sky. Both girls laid down on the snow covered ground for a few moments, watching the snow before they burst out laughing. "Looks like neither of us are breaking this tie breaker!" Rin laughed out, her eyes closed in joy from having such a fun and exciting Duel against her sister.
"You can say that again!" Lulu laughed out with her eyes closed in joy as well, before she opened them. The purple haired girl watched as the snow continued to fall from the sky, before she closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"Merry Christmas. My song for you."

"Santa Claus, please come."

Lulu singed with her eyes peacefully closed, completely focus on singing. Rin was quiet to not disturb her sister's singing. She just laid down with her eyes closed in peace and with a peaceful smile on her face as she listened to her sister singing.
Unknown to the two sisters was that Yusei, Kalin, Akiza and Leo were listening to Lulu sing from atop the stairway and were looking down at the two girls with smiles. Earlier, Kalin had gotten up to watch the Duel between Lulu and Rin, wanting to see their skills for himself. Akiza joined him later, then Leo and finally Yusei. The four had seen the outcome of the Duel between the two sisters and were impressed with their skills. They were gonna head down to help them up and praise them for giving it their best, but decided to hold on that until Lulu was done singing.

Lulu opened her eyes, before she sat up from the ground. Rin continued lying down for a few moments before she spoke. "I still think you're a better singer than me". Rin said to her sister as she sat up from the ground before she stood up on her feet. "And I still think that you're a good singer". Lulu replied to the green haired female as she got up on her feet.
"You two are both good singers". Yusei told the two as he, Akiza, Kalin and Leo walked down the staircase, getting Lulu and Rin's attention as they looked and saw everyone. "Hey guys!" Rin greeted everyone with a smile, while Lulu blushed a bit in embarrassment at realizing they heard her singing.
"I was watching you guys Duel from the start, but eventually the others joined me". Kalin informed the two teenage girls with an impressed look on his face. "You two were awesome. The way you guys kept countering each other's moves was awesome!" Leo exclaimed in excitement, feeling completely excited from watching Lulu and Rin's intense Duel.
Rin looked at Leo, before she ruffled Leo's head in a playful manner. "If you want, I'll Duel you right now to let out some of that excitement". The green haired female offered to the 12-year-old boy, getting him to grow an excited smile on his face. "You're on!" The green haired boy replied to Rin as he brought out a green Synchro Dimension Duel Disk, a gift that the Crimson Dragon gave him.
While Rin and Leo had their 'discussion', Lulu was talking with Akiza. "I didn't know that you could sing". The female Signer said to Lulu in surprise, but she did sound impressed with the 14-year-old girl's singing. "I…I learned singing back home and was just really good with it. But I still think that I'm an amateur". The purple haired female replied to the older female, looking down with her cheeks still red from singing out loud with an unknown audience listening in.
Akiza placed her right hand on Lulu's left cheek, before she gentle moved her face so that they were looking at each other's faces. "You're no amateur; you're definitely the best singer I've ever heard before". Akiza told Lulu with nothing but honesty in her voice and eyes, making Lulu blush a bit more, before she grew a smile on her face.
"Thank you… mom". Lulu thanked Akiza in a whispered voice, making the former Black Rose Witch slightly widen her eyes in surprise, before she grew a smile on her face. "You still wanna learn how to slice up ham?" The former Black Rose Witch asked the younger female, which Lulu nodded eagerly to her. "Come on then". Akiza said as she took hold of Lulu's left hand with her right hand, before she began leading the younger girl back to the house.
Yusei and Kalin watched Akiza take Lulu back to the house, before they turned to look at Rin and Leo and saw the two beginning their Duel. "It looks like everyone's getting along well". Kalin stated with a smile, watching as Leo took the first turn. Yusei nodded in agreement with his arms crossed, before he turned around and began heading back to the house. "Not gonna stay to watch?" The former Dark Signer questioned his old friend, looking over his left shoulder to watch Yusei.
"There's no need. Beside, I've still got a few things left to do". Satellite's Shooting Star replied to his old friend as he walked up the staircase and left Kalin's sight. The Infernity Duelist shrugged for a moment, before he went back to watching the Duel between Rin and Leo.
(8 hours later)
8 hours have passed since Lulu and Rin's Duel. Rin and Leo's Duel had ended in Leo's victory, which he rubbed in Rin's face, much to her annoyance while Kalin just chuckled in amusement. Akiza taught Lulu all she knew about cutting ham and how to use all types of knifes, much to Lulu's amazement. Yusei spent a little bit more time in the garage, before he joined everyone.
Everyone spent the rest of the day together watching Christmas movies like The Christmas Chronicles 2, The Nutcracker, the Four Realms and The Grinch. Now it was 8:30pm in the night and everyone was in the kitchen, finishing up their dinner that Akiza and Lulu made for them all.
Rin, Leo and Akiza were sitting down on three of the wooden chairs around the glass table, each with a plate of ham and rice, while Yusei and Kalin were leaning against the island bench, drinking hot chocolate. Lulu was currently outside of the kitchen, getting changed into something that she'll wear tomorrow for Christmas.
"So, how are you doing with your new deck?" Rin asked Akiza as she took a bit out of her ham, getting the former Black Rose Witch to bring out her new deck with her right hand and look at it. "It's still taking some time to get used to the fact that I have a new deck, but I'm getting there. Plus, I'm figuring out new strategies". The female Signer answered the green haired girl as she drew the top card with her left hand and looked at it, seeing that it was the Synchro Monster Aromaseraphy Rosemary.
Akiza turned her attention to Leo, who was struggling to cut a piece of ham with his knife. "How about you Leo? How are your new cards?" Akiza asked her fellow Signer, getting Leo to look at her, stopping his attempt to slice up the piece of ham. "These new cards rock! Thanks to them, I beat Rin in a Duel!" The sixth Signer exclaimed with a grin, getting Rin to frown at him and Akiza to chuckle.
Just then, everyone heard the sound of footsteps, getting them all to look at the hallway as Lulu walked into the kitchen, wearing an elf costume. Lulu had her hair back the way it used to be with her wing-shaped barrette. She wore a Santa hat, a red swing coat with white fur trim, black tights, flat red ankle boots and finally white wrist gloves with jagged edges in the shape of a star.
Lulu was blushing a bit in embarrassment with her hands folded in front of her. "D-do I look okay?" Lulu questioned with her eyes down, a bit too embarrassed to look at everyone. Akiza raised up from her chair, before she walked over to Lulu and placed her hands on her shoulders, getting the younger female to look up at the female Signer.
"You look beautiful". Akiza told the Mistress of Birds with an honest smile, making the 14-year-old girl smile brightly before she hugged the female Singer, which she returned it. "Out of curiosity, where'd you get that outfit?" Leo questioned Lulu, getting her and Akiza to turn around to look at the 12-year-old boy and Rin.
"I… kinda sewed it together". Lulu answered the sixth Signer with a smile, getting him to grow an impressed look on his face. "Really? Wow, Luna could learn a lot from you". Leo said in an impressed tone, thinking that his sister could learn from Lulu. "I'm pretty sure Luna would be offended by what you said". Yusei commented, taking a sip of his hot chocolate, getting Leo to look at him.
"If you're dressed up as an elf, then who's gonna be Santa?" Rin asked Lulu with a curious look, getting Lulu to slightly blush as she looked away. "Yuya". Lulu answered her sister, getting Rin to instantly grin at the purple haired girl. "Ahh I see. Yuya's gonna be giving out presents while you're gonna be his little helper. Should we know anything else?" The green haired girl questioned her sister, which Lulu shook her head.
"Not really". The Mistress of Birds answered her sister with a slightly annoyed look, knowing exactly what Rin was thinking of. "Alright you two, that's enough for now. You two need to finish your dinner and get ready for bed". Akiza told the two girls, leading Lulu back to the table and helping her to her seat.
Lulu gave her smug looking sister one last annoyed look, before she began eating her dinner. Akiza took her seat and continued her dinner, along with Leo. Yusei and Kalin watched the four eat dinner, before they looked at each other. "So how does it feel spending your first Christmas with your two daughters?" Kalin questioned her old friend with his eyes locked on his hot chocolate. "It's exciting and joyful. But there's something else that makes this Christmas even better". The Shooting Star of Satellite answered his former leader, getting the former Dark Signer to look at him with a curious look.
"And what would that be?" Kalin asked the Signer, wondering what it was that made this Christmas even better. Yusei looked at the table at Lulu, Rin, Leo and Akiza, before he looked at Kalin. "You, Leo and Akiza are here with me". Yusei answered his old friend with a happy smile on his face, getting Kalin to smile back at the Signer.
A few minutes passed before Akiza, Leo, Lulu and Rin finished their dinner. "You two should head to bed now, or else Santa won't come". Akiza told Lulu and Rin as she, the two teenage girls and Leo stood up from their chairs. "Hold up! How come you're not sending Leo to bed? He's younger, so why?" The Witch of the Wind questioned with a frown on her face, making Akiza look at Leo who looked back at her.
"I need his help with doing the dishes. When we're done, I'll send him to bed". Akiza explained to the green haired girl, turning to look back at Rin. The Witch of the Wind stopped frowning and replaced her frown with an understanding smile. "Okay then. Well, see you guys tomorrow". Rin said as she gave a wave with her right hand, before she turned around and began walking back to her room. "Goodnight everyone". Lulu bid everyone goodnight as she followed after her sister.
Yusei, Kalin, Leo and Akiza watched the two sisters walk out of the kitchen and soon left their sight. Akiza and Leo grabbed the plates and cutlery, before they walked over to the sink. The female Signer turned the tap on and put dish washing liquid on two sponges. She handed one sponge to Leo, before they both began washing the dishes.
"So, how do you think everyone's doing back home?" Akiza questioned her friends with her eyes focused on the dish she was washing. "Luna probably had trouble setting up the Christmas tree, but I'm sure she finished getting it ready". Leo said with a smile, though there was a hint of sadness in his voice. Something that Akiza noticed as she turned to look at the 12-year-old boy.
"Do you miss her?" The former Black Rose Witch questioned her fellow Signer, getting Leo to look up at her and allowing her to see the sad look in his eyes. "This is… actually my first Christmas away from Luna". The sixth Signer confessed, making Akiza soften her gaze as she laid her left hand on his head and gave him a comforting rub.
"I'm sure Jack, Crow and the others are keeping her company back in our world. Beside, you need to believe that Luna can take care of herself". Akiza told her fellow Signer in a comforting voice, getting Leo to smile at her. "Now that you mention it, what do you think everyone's doing back home?" Yusei questioned with a smile, having finished his hot chocolate a while ago. "I bet Jack's training super hard for his rematch against you". Kalin said with a smirk and his arms crossed, getting Yusei to look at his old leader.
"He was pretty ticked off when he heard you had new cards and new strategies. I bet he's out in the wilderness right now, training with his new cards that the Crimson Dragon gave him so that he can 'settle' the score between you two". The Infernity Duelist told the Shooting Star of Satellite with a smirk on his face. "Not to mention to beat up Duel Academy when he joins us here". Kalin added with a roll of his eyes, getting Yusei to chuckle at his old friend.
Suddenly without warning, a bright light appeared within the room, getting everyone's attention as they looked at the light. The light soon cleared to reveal a man, with Yusei, Kalin, Leo and Akiza having wide eyes at who they saw. It was an immense man; tall, buff, and a little rotund. He has bright blue eyes, thick black eyebrows, and a long white beard and mustache. He wore a black fur hat, a long red coat with black fur trim, a red plaid shirt, cossak style loose baggy pants with a wide cumber band with low brown suede boots.
The four continued to stare at the man in disbelief, while the man gave an amused laugh at their reaction. "Is that… Santa Claus?" Leo questioned in disbelief at what he was seeing with his own eyes. Akiza, not trusting her own voice, just nodded to her fellow Signer. "Merry Christmas Yusei Fudo, Kalin Kessler, Akiza Izinski and Leo!" Santa Claus greeted the three Signers and former Dark Signer, getting Yusei to lose his disbelief look and replace it with a smile as he walked up to Father Winter and held his right hand out for a handshake.
"It's an honor to meet you Santa". Yusei greeted Santa with a bow of respect, which Father Winter grabbed and shook his hand with his right hand. "The honor is all mine, Yusei Fudo". Santa replied to the Signer as they both let go of each other's hands, before their attention shifted to Leo, who run to Santa with an excited smile.
"I really can't believe it! I'm really seeing Santa Claus with my own eyes! Wait until I tell Luna!" Leo exclaimed in pure excitement as he started jumping up and down, making Santa burst out laughing at Leo's actions. "Oh ho ho! Glad I could make your day, little one". Father Winter said as he placed his right hand on Leo's head and gave a comforting rub.
Akiza walked up next to Yusei and stood by his side as she looked at Santa Claus. "What brings you to our house, Santa?" The former Black Rose Witch asked Santa with a smile, doing her absolute best not to scream out in excitement. Santa looked back at Akiza and gave her a jolly smile. "I wanted to meet all of you to thank you all for what you did in your world". Santa answered Akiza, before he turned to look at Kalin. "Even you Kalin". Father Winter added, getting Kalin to slightly widen his eyes, before he looked down with a look of shame.
"Even after all I've done in the past?" The former Dark Signer questioned, still having a bit of regret of what he did as a Dark Signer. "My boy, you've made up for your sins by helping free Crash Town and helping rebuild it. And now you've joined your friends to stop Leo Akaba, Z-arc and the great evil. You've made up for your sins with your actions". Santa told the former Dark Signer with a sharp, but comforting tone as he walked over to Kalin and placed his right hand on his shoulder.
Kalin slowly looked up at Santa and gave a small, but grateful smile. "Thank you Santa". The leader of the disbanded Enforcers thanked Father Winter, who gave him a smile as he lifted his hand off his shoulder. "Now…" Santa began as he turned around to look at Yusei, Akiza and Leo, with the three having been watching him and Kalin. "I'm on a schedule, so sorry but I'm gonna have to cut this short". Father Winter apologized to the Signers, but they didn't look disappointed, they had understanding smiles.
"It's alright; we understand that you've got a busy night. Seeing you was a good enough gift". Yusei told Santa Claus with an understanding smile, knowing just how special it was to see him. "I'm glad to see that. Now, allow me to send you all to bed". Santa said with a smile, getting Yusei, Akiza, Leo and Kalin to look at him in confusion. Santa held up his right hand, before he snapped his fingers. The moment he snapped his fingers, a bright light appeared out of nowhere, forcing the Signers and former Dark Signer to cover their eyes for a few seconds, before they suddenly lost consciousness.
(In the morning)
Yusei groaned weakly as he slowly opened his eyes and saw ceiling of his and Akiza's shared room. 'What happened?' The Shooting Star of Satellite thought to himself, before he sat up from his bed. The 19-year-old looked down at himself and saw that he was wearing a black pajama top and pants.
Feeling his bed shift, Yusei looked left and saw Akiza sleeping on the other side of the bed, wearing a rosy colored nightgown with long sleeves and her hair freely lose. "Did Santa… use magic to send us to bed?" Yusei questioned, getting up from bed before he looked around the room. He saw his casual outfit and Akiza's on the desk away from each other with their Duel Disks atop them.
Yusei turned to look out the bifold door to the bench and saw sunlight with snow falling down. The Shooting Star of Satellite walked up to the bifold door and opened it, allowing the cold breeze of outside to come inside. Yusei walked up to the edge of the bench and saw snowing falling down on a wide awake Paradise City, making him smile.
Yusei walked back inside, closing the bifold door before he walked up to the sleeping Akiza. He leaned down and kissed Akiza on the cheek, making her blush and giggle in her sleep, making Yusei's smile grow bigger. "Merry Christmas Akiza". Yusei said to the sleeping Signer, before he stood up fully and walked over to his clothes and Duel Disk.
The 19-year-old Signer took his clothes into his arms, before he turned around and walked to the bathroom connected to his room to take a shower, get dressed and brush his teeth. 10 minutes later, Yusei walked out of the bathroom wearing his casual outfit. However, the moment he walked out of the bathroom, he saw Akiza wide away, picking her clothes up with her Duel Disk safely placed at the side.
With her clothes in hand, Akiza turned around and saw her boyfriend exiting the bathroom. "Good morning Yusei. Merry Christmas". Akiza greeted her boyfriend as she walked up to him, brought his face down with her right hand and claimed his lips in a kiss, one that Yusei happily returned.
The kiss lasted for a few seconds before the two Signers leaned back. "Good morning to you as well, Akiza. You get ready while I go check on everyone else". Yusei told his fellow Signer, which Akiza nodded to him with a happy smile. "Alright. I'll see you later". The former Black Rose Witch replied to her boyfriend, walking around him and to the bathroom. Yusei watched her for a moment, before he walked towards the front door and left his room to search for Lulu, Rin, Kalin and Leo.
(Meanwhile in the Spirit World)
Just like the Standard Dimension, it was early in the morning for the Standard Dimension Spirit World. Just like how the United World was split into four, the original Spirit World was split into four different Spirit Worlds. In a faraway place in the Standard Dimension Spirit World, was an island for a special group of Duel Spirits.
On the island there was a galaxy highway over a starlight city, a forest nearby with a garden and a house, there was another forest only more dark than the other one and mountains nearby. This island was created by the Crimson Dragon for his Signers' monsters to live in during their stay in the Standard Dimension Spirit World.
In the starlight city, Yusei and Leo's monsters were all enjoying themselves as they celebrated Christmas. Junk Warrior, Road Warrior, Stardust Assault Warrior, Signal Warrior and Lightning Warrior were flying through the galaxy highway, having a race against each other with all of Yusei and Leo's other monsters cheering them on.
In the forest with the garden, Akiza's new monsters, the Aromage monsters and a few of her old monsters were having a festival to celebrate Christmas. Some were even watering the plants. A few of Lulu's Lyrilusc monsters and Yusei's Mahaama the Fairy Dragon were helping them as well, or just enjoying the party. In the forest near the garden, Rin's Windwitch monsters were flying around, enjoying themselves, but were playing magic tricks on each other.
In the dark forest, which was the home of Kalin's monsters, the Infernity monsters were having a combat festival. Kalin's powerful monsters were battling each other while his weaker monsters were cheering them up. Sitting down on a throne was Kalin's ace monster, Infernity Doom Dragon, watching his comrades battle with what appeared to be a happy look on his face at seeing his comrades have fun in their way.
Finally in a selected part of the mountains, Stardust Dragon watched all the Duel Spirits celebrate Christmas. The leader of the Signer Dragons was standing up on his two feet and his claws were crossed with a happy expression on his face. It was just midday and the festivities were just getting started, so he was in no big rush at the moment. He was just taking his time, watching all the other Duel Spirits enjoy themselves.
"Master". A familiar voice said, before something landed behind Stardust Dragon, getting him to look over his left shoulder to see his student, Star-Eyes Savior Dragon, or better known as Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon behind him.
Star-Eyes Savior Dragon was bigger than he was in his Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, now just slightly smaller than Stardust. He was now a lanky dragon with a humanoid body plan in silvery white chrome armor and had black skin underneath. His bulky quad like legs were now like Stardust's legs, only with his armor on as well, but was recoloured to silvery white. His spikes had been replaced by wings that had claws and ribbed sections of silvery white skin protruding along the ridge of the wing finger, which extended far further than the other fingers.
There was a green gem on his left wing and a red one on his right wing. His once bulky torso was now lean with his torso armor reshaped to fit with a purple gem on his chest. His tail was tipped with four small, axe-like blades arranged in a cross just like Stardust's tail. His claws were now just like Stardust's claws, but were black with silvery white armor. His head and neck had changed a bit, no longer bulky and were now like Stardust's with some differences with his armor now reshaped to fit it. He had a short jaw in comparison to his large crest and long neck. The crest and neck both had black, ribbed sections of skin. The crest on Star-Eyes' head is now four-pointed like Stardust, with a fork-like trio of points extending from the back, and a single shorter point running down its nose. Finally, his heterochromia-like eyes were now shinning like that of a star and had a royal blue gem on his forehead.
"Star-Eyes, what brings you here?" Stardust asked his student, turning around to fully face Star-Eyes Savior Dragon. "I had wished to come see you and Nightingale". Star-Eyes answered his master, making Stardust give him a sly look. "Is it really that? Or is it just because you needed some time off those Performapals?" The Signer Dragon questioned his apprentice with a sly look on his face, getting Star-Eyes to widen his shining eyes a bit before he looked a bit embarrassed.
"A little bit of both actually". Stay-Eyes answered, making Stardust chuckle as he turned around and looked down at all the Duel Spirits down below. The Synchro Pendulum Monster walked up next to his master, before he looked down and saw new Duel Sprits that he's never seen before. "Who are these new Duel Spirits?" Star-Eyes questioned his teacher, wondering who these new Duel Spirits are.
"Most of them are old friends of mine and everyone else, while the rest are new Duel Spirits that we've never seen before. Like how Yusei has reunited with his old friends, I've reunited with a few old friends of mine". Stardust told his student as he looked down at the Aromages' garden, where he saw Lyrilusc – Assembled Nightingale help Aromaseraphy Rosemary water a Star flower.
Star-Eyes looked down at the Aromage garden and saw Nightingale, getting him to look like he was smiling. "So, this is your student, Stardust?" A female voice questioned from behind the master and student, getting Stardust and Star-Eyes to turn around to look at who said that. Flying a bit above the two dragons was Black Rose Dragon, Life Stream Dragon and Ascension Sky Dragon.
Stardust smiled at seeing his friends, while Star-Eyes slightly widened his eyes in surprise at seeing Black Rose Dragon and Life Stream Dragon. "So this is your student, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon correct?" Life Stream questioned his comrade as he and Black Rose Dragon landed 5 feet away from Stardust and Star-Eyes. Ascension Sky Dragon stayed in the air, too big to fit on the edge.
"In this form, he's known as Star-Eyes Savior Dragon". Stardust corrected his old friend, turning his attention to Star-Eyes as he held his left claw out to his old friends. "Star-Eyes, these are my old friends, Black Rose Dragon and Life Stream Dragon". The Signer Dragon introduced his student to his old friends, before he turned to look at his comrades.
Black Rose Dragon stretched a thorny vine out to Star-Eyes and held it in front of him, as if it was a handshake. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Star-Eyes". Black Rose Dragon greeted her mate's student with her sharp teeth grin, making Star-Eyes slightly nervous as he took hold of her vine with his right hand. "The pleasure is mine, my lady". Star-Eyes greeted Black Rose Dragon, his voice had a hint of nervousness in it.
The FIRE Synchro Monster kept her grin as she turned to look at Stardust. "Looks like someone taught their student some manners". Black Rose Dragon teased her mate, making Stardust slightly narrow his eyes at her. "Hahaha". Stardust faked laugh with sarcasm in his voice, making Black Rose Dragon giggle.
"I am Life Stream Dragon. It is an honor to meet the one who became Stardust's student". Life Stream Dragon greeted Star-Eyes with a respectful tone as he held his right hand out for a handshake. Star-Eyes accepted Life Stream's handshake, looking more at ease than he did with Black Rose Dragon. "The honor is all mine to meet my master's comrades". The Synchro Pendulum Monster replied to the Synchro Tuner Monster as they let go of each other's hands.
"Star-Eyes, go on down and join the others. We'll join you momentarily". Stardust told his apprentice, getting Star-Eyes to look at his master and nod to him. "Very well master. I'll be with Nightingale if you need me". Star-Eyes told his master, before he spread his wings and took off to the Aromage garden to join the female Xyz Monster.
Stardust, Black Rose, Life Stream and Ascension Sky Dragon all watched Star-Eyes fly away before he left their sights. "This really takes the term 'Like Duelist, like Duel Spirit' to a whole new level. Just like Yusei and Yuya, you and Star-Eyes are master and apprentice. Not to mention Star-Eyes and Nightingale are deeply attracted to each other". Ascension Sky commented with what appeared to be a smile on his face, getting Stardust, Black Rose Dragon and Life Stream Dragon to look up at their old comrade.
"He has a point there". Life Stream stated with a nod, getting Ascension Sky Dragon to look at him. "After all these years, you act as if we've never been separated. I'm still having trouble to believe that you're here, Ascension Sky". Black Rose Dragon said with a happy tone, showing how happy she was to see their old friend again.
"Like I've said before Black Rose, this is no illusion. I'm real and here with you all". Ascension Sky told his old comrade as he used the tip of his tail to lift her chin so that they could make eye contact. Stardust let out a threatening growl, which didn't even fazed Ascension Sky, but made him chuckle as he removed his tail from Black Rose Dragon's chin. "I know Stardust, she's yours now. I'm honestly surprised that you two finally found the courage to confess your feelings for each other". The Synchro Dragon-Type said in an amused tone, making Stardust lose his anger.
The Signer Dragon turned around and looked up at the clear, but slightly dark sky as it began to snow with snowflakes falling from the sky. "I wonder how Ancient Fairy, Black-Winged and Red Dragon Archfiend are doing". Stardust said with a look of wonder on his face as he wondered about his remaining comrades. "Knowing Red Dragon Archfiend, he's probably training for his rematch against you". Life Stream Dragon commented, getting Stardust to look over his shoulder to look at his comrade.
"Ancient Fairy Dragon is probably having her own kind of festival and Black-Winged is just flying around, enjoying himself". Black Rose Dragon said as she walked up next to Stardust and wrapped her tail around his, being careful not to stab him with one of her thrones. "If they are having fun at this moment, shouldn't we be do the same?" Ascension Sky questioned, flying above his comrades to look down the edge at all the Duel Spirits.
"You're probably right Ascension Sky. Besides, it is Christmas and that is a time of celebration. Come!" Life Stream Dragon exclaimed as he spread his wings and took off to join the other Duel Spirits. "Wait up Life Stream". The LIGHT Dragon-Type Synchro Monster said as he flew after his comrade to join the celebrations.
Stardust and Black Rose Dragon were left alone on the mountain, watching as Life Stream and Ascension Sky Dragon fly into the forest where the Lyrilusc and Windwitches live, probably to fly around. "It's at times like this that I wished our journey ended with the battle against the Timelords". The FIRE Dragon-Type Synchro Monster confessed to her mate, getting Stardust to look at her for a moment before he went back to looking down the mountain.
"I can understand why you would want that, but I don't regret joining this war. Because of it, I was able to meet Winter Bell and Nightingale. I even met my apprentice. Even from a terrible situation, good comes from it". Stardust told his mate, looking down at the Aromage garden where he saw Star-Eyes and Nightingale talking to each other with the Synchro Pendulum Dragon-Type wrapping his tail around the Xyz Monster's waist.
Black Rose Dragon looked down in thought for a few moments, before she nodded. "I understand your point of view. After all, Life Stream Dragon came back to us in a terrible situation and saved his Signer, Luna, Jack, Ancient Fairy Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend". The female dragon said with her crazy looking grin, making Stardust look like he was smiling.
"Indeed. And now even our old friend, Ascension Sky Dragon has return to us. Soon Ancient Fairy Dragon, Red Dragon Archfiend and Black-Winged Dragon will join us in the battle against Duel Academy, the Supreme King and our old enemy". The WIND Dragon-Type Synchro Monster said to his mate, getting her to look at his face before she leaned in and licked his cheek in an affectionate way.
"And I will be here by your side". The female dragon told her mate, making Stardust look at her before he gave her an affectionate lick. "I know you will". Stardust replied to his mate with a happy look, one that Black Rose Dragon returned. The two dragons went back to watching the other Duel Spirits enjoy themselves, content with being near each other.
(Fusion Dimension)
The sky was snowing down on Duel Academy Island with many students outside, enjoying themselves by Dueling, making snowmen, snow angels or having a snowball fight. Normally, they weren't allowed to celebrate Christmas, but the Professor, Leo Akaba has allowed it for his students to enjoy themselves. Unknown to them was that this was a plan of Leo Akaba to regain favor with the public. He's lost favor with the public ever since his encounter with Yusei Fudo and things haven't been the same since. For example, not many people join Duel Academy like before and some people have requested their kids to come back home. So to regain favor, he's allowed the students of Duel Academy to celebrate Christmas, have fun and even contact their families.
Outside of the building, Celina was walking down the courtyard, looking at all her fellow students enjoying themselves around her. Celina was wearing a short pleated red skirt with a pink vest with yellow trim. The vest was brought in by a wide black belt with a square gold buckle. Over it she wore a hooded, short red swing coat with a white fur trim. She had white fur wristbands and purple tights with black ankle boots. Her bracelet was still on her right waist.
Celina originally planned to just spend Christmas in her normal Duel Academy clothes and just focus on her studies, but the owner of Duel Academy's card shop, Ms. Dorothy had insisted that she had fun and enjoy Christmas. She even gave Celina some new clothes to use and two presents for her.
The 14-year-old girl temporally stopped walking as she looked at two Slifer Red students throwing snowballs at each other. 'I really don't understand this Christmas thing? Who invented it anyway? And who the heck is this Santa Claus?' The indigo haired girl thought to herself, thinking about what Ms. Dorothy had told her about Christmas.
'Honestly I see no reason to celebrate this whole thing'. Celina thought to herself as she continued walking, heading back inside. The 14-year-old girl's thoughts changed to the presents that Ms. Dorothy gave her. The Lunalight Duelist reached into her coat with her left hand and brought out a purple wrapped up present that had Yuri's name on it. Dorothy had told her that this present was for her to give to Yuri, much to Celina's confusion as she didn't know why she went through the trouble of doing that. But as pointless as she thought about it, Celina didn't seem to mind giving Yuri a present.
'Alright, let's go over this again. Dorothy told me that this gift was for me to give to Yuri and when I do, I'm supposed to say 'Merry Christmas' or whatever'. The teenage girl thought to herself with narrowed eyes, before her attention shifted when she heard footsteps on her left. Celina turned to look left and saw Gloria Tyler and Zane Trusedale down the hall.
Gloria was wearing her casual outfit, while Zane Trusedale was wearing a black overcoat with white trimmings and sharp edges. The letter "R" is centered on his belt buckle, black long pants with red lines and black boots. Celina watched as Gloria and Zane gave each other a present with both of them having happy smiles and a weird look in their eyes that Celina has never seen before.
Then, Gloria slowly wrapped her arms around Zane's neck, while he wrapped his arms around her waist with both of them pressing against each other. Slowly, the two leaned towards each other before they claimed their lips in a loving kiss, getting Celina to raise an eyebrow at them. 'Is that another thing about Christmas? You have to lock lips with the person you're giving a present to?' The Lunalight Duelist thought to herself in confusion, before she shrugged her shoulders and continued on her way to Yuri's room.
5 minutes later, Celina arrived outside of Yuri's quarters. She wasted no time and pushed the door right open. "Hey Yuri, you there!?" Celina called out, walking into the room without waiting for a response. Yuri's room was pretty simple; it had a bed, a desk and a wardrobe. Yuri was sitting down on a chair in front of his desk with his deck in his hands, indicating that he was looking through it, but right now he was looking at Celina with an annoyed look on his face. He was wearing his normal outfit as always.
"Haven't you ever heard of something called knocking?!" Yuri questioned in an annoyed tone, watching Celina as she walked in and sat down on his bed as if she owned the place. "I have actually; I just don't see the need to do it with you". Celina replied to the Predaplant Duelist, before she took notice of his cards in his hand.
"You're looking through your deck again?!" The Lunalight Duelist said in surprise, getting Yuri to grit his teeth, before he went back to looking through his deck. "I need to think about every scenario and every combination I can make with my cards so that the next time I see Yusei Fudo, I'll destroy him!" Yuri told her as he continued to look through his cards, his eyes taking in every detail. Celina sighed at seeing him like it. Yuri's been like this ever since his Duel and defeat by Yusei Fudo, he's been training as hard as he could and rarely takes time off. But that's only because she forces him to take time off.
"You know its Christmas today, right? Ms. Dorothy told me that today was a day to celebrate, spend time with your 'loved' ones and just relax. As much as I hate spending a day without Dueling, Ms. Dorothy convinced me to take today off. You should do the same, just take a day off". The Lunalight Duelist told her 'friend' as she positioned her right leg over her left leg.
"I don't have time to waste. Yusei Fudo is probably getting stronger as we speak and I can't afford to waste time! I have to beat him to regain my honor as a Duelist!" The 14-year-old boy exclaimed, beginning to place his cards on the desk one by one. Celina sighed with her eyes closed at hearing Yuri's response, before she brought out his present with her right hand.
"Then at least take this". Celina said with her eyes half closed in annoyance, getting Yuri to raise an eyebrow as he began to turn around to face her. "Take what-?" Yuri began, before he was cut off as he caught the purple wrapped up present in his hands. The Predaplant Duelist looked at the present for a moment, before he looked up at Celina. "Ms. Dorothy told me that in Christmas, you give presents to people you care about. I honestly don't understand it, but I don't see the harm of giving you a present". The Lunalight Duelist told her friend as she leaned down backwards and laid down on Yuri's bed.
Yuri widened his eyes in surprise, before he looked down at the present in his hands. "I… you… well… thanks". Yuri thanked Celina as his cheeks turned a bit red, making Celina wave her right hand. "No problem". The female teenager replied to Yuri, but she was lightly smiling. Yuri looked down at the present in his hand, before he slowly began to unwrap it. Soon he tore the wrapping off to reveal the present, making him widen his eyes at what he saw.
Inside the wrapping were three cards, more exact three new Predaplant cards he didn't have. The three cards were the Fusion Monster Predaplant Triphyoverutum, the monster Predaplant Heliamphorhynchus and the Spell card Predaprime Fusion. Yuri looked down at the three cards as his mind worked immediately figured out new strategies with these cards.
Yuri's eyes were covered by his bangs as he placed his three new cards down, before he stood up from his chair, getting Celina's attention. The 14-year-old boy walked over to his wardrobe and opened it, revealing more copies of his outfit and shoes, but at the bottom of it were two wrapped up present. Yuri picked up the blue wrapped up present, before he tossed over past his shoulder to Celina, which the female caught with her right hand.
"What's this?" The Lunalight Duelist questioned, staring at the present that she was holding with her right hand above her. "It's… my present for you". Yuri answered her, getting Celina to slightly widen her eyes in surprise as she sat up from lying down on the bed. "I thought you couldn't care less about Christmas". Celina said to Yuri, her eyes on the present in her hand, before she turned to look at her 'friend'.
"Ms. Dorothy gave me that present and told me to give it to you". Yuri revealed to the female as he picked up the second present, before he walked back to his desk and retook his seat. Celina raised an eyebrow at Yuri's words. "Really? She actually did the same with me and told me to give that present to you". Celina told Yuri as she began to unwrap the present, making Yuri lightly smile. "Guess we both owe her one". Yuri stated as he began to unwrap his second present. Celina tore the wrapping off her present, revealing what was inside and her eyes widened at what she saw.
Like with Yuri's present, there were cards inside. There was a Fusion Monster called Lunalight Sabre Dancer, two monsters called Lunalight Yellow Marten and Emerald Bird, a Trap called Lunalight Serenade Dance and finally, a Spell called Lunalight Fusion. "I guess we do". Celina said with wide eyes of surprise, feeling very grateful to Ms. Dorothy. However, that was when she remembered something.
Celina placed her new cards down on the bed, before she jumped off it and walked towards Yuri, who was about to open his second present. "Yuri". The Lunalight Duelist said to the Predaplant Duelist, getting Yuri to raise an eyebrow as he began to turn around to face her. "What is it now, Celin-!" Yuri began, only for him to stop with his eyes wide as Celina placed her hands on his cheeks and…
Kissed him!
Yuri's cheeks turned bright red from Celina's unexpected actions, while she had her eyes closed. The female kept kissing Yuri for 10 seconds, before she pulled away with a completely natural face, as if she wasn't bothered by her actions. The same couldn't be said for Yuri as steam was coming out of his head. "W-W-What the heck is wrong with you!?" The Predaplant Duelist exclaimed in embarrassment, making Celina raise her right eyebrow at him.
"What's up with you?" Celina questioned in a completely normal tone, keeping her hands on Yuri's cheeks. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'WHAT'S UP WITH YOU?' WHAT MADE YOU KISS ME?" Yuri exclaimed with wide anime eyes, making Celina tilt her head to the side. "I saw Zane Truesdale and Gloria Tyler do this after they gave each other presents, so I thought this was something everybody does". Celina explained to Yuri with a clueless look on her face.
Yuri let out an exhausted sight, before he turned to look at Celina. "You seriously need to get out more often". The Predaplant Duelist told Celina, getting her to tilt her head again in confusion, but he found that cute. 'Honestly, when did I start liking you?' Yuri thought to himself as he looked away so that Celina doesn't see his blushing face.
(In the Synchro Dimension)
Just like with the Standard and Fusion Dimensions, it was snowing for the Synchro Dimension. Snow was falling from the sky down to New Domino City on both the Tops District and Commoners district. In the Commons district at an orphanage, Yugo was in his room, sitting down on a chair in front of a desk.
He was wearing a blue sleeveless shirt, black shorts and was barefooted. The Speedroid Duelist was celebrating Christmas in his room, while all the other kids and caretaker were celebrating in the living room. Normally he would join them, but he just didn't have the spirit without Rin. Without the girl he loved, he wouldn't have celebrated Christmas, but he knew that she'd want him to celebrate it even without her. So, he'd honor her wishes and celebrate Christmas.
Yugo sighed as he leaned his head down on the desk, his heart feeling empty without his precious Rin-Rin. "I miss you, Rin-Rin". Yugo whispered in sadness, tears beginning to well up within his eyes. The blue and yellow haired boy sat up, before he turned around to look at small Christmas tree that only had two presents. One of them was his present for Rin and the other was a present for him from Santa.
Yugo got up from his chair and walked over to the Christmas tree. He knelt down and picked up his present. He wasted no time and immediately tore the wrapping and ribbon off, revealing cards inside. There was a Synchro Monster called Hi-Speedroid Kitedrake, two Trap cards called Synchro Baton and Synchro Big Tornado, finally there was the Spell Synchro Transcend.
These cards were really rare, but Yugo felt no joy. What his heart really desired was to see Rin again with his own eyes. However, that was when he noticed a letter on the ground. "A letter? It must have fallen from the present". Yugo said as he knelt down and picked the letter up with his right hand, holding his new cards with his left hand. On the front of the letter, Yugo saw his name on the front of the letter. "Is this for me?" The Speedroid Duelist questioned , before he tore the front of the letter off and picked the message up.
"Dear Yugo, Merry Christmas. I know that you don't really feel like celebrating Christmas without your friend, but you shouldn't let that drown your Christmas spirit. Your friend Rin would want you to celebrate it with your friends. I can't bring you your friend as your Christmas gift, but I can tell you this. You'll see her again in a week or two, I promise. Merry Christmas, love Santa Clause!" Yugo read the message with wide eyes, his heart filling with hope with each word he read.
At the end, he was crying tears of joy at hearing he'll see Rin again. He wiped his tears away with his left arm, before he looked at the letter again. "Santa is right. I shouldn't be in here all miserable. I'm gonna celebrate Christmas because that would what Rin would want me to do". Yugo said with a grin on his face as he held up his left fist, his despair replaced with hope.
The Speedroid Duelist placed the letter and his new cards down on his desk, before he ran to his door, opened it, then ran out to join the other orphans in celebrating Christmas.
(Yusei's world)
Snow fell from the sky towards New Domino City, bringing joy towards its citizens and children. At the Fountain Plaza in the garage was Jack, Crow and Luna, the three remaining Signers celebrating Christmas. The whole building was filled with Christmas lights all over the place and there was a Christmas tree filled with presents underneath it near the entrance.
Crow was standing in the middle of the garage, cooking a BBQ with shish kebab, ham, steak and burgers. Jack was inside the garage, leaning against the wall and was looking through his cards in his hand. Luna was sitting down at a table, eating a plate of ham, rice and shish kebab. Things have really changed since Akiza, Kalin and Leo left to help Yusei in his battle against Duel Academy and the Supreme King Z-arc. Crow started telling jokes again, Jack had regained his fighting spirit and Luna was smiling the way she was used to again.
Ever since their fellow Signers and Kalin were sent to the Standard Dimension, the three Signers have been working on their Dueling strategies and their new cards for when they're called to join the battle. Of course, they haven't lost sight of their normal lives; they're just expecting to be called upon soon to join the battle. Out of the three of them, Luna's life has been the most different as her twin brother was no longer by her side for the moment. Jack and Crow have done their best to look after the 12-year-old girl, but they knew that they couldn't compare to Leo. All they could do was just wait to be called upon to join the battle and reunite with their friends.
Right now, the three remaining Signers had decided to have Christmas together at the garage that Jack, Crow and Yusei lived in. All three of them were wearing their casual outfits and not their Duel Runner outfits. Speaking of Duel Runners, Jack and Crow's Duel Runners were parked to the far side. Luna's Duel Board was right next to them.
Crow smirked as he used tongs to pick up a piece of ham and placed it in a plate. The Blackwinged Duelist looked over his left shoulder to look at Luna and gave her a smile. "Hey Luna, are you enjoying yourself over there?" Crow questioned the younger Signer, getting Luna to look up at him with a smile. "I am actually. Can I have some more ham please?" Luna requested with a smile, making Crow chuckle at her. "Coming right up". The Blackwing Duelist said, picking up another shish kebab stick with the tongs and placed it on the plate next to the ham.
Crow took hold of the plate with his left hand, before he turned around and walked up to the table. He placed the disk in front of Luna, before he ruffled her hair with his right hand. "Here ya go, kiddo". Crow said with a grin on his face, one that Luna returned. "Thank you Crow". The female Signer thanked the older Signer, before she grabbed the shish kebab stick and began enjoying herself.
Crow watched Luna enjoy herself, before he turned to look at Jack, who was still looking through his deck. "Jack! Take a break from looking through your deck and enjoy yourself! It's Christmas and Christmas is a time to kick back and relax". Crow told his old friend, getting Jack to look up at him with narrowed eyes.
"Yeah? Well I'm not feeling up to it, so go away!" The blond Signer replied to his old friend, before he went back to looking through his deck. Crow sighed at Jack's response, before he walked over to his old friend. He wrapped his left arm around Jack's shoulder and pulled him close, making Jack growl at his old friend. "I told you to go away!" Jack hissed at the Blackwing Duelist, who just held his right hand's index finger in front of his mouth, telling him to be quiet.
"Jack, I understand why you're on guard. We have no idea when we'll be called on to help Yusei, Akiza, Kalin and Leo battle Duel Academy and that dragon king, but right now something else needs our help". Crow began to tell his old friend, before he gestured to Luna with his head, getting Jack to look at the 12-year-old girl with a soft gaze. "It's been hard for her ever since Leo left with Akiza and Kalin. We gotta do our best to look after her until we join up with the others". The Blackwing Duelist continued with a frown on his face, making Jack look down in a bit of shame.
"We're not her brothers, Crow". The former champion reminded his old friend, but the Blackwing Duelist didn't lose heart. "That may be true, but we're still her friends. It's our job to look after her, or else Leo will kill us if he sees Luna all depressed". Crow told the blond haired Signer, getting Jack to raise an eyebrow at him.
"He's a 12-year-old kid. What could he possibly do to us?" Jack questioned the orange haired male, who shrugged his right hand. "No idea to be honest. But I'd rather not find out. Come on Jack, just for today". Crow begged his old friend with a pleading look, getting Jack to lightly growl with his eyebrows twitching.
After a few seconds, Jack gave a defeated sigh. "All right, you win Crow". The former champion told his old friend, making Crow grin in victory as he let go of Jack and stepped back to look at him. "Thanks Jack". The Signer thanked his fellow Signer, making the blond haired man glare at him with anime white angry eyes. "But you owe me a Blue-Eyes Coffee for this!" Jack exclaimed at Crow, making him burst out laughing and Luna look over her left shoulder to look at them.
"Sure, I'll get you a Blue-Eyes Coffee, even two while I'm at it!" Crow laughed out as he and Jack walked over to the table and to Luna, who was looking at them in confusion. Unknown to the three Signers was that their ace monsters, Red Dragon Archfiend, Black-Winged Dragon and Ancient Fairy Dragon were watching them from above.
'Look at our partners Red Dragon, doing their best to look after Ancient Fairy's partner'. Black-Winged Dragon chuckled with an amused look, getting Red Dragon Archfiend to glare at him. 'Shut your trap!' The DARK Dragon-Type Synchro Monster snapped at his friend, before he looked at Ancient Fairy Dragon and saw the sad look on her face.
'Is something wrong Ancient Fairy?' Red Dragon Archfiend questioned his comrade, getting Black-Winged Dragon to look at the LIGHT Dragon-Type Synchro Monster. Ancient Fairy Dragon was silent as she watched Crow tell a joke to Luna, making her laugh, before she sighed. 'After so long, all of us finally reunited, but then Stardust and Yusei left to fight another battle. Now Black Rose and Life Stream left with their Duelists, leaving us with our Duelists alone. I feel as if it is unfair that we've been separated again, only worse than before'. Ancient Fairy Dragon explained to her two comrades, her tail slightly lower than before as a sign of her sadness.
'Ancient Fairy, there was a good reason why Stardust, Black Rose and Life Stream left us. Innocent people were suffering, some power hungry dragon was close to being revived and you know who's back. Besides, we'll join them soon. Our lord just need a bit more time to regain some energy'. Black-Winged Dragon told his fellow dragon in a comforting tone, flying a bit closer and used one of his feathers to rub her back. '…I still think it's unfair'. Ancient Fairy Dragon stated, her eyes locked on Luna, who was looking at Jack. Both Red Dragon Archfiend and Black-Winged Dragon looked at each other for a moment, before they looked back at Ancient Fairy Dragon with a concerned look.
(Later at the Standard Dimension)
Back at Paradise City in the You Show Duel School, everybody was enjoying themselves. Inside at the moment was Yuya, Lulu, Rin, Zuzu, Gong, Tate, Frederick, Allie, Sora, Yoko, Skip, Leo and Kalin. Everyone was wearing their casual outfits with the only exception being Lulu, Yuya and Zuzu. Well to be more exact for Zuzu, she was wearing her new outfit that she replaced her old one.
Zuzu was now wearing a white fitted sleeveless shirt with a collar and a red tie with a green music note on the left, tucked into a short fitted red skirt with navy over the knee stockings with white patterned trim at the top and pink combat boots. She also wore a sheer white sleeveless open jacket and a brown belt.
Lulu was wearing her elf outfit, only she was carrying a brown bag with presents inside and Yuya was wearing a red Santa outfit. He had a red Santa hat, a red hooded cape with white fur trim, a red shirt with a white fur trim and three separate belts, brown full hand gloves, red long pants and black boots. He had his goggles on and was carrying a brown sack. Both him and Lulu were handing out presents to everyone, much to the kids' happiness.
Earlier that morning in the Fudo household, Yusei had found Lulu and Rin just waking up in their room. The Shooting Star of Satellite told the two to get ready, which they nodded to him before they took separate turns in the shower. Next, Yusei found Kalin and Leo in the guest rooms and woke them up.
Later on that morning, after everyone was properly dressed, they had a Christmas breakfast together with Lulu and Akiza serving everyone. Then Lulu, Rin and Leo opened up their presents under the Christmas tree first, then Yusei, Kalin and Akiza took their turn. Later on at 12:30pm, they all went out to head to the You Show Duel School where the Christmas party was to take place.
They arrived at 1:00pm, where everyone was waiting for them. It was there where Yusei, Lulu and Rin introduced Akiza, Leo and Kalin to everyone. Akiza, Leo and Kalin all greeted everyone friendly, even Sora. Yusei already told them that he suspected Sora to be a member of Duel Academy and warned them to keep an eye on him. The three understood and kept their eyes on the Fusion User.
Akiza got along well with Zuzu, Yoko and Allie, Leo got along with Frederck and Tate, finally Kalin became friends with Skip and Gong. 4 hours has passed since the party started and the party was still going strong. Right now, outside the You Show Duel School, Yusei was sitting down on the bench, looking up at the orange sky as the sun was beginning to set. "Yusei?" A familiar voice said to the Shooting Star of Satellite, getting Yusei's attention as he looked over his left shoulder to see Akiza standing at the top of the staircase.
"What is it Akiza?" Yusei asked his fellow Signer, watching Akiza as she walked down the stairs and sat down next to him. "What are you doing out here? Why aren't you inside?" The former Black Rose Witch questioned her boyfriend, wondering why he's outside and not inside. Yusei looked up at the sky as he thought back to the past events that have happened since he arrived in the Standard Dimension.
"I'm thinking about everything that's happened. I'm still finding it hard to believe that all that happened. And we're not even half done yet". Yusei began as he looked down at the lake in front of him. "There's still so much left to do, like the Arc League Championships and who knows what else". He continued as he looked at his covered right forearm where his mark is. "There's so many possibilities that I can't even think up. Who knows who I'll face next? Maybe it could be an old enemy, a new one or even something else". The 19-year-old finished with a sigh, before he leaned back to look up at the sky above.
Akiza listened to her boyfriend very careful and couldn't help but agree with him. She had no knowledge of who or what they'll face next, but she was certain of one thing. "I don't know what the future has in store for us, but I am certain of one thing Yusei. You won't be alone". Akiza told her boyfriend as she leaned her head on Yusei's left shoulder and wrapped her arms around his arm.
Yusei looked at Akiza through the corner of his left eye for a moment, before he looked back up at the sky and smirked at seeing something. "I couldn't agree more". Yusei said with a confident smirk, getting Akiza curious as she opened her eyes and looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was looking up at the sky. Getting more curious, the former Black Rose Witch looked up at the sky and saw Stardust Dragon and Black Rose Dragon above them, giving their Duelists happy looks.
Akiza gave a smile at the two Dragon-Type Synchro Monsters, before they disappeared and returned to the Spirit World, leaving Yusei and Akiza alone. "Yusei, Akiza". A familiar female voice said out loud, getting Yusei and Akiza to look up at the staircase and saw Yuya and Lulu up at the top. "What are you guys doing out here?" Yuya questioned as he and Lulu walked down the stairs and up to the two adults.
"We're just having a conversation with each other". Yusei answered his student, standing up from the bench with Akiza. "We were just finishing up". The female Signer added, walking up to Lulu and helped her tuck a stray of hair into her hat. "What were you guys talking about?" Yuya asked in a curious tone, wondering what his teacher and his girlfriend were talking about.
"Don't worry, it's nothing important. Let's just go back inside and enjoy the party". Yusei replied to his student, before he walked passed Yuya and Lulu and began walking up the stairs back to the You Show Duel School building. "Yusei! Come on, what were you guys talking about?!" Yuya questioned his master, running after the Shooting Star of Satellite. Akiza and Lulu watched the two males with smiles, before they looked at each other. The two females nodded to each other, before they went after their boyfriends.
The future was full of mystery and many possibilities, be good or bad possibilities, nobody ever knows. But that is what makes the future so exciting, especially with the people you love.
Done, I hope you all enjoyed this story. Now I understand you may have a few questions, like what were Celina and Yuri's second presents, but that's a secret. I understand that some of you may be disappointed with the fact that Yusei didn't Duel, but I figured I'd let him get a pass on this one. Now concerning Ascension Sky Dragon, I did some research on him after reading a view and found out that he's Goodwin's manga dragon. So I decided to have him be an old friend and comrade of Stardust and the others.
If any of you are gonna ask why I didn't do the Xyz Dimension is because I have a few surprises there that I don't want to spoil just yet. Now I have something I want to ask. How do you want Yusei to reunite with his old friends in his world? Him returning to his world, or the Crimson Dragon sending Akiza, Kalin and Leo to the Standard Dimension after explaining things to them. I'm fine with either one and got them already planned. And about santa, I used the santa design from Rise of the Guardians as that was a favorite of mine. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a Christmas to spend with my family. See you all next year.
