AN: Takes place during Imprisoned. part of the political compass saga.
"…So remember your courage, earthbenders! It is time to fight for your freedom!" Katara concluded her rousing speech by thrusting her fist into the air in a sign of solidarity. The national boundaries that separated her from these earthbenders were inconsequential. Their fight against a common enemy — the imperialistic, capitalist firebenders — was what truly united them, for it was the class struggle that was the one true struggle!
The earthbenders, however, didn't react to her beautiful, empowering speech. Not even a smattering of applause, or a murmur of approval! They all turned back to their own little groups, completely ignoring her.
But Katara wasn't one to give up. The earthbenders may be ignoring her now, but one day, after she had led the glorious revolutionary vanguard to victory and liberated the proletariat… her people would be afraid to be the first to stop clapping.
