Hiccup and Astrid were sleeping next to each other, when the village bell rings loud over the village.

Hope starts whining from being woke up. Astrid woke up to Hope crying to hear the village bell ringing and wakes up Hiccup "wake up, Hiccup!"

Hiccup opens his eyes and ask "what is it?"

Astrid panics "Dragon Raid!"

Hiccup gets up and change into clothes "Sharpshot, Hope, safe house. Now!"

Sharpshot took Hope through the window heading to the Cove.

Astrid ask "where did you send our daughter?"

Hiccup smiles "my secret Cove, where I trained Toothless."

Astrid smiles "your going to show me this secret Cove, aren't you?"

Hiccup smiles "if you want to see where I trained Toothless, I'll show you place."

They leave the house and go do their jobs. Hiccup went to the Forge to see Gobber working and says "I'm here to help you."

Gobber smiles "I thought you would be staying home protecting your daughter or is Astrid protecting your daughter."

Hiccup smiles "neither. I'm here helping you, Astrid is leading the fire brigade, Toothless is flying around defending the livestock and Hope is in my secret Cove being guarded by Sharpshot."

Gobber smiles "you make a great father, Hiccup."

Hiccup smiles "thanks, Gobber."

Gobber ask "I heard from Ingrid, that Astrid was forced to room with you to help you get over your fear of her."

Hiccup blushes "actually I think her rooming with me is something more, but I'm starting to like her rooming with me."

Gobber smirks "maybe if you were honest about how Astrid was treating you during your engagement, maybe Ingrid would have made Astrid room with you."

Hiccup thinks about it and says "no, she wouldn't, she would have went to one of her friend's house to room with them and I had to face the fact that if I wanted a better life, I would have to runaway from here with Toothless and Sharpshot and I'm happy I did it because now I got a daughter and she is everything to me."

Gobber curious ask "you would runaway from villagers to live with dragons than try and prove them wrong about hiccups?"

Hiccup looks at him with a sad expression and says "yes, Gobber, I would rather leave Berk behind than to deal with the ridicule and hurtful things about me."

Gobber whispers softly "I'm sorry, Hiccup about how you felt all those years ago."

Next thing they hear is Toothless roaring over the village, pinning down the leading dragon.

All the dragons stop what they were doing and bow before Toothless recognize him as an Alpha dragon.

Toothless roars making them stop taking the food and fly away to another island to attack for food.

Everyone looked at the dragons leave without taking any food or livestock. Toothless talked with a Deadly Nadder.

After the dragon left, everyone gaped in shock that Toothless defended them from the dragons and thought about what their lives would be like if Hiccup never became brave enough to befriend a Nightfury and save them from the dragons.

Hiccup finished sharpening the last sword and left to go to the forest to collect Hope.

Half an hour later, he returned from the forest carrying Hope with Sharpshot sleeping on his head.

All the villagers were cleaning up the damage from the raid.

Hiccup took Hope home after telling Toothless to go watch over Astrid and leaves. Once he got inside the house and walked upstairs to his and Astrid's room, he changed Hope's diaper and feed her a bottle and changed out of his clothes and into his pajamas and went to bed with Hope in her crib.

A few hours later, Astrid came up the stairs with Toothless looking exhausted and went to bed after changing into her pajamas "he didn't even wait for me, then again he always left to escape the villager's hurtful comments about him."

Next morning, Hiccup got up and left early and let Astrid sleep in some more. He took Hope with him and left a note for Astrid.

He walked down to the Forge and placed Hope in a wooden highchair that he made out of two by fours and laid padding over the chair to make it comfortable for his daughter. An hour later Gobber arrived with Stoick wearing proud smiles on their faces.

Stoick smiles "uh...son, the villagers would like to say that their sorry for treating you horrible years ago and that we owe a Nightfury, two barrels of fish for keeping the dragons from taking our food and livestock."

Hiccup looks at him and ask "the villagers want to say sorry to me?"

Gobber sighs "I know you don't care what happens in the village anymore because of how they treated you, but you don't have to forgive them yet."

Hiccup curious ask "are you sure they're sorry?"

Astrid walks in and walks up to Hiccup and punches him in the shoulder.

Hiccup gaped "what was that for?"

Astrid scolds him "that was for going to bed without me!" And grabs his collar and pulls into a deep passionate kiss on the lips "that was for the note this morning and for letting me sleep in this morning."

She looks at Hope who giggles and coos "da gt ht by ma an kss."

Astrid smiles "yes, daughter, your dad did get hit by me because he was in trouble and the reason why I kissed him was because he did romantic thing for me."

Stoick smiles "I see you two are doing good together, which means that Astrid can go back to her parent's house."

Hiccup and Astrid yell "NO!"

Stoick stumbles back from their combined voice and ask "why not?"

Hiccup smiles "I like having her stay with me because it's easier for us to take care of Hope in the morning and at night with one changing her diaper while the other makes her bottle."

Stoick sighs "Hiccup, you know the family honor, a boy and a girl can't room together when they are over the marrying age. They can only room together for a short period of time."

Astrid blushes "I want to stay with Hiccup."

Stoick sighs "the only way, would be for you two to get married."

Astrid scolds "but I don't want to marry Hiccup yet! We haven't even reached that stage in our lives!"

Stoick curious ask "what if you both reach a point where you both want to make love with each other?"

Hiccup turns around and begins working on a weapon, not wanting to have that kind of conversation.

Both Stoick and Astrid watch him work on weapons in shock. Astrid turns to Stoick "like I said, we haven't even reached that point in our lives or talk about having a relationship."

Stoick curious ask "why did he just walk away when I ask what if you both reach that point in your lives that you both want to make love?"

Astrid sighs "because I gave him the impression that I didn't want to have a married life with him and because of that, I have to take it slow with him."

Stoick and Astrid leave with Hope while Hiccup and Gobber worked in the Forge.

Lunch time came, Gobber ask "so you like Astrid rooming with you?"

Hiccup smiles "I guess but sometimes I feel like this is an act so she can redeem herself and just be friends instead of being more."

Gobber replies sadly "it's okay, Hiccup, to feel that way. You been miss treated by everyone in the village."

Hiccup smiles "I would be with Sophie still if Drago Bludvist didn't destroy my second chance at being happy on Gaul."

Astrid came running into the Forge and panics "Hiccup! Hope is missing!"

Hiccup stops what he is doing and ask "what do you mean she is missing?"

Astrid panics "I sat her down in the livingroom while I grabbed my axe that you made me as an engagement present. I come back downstairs to find her gone!"

Hiccup smiles "we'll find for her, Astrid."

They look around the entire village but couldn't find her anywhere. Night time came and Hiccup and Astrid were worried about Hope.

Toothless tracked Hope's scent all over the village and realized that he doesn't have a clue which scent is the real one.

Hiccup and Astrid decided to take a break from looking for Hope.

Snotlout smirks "Astrid, you should have listened to me when I told you, that you are mine alone."

Hiccup scowls "Snotlout where's our daughter?"

Snotlout smirks "she's safe as long as you agree to a deal."

Astrid scowls "what deal?!"

Snotlout smirks "a trade, Hope for Astrid!"

Astrid scowls "what?!"

Snotlout smirks "I'll give you back Hope if you give me Astrid to date!"

Hiccup scowls "Snotlout Jorgenson, if you don't give me back Hope right now, then I'm not held responsible for what happens to you."

Snotlout scowls "I'll give you Hope if you give me Astrid to marry!"

Astrid scared to be the bargain chip looks at Hiccup.

Hiccup just smiled as the torches were lit to light up the area around them and the villagers could see Toothless standing behind Snotlout with his teeth bare.

Snotlout holding Hope in his arms. Hiccup scowls "either you give me Hope now or you go to Gothi's Hut for medical treatment."

Snotlout scowls "well if you don't want to give me Astrid, then no! Astrid is my sex slave to have however I want her to be!

Hiccup pushes Astrid to Snotlout to trade for Hope. Snotlout grabs her by her neck and says "your going to be a good sex slave or you can suffer painfully."

He turns around to come face to face with Toothless and says "oh shit!"

Toothless pounced on him, smacking him in the face and clawing his shirt. Then he grabs him and throws him through a house wall.

The villagers stared in shock that Hiccup didn't even stop Toothless from attacking Snotlout, then again Snotlout threaten his daughter to get Astrid as a sex slave.

Hiccup walks over to Astrid and ask "are you okay, Astrid?"

Astrid sighs "my neck might bruise later on, but why did you push me to him for?"

Hiccup smiles "you were safe, Astrid because Toothless was behind him waiting for Snotlout to hand me Hope, because anyone who handles Hope has to go through me and you. Plus Hope is Toothless's goddaughter because I asked him to be along with Sharpshot."

Astrid smiles seductively at him and grabs his collar and kisses him on the lips.

Toothless croons at Hope and nuzzles her chest.

Spitelout scowls "Hiccup! Either you get rid of that dragon or keep it in the dragon arena! That's twice now that your dragon threw my son through a house!"

Stoick scowls "brother! Maybe you should teach your son to keep his hands off my granddaughter and daughter in-law!"

Spitelout scowls "I can't help that he wants Astrid for himself!"

Stoick scolds him "maybe you should tell him no! Otherwise Hiccup will beat his ass because if anything happens to Hope, I'm not going to stand in my son's way of destruction!"

Hiccup and Astrid took Hope home.

Snotlout woke up and scowls "Hiccup is giving me Astrid!"

He stumbled into his house looking horrible.

Alistair and Ingrid were surprised that Hiccup wouldn't let anything happen to their daughter but shocked that he would trick Snotlout into handing over Hope and letting Toothless attack him for touching their daughter.

Next morning Hiccup and Astrid carried Hope to the Forge. Hiccup worked while Astrid visited her parents with Toothless escorting her there.

Snotlout scowls that he couldn't touch her with Toothless around her at all times now.

Alistair and Ingrid notice how Hiccup started showing signs that him and Astrid were bonding more with each other and started getting concerned about Astrid's purity before marriage which when they ask about that, he said 'that he wasn't interested in having sex with Astrid at all'.

Ingrid just put it aside knowing why he never talked about having a family with their daughter and understood why he felt that way. The only thing she could do was give him time to get to know Astrid more.
