The Gaang kept their eyes one the old firebender as they went in to land, just in case something happened.

Katara had uncapped her water pouch, Sokka had one hand on his space sword and the other on his boomerang, Suki had her fans at the ready, and Aang, Toph and Zuko were all ready if they need to bend right away. Even Momo had grabbed a stick and was holding it like a sword. But all the old firebender did was watch them come down and step back in order to make room for Appa to safely land.

Once the sky bison had landed, and Aang had jumped off, the firebender stepped up to greet them.

"Greetings Avatar and friends," the firebender said with a smile, "welcome to my island. Please, there is no need for fighting."

The Gaang eased enough so that way they could get down off of Appa, but they still kept their guards up.

Tell me, what brings you here."

"We are simply just passing by and were in need of a stop," Aang answered as the rest of the Gaang got down from Appa's back, "We had learned of you and thought that it may have been safe to stop here."

"Well you have guessed correctly. I would gladly offer safe harbor to and your friends."

Aang bowed, "Thank you. Your hospitality is very much appreciated."

"No, the pleasure is mine, young Avatar. It has been a great many years since I have seen an airbender, or a sky bison for that matter as I had still been a child when I last saw them," the old man smiled, "but, if my memory serves correct, I remember that they can be quite the company."

Author's Note;

Oof, sorry that one took so long to come out despite it being so short. I would have gotten it out sooner, but I was hit with sudden Finals and Christmas Prep. All and all this story isn't going to be that long, and I'm also going to be working on another Avatar fic. Sadly most of the Gaang that we know (meaning everyone other than Aang and Appa) (yes, that means no Momo too) won't be in it. Anyway Happy Holidays to everyone reading!
