Kara's loft:
Kara was sitting on her couch while doing some reading, she was thinking about Lena which made her put the book down. The Kryptonian got up and walked towards the open window then sat down on the edge, she was happy for Alex but wished that she could have a happy ending.
"Did I do the right thing?" Kara asked herself as she removed her glasses. She was about to activate her suit when she heard the sound of her door unlocking. "Alex, is everything alright?" Kara asked as she looked back out the window but there was no reply. "You're quiet for someone who should be engaged…" Kara spoke as she turned around to see Lena instead with a key in her hand.
"I never knew that I was meant to be engaged. Must've forgot that memo." Lena joked as she smiled but it didn't make Kara smile. "Alex gave me her key; she wanted us to talk." Lena explained which made Kara nod.
"What do you wanna talk about?" Kara asked as she put her glasses back on. "I thought about when I told her how I feel about you. And the only reason I could think of is that you don't think the same way." Kara told her then was surprised when she watched Lena shake her head.
"No, Kara. Quite the opposite," Lena spoke as she placed the key on the kitchen side then walked towards Kara. "I've been in love with you for a year and the day I was going to tell you was the day that my world came crashing down on me." Lena confessed as she fell backwards onto the couch.
"That day? You mean…?" Kara was about to ask when Lena nodded. "Oh Lena. I'm so sorry." Kara apologised as she ran over and sat next to Lena, she held her hand and looked at the raven haired woman.
"It should be me that's sorry: doing what I did to you wasn't that of someone who wanted to save the world. It was done by someone who had lost the one person that they loved more than anything." Lena started to cry then Kara hugged her tight, she felt like it was her fault that Lena was like this.
"It is my fault. If only I listened to my heart and told you from the truth." Kara told her then Lena looked up. The pair looked into each other's eyes until Lena slowly reached for Kara's glasses and took them off. "Lena…" Kara was about to speak when Lena placed a finger over her lips.
"Ssshhh…" Lena whispered then she leant forward, Kara didn't move as she didn't know what Lena was doing. Lena was now inches from Kara's face then she kissed her, they had both closed their eyes and continued to kiss. Kara didn't know if this was Lena trying to make both of them forget their rough past or because she couldn't hold back anymore, but one thing was for certain: Kara was enjoying it as was Lena. The pair were too busy making out that they didn't hear the door open, they broke up when they heard a woman's voice.
"If you're gonna make out, could you next time lock the door?" The pair looked at the door to see Alex, Kelly, M'gann and Nia. "Kara, doors have locks for several reasons. Making sure no one sees making out with someone is one of them." Alex told her and Kara nodded as both her and Lena blushed as red as Kara's cape.
"That's one thing that will be hard to forget," Nia chuckled then she looked at M'gann. "Could you wipe that from my mind, M'gann?" Nia asked and Alex nodded as she wanted it done to her.
"Calm down, you two. Don't tell me that you've made out with your partners?" M'gann asked which made both Nia and Alex smile. "Now that's sorted; can we start ladies night?" She asked and the others nodded as Kara walked into the kitchen area to get glasses while Lena sorted her hair out.
Next day:
Kara was at working on a new article: it was about Lena taking back Luthor Corp and renaming it L-Corp, as well as buying off Andrea. Kara had just taken a break from typing as the elevator opened, it was Lena wearing black trousers, black heels and a red shirt. Kara was surprised by something which was Lena didn't have her hair in a ponytail, she had it down.
"Lena, how are you?" Andrea Rojas asked as she walked towards Lena, the pair shook hands then headed towards the main office. While Andrea was tidying her desk, Lena turned and looked at Kara then winked at her which made Kara smile. Lena walked into the office then sat down on the couch and Andrea sat opposite her.
"Down to business, Andrea; I've brought back ." Lena told her which surprised Andrea as she didn't expect to hear that from Lena. "You're too busy with Obsidian North so I decided to take over ." Lena explained and Andrea understood then they shook hands.
"Okay then, Lena. Thank you for helping." Andrea thanked and Lena smiled. "When were you thinking about taking over?" Andrea asked as she was curious.
"Tomorrow as I'm sorting other things out today," Lena explained and Andrea nodded as she got up and walked over to her desk. Lena took out her phone to see that she had received a text from Kara, she opened it then read the message.
"Lena, I was wondering if I could come over to your place later? There's something I want to ask you." Lena was puzzled and was wondering what Kara wanted to ask her. Lena sent a reply to Kara, agreeing to meet at her place.
"I'll see you later, Andrea. I got a meeting to go to." Lena told her friend then she got up and left the office. Andrea sat down by her desk and started sorting everything out, while Lena made a quick stop by Kara's desk. "Kara, can we talk? In private?" Lena asked and Kara nodded then the pair walked outside onto the balcony.
Meanwhile:
At the tower, Alex was getting suited up as Batwoman to go out on patrol; she was looking forward to taking her new suit for a spin. She was about to put on the gloves when the secret door opened and in walked Kelly.
"Babe, you look truly amazing in that suit." Kelly complimented which made Alex smile, she put the gloves on the table then walked over to Kelly.
"Sorry about last night," Alex apologised which made Kelly look confused. "Yesterday, I asked Kara when we had our ladies night but I didn't plan on us walking in on them making out." Alex rolled her eyes at the thought of last night which made Kelly smile a little. "I was so traumatised by it that I forgot to do something." Alex told her then walked over to her jacket while Kelly walked towards the table, where the rest of the Bat gear was lying.
"What was it that you forgot to do, babe?" Kelly asked as she picked up the cowl and looked at it. When Kelly looked at Alex again, she was holding a black ring box.
"Kelly, since I met you, I've become a better version of myself. I don't think I could've become who I am today if it wasn't for you being in my life." Alex started as she walked towards Kelly who was smiling. "I don't know what the future knows and while I don't know what the future has in store for us, I know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Alex explained then she got down on one knee and opened the box, revealing the platinum ring she got with help from Lena.
"Alex, I don't know what to say." Kelly exclaimed then she covered her mouth. Alex took the ring out of the box then held it up.
"Kelly Olsen, will you marry me?" Alex asked with a smile and Kelly nodded as she was too speechless to say anything. Alex took Kelly's right hand then slid the ring onto her finger, the pair were now more happier than ever before as Kelly knelt down and kissed Alex.
"Today is the beginning of our new lives together," Kelly smiled and Alex nodded as they held hands. "Being engaged to you, Alex, is the greatest thing to happen to me." Alex smiled as she was feeling the same, she kissed Kelly on the cheek then put on her gloves.
"I'll see you later, Kelly. You better get back before Andrea gets angry." Alex suggested and Kelly nodded as she knew her now fiancé was right. Kelly watched as Alex put on the cowl and walked towards the balcony. "Love you, beautiful." Alex called over then she fired the grapple gun, Kelly waved as Alex flew away into the city.
This is the end of chapter 3 and things are going great for the women: Alex and Kelly are engaged. And as for Kara and Lena? Well, you'll have to wait and see.
