Hiccup The Dragon Rider

Stoick gets fend up with Hiccup and engaged him to Astrid at fourteen. They have to wait a year before they can get married. He's scared to screw up with her and she's furious with the situation. In that time she has him beat up. When he breaks completely and runs away with his dragon, she has to find him and convince him to marry her in order to win her parent's acceptance.

13. Sophie Becomes Sick

Hiccup and Sophie were getting comfortable with being new proud parents to their daughter Hope Astra Haddock.

Hiccup smiles thinking about his life, meeting Sophie after running away and falling in love with her and have a daughter together.

He sighs thinking about a person named D Bloodvist and whispers "who is this Bloodvist guy that wants you, Toothless, anyway?"

Toothless claws in the dirt 'I don't know, never heard of him.'

Hiccup finished repairing a sword and left the Forge to have lunch with his family.

He walked in to see his wife, Sophie feeding their daughter Hope and says "hey dear, I decided to take a break from work and come here to have lunch with you before going back to work in the Forge."

Sophie smiles "can you feed Hope and I'll make you fish for lunch?"

Hiccup smiles "no problem, dear."

Sophie smiles "your so sweet, caring and nice to me, Hiccup."

Hiccup sighs "no one ever told me how to treat a girl."

Sophie sighs "and that's their fault that they never wanted to take the time to get to know you personally."

Hiccup sighs "I felt nothing but depression and loneliness there."

Sophie smiles "and I will always have your back, my husband."

Hiccup sighs "I wonder who this D Bloodvist guy is and why he's desperate to have our dragons for?"

Sophie sighs "who is he?"

Hiccup sighs "all I know is that he's the boss of the dragon hunters and will threaten anyone who tells him no."

Sophie smirks "he would be crazy to threaten us."

Hiccup smiles "I love you so much, Sophie."

They eat lunch while Hope sleeps."

Afterwards, he kisses his wife goodbye and kisses Hope on the forehead and leaves to go back to work in the Forge.

While Hiccup was at the Forge, the same guy that tried to buy Toothless and Storm enters his house and knocks Sophie unconscious before pouring a bottle of poison and the only cure is with an extremely rare flower that was lost from Viking ages. "I hope Hiccup will learn his lesson now, you don't tell Drago Bludvist no."

Storm hissed at the man that attacked her rider and attacked him. The man ran dodging the spine shots and disappeared over a cliff.

Storm flew to the Forge to get Hiccup and chirps loud to get his attention.

Hiccup stops working on a sword to see Storm chirping like crazy and follows her back home to see Sophie on the ground unconscious and yells "SOPHIE!"

He runs her over to Bethany's house. She ask "what happened to her?"

Hiccup panics "I don't know what happened to her, but I think she was attacked after I left."

Bethany smiles "go take care of Hope, Hiccup and I'll check out Sophie."

Hiccup leaves Bethany's Hut and walks home. He opens the door to hear Hope crying and runs into the livingroom to take care of Hope. He makes a bottle for her and begins feeding her.

Hope starts sucking on the bottle and stops crying.

Hiccup smiles "there, there, my little Hope, daddy's here to feed you."

(With Bethany)

Bethany ran test on Sophie after taking care of her injury head. Soon Sophie regains consciousness rubbing her head "what happened to me?"

Bethany sighs "you were attacked dear and your husband, Hiccup found you on the floor unconscious."

Sophie sighs "some guy knocked me out and before I passed out he said Hiccup will agree to submit to Drago Bludvist."

Bethany sighs "I ran a test on you, but won't know happened to you completely for now."

Sophie sighs "I think Hiccup will be furious that Drago Bludvist decided to attack me."

Bethany sighs "this Drago Bludvist guy seems dangerous to attack you."

Sophie sighs "he wants our dragons and Hiccup told him no."

Bethany sighs "well Hiccup will make him pay for attacking you."

Sophie sighs "can I leave now?"

Bethany smiles "yes, of course, but I want a check up in a week to how your head injury clears up."

Sophie leaves Bethany's Hut and heads home.

(At Hiccup and Sophie's house)

Hiccup finished changing Hope's diaper and begins singing a song to Hope:

When I started dating you, I never thought you would be

Then I found out I was going to have a baby.

As days turn into years, I watch you grow and I just wish you would stay little.

So I can enjoy your childhood a little longer.

All those memories go by fast,

soon your growing up yourself and finding love yourself

The only thing that crosses my mind is remembering that you were my baby.

No matter how many times you hurt yourself,

Seeing you stand at the altar with your love,

Starting your married life with your first love,

I wipe my eyes remembering the time, you were my little baby.

Soon you come by your old home to tell me your having a baby of your own.

I smile happy at the moment of you having your own baby remembering that you were once my baby.

Hiccup looks down at Hope sleeping in his arms and whispers softly "thank you, Ingrid for teaching me that song."

Sophie smiles "that was a beautiful song."

Hiccup turns to Sophie and smiles "your awake, I was scared that I lost you."

Sophie nods her head "I'm fine, but I think I know who attacked me."

Hiccup sighs "who attacked you?"

Sophie sighs "the guy who tried to buy Toothless and Storm off you, but he works for a man named Drago Bludvist."

Hiccup sighs "Drago Bludvist? Never heard of him."

Sophie sighs "neither have I."

Hiccup and Sophie went to bed after eating dinner and laying Hope down.

Next morning, Sophie woke up coughing and running a fever. Hiccup took her to Bethany's hut to see what is wrong with her.

Bethany looks through her book of viruses. Bethany sighs "besides the fever and coughing, I can only say it's the flu until more symptoms appear."

Hiccup sighs "that guy must have poured some type of poison down your throat after knock you unconscious."

Bethany sighs "I'll give her something for the flu."

After they leave Bethany's Hut, they head back home to take care of Hope.

Hiccup decided to stop at the Forge, he looks at the list of orders to see only three there and decides to write a letter to Astrid to tell her that Sophie came down with the flu possibly.

He leaves the Forge and heads home to take care of Sophie.

When he walks in the door, Sophie was coughing a little and decides "dear, maybe you should go lay down for a nap and I'll take care of Hope?"

Sophie sighs "maybe your right."

She walks upstairs and takes a nap.

Hiccup takes Hope outside so that Sophie can sleep in peace.

Toothless croons in wondering what is wrong with his rider.

Hiccup sighs "I don't know what I would do if I lost Sophie."

Toothless writes in the dirt 'we go back to Berk, so you uphold your promise to give Astrid another chance in having a relationship with her.'

Hiccup sighs "I'm still scared of Astrid, because if I were to start a relationship with her, I fear that she would dump me for another guy that she would think is better than me and turns out that he wasn't and then I would feel depressed all over again."

Toothless croons and nuzzles him. Unknown to them Sophie eavesdropped on their conversation before walking upstairs to take a nap "looks like I'm going to have to write a letter to Astrid to inform her that Hiccup is afraid of starting a relationship with her."

She climbs into bed and closes her eyes.

Hope woke up and coo at the voice. Hiccup coos "oh, look who just woke up again, would you like to take a ride to see grandma?"

Hope coos and smiles brightly clapping her hands.

Hiccup climbs onto Toothless while holding Hope and the two fly off North towards the Dragon Sanctuary to see Valka.

While they left, Sophie woke up coughing and then went downstairs to write a letter to Astrid as her Will.

When she is done, she puts it her pocket and coughs again. Soon she vomits and heads to Bethany's hut for medicine for her headache.

Bethany was drinking tea when Sophie walked in looking more sick and ask her "not getting any better?"

Sophie shakes her head "no, unfortunately and I just Vomited after writing a letter to Astrid for Hope's sake."

Bethany sighs "well your test came back that you were poisoned with something that is new to me."

Sophie ask "what is it?"

Bethany sighs "a poison that was found in the book of viruses and the only cure for it was lost to Viking ages because the flower disappeared over three hundred years ago and the only clue to its location was 'home to night island'."

Sophie sighs "so the cure was lost to Vikings for hundred of years? What happens to me then, if we don't find the cure?"

Bethany bows her head "you get to see Odin."

Sophie gasped at the revelation and turns to the door and whispers "Hiccup and Hope, they will be so broken after this."

Bethany sighs "I don't know what 'Home to the island of night' means."

Sophie sighs "it could mean anything."

Bethany sighs "and this rune symbol that is a unknown to me."

Sophie looks at it and says "maybe Hiccup would know what it means."

Bethany sighs "that's the problem you only have seven days to get the cure or you go see Odin."

Sophie sighs "is there any way to slow down the virus?"

Bethany shakes her head "I'm afraid not, the virus is called Poison of Death and the cure is a flower that used to grow on an island, home to Night animals."

Sophie sighs "great, that could mean any animals that live in night."

Sophie left Bethany's Hut and decided to visit Sarah and Britney and tell them the sad news about herself.

Night time came and soon, Hiccup and Hope returned from visiting Dragon Sanctuary.

Hiccup walked inside the house carrying Hope in his arms to see Sophie laying down on the couch sleeping and decides to feed Hope in the kitchen.

An hour later, Sophie wakes up coughing feeling terrible.

Hiccup walked into the livingroom while feeding Hope a bottle and ask "still feeling sick?"

Sophie sighs "worst, Bethany said that the cure was lost to Viking ages for over a hundred years and last location was the home to the night animals and this rune symbol."

Hiccup looks at the symbol and says "uh are you sure about this symbol?"

Sophie sighs "yes! Hiccup, why?"

Hiccup sighs "because that rune symbol stands for Nightfury, and that means that we are in trouble because they were lost to the world and Toothless is the only Nightfury around."
