Chapter - 10 Thought You Were Dead
Author's notes: Sorry again for such a long delay, the usual YouTube work and school. But now add that I'm writing an actual book. (Sadly, not Kim Possible lol)
Shego went through the door of her and Kim's condo and quietly closed the door behind her, a blank yet happy and scared look on her face, not that she'd admit to it. Jewels raised her head from her position laying on the black loveseat, with a lime pillow on one side and a bright pink on the other. The cat watched her pale green owner seemingly kicked off her shoes on the boot tray and then began to walk with a blank expression on her face as she made her way towards the seat.
Jewels began to stretch as if expecting Shego to begin petting her like normal before she frantically scampered out of the way as Shego sat down on her side of the seat, where Jewels happened to be laying. The cat slowly turned towards her owner, seemingly with a feeling of 'Oi, I was laying there' before staring up at Shego's blank expression.
Shego moved her right hand passed her shirt and placed it on her bare skin, feeling the extra warmth emanating from her belly. "I'm pregnant…" She slowly said. A phrase she had been saying for the past four hours as she drove around Middleton with no set destination as she tried to take the day's events in.
She and Kim were going to have a child together. She'd be lying if she said she didn't want this, hell she honestly didn't care which of them was the birthing mother and who was the 'father' but the idea that she was the one that was going to be called 'mommy' everyday when their daughter could speak was becoming special to her. Even more so as with many pregnancies, this wasn't expected and she couldn't wait to tell Kim the news. They had briefly spoke about having the birthing mother be called 'Mommy' when they were younger or 'mother' as a means to better specify which parent was being talked to, with the 'father' being simply called 'mom'.
Shego's thoughts were interrupted as Jewels jumped onto her lap and purred, nuzzling against Shego body as if trying to get Shego's attention.
Shego blinked and smiled, leaning into the seat as she began to pet Jewels' back and tail. "Oh I hope you're good around kids…" She said worryingly.
Jewels stopped purring and looked up at Shego, given the context of what was said it seemed as if the cat was looking at Shego with a 'wtf' face but this was a normal thing for cats and especially Jewels.
Shego was about to turn on the massive television screen before she heard the locks on the door open all at once, telling her that Kim used her plasmaglow to open the door. She shot upright and caused Jewels to meow loudly as she was catapulted off Shego's lap, landing on all fours she let out an annoyed meow next and looked back up at Shego.
Kim soon came through the door with a backpack, that she dropped with a loud thud, kicking her flip-flops off she immediately pounced forward and Shego caught her, however Kim's familiar momentum pushed Shego backwards and landed butt first before continuing and laying on her back, her hands pressing up against Kim's stomach to keep her safely away from her stomach. Before Shego could say anything Kim's lips locked onto Shego's familiar black lips and the two kissed passionately.
Kim broke the kiss and looked at Shego with lust filled eyes. "Damn I missed you!" She cried out.
"And I missed you Kim!" Shego said, not using a pet name for Kim. "I have something to tell you!" She added.
Kim's stomach then began to growl loudly and Kim let out a long moan. "One second. I've been starving all day!" She said before scampering off Shego and racing to the kitchen.
Shego stared up at the ceiling blinking a few times and then proceeded to lout out a loud groan and quickly got up. "Kim!" She said, unsure why her using Kim's actual name wasn't getting her pink-hued wife's attention as she walked towards the kitchen. Admittedly she can be snippy and space off when she's starving, but this was testing her otherwise limited patience.
Just then there was a knock at the door, which caused Shego to stop mid step and flare up her plasma powers in her hands as her, what Drakken would say, plasma rage showed through in which she'd flare her hands and let out a growl to show herself to be pissed off more than usual. "Never fails…" She muttered under her breath, turning her head at the door, ready to throw a heated plasma ball to melt the door and smack into the person on the other side. Then a second set of knocking on the door followed.
"Could you get that?" Kim asked as she was digging in one of the cupboards for what Shego thought was a breakfast/snack bar. Glad they had plenty of it and coming in after saving a couple Executives at the company that made them.
Shego doused her plasma and walked towards the door thinking to herself. Whoever it is better have a damn fucking good reason for being here. And if it's one of Kimmie's friends and they forgot they could open the door themselves I don't care if Princess doesn't want me to fry them, they're getting fried!
Shego unlocked the door as she got to within arms length of it and opened it, ready to kill/mam whomever was behind the door but something inside her changed instantly as whatever pale green pigmentation she had on her skin seemed to drain all at once as a familiar person came into view.
The person was female with long flowing fiery red hair, standing just as tall as herself but stood a bit taller thanks to a pair of three inch heeled knee high black pleather boots. She also wore a black jacket overtop a v-neck cherry red blouse and black skin tight jeans. But what clinched it, were the piercing olive green eyes that the second they saw her, seemed to go from wanting to pierce a solid steel wall to a friendly look.
At the sight Shego could only muster one word out. "Sara…"
"Shego…" Sara said before pouncing Shego similar to what Kim had done, causing Shego to fall backwards and try to keep her long thought dead girlfriend from crushing her stomach and womb. Sara went further in kissing Shego's lips as if nothing had changed from her supposide death.
Shego knew it wasn't right, but the memories flooded in from the familiar kiss as her eyes began blinking rapidly, though she didn't wrap her arms around Sara like she used too. It was a small after thought that she didn't think openly but she knew Kim was bound to see this and thus she would hold the apparent moral high ground when the two would eventually spat over the kissing. But she knew she couldn't help it, Sara was the only other person she ever let get even remotely close enough to call a friend, much less a girlfriend and she had thought Sara was dead. But here she was, kissing her once again and she was happy but also the thoughts of her pregnancy with Kim's child reared its seemingly ugly head as now how could she tell Kim about it now of all times.
Kim heard the thud but didn't know what it was and walked out of the kitchen with a chocolate chip bar wrapper in her hand. "Who's at the door Sheg…" She started to ask, trailing off as she saw the two women and their long hair on the floor. The floor covered in a messy circle of fiery red, black and neon green hair with the redhead on top of Shego and it looked as if the two were kissing though Shego looked like it was a case of she didn't have a choice in the matter. "Ah… Shego?" She finally asked, finding it strange that she was aroused by the two women kissing before remembering Shego is her wife.
Sara pulled back from the kiss and looked up at Kim and blinked.
Kim for her part saw Sara's face and remembered Shego's last picture with Sara and immediately saw the resemblance, especially locking onto Sara's olive green eyes. "Sara?!" She exclaimed, dropping the wrapper of her snack bar in surprise.
Sara looked back down at Shego who too still seemed surprised, before looking back at Kim. She looked Kim up and down and saw so many similar features with Shego, from the pale pink skin that looked too similar to Shego's pale-green to the black and neon pink highlights, though the last two and a half feet (¾ of a meter) of her hair was a fiery red like her own and looked similar to Shego's own hair last she saw Shego all those years ago.
"I Thought You Were Dead…" Shego quietly said and with some sadness in her voice, her eyes slowly starting to water.
Sara looked back down at Shego and then slowly turned her eyes to Shego's left hand and saw the pink gems on her engagement ring and the wedding band. Seeing that she quickly looked to Kim's left hand and saw the same ring design but with green gemstones along with the wedding band before looking back at Shego.
"I thought you were dead…" Shego repeated, the tears on her eyes finally spilling over the furthest edges of her eyes and rolling down her sides as she laid on the floor. She slowly brought her right hand to Sara's face and caressed Sara's cheek and face as if reaching up to see if she was truely feeling reality and this wasn't a twisted dream. This caused Sara to gasp softly as the familiar touch from Shego caressing her face as she had done years ago flooded her being.
Kim for her part seemed to be accepting of Shego's response to Sara, though probably more out of sheer shock that Sara was alive. But from their conversations about Sara, the redhead seemed very similar to Kim and seeing was truly believing. Course she'd be lying if she wouldn't do the same with Ron.
Shego brushed her thumb over Sara's lips as if it was the old days, as with Kim before she got her own plasma powers Sara felt cooler to the touch. This reminded her that she was married to Kim and pregnant with Kim's child. This all lead her to start breathing heavily and sweat.
Without warning she pushed Sara off to the side and Kim and Sara thought that Shego had just said 'this isn't happening' but neither could tell given how quickly Shego moved.
What the two hadn't noticed when Shego ran up the stairs and into the master bedroom was that Shego raced onto the balcony and passed the grass and pool, only to use her enhanced physical enhancements to jump the ten or so feet (3 meters) to jump onto the roof of the condo and towards what Shego knew to be a false chimney stack. Course it was an actual chimney stack, but most of its interior was fake, something Shego wanted in an emergency, like for kids or something to hide her most valuable of possessions when she was away. Never had she thought that she'd ever use it for herself.
After slamming the door shut and locking the small door, she didn't bother with the light. The room was small and not large enough for even two adults to crouch in. And she didn't need the light as she began crying and didn't want to see her vision blurred because of it.
"Why now?" Shego asked softly to no one as she continued to cry as all the memories came flooding back in.
Meanwhile in the living room Kim looked back at Sara after a couple of minutes of wondering if Shego was going to return and seemed like an awkward person about to ask out their first date. Nervously avoiding direct eye contact.
Sara too seemed awkward after the realization that she kissed a married woman and merely remained on her knees as she scratched her head nervously. Kim offered a smile to Sara but didn't say anything, to which Sara offered one back.
After a couple of minutes had passed Kim slowly walked up the stairs and towards the bedroom, going through the door she looked around "Shego?" She asked softly. She proceeded to check the bathroom and closet before making it to the balcony but didn't see her. She sighed and pulled out her Kimmunicator and activated the thermal lense, with her kimmunicator pointed at the ground she could see the heat fantly radiating from the patio stone walkway and followed it before coming to a stop near the roof edge. She held up her device and saw the footsteps on the roof and jumped up and followed them to what looked like a chimney and saw the trail ended at the chimney. Shifting her kimmunicator she saw a thermal handprint and put her kimmunicator away and off again, taking a deep breath before knocking on what she assumed was a door.
"Shego?" She softly asked, with a worried tone.
Shego's eyes quickly opened at the knock on the door and she hunched forward as if she were a scared child hiding from a monster. Don't tell me thermal imaging gave me away. She thought.
Kim knocked again. "Shego?"
"Yeah?" Shego finally replied.
"You're worrying me, could you come out?"
Shego didn't reply and wiped her tears away before taking a deep breath.
Kim was about to sit down and wait before Shego opened the door, she knelt down and saw the small room and a few items that looked highly valuable. She assumed it was a secret hiding place for valuables.
Shego slowly crawled out and didn't look at Kim.
"Are… you okay?" Kim finally asked.
Shego closed her eyes and bit her lower lip. The silence was only broken by the soft thuds as Sara jumped onto the roof and also looked worried at Shego. Who looked down, despite seeing her old flame after so long.
"I don't know…" Shego finally answered, prompting Kim to hug her wife.
"How can't you be?" Sara asked, showing Kim that she had great hearing from her hearing them from the patio before jumping up to them.
"What?" Shego asked, rather menacingly that caught the two other women off guard.
"Shego…" Kim started, hoping to defuse her wife. Though this seemed out of character for her.
"What, how am I supposed to react to finding out you weren't dead?" Shego barked at Sara, breaking the hug from Kim. "I thought you were dead! I spent years wanting revenge! I spent years moarning you!" Shego said, her plasma powers beginning to flare in her hands the angrier she got to the point of them emanating heat that made even Kim cringe briefly at their intensity.
Sara in response winced each time at the three sentences that seemed to carry more rage than she thought Shego could ever send at her. Despite her black and red clothing absorbing the sunlight hitting her, she felt cold.
"Why didn't you find me or contact me?" Shego asked, finally breaking into tears. Something that caused Kim to get worried as she never saw Shego cry like this before, all the more so as it seemed that her green and black glow vanished the second tears began to flow.
"Not exactly easy when you seemed to shut yourself from the whole world!" Sara fired back. "I went to our old safehouse, and to our apartment and you weren't in either of them. I tried all our friends and they hadn't heard from you, it's as if you didn't want to be found!" Sara added, slowly starting to get tears in her own eyes now.
Shego shifted her stance to a defensive one, which threw Kim completely off guard and kept close watch over both women, hoping this little steam was all they'd shoot out.
"Then how the hell did you not noticed I was married?! Our wedding was on every major news network and wouldn't shut up about the fact that I married Kim!" Shego added, feeling something inside building up but she didn't know what it was as she was in full defensive stance.
"A bit hard to do when you have two jobs to pay to hire people to find you! I spent the last years either working or sleeping just so I could hire people to find you again!" Sara shot back, finally breaking down and the tears freely streamed down her face. "I was either in bed sleeping or working!"
Shego shuttered and let out an ungodly yell as her powers seemed to activate on their own once more, this time on her whole body, the heat causing Kim to cringe again, before Shego began shaking her fists and sending a powerful blast of plasma flying towards a mountain about 10 miles away. A few moments later all three heard the impact and Shego dissipated her powers. Fortunately for them as they all saw parts of the mountain crumble in the distance, that mountain range wasn't open to the public for several miles and thus the avalanche that started wouldn't hurt anyone.
Kim and Sara both looked in shock and awe at the avalanche as they'd never seen Shego do that at anytime when they were with her, or in Kim's case, when they fought against her.
Sara finally came too and pulled her blouse up to show her stomach and a large scar that was the size of a sword blade. "And I had to call in several favors with people to heal this up without any medical records as I didn't want Kitosha to try a second time if I had checked into a hospital..."
Kim gasped and quickly rushed to Shego and lifted her shirt to show Sara Shego's scar that was the exact same size as if hoping that this would somehow defuse the two women. Though unlike Sara's scar, Shego's was still in the process of healing and was bound to disappear in time.
Sara gasped in shock and seemed to stop being angry. "You mean…"
"Yeah…" Shego said dryly, before nuzzling against Kim's neck and shoulder.
After a few moments Shego slowly lifted her head from Kim's shoulder and looked at Sara again, noticing her boots were off as the redhead swirled her right foot around as if patiently waiting but a bit anxious.
Sara quickly noticed Shego's stare "Yeah… I remembered that rule…" Sara said with a faint hint of sass.
Kim looked and giggled. "She had that rule with you too?"
"Yeah… and I still have the scar to prove it." Sara smirked.
Kim blinked and went wide eyed.
"Oh please, it wasn't that bad." Shego sassily shot back.
"Bad? You had just gotten your powers and we had just moved into the apartment together and shot a plasma bolt at my ass to get your way." Sara countered, folding her arms unamused while glaring at Shego.
This caused Kim to blink and giggle, causing the two former girlfriends to both look at Kim with the both of them with Shego's unamused face staring at her.
That caused Kim to get a shiver up and down her spin as seeing was believing and Sara was very much similar to not only herself but also Shego and she wouldn't openly admit it, but that would have been the same response to what she had said. Course after that, it left the nagging question of where did they go from there? She was the one married to Shego, but it wouldn't be fair to kick Sara out after finding her long lost girlfriend and especially best friend. Could she even trust the two alone, or Sara specifically to try to not break Kim and Shego up?
Shego looked at Kim and could see the wheels turning inside her head and then remembered the here and now that they were in. Though she had the added thought of waiting to tell Kim she was pregnant until another day, which only added to her drowsiness.
"Where are you staying?" Shego finally asked, breaking the silence.
Sara blinked and blushed on her fair complexion. "I erm… didn't actually plan that far ahead." She admitted, offering a nervous smile whilst scratching her head.
"How did you find us, or Shego more specifically?" Kim asked, folding her arms in slight annoyance.
Sara smiled. "A very good computer hacker who didn't want payment." She stated.
Kim and Shego looked at each other and both took out their Kimmunicators and looked at Wade. "WADE!" Both said at the same time.
Wade blinked and stared at two seperate monitors and the camera that was displaying him. "Hi ladies." She said, offering his warm smile. "I take it Sara found you then?"
"You told her where we live?" They both asked.
"Not both of you, just Shego. She explained her situation and her passed friendship with Shego and even gave me her birth name, which I know Shego only gave to her closest of friends." Wade explained.
The two women looked annoyed as they couldn't poke holes in Wade's logic, except for the 'friends' part which went beyond friends into girlfriend territory. But they bite their tongues on correcting the computer genius. Instead the two hung up and Wade laughed to himself and went back to his thing and working for clients.
"I take it he gave you that information for free then?" Kim asked, clearly knowing Wade very well.
Sara nodded. "Yeah, offered his rumored fee of ten thousand dollars but he turned it down when I gave him all the information." She admitted.
"Ten thousand?... We're in the wrong business Kimmie." Shego teased.
"Can you type 250 words a minute and stay up for a week typing up software that can hack into even Global Justice's computers?" Kim shot back.
Shego went from her happy teasing face to one of defeat "Touche."
"So you have nowhere to go?" Kim asked, turning back to Sara, who shrugged.
"You can use one of the guest rooms…" Shego offered, opening herself up to Kim. That alright with you?
Yeah I suppose. Kim replied, with their connection.
Sara smiled. "Thanks." She said, starting yet another awkward silence session that broke by Shego's yawn.
"How can you be tired already?" Kim asked.
"Well there was that power flare up, not the first time she's done that… though first time she destroyed a mountain…" Sara interjected, looking over at the avalanche in the distance that was still in the process of rolling down the mountain.
Shego for her part rolled her eyes and made her way towards the edge of the roof and did a forward flip, landing perfectly square on her feet and starting to slowly walk away.
Sara and Kim looked at each other and soon followed after her, only to stop after seeing Shego petting Jewels who had rolled on her back and had Shego scratching her stomach with her black nails.
"Jewels!" Sara exclaimed. This caused the cat to look at the woman who said her name and seem to forget about Shego as she made her way towards the redhead and pressed her black furry body against Sara's leg.
"You…" Shego started to say.
"Know her name?" Kim finished.
"You don't remember Firefly, I said I had a surprise for you when you got home before Kitosha nabbed me. She was the surprise." Sara stated, squatting down to pet Jewels. "Had her for a week, she was a stray but I brought her home and showed her pictures of you so she didn't get alarmed by you arriving at our apartment."
Shego blinked and held two fingers to the brim of her nose. "That explains so much."
"What do you mean?" Sara asked.
"After you disappeared Jewels found me." Shego answered. "I called her Jewels cause we talked about if we ever got a pet we'd name her Jewels." She added.
Sara smirked before looking at Jewels and blinking as she noticed Jewels' greenish tint on her fur. "Erm... "
"Before you ask, she bite me shortly after taking her in." Shego explained. "According to Wade, she's exactly like me in Kim and based on his research, seems her favorite color is also green, for some reason." Shego said.
"Explains why she feels warmer than usual." Sara observed, petting Jewels back. "So now what?" Sara asked with a beaming smile, prompting Shego and Kim to look at each other without knowing what to do seeing as how their original plans were out the window. "You already had plans didn't you?"
"Well kind of hard to factor in thought to be dead girlfriends when you know, think they're dead." Shego responded with as much sass as Drakken and especially Kim knew her to deliver.
"Sex?" Sara asked dryly while arching an eyebrow and smirking as she folded her arms over her chest, knowing full well how Shego would respond.
That question caused both Kim and Shego to blush their pink and green perspective blushes.
"Well we are married…" Kim pointed out.
Sara growled slightly, unbeknownst to her causing both Shego and Kim to get faintly aroused by that. "Must be something if our sparring matches are anything to go by?"
"You sparred with her?" Kim asked, turning to Shego.
"What? I said you reminded me of her didn't I?!" Shego asked back, clearly on the defensive which threw Kim off.
Kim replied by letting out a groan and holding two fingers to the brim of her nose and walked back inside alone.
Shego watched her wife go inside without her and slouched her shoulders. How can I tell her I'm pregnant? She asked herself, causing her breathing to pick up slightly. We'll give this a week and then I'll tell her… she thought, making her slightly more relieved.
Shego's thoughts were interrupted as a pair of hands wrapped around her torso from behind and before she could react familiar lips kissed her neck, causing her let out a faint happy sigh as Sara kissed her neck.
"Damn I missed you." Sara said, slowly pulling away from Shego.
"And I missed you too." Shego weakly replied, she knew that was wrong, but it felt so right to her. Can I have them both? She jokingly asked herself, almost moaning at the thought of the three of them going at each other in bed, not to mention the sparring matches before sex. She lowered her head and slowly entered the condo and searched for Kim.
Sara followed behind, slowly forming a faint smirk as she followed Shego inside again.
Is anyone else surprised? No?... We'll you're all smart and picked up on chapter titles :D Anywho, I'm still hazy on where I want to take all three of them though I do have a couple ideas but thoughts and input is always a nice thing! :D
