Hiccup laid on the bed with Hope sleeping in his arm while softly crying. Astrid returned with two plates of eggs and wild hog bacon to see Hiccup crying softly and sets the plates down and walks over to him and rest his head on her chest and asks "what's wrong, Hiccup?"

Hiccup sighs "Drago Bludvist destroyed Gaul. All the villagers, my cousin Luke Jorgenson, Louis, Sarah and Britney, even Sophie! He destroyed the village that welcome me and Toothless."

Astrid sighs and pats his back to comfort him.

Stoick walks in the room to see Astrid rubbing Hiccup's back while Hope is sleeping in his arms and ask "is there something wrong?"

Astrid turns to Stoick and says "Drago Bludvist destroyed an entire village called Gaul and he killed Hiccup's wife, Sophie."

Stoick turned white with fear "Drago Bludvist returned?"

Hiccup looks at his dad and ask "you know this Drago Bludvist guy?"

Stoick sighs "it was before you were born, son.

I went to a Tribe Gathering to discuss about how to stop the dragon raids when a man named Drago Bludvist came to tell us that he could stop the dragon raids through fear and we all laughed at him thinking he was crazy. After he left, the building we were meeting in was destroyed with me inside. After I escaped it, he disappeared from the world."

Hiccup sighs "he said he needed Toothless and Storm for a dragon army but I told him no."

Stoick gaped "dragon army?"

Hiccup sighs "yes, I just don't know why he would want Toothless for his dragon army."

Astrid smiles "well Toothless is the exclusive dragon that could possibly lead dragons and the other dragons don't even try to challenge him."

Hiccup sighs "all I know is that after my shoulder wound is healed, I think I'll go find the nest for you all and see how big of a problem, you'll facing."

Hope wakes up whimpering. Astrid smiles "oh look at who just woke up from their nap."

Hope starts whining softly. Hiccup sighs "it's her feeding time again."

Astrid gaped and went to her diaper bag and pulled out a bottle and gently picks up Hope and begins feeding her a bottle.

Hope spits the bottle out and whines again. Hiccup sighs "she only drinks the bottle if you sing her 'you'll always be my baby'."

Stoick gaped "you sing that song to your daughter, Hiccup?"

Hiccup smiles "yes, ever since Hope was born. Ingrid taught me that song."

Astrid gaped "my mom taught you a song?"

Hiccup smiles "she sung it to both of us, when we were babies."

Stoick smiles "so this little girl is my granddaughter?"

Astrid smiles "yep, this is your little granddaughter."

She looks at Hiccup and says "mom never taught me that song!"

Hiccup sighs "I figured you would have learned it from her after getting engaged to me three years ago."

Astrid ask in shock "why would my mother teach me a baby song?!"

Hiccup looks down nervously not answering and says never mind it's a stupid question with getting married. I'll sing her the song while you feed Hope."

Astrid scowls "no! Tell me why my mom would teach me a baby song now!"

Hiccup sighs "drop it, just like I did all those years ago."

Astrid scowls "no Hiccup, tell me now!"

Hiccup sighs "it never would matter anyway, because you pushed me away and I decided to throw away the little hope I had on Berk for a good life off Berk with a good wife and had a beautiful daughter with her."

Astrid sighs "what does that have to do with-" her eyes widened in realization "if we got married and you being heir to Berk, would mean that you would have to produce a heir to Berk."

Hiccup closes his eyes and says "doesn't matter anymore because I ran away to find a better life with Toothless as my protector, met Sophie, married her and had a beautiful daughter with her and nothing will ever make me happy with having Hope."

Astrid gaped "you thought just because I didn't want to be around you until our wedding day, I wouldn't go through the entire wedding process of sleeping with you?!"

Hope whimpers at Astrid's tone of anger and whines "da!"

Hiccup comforts Hope while Astrid scowls at him.

Stoick sighs "uh...Astrid, maybe you should leave to go calm down for a while?"

Astrid turns to Stoick and says "you keep out of this!" And turns back to Hiccup and says "I would have still went through the whole wedding process with you, no matter how much I hated it but I would have looked forward to running Berk as Chieftess!"

Hiccup sighs "and this is why I called off the Engagement because you didn't want to marry me, you wanted to be Chieftess and I didn't matter to you."

Astrid gaped in shock at what Hiccup said and how true it was and how little she thought of him in the marriage. She sighs "I'm sorry, Hiccup."

Hiccup sighs "we never would have worked together anyway because you thought that your trouble making friends were better than me and let them blame me for everything and I felt like I was better off living with dragons than living with all of you."

Astrid sighs and tries to get Hope so she can feed her, but Hope shakes her head at her and whines "scair."

Astrid sighs and takes her plate and leaves "fine, I'll go."

She leaves them in the Hut.

Stoick nervously ask "can I try feeding her?"

Hiccup sighs "you can try and feed her, but you have to sing the baby song to her."

Stoick curious ask "why do you have to sing that particular song to her for?"

Hiccup smiles "it lets her know that I love her and will always be there for her."

(With Astrid)

She walks inside her house and sets her plate down and screams "AHHHHHH!"

Ingrid walks downstairs and asks "what happened to make you so angry?"

Astrid frustrated says "Hiccup thought that since I didn't want to see him until our wedding day, that I wouldn't want to go through the whole wedding ceremony and have a baby and that I was only interested in running Berk as Chieftess and he wouldn't matter to me after the wedding and I scared Hope, demanding that Hiccup tell me why you didn't teach me that baby song that you sung to us when we were babies!"

Ingrid scowls "Astrid Finn Hofferson! Do you ever realize that he's scared to hurt you in anyway, because of how this village treated him! And you didn't treat him like fiance should!"

Astrid bows her head in shame "he said that was the reason why he called off the Engagement, because I didn't care what happened to him."

Ingrid sighs "honestly, Astrid, if you can't talk to him like a scared dragon, then how could you marry him and not expect him to runaway from your anger thinking that you would beat him up for stupid things because you built that fear inside him. Bringing up having a baby with you, you would have beat him up for even touching you!"

Astrid sighs "I never gave him a chance at being in a relationship with me."

Alistair walks in the house to see his daughter upset and ask "what happened now?"

Ingrid sighs "our daughter lost her anger in talking to Hiccup who was scared to bring up that when they got married, they would have to produce a heir to Berk!"

Alistair sighs "Astrid, why don't you go apologize to them?"

Astrid sighs "because I can't be his girlfriend or his wife if I get angry very easily."

Ingrid curious ask "are you still upset with him calling off the Engagement?"

Astrid shakes her head "no, I'm upset that he assumed that because I didn't want to see him until our wedding day, that I didn't want to have a baby with him."

Alistair sighs "but he called it off because you told Thuggory that you would marry him after divorcing Hiccup."

Astrid sighs "yes and I didn't treat him like a fiance and now I realized, I gave him the impression that I didn't want to have a baby with him three years ago."

Ingrid smirks "so, what are going to do about it?"

Astrid smiles "show him that I want to be with him and Hope."

She walks back to Gothi's Hut to hear Stoick and Hiccup talk.

(Inside Gothi's Hut)

Stoick smiles "I didn't know mom gave up a baby girl for adoption before we were born."

Hiccup smiles "yeah, and I had another cousin named Luke Jorgenson."

Stoick sighs "so, Astrid is going to be Hope's new mother?"

Hiccup sighs "I don't know if I want that because of how she reacts to things that I feel uncomfortable talking to her about."

Stoick sighs "son, you gotta stop being scared of talking about things that come with marriage."

Hiccup scowls "you don't understand how long I was scared from being abandoned here. No one to talk to about your depression because of that tradition of treating hiccups like outcasts until they kill their first dragon."

Stoick sighs "I'm sorry, son."

Hiccup sighs "I don't think I can handle being around Astrid, because of how angry she gets. Sophie always ask me if something was bothering me and she felt like I could talk to her about anything without her getting angry about it."

Stoick smiles "sounds like she acted like a mother to you."

Hiccup smiles "yes, at times, she did when I felt sad about my past of living here on Berk."

Stoick sighs "you had a hard life here on Berk."

Hiccup nods his head "yes, which is why after I solve your dragon problem, I think I might have to find a new home for me and Hope."

"YOU ARE NOT LEAVING ME AGAIN! YOU GOT THAT ,HICCUP HORRENDOUS HADDOCK!"

They turn to the door to see Astrid looking furious but had tears running down her cheeks and gaped at the sight of her.

Hiccup ask "Astrid? Uh...how much di-"

Astrid rushed to his bedside and kissed his lips deeply with everything she could put into the kiss.

After the kiss she smiles "I will just have to work on controlling my anger, but one thing is for sure, I'm not letting you leave me again! You got that?"

Hiccup gaped at her in shock that she kissed him again and crying for him not to leave her.

Astrid lays her head against his chest to listen to his heartbeat.

Stoick hands Hope to her and leaves the Hut to go do Chief duties.

One week later, Hiccup was released from Gothi's Hut but couldn't do any heavy lifting for another two weeks.

He focused on taking care of Hope and finding a way to solve the dragon raid problem.

He left Hope with Astrid and her parents while he went with Toothless dragging a ship with him to Gaul.

When he arrived at Gaul, he stared in horror at the sight of Gaul destroyed, bodies laid everywhere and house had some fire damage and whispers to himself "I should have killed those dragon hunters instead of letting them live."

Toothless croons at the sight of the village.

They walk to his and Sophie's house to see it some what damage and heads inside to pack whatevers left of clothing and Hope's stuff.

Once he filled a basket of clothes, he had Toothless carry it to the small boat. Next he packed Hope's clothes and diapers. Her stuffed dragons and building blocks in a basket.

He went into his old bedroom and packed pictures of him and Sophie and Hope. He sheds a tear "I'm sorry, Sophie that I got you killed, because I refused to Toothless go with that psycho, but I promise you, I'm going to kill him."

He heads downstairs to the kitchen and packs up the bottle formula for Hope. Next he packs up the storage fish that they had in the seller. He went through every house gathering up fish from sellers and storage shed as well.

By the time he got done with raiding the food, him and Toothless sent a pyre with Sophie's body on it out to sea and lit it on fire "rest in peace Sophie and hope the Valkyries welcome you into Asgard to serve Odin."

Toothless croons at him and nuzzles his hand. Hiccup wipes his eyes while shedding tears.

Toothless dragged the ship back to Berk at their slowest speed so he doesn't get tired.

They reached Berk by night time when torches were lit. A couple of guards came down to assist him in carrying stuff the ramps. All the baskets of fish were set on a weapons cart. His stuff was carried in a wheelbarrow. He decided to move back in his old house setting up some of his pictures of his family "I'm going to miss you, Sophie."

Wind blew into his face and a voice whispers back "and I'll miss seeing you too, Hiccup. And I'll always love you and our little Hope. I know Astrid can be scary sometimes, but give her a chance."

Hiccup gasped at the voice and cries softly at hearing his late wife's voice.

Stoick walks inside his son's room to see him wiping his eyes and ask "where did you get all of that fish from?"

Hiccup sniffles "from Gaul, since everyone was killed, I figure that Berk could use the fish through winter."

Stoick sighs and nods his head "I'm sorry about Gaul, son."

He noticed his son holding a picture in his hands and ask "what's that in your hands?"

Hiccup sniffles and shows him the picture of himself with Sophie holding baby Hope after being born.
