At the same time, Sonic was running across the street. It took a few minutes but Sonic realized she could only run at normal speed, then she suddenly stopped to catch her breath. Sonic took her radio out and contacted Tails.

"Tails, what's going on, I can only run as fast and as far as a normal person."

Tails was examining the controls of the machine, one dial read (SEX APPEAL - POWER) with the dial turned all the way to sex appeal.

Tails picked up the radio and answered "It seems the machine has 'accidentally' converted all of your powers into your glorious feminine physique and complexion"

"Care to explain why your 'accident' has a dedicated dial for sex appeal?"
"It's uhhh….dynamic! It changes based on the outcome of the experiment."

"Eh, works for me. Being a girl and all, I don't understand technology, but how am I going to travel faster?"

"Try taking the bus," suggested Tails "there should be a metro card somewhere in that uniform.

Unless…Sonic, how much dignity do you have?"

"Well, I almost ran out of the lab nude. What's your idea?"

"I bet if you simply found someone driving, you could persuade them to offer you a lift"

"You've got to be kidding me. It's one thing when I start my streaming account, but it's another thing when I actually have to see people, alright I'll grab the card"

Sonic searched her new highschool uniform for the card only to notice that there's no pockets, she then reached under the skirt and pulled it out from her panties while a family across the street looked in horror. After finding the card, Sonic went and sat down at a nearby bus stop bench, where another anthropomorphic life form appeared to be sitting next to her holding a newspaper, he then brought the newspaper down revealing himself to be none other than Silver the Hedgehog, he then looked over.

"Excuse me, ma'am…

Silver had gone completely silent to stare at the beauty that was sitting next to him. "Hello?"

Sonic jumped and didn't know how to respond.

"I don't think I should say who I really am or that I already know him," thought Sonic "he can't know it's me. I'd die of embarrassment"

He eventually uttered "Um...hello there"

"I'd ask if you come here often, but I haven't noticed someone as gorgeous as you around here before. The name's Silver, I come from the future"

"Is he trying to flirt with me," wondered Sonic "I don't know what's romantic about time travel." Doing her best to act new to Silver, Sonic said "Um..my name is...Son..uhh...ya...Sonya. Look, I really need to get downtown, can you help me or what?"

"Sonya huh? I can help you alright, why don't we discuss this over lunch? I'm buying."

"I just want to get downtown, and I'm not good at navigating, can you help or not?"
"I can totally help you Sonya, but I don't see why we can't both benefit from this situation"

"FIne, if it'll get me closer to where I need to go, I'll get lunch with you"

Silver jumped up from the bench, "Awesome! What are we waiting for, let's get going!"

Silver picked up Sonya and teleported both of them to a nice diner within the city. SIlver put Sonya down upon arrival and opened the door for her, motioning with his hand for her to enter. They found a booth along the wall and sat down in it.

"So, what do you want? I'll order"

Sonic thought for a second before answering "I guess...a chili dog, if they have it"

"Hah, this guy I know named Sonic loves chili dogs! Actually, I don't know anyone who loves them more"
"Imagine that…."

Silver went up to the counter and ordered for the two of them. While he was ordering, Vector walked through the entrance. Sonic shielded her face with her hands in an attempt to hide it.

"Oh man, now Vector's here? Why does he have to be here right now? Maybe he won't notice me." hoped Sonic

Vector walked up to the line and noticed that Silver was standing in line.
"SIlver, is that you?"
"Vector? Hey man, how've you been?"
"You know me, I'm still in the detective business. I come here all the time, so what brings you here?"

"If you must know, I'm on a date!"

Vector nodded approvingly "Really now? You'll have to introduce me to this lovely lady"

"We are on a date, I'm not sure introducing my date to new men is the best idea."

"What can I say, I'm a detective! Finding these things out is my specialty"
"Alright, if you're gonna be that pushy about it."

Silver led Vector to his booth.
"Oh no, Silver better not be taking Vector over here." worried Sonic, sliding down further into the seat "As if this day isn't bad enough"

"Hey Sonya, this is my friend Vector. I've known Vector for an unspecified period of time"
"He's right you know, even with my detective skills I can't figure out how long we've known each other! What I can figure out is that you're one stunning lady"

"Oh, thank you." muttered Sonic "But I really need to.."
"Her name's Sonya, but that shouldn't be of much importance to you right now. It's Sonya and me on a date, not Sonya and Vector"

"Woah, slow down Silver, haven't you ever seen Sonic Heroes? I think three is a great number for a group. The only thing better than that is me and one other person!"

"Why don't you go do your sleuthing somewhere else. Otherwise, there'll be a new mystery to solve: The mystery of the missing crocodile"

"Easy hotshot, if you're all that, then why don't you let Sonya decide who she wants to date!"
"Okay, Sonya, who do you want to go on a date with? Is it me or Vector?"

Sonic looked around for a way out of the conversation, "Um, actually, I never agreed that this was a date in the first place.."
Vector laughed, "Hah, I told you, the ladies love a working man! Crime might not pay, but you don't make money being a hero either. Come on Sonya, let's blow this popsicle stand!"

Sonic thought "I don't even want to imagine what Vector would be like in bed, I have to come up with an escape plan, and fast"

Sonic jumped out of the booth and ran through the exit of the diner.
Silver berated Vector, "Now look what you did! I could see her tail just fine when she was running out of here, but now I can't get any tail!"

"Don't blame me, at least I was the one she chose! When she had to pick between me and you, it was like picking between fishing with Big or grinding rails in space!"

"I'll make you eat those words!"

By the time they started fighting, Sonic was already a dozen yards away from them as she continued running.

"Whew, that's two possible catastrophes avoided"

With her head looking behind her, she didn't see the figure in front of her until *WHAM* Sonic had run right into a stranger and she fell to the ground.
"Woah, are you okay there?" asked the stranger "The only times someone crashes into me that hard is because of Eggman"
The stranger offered a hand to help up Sonic

"Whah? Oh, thank you.."
Sonic looked up to see Knuckles lending her a hand.

"Oh, believe me, the pleasure is all mine."

Sonic took Knuckles hand and pulled herself up to stand.

"You know, you look pretty familiar. What's your name? I'm Knuckles by the way"

"My name's Sonya, I was trying to find .."
"Sonya? Yeah, that's right. You remind me of Sonic! Do you know Sonic? He's that blue hedgehog"

Sonic got nervous for a second, fearing she might reveal her true identity.

"Uh, I think we may have met before."
"Well, now I'm a bit mad that he didn't introduce me sooner! It was pretty rude of him not to introduce me to a stunner like you. What were you running from just now?"

Sonic turned around and pointed to Vector and Silver running towards her.

"Them"

Knuckles followed Sonic's point, "You mean Vector and Silver? They're good guys, why would you be running from them?"
"You'll figure it out"

Vector and SIlver, out of breath, made it to Knuckles and Sonic.

"Thank goodness you stopped Sonya!" panted Vector "We were just about to go on a date when she got up and ran all of a sudden!"

Silver argued "Go on a date with you? It's no use Vector, you know Sonya wanted to go on a date with me. Heck, we were on a date until YOU decided to ruin or meal"

Knuckles stood in between the two of them and kept them apart "What's going on here? Sonya, is any of this true?"
"No! I never said I'd date either of those two! Silver said he'd help me if…"

"So what you're saying is you're available?"

"Not again…."

Knuckles rubbed his hands together, "Oh I can't wait to dive into the mellow tonight"

Vector pressed a gloved finger against Knuckles' chest and warned "Back off Knuckles! Don't you have a crystal to guard or something? Why don't you make like an Eggman and scram"

Silver backed him up, adding "Yeah Knuckles, you're about to come third in a two chao race!"

"Are you so sure about that? They don't call me The Fighting Freak Knuckles for nothing, I can't lose!"

"As head of the Chaotix Detective Agency, I can safely say I've just discovered a lie."

"Guys, guys, we're getting nowhere like this!" yelled Silver over the other arguing

Sonic let out a sigh of relief, "FInally someone's being reasonable for once"

"There's only one way to settle this: rock, paper, scissors"

"A test of wits?" asked Vector "Hah, you've already lost, Knuckles"

Sonic thought to herself, "This is perfect, just gotta slip away while they're distracted..."

Sonic snuck into an alleyway without the three noticing.

Knuckles began by saying "Alright, how do you guys want to lose? Rock, Paper, Scissors, shoot?"
Silver shook his head in disagreement, "Knuckles, you truly are dimwitted if you throw on shoot. You can't even pick scissors with those gloves on. No, we'll throw on scissors"

Vector commented "no no no, you guys are all wrong. It's one, two, three, shoot."

"Okay, how about we throw on three?" suggested Silver "That ways everyone is equally disappointed"

"Sounds fair to me" added Knuckles
"All right, who's going to count us down?"
