Stoick stood in shock that Hiccup returned from his disappearance and ask "are you staying or visiting?"

Hiccup smiles "just visiting, I had a feeling that something was going to happen to Berk, but the only problem is I don't know what that something is."

Stoick sighs "it's been almost two years since you left on your dragon."

Hiccup sighs "I couldn't face these villagers after I found out your plan because it would only prove that you didn't want me when I was a baby."

Stoick sighs "there was a clause in the contract that if you prove that you can handle being Chief by the time you turn twenty years old, your reinstated as the heir again and future chief of Berk."

Hiccup curious ask "and who wrote that clause in the contract?"

Stoick smiles "your godparents, Alistair and Ingrid Hofferson."

Sophie gaped "Hiccup, if you had godparents here that cared for you, why didn't you stay with- wait, Hofferson? As in Astrid's parents?!"

Hiccup sighs closing his eyes "yes, they are my godparents, because of my mom's will, that if something happens to my parents, I stay with them, but after being treated like nothing by their daughter, I felt scared to tell them how their daughter is acting from fear of getting killed by her."

Stoick ask "uh, Hiccup, who is this girl next to- wait did you say girlfriend, soon to be fiance?"

Sophie smiles "yep, as soon as he puts a ring on my finger."

Villagers stared in shock that Hiccup and his girlfriend were thinking about getting married as soon as Hiccup placed a ring on the girl's finger.

Stoick ask "where did you two meet each other?"

Sophie smiles "he landed on my village island in the forest and I found him sleeping next to his Nightfury and brought him to our healer and then he talked about his life on this island and since then he's been staying with me in my house."

Hiccup blushes at what that implied before Stoick looks at his son and sternly ask "Hiccup, you know that boys and girls that are dating each other aren't allowed to be living in the same house unless they are married."

Sophie giggles "oh boy, you think we are sleeping in the same bed? That is so funny!"

Stoick sternly ask "and why would that be funny little girl?"

Sophie smiles "your son is more modest than you think and he's been staying in my guest room. Plus we didn't start dating until two weeks after he been staying in my house because he was afraid of being in relationship with any girl in the village. I was the one who ask him out on a lunch date because I had a crush on him."

Stoick sighs "but he knows that teenage boys and girls are not to be trusted alone together if they're dating because of hormone to want to make love to each other!"

Hiccup sighs "I've been scared to even lay in the same bed with her or come into her room at night to talk about what might be bothering me and we been dating for almost two years now without even talking about making love."

Everyone gasped in shock that Hiccup and his girlfriend been dating for almost two years and never talked about making love to each other.

Snotlout smirks loudly "I knew Hiccup wouldn't be able to get a girl in bed, because he's too much of a girl to ask a girl to sleep with him! He's totally useless and could never please a girl in bed! It's know wonder why Astrid would divorce him after the wedding and marry Thuggory because every girl says he's more handsome than Hiccup the useless!"

Villagers that liked Snotlout started laughing at Hiccup.

Sophie gasped at the villagers laughing at her boyfriend because he respects girls more than any boy she met.

Hiccup put on his hood and silently walked out of the hall to be alone, because everyone thinks he's worse in bed.

Sophie turned to the boy called Snotlout and scowls "Thuggory is nothing but a lying sexist pig and I should feel sorry for Astrid wanting to marry him because he asked me to sleep with him at thirteen years old and when I told him no, he lied to my parents saying that I wanted to sleep with him because I had a crush on him and they disowned me."

Everyone gasped at the girl being disowned at thirteen by her parents because of a lie.

Sophie continues "and before I met Hiccup, I was treated the same way he was here after that lie and Hiccup brought me two best girlfriends that will be my bridesmaids for my wedding!"

Astrid ask "Thuggory tried to get you to sleep with him at thirteen years old?"

Sophie scowls "not every boy should be judged by their looks or born a damn hiccup! Without even getting to know what kind of person Hiccup is and I would like to say that he is more of a gentleman than a any boy on this island!"

Tuffnut laughs "if he was more of a gentleman, then why isn't he standing by your side?"

Sophie gasped looking around the Hall for Hiccup and gumbles "great! Now I have to figure out how to get back to his secret Cove to comfort him after that ass head."

Stoick curious ask "what do you mean by comforting him?"

Sophie sighs "he suffered severe depression, Stoick, from your damn village and I been working with him on recovery from depression so that he isn't scared of being around villagers. Sometimes I would find him next Toothless feeling sad about how you all treated him like an outcast and he would ask me if I was going to make him leave."

Stoick gaped at that revelation and ask "how do you get rid of the depression?"

Sophie sighs "I basically have to hug him and rub his back telling him that I'm not leaving him and I'm not making him leave either."

Snotlout smirks "so in other words, you act like his mother? Hiccup is so much of a baby it's know wonder that nobody wanted to hangout with him and babysit him."

Sophie scowls "how about you face the villagers alone and believe that both of your parents died and no one wanted anything to do with you, ass head!"

Stoick gaped "Hiccup thought I died with his mother?"

Sophie sighs "you never wanted to be in his life after he was three years old because Ruffnut and Tuffnut were destroying the village and you all blaming him for it, especially his horrible ex-fiance, Astrid Hofferson!"

Astrid sighs "he told you everything about us."

Sophie sighs "the first night, he stayed with me because I told him about myself and he opened up about why he ran away from here and seeing how you all reacted about him not asking me to sleep with him after a year of dating just shows what kind of people you all are!"

Stoick sighs "so where would Hiccup go if he was upset?"

Sophie sighs "the only place that comforts him when he feels sad, but it's too dark to walk to the secret Cove alone. So he would go to the Forge and draw sketches of things that make him smile."

Stoick sighs "so you both never snuggle in the same bed together?"

Sophie sighs "no because of us not being married and him being scared that I would have him beat up for cuddling with me."

She turns to Astrid Hofferson and says "you did a good number on him and I should feel sorry for you thinking that Thuggory is a better guy than Hiccup, but when I feel like crap on any day, he makes meal for us to eat and when he's at work, he ask Sarah or Britney to come keep me company until noon when he gets off work."

Astrid ask in surprise "Hiccup takes care of you when you don't feel well?"

Sophie smirks "you would know what kind of a boy Hiccup is, if you spend time with him to see what kind of boyfriend he would turn out to be."

Astrid bows her head in shame "how do I get him back?"

Sophie sighs "I don't know if you could win him back, because he was abandoned as a baby and his own father even said that if it came between Hiccup and the villagers, he would choose the villagers over his own son."

Astrid gasped "who told him that, because I was never told that?"

Sophie sighs "Stoick told him that, the night Valka was taken to the Dragon Sanctuary just north of here. He had a crush on you, Astrid. When you were engaged to him, he thought you would have gave him a chance and you proved that you wanted him gone as well like everyone else."

Astrid sighs "I'm dishonor from getting married and my parents won't let me marry anyone except Hiccup because I owe him myself for telling Thuggory that I was going to divorce Hiccup."

Sophie sighs "the only way to win Hiccup back is to discover that you truly madly love him and that level of love is realizing that he is your soulmate that you can't live without."

Astrid smiles "there is a way to win his hand in marriage."

Sophie ask "and what would that be?"

Astrid smiles brightly "I challenged you to a duel, winner wins Hiccup's hand in marriage!"

Then a stern voice says "that doesn't prove that you love someone when you've been dishonored by public view."

Everyone turned to the door to see Hiccup standing there with a straight face.

Sophie ask "are you feeling better, babe?"

Hiccup smiles "yes and do you remember what your bridesmaids expect from us?"

Sophie blushes "yes, they expect us to snuggle together or they will be wondering if there is something keeping us apart."

Hiccup walks over to her and says "Astrid, you need to learn to love someone before marriage instead of sounding desperate to rehonor yourself and the first step is being a friend and accept me marrying Sophie and having a life with her. Can you do that for me?"

Astrid's eyes start watering, but nods her head.

Hiccup smiles and gives her a hug "thank you, Astrid. Maybe in the future, we might find ourselves getting back together. I don't know what will happen in my future."

Astrid smiles "then I'll just keep hoping that I would get a second chance to show you that I could learn to love you for who you are."

Hiccup releases his hug and turns to Sophie who is looking at him with smirk and ask "what?"

Sophie smiles "what do you mean, marry me, when you haven't even proposed to me yet?"

Hiccup smiles getting on one knee and pulls out a ring from his pocket and says "Sophie Page Hilson, I know we been dating for almost two years now and I'm still in recovery from my past and you been helping me through it and I'm ready for us to take the next step in our relationship, so with that being said, would you do me the honor of becoming my wife and marrying me?"

Sophie gaped at him proposing to her unexpected and yells "yes. Yes! Yes!"

Hiccup slides the ring on her finger and kisses her lips.

Everyone cheers to the newly engaged couple.

Stoick curious ask "Hiccup, how do you plan on marrying her, if you don't have a marriage contract between you two?"

Hiccup sighs "a marriage contract won't work between us, dad, because her parents disowned her over a lie and had the villagers build her a house to herself. So I doubt that they would sign a marriage contract for me to marry their daughter."

Stoick stares at them trying to think of a counter, but couldn't find one. So he ask "with you being the ex-heir to Berk, you would have to perform a public consummation to your wife in front of everyone to make sure she has your child."

Hiccup froze up to public consummation and Sophie ask "uh Hiccup, your village still does that public consummation crap to embarrass the heir and his new wife?"

Hiccup nervously replies "they still do that, doesn't mean I'm going to go through with it just to satisfy a village full of Viking."

Stoick scowls "Hiccup, it's tradition for the heir or Chief to bed their new spouse to prove that their child is the next heir to the village."

Hiccup turns to his dad and ask "why would you make a law like that just to prove that your child is your blood child when all you have to do is for they to conceive your child and have it born with your features to prove that it's your heir?!"

Stoick sighs "incase the heir or spouse decides to sleep with someone else and have their child with that person."

Hiccup sighs "unbelievable with this village! I'm glad I left this village, so I wouldn't have to go through that with my wife. Does every tribe do that?"

Stoick sighs "only a few that I been to, due to the married couple runaway to consummate their marriage in private."

Sophie smiles "Hiccup? Would you put your wife through that?"
