Astrid waited for Gobber to return with Stoick.

Soon Spitelout came with his son and a village council member and ask "what are you doing here?"

The council member sighs "I'm here to announce that you would not be eligible for marriage contract with any guy on this island or visiting men!"

Astrid gaped "on what grounds?!"

The council member sternly replies "being caught sleeping with a man and not married to said man."

Stoick and Gobber returned with elder Gothi and ask "what is going on here?"

Astrid scowls dumb shit over here caught me sleeping in the same bed with unconscious Hiccup and told his stupid father and this council member about it and now say that I'm not eligible for marriage to any guy on grounds that I lost my purity!"

Gobber walked over to Snotlout and slapped him upside the head. Gothi wracked Spitelout with her stick and drew in the dirt 'Astrid is eligible for marriage to any guy because she can't lose her purity if the guy is in a coma'.

Stoick scowls "Spitelout, you better take your idiot son and council member and leave the Hut before I lose control of my anger and beat you three up and don't come back until Hiccup wakes up."

Snotlout gaped "not without my fiance."

"If you don't leave you'll be talking to my Nightfury!"

Everyone turned to the bed to see Hiccup awake and gasped.

Hiccup looks back at Astrid and says "just tell Toothless I said to protlect you from danger" and collapse back into a coma.

Snotlout smirks "really think a Nightfury would stop me?"

Gobber gasped "uh Snotlout, have you gone mad to challenge a Nightfury?!"

Astrid yells "TOOTHLESS!"

Soon a Nightfury sticks it's head in the door of the Hut.

Astrid whines that bad man won't leave me alone and Hiccup said for you to protect me at all times until Hiccup wakes up from his coma."

Toothless claws in the dirt 'leave Astrid alone or your dad can bury his only son'.

Spitelout scowls "you going to let that Nightfury threaten my son, Stoick?!"

Alistair scowls "if I was you, I would leave the Hut before you two dip your asses in water."

Spitelout ask "what?"

Toothless shot two fire balls at Snotlout and Spitelout sending them running out the Hut.

Astrid ask "what are you doing here, dad?"

Alistair smiles "I thought you were coming home to have breakfast with us and see Hope?"

Astrid smiles "I would love to see my step-daughter."

Stoick and Alistair gaped wideeye at her. Alistair said "daughter, Hope isn't your step-daughter, because you aren't married to Hiccup."

Astrid blushes "I need to start getting used to the title of being her stepmom and according to this letter from Hiccup's late wife, Sophie appointed me to be Hope Astra Haddock's stepmother."

Alistair grabs the letter and reads it word for word and gaped "are you sure your up for this taking care of a baby by yourself?"

Astrid sighs "honestly, I have no clue on raising a baby, but I never back down from a challenge."

Gothi grabs the letter to read and nods in approval and writes in dirt 'Stoick announces tonight that Hiccup's late wife left Hope Astra Haddock in the care of Astrid Hofferson as adopted daughter."

Stoick sighs "I don't think the villagers would accept that unless you Hiccup agrees to marry you in the future."

Astrid sighs "Stoick, I'm going to marry him in the future after I won his love."

Stoick sighs "no, I mean you have to be engaged to Hiccup in order to gain custody over Hope."

Alistair gaped at him in shock and turns to his daughter who nods her head yes.

Alistair and Astrid walk home with Toothless.

When they walk inside Astrid ask "mom, where is my new daughter?"

Ingrid ask "daughter?"

Astrid blushes "yeah, apparently Sophie Haddock appointed me as Hope's new mother."

Ingrid curious ask "where is Sophie anyway?"

Astrid sighs "I think the only one who can answer that question is Toothless."

Alistair ask "why would Toothless know what happened to Sophie?"

Astrid sighs "because if I know Hiccup, he would have had Toothless protect Sophie from danger."

Ingrid smiles "she's in the livingroom sleeping in your old crib."

Astrid walks into the livingroom to see Hope sleeping in her old crib and whispers "my new daughter and she looks beautiful."

She watches Hope sleep when she hears a loud voice from outside "ASTRID HOFFERSON, GET OUT HERE, BECAUSE I'M NOT FINISHED WITH YOU!"

Astrid sighs "oh I'm not dealing with this right now."

Alistair and Ingrid ask "do you want us to deal with him, daughter?"

Astrid sighs "no, mom and dad. I'll deal with him."

She walks outside the door to see Snotlout standing there scowling and says "if you wake up my daughter from her sleep, I'll send my Nightfury after you. Now leave me alone!"

Snotlout gaped "d-daughter?"

Astrid smiles "yes, my daughter that I apparently got choosen to care for. Now leave me alone."

Snotlout scowls "I'm not allowing you to take care of someone else's daughter when you're mine to have children with and you are going to bare my children. So you better get rid of that child or I'll get rid of it myself!"

The villagers looked at Snotlout like he just pissed in Thor's mug like an idiot.

Alistair scowls "Snotlout, you have one to leave before I call Toothless on you."

Snotlout scowls "I'm not leaving until Astrid agrees to getting rid of the baby and bares my babies!"

Astrid sighs and walks away to go check on Hope to hear her whimpering and picks her up "it's okay, Hope, it was just an idiot outside. Mommy's here to take care of you."

Hope tilts her head in confusion "ma?"

Astrid sighs "Hope, your mom asked me to be your new mother."

Hope ask "da?"

Astrid ask "you want daddy?"

Hope nods her head yes.

Astrid takes Hope outside to see Hiccup after changing her diaper.

Snotlout scowls "you better have gotten rid of that baby by tomorrow or I will do it!"

Astrid scowls "you touch my daughter and your dad will be burying you after I kill you."

Ingrid scowls "Snotlout Jorgenson! If you even touch my granddaughter, you better just leave Berk and hope Hiccup decides not to kill you with his Nightfury!"

Snotlout gaped "your taking care of useless's baby?!"

Astrid smiles "yes! And I think I'll be happy raising her!"

Snotlout loses it and charge at them knocking them over causing Hope to cry loudly and screaming.

Before Astrid or her parents could react, Toothless grabbed Snotlout with his paws and flew him up and towards a house before letting go sending him through the wall of a house.

Toothless flies back over to Hope croons softly to her in humming tune. Astrid panics "it's okay mommy's dragon took care of him, Hope. Let's go get you check out."

Spitelout watch his son attack Astrid and Hope and stood there in shock.

Alistair walked up to him and says "I will never let your son marry my daughter. Ever! And you better start writing apologies papers to Hiccup and giving him money so he doesn't kill Snotlout for this!"

Spitelout walks away in embarrassment because of his son.

(Inside Gothi's Hut)

Astrid lays Hope down between Hiccup's arm and lays her head on his chest.

Hope coos "da."

Hiccup wakes up from his coma and moans from the pain.

Astrid gaped "Hiccup?"

Hiccup moans "Astrid?"

Astrid smiles "easy honey, you been stabbed in the shoulder and lost a lot of blood."

Hope coos "da!"

Hiccup moans "Hope?" "I'm on Berk?"

Astrid smiles "Toothless brought you here after you were stabbed in the shoulder."

Hiccup sighs "where's Sophie?"

Astrid sighs "I'm sorry, Hiccup, but I don't know where Sophie is. Maybe Toothless knows where Sophie is" And calls Toothless to come.

Hiccup notice scrape marks on her and looks at Hope to see a couple of bruises on her and ask "what happened to Hope?!"

Astrid sighs "Snotlout attacked me while I was carrying Hope."

Hiccup sternly replies "you tell him that when I'm fully healed, I'm going to kick his ass so bad that he won't wake up for a week or more."

Astrid nervously says "well Toothless flew him into a house."

Hiccup ask "was Hope screaming and crying?"

Astrid nods her head "yes, why?"

Hiccup sighs "she was calling Toothless for help."

She ask "what do you mean by that?"

Hiccup smiles "everytime she cries, Toothless would check on her to see why she is screaming. That's why I sent Toothless to look after you and her."

Astrid nervously states "so, I'm Hope's new mom. I didn't see that coming."

Hiccup ask "wait, where did that come from?"

Astrid pulls out a paper and says "from your wife and if it gives me a chance to redeem myself to you, I would be happy to be Hope's new mom."

Hiccup sighs "so tell me about Snotlout, since he has an ass whopping coming after I'm cleared to fight him for putting hands on my daughter."

Astrid sighs "it started the day after Hope was born. He started telling every boy on Berk that I was his fiance and dared any guy to challenge him for my hand in marriage. He would use tricks such as throw dirt in their eyes and then hit them hard in the head knocking them out cold."

Hiccup sighs "sounds like he's obsessive about you."

Astrid whines "no, he's psycho obsessed with me. He told guys from visiting tribes, that I'm his fiance and I told them that I was off limits to any of them when they talked about having a relationship with me. I told them that I hurt a good fiance and can't marry any other guy because I'm still engaged to you."

Hiccup gaped "you told them that your engaged to me?"

She nods her head "yes, because I can't get over what I did to you and you impress me with training Toothless and Sharpshot and realized that you training a Nightfury is bravest thing you could do."

Hiccup sighs "but I tore up the contract between us."

Astrid blushes "well I told the village that after you left with Sophie, that we snuggle together and that I would like for us to have a relationship in the future and I handed your father my shield to claim you as my fiancee and I get to pick when we get married."

Hiccup sighs "let's work on being bestfriends first."

Astrid blushes "and I owe you this" and punches his right shoulder "that's for ripping our marriage contract and this is to say I'm sorry" kissing him on the lips.

Hope coos "ma" "da" "kis" "fam."

Astrid and Hiccup break the kiss to look at their daughter clapping happy.

Hiccup sighs "so, Sophie wrote you a letter? I didn't really get to read it."

Astrid smiles and hands him the letter "Sharpshot gave me it."

Hiccup reads the letter his wife wrote to Astrid.

After reading the letter, he sighs "I didn't know she wanted you to help me raise my daughter."

Astrid smiles "our daughter, I want to help raise Hope, Hiccup."

Hiccup sighs nervously about Astrid being a part of Hope's life.

Astrid sense he was nervous about something and ask "what is it, Hiccup?"

Hiccup sighs "I'm scared that you would hurt me again if we got engaged."

Astrid closes her eyes "I'm sorry that I put that fear in you, Hiccup. To prove myself to you, I won't leave your side over anything that we face together" and holds his hand in hers.

She leaves the room to go get Hiccup breakfast.

While she was gone, Toothless came inside the hut to check on him.

Hiccup ask "Toothless, what happened to Gaul?"

Toothless croons and claws in the dirt 'Drago Bludvist destroyed it completely and killed Sophie. I'm sorry, Hiccup. When you heal fully, would you like to go back there to bury her?'

Hiccup nods his head "yes, Toothless, that would be good for her."
