After Stoick and his men left in the ships, sailing away to search for the nest again before the ice sets in, Hiccup sighs "he doesn't even care that he signed away my life to Astrid Hofferson!"

Gobber walked in the Forge to hear Hiccup yell at the end and ask "Hiccup? Are you okay?"

Hiccup sighs "no, not really. Dad just signed my life away after I turn fifteen to Astrid Hofferson."

Gobber ask curious "isn't that a good thing?"

Hiccup sighs "no, because she never would give me a chance to talk to her."

Gobber sighs "maybe now she would have to put up with talking to you since your engaged to her."

Three hours go by before Gobber decides to call for a break to have lunch.

Hiccup leaves the Forge and heads to the hall to maybe try and have a conversation with Astrid.

He enters the hall and looks around to find Astrid talking with her five friends about their day and walks over to them.

Ruffnut noticed Hiccup walking over to them and smirks to Astrid "here comes little Hiccup to embarrass us again."

Astrid and the others sigh in fustration at Hiccup wanting to be their friends.

Hiccup nervously approached them and ask "uh A-Astrid, I w-was wondering I-if you would l-like to h-hangout since we j-just got engaged last n-night."

Snotlout smirks "could you leave us alone, useless? Your embarrassing us!"

Hiccup bows his head.

Astrid sighs "Hiccup, how about you don't come see me or talk to me until when we get married, so that I don't have to put up with you?"

Hiccup sighs "but my dad said we should get to know each other before we get married to make our marriage work."

Astrid scowls "I don't want to get to know you until after our wedding ceremony! Let alone be seen with the village outcast!"

Tuffnut, Ruffnut smirks "yeah useless! Get lost!"

Snotlout scowls "no one wants you around!"

They all laugh at him except Fishlegs who knew it was wrong to treat him like that but couldn't go against the village tradition of a hiccup being called a bad omen to villages in Barbaric Archipelago.

Hiccup turned around and left, leaving the Hall and heads to the docks to pay for five fishes for Toothless.

After that, he walks into the forest to go see Toothless.

When he arrived at his secret Cove, he smiles "hi bud! Did you miss me?"

Toothless snorts at his question.

Hiccup sighs "I hope your morning was better than mine now."

Toothless croons at his sadden tone and walks over to him and nuzzles his chest to comfort him.

Hiccup fed Toothless the five fishes for lunch and spears a fish in the lake for himself.

While he eats his fish thinks of how his life could get any better than being married to an immature girl.

After having lunch, he decides to draw Toothless in his sketch book of what he looks like.

Toothless sits behind him and watches Hiccup draw him in a book.

When Hiccup was done with the drawing, he showed Toothless the drawing and watched Toothless snap a small tree stem and draws in the ground.

After he was done, he climbed on a boulder to admire his drawing. Hiccup climbs on the boulder and sits next to Toothless to see Toothless drew a smiley face and says "that's a good smiley face, Toothless."

All evening, Hiccup stayed in the forest showing Toothless how to draw emotional faces in the dirt.

When dinner time came Hiccup decided to camp in the forest with Toothless because he doesn't want to see villagers anymore.

He grab three small logs and piled them together and had Toothless spit a fire bolt at it to lite the fire.

Hiccup watch the fire crackling as the wood burn.

He begins humming a tone about how depressed he is.

Soon he started having tears run down his cheeks and sniffles.

Toothless hears him crying softly and walks over to him pulling him into his wings wrapping his paws around him to comfort him.

Toothless laid there with Hiccup wrapped in his legs and wings trying to comfort him from sadness and pain. After a while, Hiccup cried himself to sleep wrapped in Toothless's paws.

Next morning, Hiccup woke up feeling alone and sad, then would remember that he slept in Toothless's paws and smiled a little bit. He walked home after feeding Toothless fish from the lake.

He opens the door to his house and makes himself a bowl of oatmeal and ate it. Then left to go work at the Forge.

Some of the villagers were already awake and out doing their work. He just wanted to leave Berk behind forever.

He enters the Forge and begins heating up the boiler to start fixing some weapons from who knows what.

Half an hour later, Gobber walks in and ask him "did she give you a chance to talk to her?"

Hiccup sighs "she won't make the marriage good."

Gobber laughs "she can't be all that bad. Maybe you caught her at a bad time to try and talk to her?"

Hiccup sighs "I would like to believe that Gobber, but I think it would be best to figure out how to break off the marriage contract."

Gobber gasped "Hiccup! Breaking the marriage contract before the wedding requires proof that both subjects are in agreement to call off the engagement or one proves to be unfaithful to the other, and unloyal to the other or does a dishonorable act!"

Hiccup sighs at hearing the clauses for breaking the marriage contract and says "great I'm stuck in a marriage contract with an immature girl."

Gobber sighs "give her a break."

Hiccup sighs in sadness and continues to work.

Gobber notices his eyes were red and puffy meaning he cried for a long period of time yesterday.

Everyday was a different day for Hiccup for a month. He would work in the Forge until noon to take his lunch break and try talking to Astrid only to have her have Snotlout and Tuffnut beat him up to remind him not to come by her again until the wedding day and he would leave the village to spend the rest of the day with Toothless.

Playing tag or chase the light. Eat dinner in the Cove and cry himself to sleep wrapped in Toothless's paws.

A month went by and Gobber started to worry about Hiccup, but Hiccup told him to leave it be and that he would be fine after a while.

Stoick and his men returned from another search for the nest with no luck and two ships less.

Some of the villagers were congratulating him about his son saying "no one will miss that nuisance anymore."

He ask "Gobber, is he gone?"

Gobber sighs "he's been down some since you made the marriage contract with the Hoffersons, but it should be good after the wedding next year."

Stoick ask "where is he at?"

Gobber sighs "don't know where he is at except in the forest somewhere hiding from the village like he is traumatized from the villagers."

The only time the villagers would see Hiccup was when he was working in the Forge in the morning until lunch time and then he would leave for the forest not to be seen until next morning.

One day, Stoick ask him "did you make any progress in getting to know Astrid Hofferson while I was gone?"

Hiccup sighs "no, she doesn't want to see me until the wedding day of next year."

Stoick laughs "your mother was the same way with me, you just have to try harder to get her attention."

Hiccup sighs "sure, dad I'll try harder to get her attention" and left to go see Toothless to escape from Berk.

He never told anyone that he was scouting for a new island to live on away from Berk after bonding with Toothless and learning how to fly on his back.

When Alistair and Ingrid Hofferson saw him working in the Forge, they ask how him and Astrid are doing with being engaged, which his reply was that they were doing good and didn't want to tell them the truth about their daughter and that he didn't love their daughter anymore.

Astrid told her parents the same thing that they were doing good being engaged, but didn't tell them that she was trying to think of a way to put up with being married to Hiccup next year.

Three months go by and Hiccup hid Toothless in his secret Cove and discovered that he trained a Nightfury after reading the book of dragons in the library and asking Gobber what identifies them from other dragons.

Gobber's reply was "they give off a screech before firing a bolt of fire."

After that, Hiccup realized that Toothless was more powerful than a Monstrous Nightmare and a chief level dragon to kill, but he befriended him and trained him.

Another month went by with Hiccup staying out of the village in the afternoons. Flying Toothless and looking for a new home to live and making trips North to see his mother, Valka and learning things from her about living alone.

He told her about how he's been without her around. He didn't want to tell her about how the villagers treat him or that he was engaged to an immature girl and be married next year.

Today, the Meatheads Tribe visited for the annual Treaty renewal which Stoick decided to have Astrid learn about handling tribes because of the marriage deal between him and Astrid and her parents.

Stoick never told Hiccup the only way that Astrid agreed to the marriage contract was so that she could be named heir after the wedding in case Hiccup proved that he couldn't handle being Chief by the time he turned twenty years old.

Alistair and Ingrid were left in the dark about that detail in marriage contract.

Stoick introduced Astrid to Chief Mogadon Meathead and his son Thuggory Meathead.

Chief Mogadon curious ask "what happened to your son, Hiccup I thought he was your heir?"

Stoick smiles "well right now he is engaged to Astrid Hofferson here and to get her to agree to the marriage, I had to make a deal with her."

Thuggory ask "your engaged to little Hiccup?"

Astrid sighs "yes and I think I will regret making the deal."

Stoick smiles "Astrid?"

Astrid turns to Stoick to see what he wants to ask her.

Stoick ask "why don't you go show Thuggory around Berk?"

Astrid smiles "of course."

Thuggory follows Astrid out of the great Hall to see sites around Berk.

(In the Forge)

Hiccup finished another order and decided to take a break from working and still feeling depressed and trying to find a home that accepts his dragon protector.

He leaves the Forge to walk to the forest to visit Toothless.

As he walked through the village heading towards the forest, he catches site of Astrid walking with Thuggory around the village and decides to see what they are doing.

Thuggory ask "so your going to marry Hiccup next year?"

Astrid sighs "yes, but he is so annoying with trying to make friends when no one wants him around because he just causes destruction to the village."

Thuggory smirks "what deal did you make with Stoick to agree to marry Hiccup, because you said no one wants to get hitched with him?"

Astrid sighs "I said I would marry Hiccup if he would make me heir after he denounce him as heir, but I would like to find a way to divorce him afterwards because he could never be a good husband or make me happy with anything he tries to do."

Thuggory ask "would you marry me if you became heir and divorced him, if you wanted too?"

Astrid gaped at his question and says "well you would be a better choice than Hiccup on destroying the village."

Hiccup sighs and walks away from them and heads to his house to look for the contract to ripe it up. As he walks up the hill to his house, he scowls "I'm not going to marry that heartless witch if that is what this village thinks!"

He opens the door and goes to his father's room and goes through everything until he found the contract with the deal and reads it word for word until he comes across the sentence that states that when Astrid marries him, he gets denounced as heir and she's announced the new heir to Berk.

He walks upstairs to his room and packs his clothes. He writes a letter to Gobber detailed about his dragon, Astrid's plan of betrayal and dishonor, unfaithful and unloyal to him.

After that he takes his basket and leaves heading to the Forge to see Gobber gone and leaves the letter on the counter and leaves walking into the forest and never come back "time to start my new life with Toothless."
