It's been two weeks since Hiccup started living on Gaul and he was walking around the village with girls following him and giggling at him when he stops to chat with a villager.

They were more accepting of his dragon protector as long as he didn't cause destruction to the village.

He mostly just acted like a curious puppy which the villagers found it adorable when he found something fascinating and see how it works.

Sophie was sitting in the Hall being surrounded by village girls gossiping about Hiccup the dragon rider.

One girl by the name Britney blushes "that Hiccup is so hot riding the most feared dragon known to the world. Sophie just scowl silently at them.

A girl named Sarah notice Sophie's scowl and smirks "so Sophie, what is Hiccup like to you?"

Sophie sighs "he doesn't impress me at all."

Sarah smirks "I think you have crush on him. Oh wait, you don't have a crush on Hiccup. Your in love with him!"

Sophie sighs "fine, I like him alot. He trained a Nightfury, the most dangerous dragon known to man and he makes good weapons for us and is so nice and sweet to anyone who talks to him. Who ever this Astrid Hofferson girl is, I would like to beat her up for giving soon to be married girls a bad name. She and that Berk destroyed him because of their traditions."

Britney smirks "well I'm out of the competition, because I can't compete with you in winning Hiccup over."

Sophie smiles bashfully and cheers "yay, I win Hiccup."pppopp

The other girls look at her and ask "did she just act like an excited five year old girl?"

Sarah smirks "Sophie, When's the first date?"

Sophie sighs "I don't know because he's still cautious about being alone with any girl because of what he suffered in Berk."

Sarah sighs "how about I help you get Hiccup to go on a date with you?"

Sophie ask "why would you help me?"

Sarah smiles "because you love him."

Sophie blushes at the comment.

Sarah ask "what does he love to eat for lunch?"

Sophie smirks "oh, that's easy, fish filay and cooked fully."

Britney smiles bashfully "okay then, Sophie, you cook the fish and we'll setup a the picnic for you two."

Sophie smiles "bring oranges or strawberries too."

Britney and Sarah leave to go collect oranges and Strawberries from the storage shed.

Sophie heads home and begins skinning some fish for lunch date with Hiccup. After that, she cooks them over a fireplace until they're nice crispy. Then she puts them on a plate and covers them and place them in a small basket and heads out to the Forge to see Hiccup.

(On Berk)

Two weeks, since Hiccup left Berk with his Nightfury that no one knew he trained him. Astrid's life hasn't been the same since. She was banned from seeing her friends because they couldn't tell right from wrong and Alistair and Ingrid didn't want their daughter being around that kind of influence, because she already destroyed her engagement to Hiccup.

Everyone just carried on trying to fight the dragon raids with little effect. Astrid was labeled the dishonorable Hofferson because of her plan to divorce Hiccup after the wedding and ordering the beat up on Hiccup for talking to her.

Chief Stoick couldn't face the Hoffersons or Gobber because of the secret deal with Astrid, but he made her, his heir anyway because his nephew couldn't handle being polite to visiting Tribes.

After Astrid heard that Hiccup trained a Nightfury in the forest and was planning on leaving Berk forever, she was broken inside because she never acted like a fiance and was impressed that Hiccup trained the most dangerous dragon in the Barbaric Archipelago sea.

At night she would go to the cliff and stare out to the sea and whisper "I'm sorry, Hiccup" over and over until she felt tired and head home to bed feeling bad about herself.

(On Gaul)

Hiccup finished fixing a dented sword and put a tag on it with the villager's name on it "another name off the list."

Sophie knocks on the counter to get his attention and ask "could you come with me on a walk to the hillside that gives the perfect view of the sunset?"

Hiccup grabs the list of weapon repairs to see only five names left and looks at the sun to see it's only eleven o'clock and says "I can take an early lunch and finish these names afterwards" and looks at Sophie who was looking at him with an adorable hopeful smile on her face and says "sure, I'll join you on a walk to the hillside to look at the sea."

Sophie smiles and both leave the Forge and walk to the hillside. She brings the picnic basket with them.

When they arrive at the hillside, Hiccup sees a sheet on the ground with a basket filled with oranges and strawberries and ask "what is this doing here?"

Sophie pouts "I hope you don't think bad of me, but I wanted to go on a date with you because I like you alot and the other girls found out that I have a crush on you and I know your scared to be alone with any girl because of your ex-fiance."

Hiccup smiles "what do you have in that basket that your holding?"

Sophie smiles "fish, defilaied and cooked until crisp, just the way you like it."

Hiccup sits down on the sheet and says "let's eat lunch."

Sophie joins him on the sheet eating lunch together.

Hiccup curious ask "what do you like about me?"

Sophie blushes red "I like how your so sweet to anyone who talks to you. How you train a Nightfury. How your adorable with children. Your the first person to talk to me after so long of being alone. I would like to have a relationship with you."

Hiccup smiles "I like how you fend off the other girls when they get a little too close for comfort. I like that you let me stay with you when no one else had room for me. I feel complete being around you and I like you alot too."

Sophie smiles "I know your scared to start a relationship with girls, but I won't betray you like that immature girl in Berk and I won't use you for personal gain and dump you."

Hiccup looks at her to see the unbroken truth in her eyes and grabs her hand to hold "I believe we can date and see where this takes us as boyfriend and girlfriend, Sophie."

The rest of the lunch break, they ate the fish together and fed each other strawberries and oranges.

After having lunch together they head back to the Forge so that Hiccup can finish his list of orders, but before he heads inside, Sophie grabs his collar and plants a kiss on his cheek "thank you for not turning away from the surprised lunch date and would you take me flying on Toothless tonight?"

Hiccup gaped at being kissed on the cheek and almost missed her question and smiles "of course, I'll take you on a flight on Toothless tonight."

Sophie heads to the hall to find the girls and tell them all about the lunch date before they come looking for her.

When she finds Britney and Sarah, they ask her "how was the date?"

She blushes madly and says "it went great and he said yes to having a relationship with me!"

Sarah and Britney giggled and say "we should celebrate?"

Sophie smiles "actually, I asked him to take me on a flight with Toothless tonight."

Sarah smirks "I can bet that this Astrid Hofferson is sitting on a cliff telling herself that she's sorry for what she did."

Britney smirks "I wonder what she would think when Sophie has baby with Hiccup and realized she could have had that if she gave him a chance?"

Sophie gasped "Britney! A little too early for baby talk! We just had a lunch date! Bring that up too early will ruin what just began a few minutes ago. Plus we're only fourteen years old, I think maybe I'll marry him in two years if we date that long."

Sarah smirks "oh I smell wedding bells already!"

Sophie sighs "oh that is it!" And chases Sarah around the village with Britney laughing.

Hiccup finished his orders for the day and decides to go see Toothless at home and play chase the light because it makes him happy.

He walks over to Sophie's house to see Toothless laying down outside sleeping and says "wake up, bud! Do you want to play chase the light?"

Toothless opens one eye to see Hiccup and huffs at being woke up and gets up and starts getting excited when Hiccup mention playing the game chase the light.

Hiccup pulls out his little hammer and reflects the sunlight around on the ground to have Toothless chase it.

About an hour later Sophie comes home to see Hiccup drawing in a new sketch book and ask "what are you drawing?"

Hiccup smiles "you."

Sophie curious ask "what do you mean by your drawing me?"

Hiccup turns the sketch book around after he finished the drawing to show a picture of her and ask "do you like it?"

Sophie smiles "I love it! Do you draw other people as well?"

Hiccup sighs "I was left alone alot on Berk. No one bothered to check on how I was doing which is why no one knew that I trained Toothless for five months. Berk's tradition was that if you were born a hiccup, you get treated like an outcast until you kill your first dragon and prove that your a Viking."

Sophie gasped "what kind of person would make a tradition like that, without even considering that the person might want to take revenge on the people who cast them out?"

Hiccup sighs "which is why I left to find a new home because my dad decided to replace me for my fiance as his new heir after we got married after both of us turned fifteen. Plus she met this boy named Thuggory and he offered for her hand in marriage and she didn't even refuse it because she said any guy is better than me as a husband."

Sophie sighs "is that why you are scared of being in a relationship with a girl?"

Hiccup smiles "your different from her, you care about me, she never did. I was forced to try and talk to her by my dad and she would have my cousin and his buddy Tuffnut beat me up for trying to talk to her."

Sophie sighs "well I hope I can help you get past your fears of dating, Hiccup."

Hiccup hugs her "you heal me, Sophie."

(On Berk)

Astrid helped her mom with washing Landry. Her parents decided that they would not sign a marriage contract with any guy because of how she treated her fiance and feared that if they did and the boy was sweet and scared to hurt her, that she would drive that boy to kill himself.

She ask Johann, if there was stories about a boy riding a black dragon and would come up empty.

Stoick figure that Hiccup wanted a new home and didn't want Berk to find him, so he doesn't travel anywhere to be discovered.

Alistair figure that Hiccup must be happy with his new life off of Berk if he was thinking of committing suicide.

Astrid would whispers to herself "I have to apologize to him and tell him that I'll marry him to rehonor myself no matter the consequences."

Gobber works the Forge, repairing weapons even though he wants to quit because of how they treated his apprentice.

(On Gaul)

After Hiccup made dinner for him and Sophie, he took her on a night flight around Gaul on Toothless, showing her the Northern lights and the village lit up at night.

Sophie wrapped her arms around him tighter and sighed happy "this is perfect, Hiccup. This would make any girl happy if they gave you a chance. Did you want to show this Astrid girl what you can do?"

Hiccup sighs "I tried for a month to talk to her, but she refused to give me a chance, but you gave me a chance and I feel drawn to you. Thank You for giving me a chance at dating."

Sophie smiles "I like you, Hiccup and want to see where this relationship takes us."

Hiccup smiles "me too, even if this is my relationship with you."
