"You look just like me!" The two of them cried.

Present

"This is so weird," Connie said.

"I agree. Anyway, what's your name?" Lottie gestured to the bed opposite her and Connie sat down on it.

"Constance Shepard, but you can call me Connie."

"It's nice to meet you, Connie. I'm Charlotte Gibbs, but you can call me Lottie."

"It's nice to meet you too."

They were silent for a while before Lottie spoke up.

"Just out of curiosity, when were you born?"

"The 13th of September in 1999. You?"

Lottie looked up at Connie, shocked.

"That same day."

Connie's eyes widened a little.

"Where were you born?" She asked.

"Paris, France. What about you?"

"The same. What's your Mom like?"

Lottie's eyes grew slightly sad.

"I never grew up with one. She left when I was a baby. Dad never talks about her because it causes him a lot of pain, but I know she was really pretty."

"How do you know that?" Connie questioned.

"A photograph from their wedding day. I loved looking at it when I was little and then Dad eventually gave it to me to keep."

Connie smiled.

"Hey, Connie, what's your Dad like?"

Connie's smile faltered.

"I don't have one either. My Mom left my Dad when I was a baby, like you. She's like your Dad, she never talks about him because it causes her a lot of pain. She regrets leaving him, and dealing with that choice has had a huge effect on her."

"Gosh, I can't imagine. Do you have a photo of him?" Lottie asked and the other redhead nodded.

"I can show it to you?" She offered.

"If you want to," Lottie answered. "I can show you mine."

"That would be nice."

They both pulled out the photos of the parents they didn't have, and handed them to the other.

"Oh my goodness," Lottie said, glancing over at Connie in disbelief. "Yours is ripped too."

"Lottie, my Mom's in this photo," she told her.

"My Dad's in this one," Lottie responded. "But wait, if your Mom was married to my Dad, and the two of us were born on the 13th of September..."

"We're sisters, Lottie," Connie finished for her.

"Connie, we're not just sisters," Lottie responded. "We're twins."

They looked into each other's eyes, both of them in complete and utter shock.

This is terribly short, and I'm really sorry, but the next two chapters are longer.

Anyway, thanks so much for reading. You guys are the best. X
