This is chapter 2 and things will be revealed: Alex's surprise for Kelly and who Kara is in love with.
Jewellery store:
Alex and Lena had arrived at a high priced store to get Kelly's surprise. While Alex was looking around, Lena was talking to the manager to see if he had anything new in stock. Alex looked at Lena who was walking over, she was holding a red velvet tray with a selection of rings.
"Take your pick and I'll pay for it." Lena told her and Alex started to shake her head. "I won't take no for an answer, it's the least I can do for what you've done for me." Lena explained and Alex knew that she didn't stand a chance of winning an argument against Lena.
"I'll take this one." Alex told Lena as she pointed at a platinum ring with a diamond in the centre. Lena nodded then took the tray over to the cashier and told him which ring she was buying. Alex waited while Lena paid for the ring, she then walked back over to Alex and handed her the ring box. "Thank you, Lena." Alex thanked and Lena smiled then nodded, the pair left the store.
"When do you plan on "surprising" Kelly?" Lena asked as she was curious as they walked over to Alex's bike.
"Tonight at game night." Alex told her and Lena nodded. "Why don't you join us? Kara wanted to ask but she's been busy with her other job." Alex explained and Lena nodded as Alex climbed onto her bike, she put on her helmet then looked at Lena.
"See you all tonight?" Lena asked and Alex nodded as she put the ring box in her pocket.
"We're meeting up at Kara's place," Alex told her friend then she lowered her visor. "I'll see you later, Lena." Alex rode off while Lena walked back to Luthor Corp, she took out her phone to make an appointment to see Andrea.

Lena arrived at the media building to see her friend. Lena looked around until she found Andrea talking to Nia, she didn't look too happy then Andrea walked off towards her office.
"What was that about?" Andrea looked behind her to see Lena standing in the doorway. "Did Nia do something wrong?" Lena asked as she walked towards Andrea.
"Miss Danvers left the building and Miss Nal won't tell me where she went," Andrea explained which puzzled Lena. "Kara was meant to work with William to complete an article about Obsidian; to convince the public that it's safe to use again." Andrea sat down at her desk while Lena walked towards the desk.
"She has a name: Kara." Lena told her which surprised Andrea. "Kara and I have a strong connection and I know more about her than you. If you knew her as well as me, Nia or others do, you would know that Kara has had a tough few years: her boyfriend leaves her for another woman, then he came back and she lost focus on everything and to top it off, her adopted father dies!" Lena shouted which made Andrea sit back, she had never seen Lena this protective over anyone ever, not even her when they were friends.
"Lena?" Lena looked behind to see Kara walking towards her. "I've been looking for you everywhere." Kara told her and just as she was about to walk into the office, Andrea held her hand up and Kara stopped.
"Miss Luthor and I were talking, Miss Danvers." Andrea told the blonde woman and Kara was about to walk back to her desk when Lena spoke.
"Andrea, I want Kara to stay as I have news for you," Lena started to explain as Kara walked into the office. "I've brought back : I'm in charge." Lena told her which Andrea couldn't believe. "I've heard some things saying that you've been using to promote Obsidian North. That's wrong: was made to help people understand things that are going on in the world." Lena spoke and Kara was impressed. Andrea walked off, leaving Lena and Kara in her office.
"Lena, do you have time to spare? I wanted to talk to you about something." Kara asked and Lena nodded with a smile. The pair walked out onto the balcony then Lena sat down on the couch while Kara leant against the balcony.
"Is everything okay, Kara?" Lena asked as she was worried. She watched as Kara took off her glasses and rubbed her eyes.
"Lena, how long have we been friends?" Kara asked as she looked at Lena. The raven haired woman smiled as she looked at Kara.
"A few years. We've had our falling outs but we always end up back together." Lena answered and Kara smiled. "Kara, if there's something wrong, you can tell me." Lena ensured her and Kara nodded, she sat down opposite Lena and looked at her.
"Lena, I haven't been honest about everything," Kara paused as she could see Lena was looking puzzled. "There's something else you should know about me." Kara took a deep breath as she was gathering the courage to tell Lena the ultimate truth about her. "I'm…. I'm gay." Kara told her and Lena smiled then held Kara's hand.
"Kara, thank you for being honest to me." Lena thanked Kara. Kara placed a finger on Lena's lips which surprised her. Slowly, Kara moved her finger away and Lena remained quiet.
"There's more," Kara added, she got up then sat next to Lena and held her hand. "Over time, I started to feel things for someone close to me." Kara turned and looked at Lena, she slowly placed her right hand on the left side of Lena's face. "It was you, Lena. I've secretly been in love with you for a long time but I never told you as you didn't know who I was." Lena was surprised to hear that: Kara was in love with her!
"Kara, I don't know what to say." Lena was speechless, she was about to speak when Kara's phone beeped: it was Alex. "Kara, can we talk later? Tonight? I'll be over early for game night." Lena asked and Kara nodded then she ran off, leaving Lena to think about everything Kara told her.
Alex's apartment:
Kara flew into the apartment via the open window, she landed to see Alex sat on her bed smiling as she was holding a small dark blue box. Kara, in her Supergirl suit, ran over to her sister and sat next to her.
"Alex, is everything alright? You said it was an emergency." Kara asked as she was worried, Alex nodded then looked at her sister.
"I lied. I just needed to see you." Alex told her which made Kara roll her eyes. "I wanted to ask you something: could we change game night? Make it a ladies night?" Alex asked which confused Kara.
"What's brought this on, Alex?" Kara asked as she was curious to know what her sister was planning. "I know you so what have you got up your sleeve? And what's that in your hand?" Kara looked down at the box in her sister's hand, Alex slowly opened the box to reveal a ring.
"I'm planning to ask Kelly to marry me." Alex confessed to her sister which made Kara smile, she grabbed her sister and hugged her. "After Crisis and Leviathan, I realized that time's too short and we have to make use of every second of our lives." Alex started and Kara nodded in agreement. "Plus, I love Kelly so much that I can't imagine my life without her. She makes me be a better person, a better… Batwoman." Alex told her sister and Kara nodded.
"Well, I don't know if Lena will be joining us then," Kara told Alex which puzzled her sister. "I told Lena that I…" Kara paused just as her Supergirl suit deactivated, putting Kara back into her normal clothes. "I told Lena that I was in love with her." Kara admitted and that surprised Alex then she hugged her Kryptionian sister.
"Wow, Kara! But why don't you think Lena won't be joining us?" Alex asked as she was concerned about Kara.
"When I told Lena how I felt, she went silent." Kara told her then she looked at the floor, Alex hugged her sister as she didn't know what to say. "Being with Lena made me realize a lot of things: who I love, my sexuality and why I keep getting back up." Kara explained which made Alex smile.
"Why don't you stay here and I'll talk to Lena?" Alex suggested and Kara nodded as she was quiet. "Kelly will be over shortly, why don't you talk to her when she gets here? She will give you the best advice, better than mine." Alex told her then she got up off the bed, she kissed Kara on the forehead then left while Kara stayed on the bed.
Luthor Corp:
Lena was sat in her chair, looking out the window: she was thinking about Kara's confession to her, about how the Super was in with her, a Luthor. Lena was too busy thinking about Kara and her confession, she didn't hear Alex enter the office.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Alex asked, causing Lena to turn around and look at her friend. "Is everything alright… between you and Kara?" Alex asked and Lena automatically knew that Kara had told her sister everything.
"Kara thinks I don't feel the same about her, doesn't she?" Lena asked as she looked at her friend, Alex looked down at the floor which answered Lena's question. "She can't be anymore wrong." Lena told Alex which surprised her.
"Before Lex told me Kara's secret, I was going to tell Kara how I truly felt about her," Lena started to explain which Alex didn't see coming. "I didn't know Kara felt the same about me until today. When she told me, I was going to tell her but I froze." Lena got up and walked out onto her balcony.
"Look, why don't you go over to Kara's earlier? It will give you two time to talk." Alex suggested and Lena nodded but a better idea came to Alex. "Here, take this." Alex then gave Lena her spare key to Kara's loft.
"What are you planning?" Lena asked then Alex smiled, she took Lena back into the office then explained her idea to Lena. Alex wanted to help Kara and Lena get the happy result they both wanted, she wanted to do whatever she could to help.
This is the end of chapter 2. I'm ending it here as I want to make it more interesting by dragging it out. How do you think the plan will work for Kara and Lena? Will Kelly say yes to Alex's proposal?
