Greetings my loyal readers. Here it is, the next chapter for you all who have waited for a long long time. I hope you enjoy. Also just to note. I own nothing of this.
Chapter 2
When I awoke I found myself in a prison cell with several others who looked ready to tear me apart. From the other room I could hear the police were rushing about as you might expect. I got up and pope my neck and other joints for my escape. however The goons locked with me stood in my way.
"Hey buddy where you going?" A large biker guy asked me and I could tell this guy was trouble.
"Step aside." I ordered needing to find the kids.
"Hahahahaha. We got a tough guy here." He laugh as some more goons stood up gather around me.
"Leave him alone." A street punk said trying to stand up for me. My guess he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. However the kid was pushed back.
"I will not say again. Move!" I growled.
"I think you need to learn some manners kid." The guy said before pulling back to punch me. I held me ground as his fist came at me. I caught his fist with ease and strangely it looked like a holo bird claw formed on my hand. I them flung the guy over me and made him fall on a metal bench.
"You don't understand. I'm not locked up with you. Your locked in here with me." I growled. Two more guys came at me and I got ready. I kicked one in the balls elbowed the other in the jaw. As the first guy was clutching his nuts I kneed his head and grabbed the others' arms and pulled it out of the socket. He cried in pain and I ducked another who pulled out a blade. I ducked and activated my hidden blade and stabbed him in the gut and slammed him onto the ground. The others looked scared of me so they were back against the wall. "Stay out of trouble kid." I told the kid who stuck up for me. I then turned to the bars and waved my hand over them and made them melt.
I then used the mist to allow myself to walk out of the station with no trouble.
"Now what?" I asked myself. I had no clue where the kids were and frankly I was beyond pissed due to a certain cat.
"Need help?" I looked around to see who was talking to me but found no one. "Inside."
"Lord Chaos?" I thought.
"Nope. Although I am considered a different version of him."
"You're one of the Egyptain gods." I thought."But how did you get inside me?"
"Look at your hand." I did and noticed the mark was still there."That's my symbol. With it you called me."
"I didn't call you." I growled.
"Well you had it and freed me from my prison."
"Okay first who are you. And two get out."
"I am the most known Egyptian God and two no."
"Most known." I said deep in thought.
"Give up?"
"Just tell me." I growled.
"I am the Pharaoh."
"Enough riddles."
"Very well after all you did free me. I am Ra."
"Ra!" I shouted making others look at me like I was crazy. I continued walking as I didn't need people looking into me.
"Yes."
"Wait you're the reason my powers didn't work." I growled."I could've ended this before it began. Now who knows how many more gods are about the be released."
"You are now running on Egyptian magic. It is not meant to mix. So your body is going to need time to adapt."
"I don't want to adapt I want you out." I spat.
"I can not as I have no place to go. Besides you will need my help."
"How?" I asked arms crossed.
I know the others Gods and with our powers combined you could ended this before it get's end of the world crazy."
"You're purposing a alliance?"
"Indeed."
"Fine. For now." Now where are the kids I need to find them."
"Just start running and I will lead the way." I did and made it back to the house of the girl.
"Should've guessed." I said walking up the steps. I knocked on the door and a police officer opened.
"Can I help you." The officer asked me.
"Yeah you can step out of my way." I pulled out a small wallet and showed him my Psychic paper. Psychic paper is a blank, white card that had special properties. I use it when need to get by certain problems or for fun if need be. "Special Agent Percy Jackson of her Magistracy secret Service."
"You look a little young and sound a little to american to be a Special Agent." the cop spat.
"We start young now and I spent so time in America. No step aside I got work to do. Or would you like to be arrested for getting in the way of my investigation and charged with treason?" The cop went pale and stepped aside letting me. "Good ." Inside I saw that there was loads of pictures. Almost all of the same woman which was a little creepy. but I pushed that care to the side as I noticed the boy from before sitting on the couch holding onto Kane's bag for dear life.
"Hey kid." I looked down trying to be friendly. He didn't say anything, he just sat there saying nothing."You gonna tell me your name or you gonna sit there like a piss ant?"He didn't say anything and I was getting pissed. So I ripped the bag from his hands.
"Give it back." he cried.
"Oh now you want to talk." I spat. "Gonna cooperate now?" The kid just nodded his head yes."Name."
"Carter."
"Well that's a start." I said giving the bag back.
"Carter you father is in more trouble then you think. I need to know everything."
"I already told what happened." Carter cried.
"Yeah I saw what happened. I need to know his intention." I stated.
"You were there?" Carter asked. However someone came down the stairs.
"Who the bloody hell are you?" the man asked.
"Who are you?" I countered.
"I'm Chief Inspector Williams." he spat.
"Special agent Percy Jackson." I flashed the Psychic paper."I'm taking over this case." I stated.
"Bollocks." He told me.
"If you don't believe is not my problem. This is now my case. And you will step aside." I growled before calming down. "However if you wish you may stay to help." I said needing to know what he knew right now. He decided to and at that point the grandparents entered the room and sat on either side of Carter, looking quite nervous. I then noticed a pot of tea and a plate of biscuits sat on the table. I took one and they were okay but strange how I was the only one who was not tense and considering what I knew that was sad. Chief Inspector Williams ordered the girl into the only free chair.
He then paced in front of the fireplace importantly. Two more police stood by the front door a woman and the big guy who let me in. I picked the plate up and gave the rest of the biscuits to him as I knew he want them.
"Mr. and Mrs. Faust," Inspector Williams said, "I'm afraid we have two uncooperative children."
"Want to reword that." I growled not like being called a kid. The old woman fidgeted with the trim of her dress. She was frail and colorless, like a stick person really,
"They're just children," she managed. "Surely you can't blame them."
"Pah!" The old guy added. "This is ridiculous, Inspector. They aren't responsible!" I had to say the old man looked good for his age as he had beefy arms, a belly much too big for his shirt, and eyes sunk deep in his face, as if someone had punched them. He could be considered scary looking.
"Mr. Faust," he said, "what do you imagine the morning headlines will read? 'British Museum attacked. Rosetta Stone destroyed.' Your son-in-law—"
"Former son-in-law," Gramps corrected.
"Guess a sour subject." I added.
"He was most likely vaporized in the explosion, or he ran off, in which case—"
"He didn't run off!" The girl shouted.
"We need to know where he is," the inspector continued. "And the only witnesses, your grandchildren, refuse to tell me the truth."
"Or the truth is just one you refuse to believe as it goes against all you believe. Because you are afraid." I said in a rather scary tone. "So tell me Carter what did you see?"
"He sank through the floor." Carter said.
"Huh" I sighed in defeat
"Agent Jackson you can't believe that." Inspector Williams he turned to Carter. "Young man, your father has committed a criminal act. He's left you behind to deal with the consquences—"
"Have you looked into building because I believe you might have missed some facts. Or did you just look that over as you think you know it well enough." I barked. The Inspector got white as I just made him look stupid in front of everyone. I see. But that aside what to do with the kids.
"We can charge them," the inspector warned, turning on the kids. "We can and we will—"
"Screw this." I thought before snapping and called on the mist.
The inspector froze. Then he blinked several times. The old guy frowned.
"Inspector?"
"Yes…"Inspector Williams murmured dreamily. He reached in his pocket and took out an American passport. He threw it in Carter's lap.
"You're being deported," the inspector announced. "You're to leave the country within twenty-four hours. If we need to question you further, you'll be contacted through the FBI."
"Okay that was not planed but I can work with his." I thought.
"I can agree with this." I said arms crossed.
"Sir?" the policewoman asked. "Are you sure—"
"Quiet, Linley. The two of you may go." The cops hesitated until Williams made a shooing motion with his hand. Then they left, closing the door behind them.
"Hold on," Carter said. "My father's disappeared, and you want me to leave the country?"
"Your father is either dead or a fugitive, son," the inspector said.
"Deportation is your option right now." I said. "It's already been arranged." I lied.
"With whom?" The old man demanded. "Who authorized this?"
"With mine and my superior. I said meaning Chaos. Speaking of him I could bet he had some hand in what happened to me. Carter looked too devastated to speak. Inspector Williams turned to the girl . "You, too, miss."
"You're deporting me?" She asked. "I live here!"
"You're an American citizen. And under the circumstances, it's best for you to return home." I said. She just stared at me.
"Where am I supposed to go?"
"Agent."
"Call me Percy miss."
"Agent Percy" The old lady said, her voice trembling. "This isn't fair. I can't believe—"
"We'll give you some time to say good-bye," the inspector interrupted.
"I think you bast leave now Inspector." I ordered.
Then he frowned but he walked to the front door anyway. When he opened it, I almost pulled out Riptide, because the man in black, from earlier was standing there. He'd lost his trench coat and hat somewhere, but was still wearing the same pinstripe suit and round glasses. His braided hair glittered with gold beads.I thought the inspector would say something, but he didn't even acknowledge the man. He walked right past him and into the night.
"Hello may I ask you name." I said still on edge.
"Amos" He said as he came inside and closed the door as the old geezers stood looking pissed.
"You," Gramp's growled. "I should've known. If I was younger, I would beat you to a pulp."
"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Faust," Amos said. He looked at the kids and then me as if we were problems to be solved. "It's time we had a talk."Amos added as he made himself right at home. He flopped onto the sofa, poured himself tea, and on a biscuit.
Gramps's face went bright red. He came up behind Amos and raised his hand as if he were about to smack him, but Amos kept munching his biscuit.
"Please, sit down," he told us.
And they all sat. I I remained as I am not effected by outside magic. Ra was inside magic so that's different.
"Terrible timing," he muttered. "But there's no other way. They'll have to come with me."
"Good. Because there is still some stuff the four of us need t discus." I stated.
"Indeed Mr. Jackson." He said.
"Excuse me?" The girl said. "I'm not going anywhere with a couple of strangers!"
"Well my dear you will have to. This is more serious then you can imagine." I stated.
"I'm afraid Mr-"
"Just call me Percy Amos." I said.
"What is it with you and that?"
"Shut up." I thought.
"Percy is right Carter, Sadie." Amos said.
"No, Amos," Gran said, trembling. "You can't take Sadie. We had an agreement."
"Julius broke that agreement tonight," Amos said. "You know you can't care for Sadie anymore—not after what's happened. Their only chance is to come with me."
"Why should we go anywhere with you?" Carter asked. "You almost got in a fight with Dad!"I rolled my eyes.
"Kids." I said. But to true I didn't look much older then them. Mostly because I stopped ageing. Amos looked at the workbag in Carter's lap.
"I see you kept your father's bag. That's good. You'll need it. As for getting into fights, Julius and I did that quite a lot. If you didn't notice, Carter, I was trying to stop him from doing something rash. If he'd listened to me, we wouldn't be in this situation."
"Indeed an now I have to clean up this mess." I spat."Remind me to kick his ass later." Amos and Gramps chuckled at this. Amos finished his tea and looked straight at the old bat.
"Mrs. Faust, you know what's begun. The police are the least of your worries." Gran swallowed.
"You…you changed that inspector's mind."
"No that was mostly me. But the deporting thing was not me."
"It was that or see the children arrested," Amos said.
"Hang on," Sadie said to me. "You changed Inspector Williams's mind? How?"
"You'll know soon enough." I said."But still we should leave soon."
"Indeed." Amos said. "We should get to New York in the next hour or so before Inspector Williams begins to wonder why he let you go." Carter laughed incredulously.
"I am due back home. I wonder how mom is doing I said aloud not caring who listened. "But are you sure that is a wise idea with them there?"
"We will be fine."
"You can't get to New York from London in a hour. Not even the fastest plane—" Carter said joining our conversation.
"No," Amos agreed. "Not a plane."
"But there are other ways." I smirked liking these two guys a little.
"Mrs. Faust, Carter and Sadie have only one safe option. You know that. They'll come to the mansion in Brooklyn. We can protect them there." Amos said.
"You've got a mansion," Carter said. "In Brooklyn." Amos gave him an amused smile.
"The family mansion. You'll be safe there."
"Lucky you two." I laughed.
"But our dad—"
"Screwed when I find him." I stated.
"I'm sorry, Carter. I'll explain later, but Julius would want you to be safe. For that, we must move quickly. I'm afraid I'm all you've got." Amos said saddened. Carter glanced at The old pair. Then he nodded glumly. I could tell that they didn't want him around.
"Well, Carter can do what he wants," Sadie said. "But I live here. And I'm not going off with some strangers, am I?"
"What makes you think you have a say in this." I giving a villain like tone.
"Gramps, surely…"He turned to Amos.
"You can get them out of the country?"
"Hang on!" Sadie shouted. Amos stood and wiped the crumbs off his jacket. He walked to the patio doors and stared out at the river.
"The police will be back soon. Tell them anything you like. They won't find us."
"You're going to kidnap us?" Sadie asked, stunned.
"Call it what you want. But the fact is you're coming with us. One way or another." I stated. Carter shouldered the workbag andstood like he was ready to go.
"How do you plan to get to New York in an hour?" he asked. "You said, not a plane."
"No," Amos agreed. He put his finger to the window and traced something in the condensation.
"Boat."I said knowing the hieroglyph.
"Okay Ra my guess is you're translating for me."
"Your welcome."
"Shut up." Amos peered at me over the top of his round glasses.
"How did you—"
"I had to learn some things before I came here."
"What you're suppose to be a special Agent of London. How can you have had to learn that before coming here." Sadie asked me.
"What did I say?" I asked pretending not to know what she was talking about. "But enough of that on to the boat." I said.
"Look!" Carter cried.
Down at the quayside, an Egyptian reed boat, with two torches burning in the front, and a big rudder in the back.
"How did that?" Carter asked.
"We gonna play twenty questions? Or we gonna get moving. Because I got a lot of things to get done."I said getting mad.
"We're going in that," Carter said. "To Brooklyn."
"No shit." I getting madder.
"We'd better get started," Amos said.
"Gran, please!" Sadie begged. She brushed a tear from her cheek.
"It's for the best, my dear. You should take Muffin."
"Ah, yes," Amos said. "We can't forget the cat."He turned towards the stairs. As if on cue, Muffin raced down in a leopard-spotted streak and leaped into Sadie's arms.
"If that cat comes any near me i'll kill it." I said with venom,as the cat hissed at me.
"Who are you two?" She asked me and Amos. "We can't just go off with some stranger." I was getting tired of this.
"Chaos give me strength." I said rubbing my eyes.
"I'm not a stranger." Amos smiled at her. "I'm family." Sadie was quite for a moment as if she was remembering something.
"Uncle Amos?" She asked hazily.
"That's right, Sadie," he said. "I'm Julius's brother. Now come along. We have a long way to go."
"And you young man?" Gramps asked.
"I am the lonely wolf that stakes you in the night. I am the eagle circling up in the sky." I said. "My name is just a mask that I can hide behind. but you may call me Percy." I finished going to the boat.
Okay I hope you like it. Sorry if it's not what you were hoping for but I think it's a nice start to help me get back into this story. Also to answer The Twelve Olympians' review: Is Percy dating Annabeth in this. No he's not. Please review if you would so I can keep my inspiration to write this more.
