So here is my fanfiction of something I believe fans of the Mortal Instruments will love. Imagine what would have happened if it were Clary that was injected with demon blood and raised by Valentine. Jonathon was raised in the Shadow World with Jocelyn. This includes CLACE. DARK CLARY.

{Flashback}

{Valentines POV}

Jocelyn had turned against me.

When the Circle and I entered the Accords Hall we were against savaged downworlders with numbers more than we could cope with.

I saw her flash of red hair turn around a corner as she carried Jonathon out of the Hall - Jonathon was always Jocelyn's favourite, as Clary had been mine.

I fled the Accords Hall, knowing I would die if I remained. 4

When I arrived at the Morgenstern Manor I grabbed the only thing of worth to me. Clarissa. She was only a few months old at the time, so wouldn't have to bear the burden of her mothers betrayal.

I scooped her up onto the horse with me - but not before I lit a match inside the Manor. It would be reduced to ash within the hour.

Jocelyn would assume Clarissa had perished in the fire. Making her my secret weapon to unleash on the Clave when she was strong enough. I turned and fled Idris that night, never looking back.

{16 years later}

{Clary's POV}

I felt that familiar sizzling sensation on my arm as the demon ichor burned through my gear and onto my skin.

A small gasp of pain escaped my lips, as a smirk crept onto them also. I looked the hellhound demon in the face.

"Big Mistake."

I spat at him. Following these words I threw my knife into the demon's side, it howled at the sudden pain which distracted the hellhound long enough for me to kick off the wall and drive my seraph blade through the demon's chest.

I landed gracefully and focused all my strength into plunging the blade deep ; with hellhound demons you had to be sure that you had struck the heart, and I hated making mistakes.

The pleased smirk on my face vanished as I remembered that the demon ichor had wrecked my jacket - meaning that my gear was torn once again.

Father wouldn't be very impressed, this was the 2nd time this week that I had let my gear get ruined because of my carelessness.

If I had wanted to I would have been able to kill the pathetic creature in a matter of seconds. Today I thought I might as well give it a chance, but the outcome was still the same ; the demon was dead and I was fuelled by the rush of a fight.

Noticing that the sun was beginning to rise I retrieved my knife and wiped the demon blood off. I created a portal back home - Morgenstern Manor.

My father told me that our old home had burned down in a fire, so he built a new one on Roosevelt Island inside the abandoned hospital.

Creating portals was second nature to me now, my gifts were a part of me. Stepping through the swirling abyss I was sent directly to the Manor's front door, that's another factor I was used to - portal travel.

When I had been younger it had made me sick, however the more I traveled the easier and more comfortable it was.

Swinging the door wide open I crept inside, hoping I might be able to avoid my father and hide my destroyed jacket.

"Clarissa, I take it your secret little demon hunt gave you some joy."

Father barked at me the second I entered the dining room, I should have known better than to think I could avoid him.

"As a matter of fact, you are quite right. Nothing like killing a Hellhound to start off the day is there?"

I replied in a slightly mocking tone.

"Watch your tone daughter, remember whom you are addressing."

He scolded.

"I was hoping to have a meeting with my best warrior this morning, alas we can have it after you have gone and cleaned yourself up a bit. Once you are not staining the carpet with ichor and bleeding, you may come and speak to me"

His ominous eyes raked me up and down, sending an unwelcome shiver up my spine.

I just nodded my head in submission to him. It was best not to say anything that might upset him when he was in one of these moods.

That's chapter 1 - I will be including the lives of Jace, Alec, Izzy and Jonathon in the next chapter.
