As I promised we're back in 2008 and things are already kicking off! Excellent!

On with the show!

Terminator

Bond of Steel and Bone

Chapter 27

The Day After. The Final Jones. They know!

TUESDAY 28TH OCTOBER 2008

John sighed contently as his body slowly came into consciousness, he was reluctant to awaken from his dream. A world free of Skynet, his family weren't being hunted by the FBI and any other organization, he, Cameron, his mother and uncle could live fairly happy normal lives.

Reluctantly the future messiah opened his eyes and took in the sight of a gorgeous shade of brown, the smell of peaches along with a strange taste.

"John?" came Cameron's voice. "You're eating my hair."

John looked down noting she was right, he was eating her hair, he pulled his head back and using his free hand he pulled the hair from his mouth.

"Sorry." He apologized. "I smelt peaches." He blushed as Cameron rose lifted her head from his chest to look at him.

"It's alright." She replied softly before giving him a small smile, she glanced down and noticed a few small bruises on chest and some around his crotch, though thankfully none actually ON his crotch. "Did I do that?"

John confused by her question looked down and saw what she was looking at, he grinned. "Looks like it no worries, the bruises are worth it." He says in a rather sly tone.

"I don't want to hurt you when we make love though John, it's supposed to be a good time for us both." She replies a small frown on her lips.

"Hey don't worry I'm okay, I'm fine." He reassures her before leaning over and kisses her gently on the lips.

Cameron almost whimpered as John pulled back from the kiss, she liked kissing him, it was rated high up on her; 'List of Favourite things to do with John'.

"What time is it?" he asked suddenly as he moved to sit up.

"It is Seven twenty-three in the morning." Cameron replied immediately as she moved to allow John to sit up.

John nodded quietly in response. "I better get a shower and changed." He thought out loud.

"I'll get us clean clothes and meet you in the shower." Cameron announced before giving him a sly wink, then rose out of bed slipping on the clothes she had on last night and walked out the door.

John watched her get dressed and leave, last night was amazing like all their other times, it made him forget all about the war and his destiny, but now that he was wide awake his mind was back in the game.

'So many problems so little time.' He thought to himself. He knew he had to deal with Jesse Flores, he needed to make a more permanent solution to Riley, he knew Cameron would be more than happy to put a bullet between the blonde's eyes, to be honest when he found out about her betrayal he had half a mind to order Cameron to do so. There was this Kaliba Company to deal with and their possible connections to Skynet, the Turk was still out there, there was the Terminatrix and who knows what else was lurking in the shadows.

Thankfully he had a few aces up his sleeve, neither Riley nor Jesse knew that he and Cameron knew where Jesse lived, that could work in their favour and also more recently Cameron had delivered another possible ace to him; Myron Stark, if he could successfully repair and reprogram the Triple Eight then it could work as a shadow operative for him.

"Okay, get up and get the day started." He mumbled to himself.

After his shower and cuddling with Cameron and getting dressed the pair walked into the living room finding the others including Susan Jones sat in the living room all eyes directed at the television.

Upon the screen was Miguel's house and a title at the bottom of the screen 'Drunken Party turned Nightmare.' The scene cut to police officer who was on the scene.

"From what we can decipher from the scene is that maybe after the party the boys in question had an argument, which became fuelled by alcohol and well, things went really bad." The Police officer rubbed his wrinkled brow with the back of his hand and looked back to the house. "It's a damn shame, damn shame."

The report continued identifying the bodies of the three boys, John winced upon hearing Miguel's name, this got Derek's attention.

"You know the dead kid?" he asked while sipping his coffee, black no sugar.

"Yeah, Miguel is, was an asshole who we went to school with, he always seemed to have a problem with me, Morris and well anyone who stood up to him or didn't listen to him." John glanced to his Uncle. "I knew he was nuts but, I didn't know he'd go off the deep end like this." He admitted his voice getting a little quieter. "I always imagined him being found doped up on something with a needle stuck in his arm." He added.

"Shit, if you knew him this could put you on the radar." Sarah spoke up with annoyance.

"Mom, chill, everyone knew Miguel, those who weren't a part of his "crew" or suck up to him didn't like him." John said trying to calm his mother.

"If John is absent from school it could make him look guilty." Cameron added.

Now everyone was looking at Sarah, the elder Connor was stood stock still with her hands on her hips a look of deep thought on her face. Soon enough she relaxed slightly and looked at John.

"Tin miss is right, I guess, if you're absent and people knew you stood up to him it could make you look suspicious, go to school." She instructed.

"I was planning to anyway." John replied while smirking as he crossed his arms. "Anyway, what's for breakfast?" he asked.

"Pancakes." Sarah replied smirking as John rolled his eyes.

"The breakfast of heroes." Derek mumbled to himself earning and annoyed look from Sarah.

Danny chuckled quietly to himself while Susan stayed quiet, her eyes shifting between everyone.

Wordlessly John gathered pancakes for himself and Cameron before sitting at the table with Cameron beside him. Breakfast was eaten quickly and silently, John put their plates into the sink and turned towards his mother.

"So what's everyone doing today?" he asked casually.

"Derek and I are going to keep our eye out for leads on either the three dots or Kaliba, Danny's gunna stay here and keep searching online," Sarah began listing off before turning towards Susan. "Susan is going to keep quiet and not draw attention to herself and us." Sarah said sternly glaring hard at the woman.

"Sure, no problem." The woman said timidly trying to hide away from Sarah's gaze.

Sarah turned to look at John and Cameron. "And you two get an exciting day at school." She said smirking.

"Just make sure it's not too exciting right?" John asked with his own smirk.

"Right." Sarah agreed. "Now go, or you'll be late" she told them before shooing the two off.

"Okay, okay we've got our bags we're going." John said as he and Cameron grabbed their bags and made their way out the door. "Bye!" He called out before the door closed behind him.

"He's in a happy mood." Danny commented offhandedly, Sarah quietly agreed.

"Probably because he's getting laid." Derek groaned only to be hit in the arm by Sarah. "OWCH! Damn it woman." He cried out only to be hit again.

"Okay, so give me a mission update." John asked of his girlfriend as they made their way to school.

"Jesse Flores has been named, located and is a low risk threat, Cyber-Core and CRS are a potential threat, Riley is a bitch whore and annoyance, Triple Eight unit 'Myron Stark' needs repairs and reprogramming if not disassembly for spare parts, your muscle mass has increased 0.2 percent, Kaliba is a high level threat as is the unknown series female Terminator." Cameron listed off causing John to pause. "John?"

Said boy looked at his cybernetic girlfriend curiously, "Most of that is helpful, but the parts about Riley and me?" he asked.

"It is part of my mission update, though she is no longer with you she is still an annoying presence in your life and is still a bitch whore, as far you, regardless of my feelings John you are still a part of my mission directives programmed or by personal choice and your health is important to me, as such listing your improvements is important." She announced in a professional tone of voice, which for whatever reason made John smile in appreciation.

"Thank you." He replied sincerely. "But what caused the improvement?" he asked.

Cameron smiled at him brightly. "Sex." She said proudly.

John blushed a deep crimson. "Ugh, right, that'd make sense." He chuckled awkwardly. "Come on, ugh, let's keep going." The pair continued walking to school when John continued speaking.

"Alright, so arranging all the mission updates that are threat, what can we deal with first." He asked.

"Riley can be dealt with easily, with her attendance record it would make an adequate alibi for her disappearance if I were to terminate her and dump or bury her body." Cameron began

"Whoa, whoa, hold on. We can't just kill Riley, you know that Cameron." John interrupted her sternly. "She could be useful in the future." He told her but truthfully was finding it hard to think of how.

"I understand John, I'm sorry." Cameron replied, in truth she was sorry she'd upset him, if he asked her to kill Riley or even hinted they didn't need Riley anymore, the blonde would be dead in less than a day.

"It's okay." He smiled at her reassuringly. "Anyway please continue."

"Next is Jesse Flores, we should investigate her hotel room and see what she knows, it could be damaging." Cameron informed him. "There is the Terminatrix, she is a powerful advanced model. She is stronger, faster and more durable than me."

"Maybe not now though." John said hopefully.

"Negative, even with the recent upgrades I will not be able to defeat this Machine alone." She replied

"Not necessarily, the Triple Eight is a more powerful unit than you are and you've handled them well enough." He replied.

"You are correct, the Triple Eight is a stronger and more durable unit, but I was faster, more agile and more flexible. Compared to this new Machine, my small advantage in agility and flexibility is redundant, it is stronger than a Triple Eight, much stronger, more durable, heavier and ..." Cameron stopped once she saw John's saddened expression, her thought process paused momentarily before calculating a better way to phrase her words. "However with the improvements, dealing with the Machine will be made slightly easier, its advantage is not as substantial as before." She smiled at him reassuringly.

John smiled back at her. "I know you'll be able to hold it off." He said trying to keep the positive attitude going. "So, right, anything else?"

"If possible, it would be proficient to work on the Triple Eight, not only would it benefit you in knowing 'us' in more detail it will give you first-hand experience at reprogramming, a secret ally would be effective, possibly doing objectives we at the time cannot, such as keeping an eye on Jesse." Cameron explained.

John nodded in thought, working on 'Stark' was a good idea.

"Where's Stark now?" he asked

"He's hidden, no one will find him anytime soon." Cameron replied.

"Good, last thing we need is mom or Derek finding it." He said, Cameron noted the use of 'it' rather than 'him'. "We'll need someplace private to work on it, and make sure we're not followed when we find the place."

"We could use the apartments where we confronted Riley." Cameron suggested.

"That wouldn't be bad but they're scheduled to be renovated within a month, will we have time?" he asked.

"A month will do and it gets the Machine away from Derek and Sarah." She pointed out, John couldn't argue with that.

"Alright, I say we get it moved tonight …" he turned to look at her, she noticed and looked back at him. "I'll defer to you on the right time to move it, that okay?"

She nodded, John had given her an objective and she would get it done. "No problemo." She smiled

Jack smirked back and turned his gaze ahead. "Right we'll discuss the rest later, I want to get through some of our objectives. That way we'll have less to worry about in the future."

"We'll get them done." Cameron replied confidently.

"Right so Dyna-Core is a potential Skynet class threat." Lieutenant Luna said as she finished her breakfast, papers and files scattered across the table in front of her.

Her partner, Tony, who had been looking out the window turned his head towards her. "Yes, Dyna-Core is a well-established computer company and research states they have been able to get a patent on files salvaged from Cyberdyne before its collapse in the late 90s." he informed her.

"Well they liked us plenty enough, can you hack into their network and put us on their payroll? We need access to their computers." Luna asked

"Affirmative." He paused in thought. "Were you able to make contact with any other Resistance groups?" he asked

"Negative amigo." She sighed. "They're either well hidden or dead." she grumbled. 'Most likely the latter.' She thought to herself. "From what I can tell, we're on our own." She admitted in a defeated tone.

"Then it would be prudent to search for the Generals Connor." Tony stated.

"Alright, you're right, it's probably our only shot at any back up, so we'll look for them today after you get us on at Dyna-Core." Luna replied, they hadn't much choice.

Within the hour the T-800 had hacked into Dyna-Core's systems and placed himself and Lieutenant Luna on their payroll, scheduled to start on Thursday.

"Why Thursday?" Luna asked as she looked over the metal man's shoulder.

Without turning he replied, "This will supply us more to locate Generals Connor, it is imperative we find them."

"Alright, alright." Luna held her hands up and smirked. "You've got a point. Shall we get started?"

Within a few minutes Luna and Tony were in their car with Tony at wheel, driving towards the location they had last seen Cameron and Sarah Connor.

"So you think we'll find them?" Luna asked breaking the silence.

"We must. The T-895 will find them eventually, and without knowledge of their opponent, they will all be terminated." Tony replied

Luna sighed. "At least we haven't encountered an Eight-Ninety or an Eight-Fifty … or a Nine-Hundred." She said trying to remain optimistic.

"Yes, at least it isn't them." Tony agreed as they went down the first street.

"Okay so, we'll go through the first few houses, then move along in the car, you take one side I'll take another. Got it?" Luna suggested

"Got it." Replied the 800.

Tony knocked upon the first door and waited.

"I'm comin' I'm comin'!" came a male voice from the other side.

The door opened quickly as a man opened the door, he paused briefly and looked up to the taller Tony.

"Can I help you?" he asked.

"I'm looking for two women, one is sixteen, seventeen years of age about 5 foot 6 brown hair and brown eyes, the other is early to mid-30s, brown hair brown eyes, do they live here?" Tony asked

The man shook his head. "Sorry man, no girls live here."

Tony nodded. "Thank you for your time." He turned and walked away towards the next house.

On the opposite side of the road Luna knocked upon a door.

"Just a second." Came elderly male voice from the other side.

The door opened suddenly revealing an elderly man with big thick glasses.

"Hello?" he greeted.

"Ugh hi, I'm looking for two women …" Luna began before being interrupted.

"You a lesbian?" he asked, narrowing his eyes at her.

"Ugh, no, I'm looking for two women, one about 30s the other about late teens, both have dark hair, dark eyes." Luna explained while eyeing the man warily.

"No." the man said annoyed before slamming the door shut.

'Asshole.' Luna thought before walking off.

The duo got back into their car for what seemed the hundredth time that day.

"Anything yet?" she asked annoyance evident in her tone.

"Nothing yet." Tony replied.

"Ugh DAMN IT! Come on let's keep looking." She groaned as Tony started the car.

TARGETS REMAINING:
SUSAN ANN JONES
SUSAN ELIZABETH JONES
JAMES ANTHONY SHEPARD
MISSION: TERMINATE ON SIGHT

TARGET STATUS:
SUSAN ELIZABETH JONES … CAPTURED BY HOSTILE FORCES
SUSAN ANN JONES … UNKNOWN
JAMES ANTHONY SHEPARD … LOCATION DETECTED … ATTENDING CAMPO DE CAHUENGA HIGH SCHOOL

A.T smirked as his name came up on the school roster on her laptop screen, she'd been there on previous occasions, one in hopes of finding Connor, the others to terminate a few select targets, and now another of her targets was already there, how she missed him before she didn't know, it didn't matter she knew where he was, and now she had the perfect opportunity to engage him, the school was having a Halloween party and James had already paid to attend, she could get a simple costume something baggy for weapon concealment move amongst the crowd, locate her target, then strike.

"Perfect." She said quietly to herself.

That left her three days to prepare. Otherwise she needed to locate the other two Susans. The first would be lost to her if the other Machine had her, nevertheless the other may not be totally out of her clutches. Hacking into the Police database she searched for anything retaining the name 'Susan Jones', after multiple files about the other Susans A.T found the one she needed, there was written information on Susan Ann Jones in Precinct 5, that was where Dennis and Sofia were stationed.

'Could be awkward, if I run into either of them.' She thought. An idea suddenly popped into her head, reaching to her side she picked up her cell phone and pressed on Sofia's contact number.

"Hey Sofia." A.T greeted sweetly as her friend answered the phone.

"Hey, what's up, everything okay?" Sofia asked.

"No, no everything's fine, I was just wondering if you were at your station?" she asked.

"Ugh, no, I'm just about to leave with Dennis, why you need something?" Sofia asked in return curiously.

"No, never mind, I'll see you when you get home." A.T cut off her call before Sofia could say another word. She made her way into her bedroom and retrieved her Police uniform, she could easily infiltrate the police stations, located the files on Susan Ann Jones, hopefully it would have her whereabouts on it.

Once changed and armed she walked out of her apartment closing the door quietly behind her.

He'd been keeping a close eye on them since they arrived that day, however to be more accurate he'd been keeping his eye on them since Riley had hinted that John was secretly taking advantage of his sister sexually. But what he'd found were secret smiles to each, meaningful gazes.

Morris wasn't a stupid kid, not too the degree people believed, at first he was going to confront John about what he thought was going on, but then he saw the smile on Cameron's face, a smile directed at John when they both thought no one was looking, that wasn't the expression of an abused sister.

'What is going on between those two?' He wondered.

However all this was thoughts in the back of his mind, at the moment he had bigger problems, much bigger problems, like the guy he'd beat up the other night had gone nuts and killed his two friends and gotten himself killed in the process.

The cops were around the school, speaking to people who knew Miguel, if someone from the party said something about him beating Miguel, it could look bad for him.

"Riley, what am I gunna do?" he whispered to the blonde.

Riley had been near him since she and John broke up, perhaps it was a way for her to stay near John without feeling awkward, or perhaps she just needed someone to talk to, Morris didn't know he wasn't very good understanding girls. But either way, Riley had been close to him since then and was by his side when they got to school.

"Look, don't panic, if the cops come up to you and ask about the fight, or even mention it just say he started it, and afterwards you just wanted to leave. Understand?" she whispered back.

"Yeah, yeah I got it." He replied and sighed.

It was Lunch and so far no cops had come to talk to him which was a small blessing, mostly the cops seemed to stick to friends of Miguel and the other two boys.

"Hey Morris." Came a voice from behind.

"Merda Santos!" Morris yelped and turned around only to see John looking at him curiously and Cameron with indifference.

"You okay Morris?" he asked cautiously.

"Ugh, yeah dude. Totally, I'm good, you just startled me man." Morris panted slowly as he regained his breath.

"You looked deep in thought." John commented then hazard a guess at the cause. "It's about Miguel isn't it?"

"Yeah man." Morris replied looking forlorn. "I'm just worried shit's gunna get back to you or me, I mean Miguel used to talk shit to us man and at the ..." he paused and looked around before moving closer to John. "... at the party I beat him up." He whispered.

"What?" John asked in a whispered shout. "You beat up Miguel?" he asked shocked, before turning his attention to Riley. "Did you know this?"

"Yeah, I knew." Riley replied quietly. "I was with him at the time, and ... I might have been the cause, sort of." She shrugged shyly.

"You're always causing trouble." Cameron stated, her monotone voice firmly in place.

Riley scowled at the Machine girl but said nothing.

"Right well, come on let's go for Lunch and we can hopefully keep you away from the cops." John told them, before walking past Morris and Riley with Cameron.

Riley continued to scowl at the back of the Machine's head then grabbed Morris' arm and pulled him along with her as she moved to catch up to the couple.

Once at a table, John thought about what had happened when he and Czmeron had arrived at school. The first thing they'd noticed were the police.

"John we can still leave without detection." Cameron has said to him.

"Possibly, but not being here could put us on the radar." He explained. "Besides, we have some work to do." He reminded her.

Cameron agreed, they had too many things to do, now was the time for action and results.

During their first break John and Cameron had gotten Riley alone and asked for an update with Jesse.

"She's just been asking for any mission updates, other than that, nothing we haven't met up in a while." Riley had told them.

John and Cameron glanced at one another, John had a plan forming in his mind and it involved Stark and a little playing with someone at their own game, it would take a lot of work but, potentially it would be pay of.

Cameron however just wanted to go to Jesse's apartment and kill her and get it over with, short and simple, and most likely the best option, however she would do it John's way for now, if things got too dangerous, she would take matters into her own hands.

"So John, what's new?" Morris asked bringing John from his thoughts.

"Not much really." John shrugged nonchalantly.

Morris looked at John closely, he noticed him spare Cameron a quick glance, then looked to Cameron who was staring at her plate as she always did, picking up only bits of her food and leaving the majority.

'A girl thing?' he wondered for what seemd the millionth time in his life before looking at Riley who eagerly ate her food. 'Or maybe it's a dieting thing.' He thought.

He now focused on Cameron, she was unlike any girl he'd ever witnessed, she had a strange personality, intelligant, brilliant, but not seemingly all there, she was also strong, much strong than one would imagine given her size. She always seemed to have John on her mind, everything she said about John unless answering a question, everything she did about John, as if he was the center of her Universe and everything revolved around him.

Sure, Morris thought John was a nice guy and all, but he didn't think John was THAT great. Not to the point he thought he deserved worshipping, or atleast the level of loyalty and commitment Cameron was giving him.

"Is there something on my face?" Cameron suddenly asked.

Morris 'awoke' from his deep thoughts realising the others were looking at him, as he had been staring quite blatantly at Cameron

"Ugh, what?" he asked trying to hide is embarrassment.

"Is there something on my face?" she asked again her unblinking eyes boring right into Morris.

"Ugh no sorry, just zoned out." He admitted blushing in embarrassment.

Cameron tilted her head, said nothing then returned to examining her food.

"So you guys excited about the Halloween party?" asked James, who seemed to suddenly appear as he sat down beside Riley.

"Yeah it sounds like fun!" Riley spoke up with enthusiasm.

"Totally looking forward to it!" Morris agreed smiling.

"Are you going?" Cameron asked as she looked towards John.

"Yeah I'm going." He smiled. "Could be fun."

"Then I'll go." She replied then looked to James. "We're going." She confirmed.

"Awesome." James smirked eyeing Cameron like she was a prize.

John watched James from the corner of his eye, but said nothing, Cameron could handle James, and John would warn her about him.

Right now John just wanted the day to be over so he and Cameron could work on the Triple Eight.

The door to Precinct 5 swung open as A.T made her way inside.

"Hey." The officer at the desk greet her.

"Hi, I need to find the evidence room." A.T stated and gave the man a reassuring smile.

The man looked over her curiously, as if thinking about something. "You from Precinct 13?" he asked

A.T thought over the question, it was good cover as to her lack of knowledge on the buldings layout.

"Yeah, I'm from Precinct 13, I was told to get the file on the other Susan Jones." She replied.

He smiled and nodded his head. "Go right in, take a left and follow the directions." He told her helpfully.

Giving him her thanks she walked on through and followed the directions to the evidence room, walking inside she began her search through the 'J' section.

She continued to look until she found it, a box labeled "Jones, Susan Ann". Tearing it open she looked up the files about the woman, skimming through until she found an action report which gave precise details about what had occured with her, the Police picked her up the morning before the attack at the other precinct with Susan Ann Jones going missing and then moved her to a secure location, the file gave the address of where Susan was.

Smirking to herself A.T took the file and walked towards the exit when reentering the foyee.

"You get what you needed?" the desk cop asked.

A.T turned and smiled at him without stopping. "Sure did thanks." She turned back around and walked out.

The desk officer frowned and picked up his phone, dialed a number. "Someone's coming to you." He said plainly.

A.T set a route and drove to the location designated in the files, the drive wasn't too long, 20 minutes tops, eventually she found it and parked outside, the location was a nice cosy two story house, a small manageable front garden and a garage built onto the side.

'I wonder if there's any property for sale around here.' A.T idly wondered, she was about to get out of her car when a thought crossed her mind, about what had happened before she went blindly into a building searching for her target, she'd walked right into a trap with the police, she paused and drove on, and parked down the other end of the road, she got out and snuck her way back to the house.

She kept herself hidden while circling the house while switching through multiple scan visions, technicolour, infrared scan vision, thermal, her vision zoomed in through panes of glass some partially covered with curtains or netting. Once she had completed a full sweep, her assumption proved correct. There were police inside: some uniformed; some in suits; some in SWAT gear; armed with everything from pistols to shotguns and short-barrelled 5.56 carbines. She felt almost touched by the amount of hardware they had brought, just to stop her. Almost.

She glanced at her sidearm; a simple Glock 17 in her police holster and two spare magazines. She felt herself smirk before confidantly marching towards the backdoor, drawing her gun from her holster, then kicked the door open.

"Another freaking bust Sarah." Derek blurted out as he got back into the jeep.

"Shut it Derek." Sarah said heatedly as she got inside the driver's seat and slammed the door shut harder than need be.

"Seriously Sarah, you're obsessed with these fucking three dots." Derek snapped as he leaned closer to her, the veteran Resistance soldier leaned back in his chair. "All this over something a dying man put on a damn wall, they don't mean anything Sarah, the guy put his hand on the wall so he wouldn't fall the fuck over from bloodloss." Derek said with frustration.

"They meant something Derek, I'm sure of it!" Sarah snapped back arguin her case. "If it wasn't a message then there would have been more blood sprint and a smear, I know it's a message Derek, I can feel it."

Derek stared at her incredulously. "You can feel it. Seriously?" he asked in annoyance.

"Have I ever been wrong before?" Sarah snapped in reply while glaring at him.

"There's a first time for everything." Derek replied just as Sarah punched him in the jaw. "Ahhh son of a …" he grimaced as he held his jaw.

"Will you shut up already?" Sarah all but snarled at the man before starting the vehicle and driving out of the car park.

The silence between the pair was tense. Sarah wouldn't look at Derek while the man nursed his aching jaw. Eventually it got to the point where Derek couldn't take it anymore.

"Alright, look I'm sorry okay?" he blurted out, wincing slightly from the dull pain in his jaw. "It's just this is another useless lead we've tracked." He complained.

"Well at least we're doing something Derek." Sarah finally replied and glanced at him. "What about you hmm?" she asked still clearly annoyed. "You haven't been exactly helpful, you haven't been looking for leads. Your mysterious contacts seem to have no luck finding anything since me and Danny had to go to that Kaliba facility." She retorted, bad memories surfacing in her mind, the gunfire, the panic that Danny was going through. It was more a miracle of God that they survived rather than luck and skill.

Derek deflated immediately. "Yeah, I know, and I'm sorry okay?" he frowned. "I just want to be able to do some real damage before it's too late, ya know?"

Sarah's rough exterior seemed to melt away, her face growing sullen. "I know Derek, I know." She glanced back to him for a moment. "And don't worry, I won't tell John his uncle looked like he was gunna cry." She smirked mimicking what Derek had said to her the other day.

Derek said nothing but smirked at her then turned his attention back to the world outside.

Once they returned back to the safe house they saw Danny come running out towards them, alarmed that something could be wrong they both reached for their pistols.

"Sarah, Sarah!" Danny called as he ran over to the opening door.

Sarah looked around pistol at the ready. "What, what's going on? What's happened?"

"There was a woman looking for you earlier." He told her.

Sarah holstered her weapon and glanced at Derek curiously then looked back to Danny.

"A woman, was looking for me?" she asked clarifying what she'd just heard.

"Well, I think it was you, you and Cameron, she was looking for." Danny replied.

"What exactly did this woman say?" Sarah asked as she crossed her arms.

"Well she said do two women live here, one about mid 30s the other about a 16." He replied.

Both Sarah and Derek groaned the latter holstering his pistol and both gave Danny a slightly annoyed look.

"Danny they could've been looking for anyone." Sarah told him as she uncrossed her arms and made her way to the door Derek following behind her.

Danny frowned to himself, she was right it wasn't likely the woman was looking for them, maybe the state of constant paranoia in the house was getting to him, he shook his head then slapped his cheeks with both lands repeatedly.

'Get it together Danny, you're losing your cool.' He mentally berated himself. "Keep it together man." He whispered to himself before making his way back inside.

A.T calmly stepped out of the door, a smile plastered on her face, her Glock holstered by her side, her interrogation skills had sufficiently gotten her, her needed information, unlike before the good weather perfectly mirrored her mood, even the few shots to her torso and legs weren't enough to ruin her mood. She was making her way back to her car when her cell phone started to buzz, taking it from her pocket she glanced at the name; Sofia, she smiled.

"Hey girl." She greeted cheerfully.

"Hey listen." Sofia began urgently in a whispered voice. "Listen, if you hack into the Police database don't look for anything about Susan Jones, it's a trap."

A.T rolled her eyes. 'Would've been nice a little sooner.' She thought. "Too late girl I nearly, nearly, walked right into it, how'd you find that out anyway?" she asked.

"I just heard from one of my co-workers about the trap, and you walked right into it." Sofia whispered, shock evident in her voice

"I nearly walked into it, I've got all the information I need now." A.T smiled to herself. "I'm guessing I was picked up on camera and the desk guy probably saw me. He need to be terminated."

She heard Sofia gulp on the other side of the line.

"Okay." She began hesitantly. "His name is Martin Jackson. I'm sure you can find his address."

A.T smiled, Sofia was such an obedient and loyal woman. "Thanks babe, keep this up and you and Rebecca are going to be fine, I promise you that."

"Okay, I'll see you tonight." Sofia whispered.

"Later babe." A.T hung up and got into her car.

REMOVE ANY EVIDENCE FROM PRECINCT 5
TERMINATE ALL WITNESSES

Still smirking A.T set her car to drive and made her way towards her target a feeling of glee coming over her, soon all her targets would be terminated … except for Sofia and Rebecca of course.

She parked up outside the building, and looked up to the apartment flats, she could if she wanted to go in guns blazing, kill everything that moved and have a good time doing it, but it was a nice sunny day, why spoil the pleasant atmosphere?

They had been clever and had almost lured her into a trap, fine, she could be clever too. As she had driven to the building her CPU had come up with multiple plans of action, the first as mentioned was to go in guns blazing and kill all witnesses. But that was programing level of a simple minded T-800, she was Skynet, she was infinitely more intelligent, resourceful and had been taste in clothes. She could go find the room they were in, then go to the building adjacent and snipe them, well she could if she had brought a high powered rifle.

OH! OH! She knew what to do, and it was devilishly clever!

Susan Ann Jones was frustrated and scared, she'd been in this room for nearly a day surrounded by police under protection against some nutcase phonebook killer. That was before she'd seen the destruction of Precinct 13 where a woman with her name, or near enough, had gone missing now presumed dead, at the time seeing the aftermath on the TV she'd asked the Lieutenant in charge of her protection just what they were up against, she said she didn't know.

Suddenly the radio came to life with a frantic voice.

"Mallory, Mallory! Report!" came a gruff alarmed voice.

Lieutenant Mallory, an average built woman about 5 foot 7 in height, rushed to the radio and answered the call.

"Frank what's going on?" she answered frantically.

"There's been a leak, your position has been compromised and orders from the top are to get Jones out of there pronto! I've already dispatched an unmarked unit to get Jones out of there, she'll meet you by the stairs."

"Alright Frank, I'll send Jones down with an escort, tell your unit to meet them by the elevator, Mallory out." With that the Lieutenant canceled the connection and turned to look at Susan and nodded to her before looking at the other officers around her. "Alright you heard him we're getting out of here. Pack your shit we're leaving." She turned her attention to three suited officers. "Boyce, James you two will secure Jones get her out of here, we'll be right behind you." She told them before tossing the pair of them a Heckler & Koch MP7A1 each and a few magazines. "Just in case you need them." She told them.

The two officer tucked the compact weapon away and hurried Susan into the elevator and pressed for the ground floor.

The 'ding' of the elevator alerted them that they'd arrived stepping out the came face to face with a female officer sunglasses over her eyes, a leather jacket with a badge on top of it.

"Susan Jones?" she asked.

"Yeah that's me." Susan replied timidly.

The officer looked to Boyce and James. "If you'll all come with me, there's no time to waste, we need to get out of here." She hurried them all outside. "I parked around the corner." She told them as the trio kept pace with her. Once around the corner the officer hurried them into her car, putting it into gear she reversed out of the small alley and drove down the road.

"How were we compromised?" Ian James asked.

The officer kept her eyes on the road as she replied. "I'm not sure, Frank just told me to come pick you up and get Susan out of there. We need a place to regroup."

In truth, A.T wanted someplace secluded to terminate her three targets and dump the bodies. If nothing interrupted them this would go off without a problem.

Things were going okay until A.T drove towards the harbor.

"James! Boyce! GET OUT OF THERE FRANK'S DEAD!" Mallory's voice suddenly called over their radio.

Boyce looked at his radio then at the driver, she was so calm, he reached inside his jacket to grab the MP7 when the driver lashed out without looking hitting Boyce hard in the throat breaking his windpipe then with the same hand she drew her Glock turned herself around and fired a round straight into James' skull.

Susan screamed loudly as she unlocked her door and jumped out hitting the ground hard and rolled across the tarmac floor, A.T slammed her foot on the breaks as the car came to a screeching halt, she got out and looked at Susan; the woman still conscious, in great pain, A.T's scans informed her Susan had broken her left leg upon impact with the ground, several ribs and dislocated her left arm in several places, though it seemed adrenaline alone was giving the woman the strength to crawl away, albeit at a slow pace.

A.T strode her way towards Susan her eyes scanning the immediate area for onlookers, nothing, no one anywhere, at least not yet. A.T grabbed the woman forcefully hoisted her over her shoulder and carried her back to the car, she put the woman in the back seat.

Giving her a once over, A.T decided it was a real shame, the Susan in front of her was younger and better looking than the other Susan, quickly she made up her mind, pressed her lips to the screaming Susan and did what she had to do.

Luna groaned as she collapsed onto the sofa. "What a bust." She grumbled.

"Affirmative, however tomorrow we may be successful." Tony said as he sat down next to her, she had commented that she didn't like it when he stood above her.

"Yeah well I hope so amigo, I'm beat." She groaned. "So many rude people, you get any?" she asked

"No, however it was most likely due to my size and stature." He replied.

"Typical, gotta be big and have balls to get any respect around here." Luna complained throwing her arms up in exasperation, she let out a frustrated grunt before laying her head back. "Madre de Dios." She quietly grumbled to herself. "Well at least we've got Dyna-Core to infiltrate in two days. Hopefully that'll give us better luck." She said, mostly to herself. 'Then we still got Cyber-Core robotics.' She thought realising even if they didn't find the Connor immediately, they had plenty to do otherwise.

"You think it'll be better to stick together once we're at Dyna-Core?" she asked

"Initially for safety reasons we can determine their level of security then we can determine whether or not it is safe to split up." He replied.

"Well, either way, there better be a damned A.I or SOMETHING to blow up, or I'm gunna lose it." She said irritably. "My mind, I'm gunna lose my mind." She clarified noticing the T-800s stare. "And it's just an expression before you ask, it means lose my temper, comprendre?"

"Affirmative, I comprendre." He replied.

"Good, good, now let's watch some TV, I need to relax." Luna suggested as she lifted up the remote beside her and turned on the television.

The end of the school day at last, John could barely believe it, school just seemed to drone on and on, more and more as the days went by. By this time he was ready for some action anything to make his day better.

'Shut up John, be careful what you wish for.' He mentally told himself immediately looking around in case his little wish magically spawned a Triple-Eight near his location.

John and Cameron just finished walking out the door when Morris called to him from behind.

"Hey John! John! I need to talk to you man!" the teen called.

John and Cameron stopped, both turning towards Morris as he caught up to them.

"Hey Cameron." Morris greeted with a smile. "You mind if I talk to John privately for a second?" he asked

"If John wants too." She stated looking to her brother/boyfriend.

Morris winced inwardly, noting how Cameron did whatever John said to do, like her boss, her master, he found it fucked up, the way their relationship seemed to be sometimes, and the thought that John could be manipulating her for sex.

"Ugh …" John paused glancing at his watch. "… sure we have some time." He motioned for Morris to lead on, "We won't be too long Cameron." John said to her while smiling. Cameron smiled and nodded in return.

Morris led John away from Cameron, completely unaware the Cyborg girl was increasing her audio receptors to listen in to their conversation.

Once far enough away, or so he thought, Morris turned towards John, rubbing his hands down his pants as they began to sweat. 'Okay, this is it, don't start too strong, ease into it man. Like speedos.'

"So Morris, what's on your mind?" John asked calmly.

"Well, a few things really." Morris said, not looking directly at John while rubbing the back of his neck nervously. John allowed Morris to speak at his own pace. "I was just worried about the cops man, I mean, after what I did, I was shitting bricks man, I thought they'd think I did it or something," Morris took a deep breath to calm his nerves.

"I can understand that, anyone would be shitting themselves." John said calmly hoping to alleviate some of Morris' worry, in truth he had thought Morris could have done it but that thought was dismissed the second it came, Morris couldn't shoot a gun, the guy jumped at his own shadow when nervous, that was what made the fact he beat up Miguel all the more shocking.

"Yeah, yeah, I was, just scared is all." He panted, this was good, he was getting the conversation flowing and now he'd push the subject towards John and Cameron. "So how're you and Cameron taking it?" he asked, the immediate though of Cameron taking it from John popped into his mind, "The news! I mean." He yelped.

John looked at Morris curiously, he must have been affected worse by the events than John had originally thought, but perhaps there was something more. He'd discuss it with Cameron later.

"We were shocked, I mean there's been a few murders around here lately then we had a week break from school because a few students were killed, and now Miguel gets himself blown away while taking his two buddies with him." He replied silently gauging Morris' reactions. "But we knew we had to get on with life, so why bother worrying, I mean Miguel didn't like me either but I'm not afraid of the police." He half lied, he wasn't afraid of police only wary of them.

"Yeah that's a positive way to look at things I guess." Morris admitted truthfully. "So ugh, how've you guys been?" he asked, mentally slapping himself at how forward that was.

"We're good. Mom's still a little tough on us but, yeah we're good." John replied nonchalantly, this whole talk John had been cautious of how he answered Morris' questions, since Riley's betrayal he was trying to get a better read of people, see if anything was off about them or if his gut instinct was telling him something was amiss. He was getting an inkling that Morris was up to something, or he knew something.

"Moms man, they make life all sorts of hell right?" Morris joked trying to get John to lower his guard unaware of how futile his attempts were.

When Morris pulled John away to talk, Riley seized the opportunity and walked up to Cameron, Cyborg girl turned her attention to the advancing blonde.

"You did well." Riley said giving Cameron a conspiratorial smirk.

"I did what was needed to make sure John's safety wasn't threatened, you owe me." Cameron replied shortly.

Riley crossed her arms, the smirk never leaving her face.

"Yeah, about that." She said slyly. "I'm pretty sure John doesn't know about what really happened, does he?" she said in a smug tone.

Cameron already didn't like where the conversation was leading. "Why does it matter to you?" she asked.

"Nothing, nothing." Riley replied. "Just curious is all."

Cameron stepped closer to the girl staring at her directly in the eye. "I believe the phrase is; 'curiosity killed the cat'. You do not want to be the cat."

Riley finally lost her smirk and gulped quietly. "Alright okay, just chill …"

"I know what you were trying to do Riley, what you were thinking." Cameron stated interrupting the girl. "You were going to tell John, try and get him to be disgusted with me, or angry." The look on Riley's face told her everything. "I don't care how you figured it out between me and John, but he'll never go back to you."

Riley mentally cursed over and over again, this, her attempt to blackmail the Machine couldn't have gone more wrong.

"But know this Riley." Cameron continued. "If you did tell John, yes he would be upset with me, but he'd get over it, if I told him it was your idea to kill them, he may not be so willing to ensure your safety and if not remember, I know where you will." Cameron stated before marching towards John and Morris.

"John it's time we go, mom will freak if we're late." She told him as she placed a hand on his shoulder.

John looked at her silently relieved at the interruption. "Oh god, yeah you're right." He turned to look at Morris and shrugged apologetically. "Sorry man, moms' right?" he said mimicking Morris' earlier words.

Cameron and John hastily made their way from the school towards home.

"Morris was up to something." "Riley knows about us." John and Cameron (respectively) said at the same time.

The pair looked at one another surprised.

"Okay that was weird." John admitted chuckling before what Cameron same registered. "So she knows? Well nothing we can do about it now." John said reluctantly before a thought suddenly occurred to him, "But her knowing does make things add up." He thought out loud.

"What do you mean?" Cameron asked, pretending she hadn't heard everything John and Morris were talking about.

John looked at her slyly, "Oh I think you know." Busted, Cameron averted her gaze from his. "Morris was asking some strange questions."

"And he and Riley have been spending time together." Cameron added on.

"So maybe she's slipped in we might be together." John surmised.

"And without him knowing are true relationship, he may think we are indulging in incestuous activities." Cameron said bringing the whole thing together.

"Shit." John cursed angrily. "This is the last thing we need."

"Perhaps reprogramming the Triple-Eight quickly is the best course of action." Cameron suggested.

John nodded in agreement. "Tonight after everyone has gone to bed, you and I will get the Triple-Eight to the apartments and we'll work on it all night if we have to."

"But what about school tomorrow?" Cameron asked.

"We'll pretend I'm ill, you'll give mom some fake story about a high temperature or something, think you can do that?" he asked.

Cameron smiled at John. "I'll think of something."

Jason's Notes

Now, I left Susan Ann Jones' fate ambiguous for one reason. I want you, the reader to decide her fate. Will A.T do another Sofia and take pity on the attractive young woman? Or will she be the deadly Machine she is underneath and kill her?

The decision is yours.

As always, please leave a review I enjoy reading them or send me a PM I enjoy those too.

This is Jason Voorhees and thank you for reading.
