' If I get attached here I may be forced to stay, is that the fate I choose? '
This line has been running through my head ever since I've had that talk with Joey, but what does that truly mean? Is this not a dream?
Yugi shakes his head trying to clear his thoughts.
"No, no, no that can't be right this has to be a dream" Yugi mumbles to himself.
"Is something troubling you Yugi?" A voice speaks behind Yugi breaking his thoughts once more.
"Oh Joey its you, what brings you to visit me?" Yugi asks in a daze.
"I live here to you know, this is my home after all." Joey speaks as if dumbfounded by the question he was just asked.
"Oh, yes my apologies, I was just lost in thought." Yugi speaks still partly in a daze.
"Alright speak up Yugi, I know there's something that is going on." Joey demands while taking a seat at the table then gesturing for Yugi to sit as well.
As Yugi takes the seat across from Joey he notices the stern look on his face.
Once Yugi is seated Joey speaks,
"Yugi listen to me, as long as you have your heart you will not truly belong here, you must decide on where you belong is it here or there. Either way the clocks will keep on ticking and time will keep going on regardless of what you choose."
Yugi ponders Joeys words for awhile before speaking.
"I am unsure of where I belong, I do feel somewhat different though, is there a way for me to go home?" Yugi finally spoke.
"That I'm afraid you will have to find the answer on your own." Joey says as he gets up from his chair and takes his leave. _
Yugi's POV
"Yugi have you made your decision?" Atem appears suddenly from the way Joey had exited.
I just glance over in Atem direction not speaking a word and just stare and thats when it hits me and everything goes black.
"Yugi? Hey Yugi wake up!"
I suddenly hear a voice, it sounds so familiar.
"Is that you Tea?" I crook out with a sleepy voice.
I blink my eyes once then twice trying to adjust to the light. When they finally adjust I see a familiar landscape, but the voice is long gone now. I seem to be back to where this has all started. I'm not sure how this has happened or if this is even real. As I slowly get up to glance around my surroundings everything seems to be the same. I start to search for Tea when I come upon a rose garden.
' Has this always been here?' I think to myself as I walk through the entrance.
The roses seem to be in full bloom as I keep making my way deeper into the rose garden. As I travel further into the roses I try to stay focused on what I was even doing here. I was looking for someone wasn't I? As I was lost in thought I didn't notice someone approach me from behind.
"Yugi? Is everything alright are you okay?" A soft spoken voice spoke to me.
As I was about to turn around I was enveloped in a pair of familiar arms. Before I could even speak the familiar voice spoke before me.
"Yugi I've come for you, are you alright?" Atems soft voice relaxed my body.
"I don't know why I'm here I last remember everything was black and I woke up here I think I was looking for someone." I spoke slowly as I felt unsure.
"Ah I see, feel at ease Yugi for I have come to take you back." Atem said as he gently pet my head.
"Take me back?" I questioned then turned to face Atem.
Atem just gazed at me lovingly then tilted my chin up, he then kissed me making me swallow something. This feeling, I know this feeling. I had bit Atem's bottom lip breaking the the kiss and glared at Atem.
"Atem White I had told you not to do that! And you made me swallow that same stuff again didn't you?!" I had shouted at him.
Atem licked his lip and just beamed at me. He then picked me up bridal style and proceeded to walk with me deeper into the rose garden while speaking,
"You certainly are stubborn I'll give you that my love."
"You see it is hard to come to your world, but to go back? It's simple all you have to do is fall."
And with that he jumped back down the rabbit hole with me.
