Here we are now. I was thinking about Chris Rodriguez, but I like Beckendorf more. He's nice. And some stuff like that. Unfortunately, there's probably a morbid ending, we'll see how it goes. Chris Rodriguez will come, sometime...
Daughter of Sally Jackson: Pirate...hmm. LOL. Unfortunately, she was not writing to any pirates, though that would be fun...
Multi fandom geekerello: Well, it's Drew, what do you expect. After all, she isn't that nice to people in the books- she tried to break up Jasper- she's not the nicest teen demigod at Camp Half-Blood, to say the least about her. And I am not the best at making redeeming qualities for people I don't really like. Oop. Crud. Well. I was going to write about Beckendorf but then I typed this response and had a better idea, cheers. Back to the response, though. Anyway, I don't know what Mean Girls is...so...thanks? And yeah. Mira was rude, Drew couldn't let her one-up her and became increasingly desperate to knock her down a peg. Yes. Demeter is good. She's one of my favorites. *looks at sky* NO OFFENSE TO ALL YOU OTHERS, I LOVE YOU TOO! *sighs in relief* I should be good. And yes. She is beautiful. EWW. Why would you bring that up on my happy reviews page? Which admittedly doesn't have many reviews but still. Nu. We do not talk about those evil things. But yeah. Mira is always fully and completely her trademarked self. Even if she isn't trademarked, but don't steal her. As said before. Enneagram type four. She isn't afraid to be blatant her as she already knows exactly who or what she is. Yes. THANKS FOR THE REVIEW!
Multi fandom geekerello's review #2: Yeah, Lou Ellen's nice. And yes. I do know, from Tempus. He's an interesting dude. Friendly, but also...yeah. Basically all the stuff you said, as you do know him better. Mira's always amazing. Cool and mysterious. Sure. Yup. Also, I didn't know that Leila, daughter of Ceres, existed but there ya go. Mira's half sister on the mother's Roman side, so yeah. I just meant a Fourth Cohort centurion in general...but yeah. That's a nice Easter Egg or something. Yes. Cool, and related as they are. And yes. Mira does know her Roman half sister.
...so, I should confess something. You know how in the 'Story Properties' tab or something it gives you a list of characters? I scroll randomly and stop on some schmuck and if I like 'em, I use 'em. Yay, funsies!
Mira is mysterious. You aren't supposed to know everything.
Perhaps it's the dance off season, or Mira took time off for the Giant War, hmm?
Multi fandom geekerello's review #3: *shrugs* There's so much going on in poor Rachel's mind by that point, she overlooked it and just wanted what help she could get. *shrugs again* Look at the last sentence again. Rachel just had to go with the flow, you think Mira would've answered? ...she wouldn't have, by the way. *shrugs again* And I dunno. Was she attacking Mount Othrys...or Mount Olympus?
Multi fandom geekerello's review #4: Okay, thanks. And yeah...fun isn't really the great reaction, but it'll do.
SO. SORRY FOR THAT. I WAS GOING TO DO BECKENDORF BUT I HAVE NOW REALIZED WHO I REALLY HAVE TO HAVE WRITE TO MY MIRA.
IF YOU CAN FIND THE MORTAL FRIENDSHIPS EASTER EGG, YOU WIN A FREE MORTAL FRIENDSHIPS BASED ONE SHOT. I know. Sad prize. But still. *cough* If no one finds it, I'll be sad *cough* And I'll tell you what it is.
Also, this is a special chapter. It's not just letters...this time.
I apologize for our character of the chapter being OOC.
Dear Mira Green, from Mr. Castellan:
Dear Mira Green, September 14
Well, Mira, it's nice to see you again. When did we last correspond? It's been a while, at least. But I have news, on the New York front. I don't believe you've come out of your mortal world in a while, so here's some news.
Where to start. Well. Thalia Grace, she's alive. Not a tree anymore, but a Hunter of Artemis. It's a good thing, too. I was glad to hear the news.
I'm not sure what else you may have heard. There have been...certain rumors that circulated around me. However, I trust you can find what is real and what is wrong, that is what I got from you the last time we met.
On another hand, I will be in the city by the Bay in six days, I have a class to teach in a local high school there and some demigod business to attend to. If you'd like to meet up- Laguna and 'Frisco aren't too far away- tell me in the next letter.
Luke Castellan
Mira narrowed her eyes thoughtfully. A meetup with Luke Castellan, the soon-to-be host of Kronos- or so she'd heard at Camp Half-Blood in her summer trip to New York- in San Francisco, the home of Mount Othrys? Dangerous. Luke's territory. But...Mira had also walked the streets of cities just as feral as a beggar and more dangerous.
Game on, Mr. Luke Castellan.
Dear Mr. Castellan, September 16
I'm actually not too sure, Luke. A year ago? Two? Whatever the case, it's been much too long. I took a summer trip to Camp a few weeks ago, but besides that...not really. Walking the streets, you know.
Thalia Grace. That's interesting, very interesting. The Hunters passed through, but not to my area.
I've heard enough, that's all I can really say at the moment. And the rumors circulating, well, they're very reliable. But I can find what's wrong and what's right from the rumors about you...
San Francisco, you say. Interesting. What are you teaching?
Mira Green
P.S: I'll be in San Francisco on September the Twenty First. Meet me in the Mitchell's ice cream shop at noon.
Two can play at this game, Mira Green thought to herself as she sealed the second letter. Curious, very, very curious.
Dear Mira Green, September 19
Maybe even three years ago...whatever the case. Camp? Surprising...I didn't think you had the resources to get all the way from California to New York, but it seems that I was wrong. Good for you, Miss Green. Good for you.
Yes. Walking the streets. It's a hard thing to do.
The Hunters passed through California? Huh. Didn't think they'd want to with all the rumors of suspicious Titan activity in the area. They do have guts, the Huntresses. Perhaps even more with Thalia in the front line. The daughter of Zeus, as you know, is quite brash.
The rumors are from Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, Miss Green, can you really trust them?
I'm teaching a Greek class at a high school as a special guest teacher, thank you for asking.
Luke Castellan
P.S: I'll be there.
Mira Green did, of course, know that Luke would be the host of Kronos, she knew not to trust his lies. But, of course, there was the fact that Luke had information Mira couldn't get from Camp Half-Blood or Olympus, and it was information that she desperately needed at the moment. If she didn't, a lot of things could happen. Camp might not be able to move fast enough. If Luke, and by extension Kronos, was able to control the Underworld and Death...many ghosts could roam free. Shades. Mira didn't want to see the ghosts roaming.
There was mild desperation in Luke's words to her in the letter marked September Nineteenth.
Come September the Twenty First, Mira Green sat in the Mitchell's ice cream shop at eleven. She had told Luke noon, yes, she knew that very well. But Mira was in the habit of showing up rather early to collect herself when she was stressed and this was definitely stressing her out, because this Luke was not the same Luke Mira Alycia Green met when he was on the street with Thalia Grace and Annabeth Chase, this Luke was very different and very dangerous.
She was eating pumpkin ice cream, a seasonal one at Mitchell's, and contemplating Luke, herself, and what she was doing by meeting Luke Castellan in an ice cream shop not far from Mount Othrys. Mira knew she had a death wish and while she didn't necessarily like the fact she embraced it and knew that the said death wish was probably not going to go away whatever the case.
If the gods knew, she'd probably be smited where she stood.
Or rather, sat.
You know I'm doing this for you, gods.
Luke was also early, though, of course...he had time on his side. He was fifteen minutes early, but didn't notice Mira, sitting there as if she'd just arrived, watching him. The start he gave when he saw her just sitting there, watching him.
"Mira."
"Luke." the silence was chilly, but not like ice cream, it was just as cold but with none of the fun.
"How have you been?" there is no friendship here, it's mere acquaintance. Now that Luke has seen her, she can tell that he can see her stance on things, and that her opinion of is not quite as high as he might have liked.
"I've been okay, how was the class?" her asking is polite, and he can see it but makes no note of it, at least outwardly.
"It was interesting. There was a double booking and a few people heckled me out of the class and the other guest teacher took over." he still had his shiny Luke Castellan charm; that was why he was such an interesting person that you wanted to get to know, but Mira had, as she had been told on more than one occasion, her pretty eyes and a shiny smile and if she couldn't work her way out of this than her name was Natalie.
It wasn't, by the way.
Her name was Mira.
Sometimes, they called her Mita.
But not very often.
"Well, that's never very nice." she said noncommittally, unsure of what really to say but offer a few lame, empty words. Letters were indirect but somehow much more meaningful than words said in person and however suave and confident Mira seemed in real life she wasn't all that great in person.
"So," Luke said, how's street life?" Mira lifted her chin.
"Actually, it's not really street life. Just because I'm not fully affiliated with Camp Half-Blood anymore because of Leighton's move here doesn't mean I'm a street urchin." She had some pride after all.
"Sure, sure." Luke was dismissive.
He always had been, but it bothered her now.
"Well, Mira," and he looked at her- really looked at her- then, "I have a proposition for you." Cold dread dwindled in Mira Green's stomach.
She appeared interested, to a regular eye. Mira was good with facial expressions...many things to do with appearance, really, thanks to Leighton. Of course...she wouldn't thank him for anything. "And, pray tell, what is this proposition?"
Luke was suddenly earnest and Mira suddenly very cold.
"I don't know what rumors you've heard, but we are going to bring about a revolution." she tried to look away, but his voice grew stronger. "Come on, Mira. You used to want a better future. An end to the unjust death, to the ignorance!"
Mira's voice was hardly a whisper.
"Goodbye, Luke."
She didn't think she'd be writing him anytime soon.
