"Oh, jingle bells,
Jingle bells,
Jingle all the way!" The kids sang as they constructed a massive sand castle on the beach, all wearing their swimsuits.
"Hawai-i's so san-dy,
You don't even need a sleigh!
Hey!"
Petunia, wearing a tube top swimsuit and a flowery patterned skirt over her lower half, walked across the beach to find Bob, carrying a drink in her right non-existent hand.
"He was supposed to be here around an hour ago when we went on that boat tour." Bob said to the cast, then turned to Petunia. "Ms. Rhubarb! You're married to Larry, did he say he was going anywhere?"
"Larry said he "had to defend his honor as a man and husband" or something like that." Petunia replied. "He said he'd pretty much be gone the whole day training for that surfing contest. But I'm sure he's fine...just hope he doesn't drink sea water like that last time."

Over on the other end of the beach, Larry began his training with Nalu. Larry was told to meet him near the edge of some jetties nearest the shoreline, with his own practice surfboard. Suddenly, from beneath the waves, Nalu emerged yet again, kinda freaking Larry out a bit.
"GAH!" Larry exclaimed. "QUIT DOIN' THAT!"
"Woah, woah, chillax, dude..." Nalu replied. "It's just me...and the sea.."
"—You've got a hermit crab on your head." Larry stared upwards.
"Oh—so I do." Nalu took the crab and let it skitter away across the sand. "Be free, little dude."
"So, when're we gonna start the training?" Larry asked.
"Woah, can't rush these things." Nalu replied. "First, we must talk about the life energy that flows through all we do. It helped my ancestors when they surfed, and they called it, "mana", or power."
"Yes, mana." Nalu replied. "Since you're like, a malihini, people think you're junk at surfing. But I'm thinkin' no way bruh! In my opinion, anyone can surf local style. They just need some kokua. Geev'um!"
"Uh..." Larry replied. "Can you repeat that?"
"—I think you can totally win the contest even though you're not from here." Nalu replied somewhat quickly. He perked up and started paddling towards the waves. "Now we go! CHEEE-HOOOOOOOOO!!"
