Chapter Four: A.R.G.U.S. and the TARDIS
The Doctor was lead by the two guards, with Lyla leading the group.
"Am I a prisoner?" The Doctor mumbled.
They walked for a while. They came to a building. Went around to the side. Lyla punched in a code, and the screen scanned her face. The door opened. They went inside. They walked through what looked like a lobby, and to an elevator. The elevator seemed out of service. Until Lyla put her thumb print on the button. It lit up, and the doors slid open. They walked inside and the elevator went down.
"Lyla," The Doctor said, "how did you move my TARDIS down here?"
The elevator doors opened, and The Doctor immediately fell to the ground. "AAAAAHH! THE NOISE. THE NOISE IS COMING FROM--" he went to reach for the sonic, but he fell down.
"This is where we keep our most dangerous research," Lyla said.
The Doctor looked around, as he tried to stand up. To the left, he saw the gorilla that was chasing everyone earlier, in a cage.
"Doctor." The gorilla was staring at him.
"Did that gorilla just talk?" The Doctor asked, standing to his feet.
"No," Lyla said. "Kind of. He's telepathic, in a way. He must be only speaking with you right now. I can't hear him. His name is Grodd."
"A telepathic gorilla. Great. And I thought Sontarans were ugly!"
"DOCTOR!" The Doctor heard Grodd again. "They have it. It's behind that door."
"My TARDIS is behind that door?!" The Doctor said out loud.
Immediately Lyla told the guards to shield Grodd's cage, to make him be quiet.
Grodd said quickly, "DOCTOR, IT'S BEHIND THAT DOOR! I've never seen anything like--" The guards sedated Grodd through the cage. One of them pressed a button and metal appeared all around the cage, closing off Grodd from their sight.
The Doctor started running towards the door. He was stopped by Lyla.
"Doctor, your TARDIS is over here."
She pointed to the right. And there she was. His TARDIS. Forgetting about the other door, The Doctor ran towards his TARDIS. He was stopped short by two more guards.
"THIS IS MY TARDIS! MOVE!" The Doctor demanded.
Lyla walked up to him. There was a loud noise near Grodd's cage. Everyone looked in horror, as the cage started sparking. Though he couldn't be seen, The Doctor heard Grodd say to him, "Doctor. They've captured it. It's behind that door--"
The guards sent volts of electricity through Grodd's cage, and The Doctor heard him no more.
"What exactly is behind that door?" The Doctor asked.
"Doctor, don't concern yourself with things that don't concern you," Lyla said.
Lyla told the guards to move. The Doctor hesitantly walked towards the TARDIS. He took out the key and slowly opened the door. Lyla was standing right by him, but before he could open the door fully, he decided to close it back up and put the key in his pocket.
"You know," The Doctor said, "you said don't concern myself with things that don't concern me. This very much concerns me."
Before anybody could react, The Doctor had taken out his sonic and pointed it at the door Grodd told him about.
The door slowly slid open and Lyla yelled, "EVERYONE GET DOWN! DOCTOR, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!"
Not heeding her warning, The Doctor ran over to the door. What he saw inside shook him to his core.
"Where did you find this?!" The Doctor screamed. "How do you have this?!"
Though chained, the creature was furious. It tried shaking off the chains before finally calming down and staring at The Doctor.
"Timelord," it said, in its shrill, computer sounding voice.
"DOCTOR, GET DOWN!" Lyla yelled. She motioned for the guard to go to a control panel. "Close that door!" she told him.
"You need to tell me, right NOW!" The Doctor was furious. "How does something called A.R.G.U.S. get its hands on a Dalek?!"
The Dalek stared at him. "Doctor," it said. "You. Must. Suffer!"
Seeming to draw electricity from the room, the Dalek let off this loud and unbearable noise. But this time, everyone heard it.
"EVERYONE WILL RECOGNIZE THE DALEKS AS THE SUPERIOR BEINGS. AND EVERYONE WILL BE EXTERMINATED."
The loud noise filled the room. Most of the energy seemed to be coming from Grodd's cage, as the Dalek somehow siphoned all the energy in the room. Grodd screamed and there was a large thud in his cage. The Dalek kept gaining power as the guard tried to hit a button on the control panel. Nothing. The Dalek's chains broke.
The Dalek looked somewhat like an evil salt shaker with a plunger, a whisk, and an eye stalk that was just staring at The Doctor.
It rolled up close to The Doctor and screamed, "DOCTOR, YOU WILL BE THE FIRST TO BE EXTERMINATED!"
