He needs me ch2

Thunder cracked through the sky, crashing into the ground above the hideout. Which hideout was this again? She didn't know. All she knew is she was lying on a steel table, needles pricked into her arms and chest, wires coming out from every angle of her body. The subtle beeping of a machine was beside her and someone in the far end of the room was fiddling with steel tools. A deep fear was setting in Karin's heart when footsteps approached and Kabuto Yakushi's face came into view, with a sly smile curled over his lips, the glare of his glasses made it impossible to see his eyes. She was shaking beneath his gaze, cold and scared.

"W-what am I doing here?" The small redheaded teenager asked softly, her voice trembling. She thought she was coming here to be trained, not to be some guinea pig…

"My dear…" The voice of a male resonated and chilled her to the bone. Kabuto placed the scalpel on the table beside her bed and moved a hand, running it along the side of her delicate face and stroked her cheek with a small reassuring smile. His chakra was somewhat calming but also…fake? She could feel his hand, a cold hand run down her neck. Her crimson eyes widened as he moved a hand over her chest.

"You're here for a greater purpose. You're here to serve Lord Orochimaru of course. He /saved/ you. And from now on, you'll do everything we ask. Remember, this is for your own good, Karin. You're not alone anymore. Such a fragile girl…"

The silver haired man spoke in a soft tone, his hand reaching lower and lower down her body and the next thing she knew a sharp pain roared through her body. From her lower body all the way up…

Karin's body shot up as she awoke from her deep slumber followed by a blood curdling shout, her whole body covered in sweat. Her head pounded and her heart was about to explode. Panic. What the fuck!?
The redhead gripped the thin sheet over her legs and threw it as hard she could off her body, and she looked down at her thighs. No blood. She looked at her hands and arms. No needles. The scent of the room wasn't cold or deathly, it smelled like…Sasuke. It was a dream. A nightmare. Traumas simply resurfacing. Karin took a deep breath and lowered her head into her hands. She rubbed her eyes which had swollen as tears were about to fall. She gasped for air and finally found it, taking a few deep breaths and leaned over to the nightstand to put her glasses on, sliding the brown frames over both sides of her face and comfortable pushed it up the bridge of her nose. Wait. Thinking of Sasuke, where was he? Probably outside. He wouldn't have abandoned her there, so she didn't even bother trying to locate his chakra.

With all the sweat that clung to her body, messy hair and the sex she had last night…Karin felt dirty. She wasn't leaving without a shower, so the boys would just need to wait. She didn't bother putting the sheet back on the bed, she'd never come back here anyway. She removed the thigh high socks she had kept on and headed to the bathroom for her shower. The shower walls were wet, and the soap had suds all over it. Sasuke showered. Karin removed her glasses and placed them on the sink before she stepped into the shower and stood in the same spot he had been in and felt somewhat comforted. Feeding into her delusion of being Sasuke's one and only. But that's not what was on her mind. She needed to compose herself, center herself and ground herself after the horrific nightmare. She turned the shower knob and hot water began to rain over her head, wetting her skin, washing away all of the salt her body exuded as well as washing away the lingering anxiety. God, how embarrassing if Sasuke had seen her react that way. She pressed her head against the wall which had some mold spread over it.

"These nightmares have got to stop…"

The redhead muttered to herself, raising a hand and using her fingers to rake the wet crimson strands out of her face and proceeded to waste no time in washing herself and getting her shit together. After fifteen minutes of showering she stepped out in a towel and dried her scarred body off and got dressed. Thigh high socks, tight short shorts and her purple zip up shirt. She grabbed a backpack and gathered whatever things she had, it wasn't much, and threw it over her shoulder. She stood in the doorway of the room and looked over her shoulder. She was finally leaving this prison. Someone finally got her out.
She exited the room and didn't even bother closing the heavy iron door. She closed her eyes and located the duo. Outside. Five meters away from the graveyard of prisoners who had misbehaved. She quickly made her way outside to meet up with her newfound team.

She spotted them and walked over to them. Be casual. Be normal. She said to herself when she saw the man who had taken her last night. Next to him, sitting atop of grave was that disgusting wannabe fish. Ugh, she could smell him from where she was.

"Mornin' sunshine!"

The white-haired man waved a muscular arm at her, sharp teeth bared. "Hey, you got anything better to eat than moldy bread and cold ass canned food? This shit is gross." He tossed the roll of bread over his shoulder and chuckled. What a loudmouth.

"You're gross."

Karin shot the insult straight at Suigetsu and crossed her arms, swaying her hips from side to side as she strode to stand next to Sasuke, who she looked up at with a small smile. He said nothing. He took a step away from her. She was too close. Dammit.

"Jeez you look like hell. Did'ja not sleep? I thought what I was hearing would have knocked you out." Suigetsu commented and Karin's cheeks flushed until it registered that he just called her ugly. She furrowed her brows and raised her fist at him, opening her mouth to rebuttal and counterattack but Sasuke beat her to the punch and raised his voice. Deep, authoritarian voice.

"That's enough. Both of you."

I didn't even do anything! Karin's inner self yelled and was burning with rage directed at that purple eyed freak.

"We don't have time to waste. We're going to the northern hideout to get Jugo. Let's go."

Sasuke took a few steps forward and Suigetsu stood up to follow. Clearly he wasn't scared but Karin on the other hand, she knew about Jugo and what he could do. He slaughtered villages single handily.

"You're not serious, right? Jugo?!" Karin exclaimed as her crimson eyes widened and her jaw hung open.
"He's crazy!"

"And you're not?" Suigetsu stabbed her in the heart with his words. It didn't make her upset, but it did anger her. Karin rolled her eyes and followed from behind, ignoring the water nin and continued her pleas to drop Jugo.

"The northern hideout is highly dangerous, Sasuke. It's like an asylum for failed experiments! You can't be serious…"

Karin focused chakra to her feet so she could follow and walk on water, catching up and falling into step with her partner looking up at him as she spoke. Sasuke shot her a neutral gaze. Pools of darkness just staring at her blood colored eyes. It made her heart thump. The gaze didn't last long. He wasn't one for eye contact.

"Do I look like I'm kidding? I know what we're walking into." He scoffed.

"You scared?" Suigetsu laughed at how frightened she was. Karin stuck her middle finger up at Suigetsu.

"Not as scared as you'll be when he tries to crush your smooth brain between his palms!" Karin growled at the shark toothed man and brusquely crossed her arms over her chest. Now she had never formally accepted Sasuke's request and played it off as if she was only coming with them part of the way, in an attempt to make herself seem 'cool' and the party continued on their way to the northern hideout to pick Jugo up.

A few days had passed now. Sasuke had been very distant from Karin. Nothing like their first night happened again and he kept her at an arms length, much to her disliking. Why was he doing this to her? How could he be so…Sociopathic!

'Did he…regret being with me?'

The redhead asked herself, walking down a road in a small village they had settled in for the night. Sasuke, Suigetsu and Jugo had gone to the inn to get the rooms ready, half of it because Suigetsu had been complaining about how tired he was of walking. She went to pick up some food for the group and to scout the village out a little to avoid any enemies. There were no threats here. She had stopped in a small diner that was fused with a cute little bakery and picked up various sandwiches and some freshly baked pastries. It was all she could afford with what little money Sasuke had given her for this errand. Cheap bastard.

Things were a little tense between everyone. Sasuke hadn't really explained to everyone what they were all doing and what the objective was. All that was said is Sasuke had an objective and he needed them to complete it. Their team would be called 'Hebi'. The only thing Karin had taken from the conversation was that he needed her.

"We're gonna need to talk…"

The redhead whispered to herself, mindlessly walking, dodging some people on her way to the rickety old inn. It was an alright hotel. It was very small and very old, it was obvious just by looking at the wooden building. The decorations on the outside were bare and boring. Only a sign indicating it was an inn could be seen as well as a sign with the number of rooms with the prices. Talk about run down. But it had beds, baths with showers and it was inexpensive, so it couldn't be that bad. Karin had stayed in worse locations, like sleeping under the stars in the rain the night before or in one of Kabuto's cold and wet laboratories on a steel operating table.

She opened the door to the establishment, the door creaked loudly and shut hard behind her, making her jump slightly. The floor was covered in a red carpet and the walls were the same as the outside, except the walls inside had paintings on them. Various landscapes. Basic. The counter with the innkeeper behind it doubled as a bar, rows of liquor bottles were displayed behind the older man. 'Lovely.' The crimson-eyed woman approached the innkeeper with a neutral expression. Otogakure men weren't the softest or nicest men in the lands. He was no different from that description. He was quite short and wide. He had a thick gray beard and his hair was disheveled in salt & pepper curls. He was a sight for sore eyes. He just stared at her.

"Which room is Sasuke Uchiha in?" Karin asked in a soft tone, hoping he wouldn't give her any trouble. And he didn't. He cleared his throat and lowered his brows.

"Room 4. Y'all four're gonna sleep in one bed?" He asked in a gruff tone and stared at her, hoping she would cough up some cash and get her own room. Karin was too busy wondering what was going on. Four in one bed? Oh no. That's not gonna work. Without saying a word to the gnarled man, she turned on her heeled boots and rushed up the stairs to the room and turned the knob to open the door only to find it be locked. Groaning, Karin closed her eyes and could feel her comrade's chakras. They were all there. The hell was it locked for? Karin balled a fist and started banging on the door.

"Hey, open up! The food's gonna get cold, come on, you idiots!"

She continued to bang on the door mercilessly, not having a single care about the other occupants in the other rooms or the innkeeper downstairs. Karin was one shameless woman at times. She went to kick the door down after one last warning before she heard the door unlock and a crack in the doorway opened. A vexatious violet colored eye greeted her with half a visible smirk. This idiot…

"What's the password?" The white-haired swordsman called out to the fiery woman in a signing tone. And before Suigetsu could even get a response, the door busted open, hitting him in the face and knocking him back into a pool of water, nearly breaking his nose, a pained groaned coming from Suigetsu who grumbled a few curses under his breath.

"That's your damn password!" The redhead shrieked out. She hauled the bag of food she held to the coffee table and tossed the bag on it, no caring if she squished the sandwiches and snacks, she had gotten for them. Instead, she had other matters on her mind. Like how she was going to have to share a room with three guys. That means one bathroom for four people. One bed for four people and god forbid she sleeps on the floor. Not happening. She violently crossed her arms and looked over the room, at the three men that were scattered around it. Jugo sat in a red velvet reclining chair at the window, asleep and uncomfortable. He was far too big for that chair. Suigetsu was on his back on the floor, rubbing his injured nose like a little baby, pretending to be fatally injured. What a dumbass. Sasuke was sat on the bed, cleaning his sword off with a white cloth he'd probably found in the bathroom. The room itself was very small. Only furnished with a bed and two chairs. An ugly yellow rug on top of green carpet at the edge of the bed. The walls were covered by patterned wallpaper, a corner at the top of the wall was coming down, revealing the wall to be white. Yeah, this isn't gonna work. She shot her gaze at Sasuke across the small room and glared furiously.

"What's this about four people sleeping in one bed?!"

Sasuke didn't even lift his raven eyes from the sword he was polishing. His right hand held the sword by it's hilt and the other hand slowly and carefully slid the cloth against the cold hard steel, cleaning any bloodstain that laid upon the blade. "What?" He replied to her question nonchalantly, not giving a care in the world for her concerns. This was pushing her closer to the edge. Karin had done her best to comply to Sasuke's demands without much back talk, but it was getting harder and harder, especially with Karin's volatility and Suigetsu constantly priming her.

"'What~?' You know what! You got a room with one bed for four people!? What the hell is wrong with you?! I refuse to sleep in the same room as him!" The redhead's index finger aggressively jerked towards the white haired man laying on the floor. Sasuke finally broke his concentration on the sword and tilted his head up, dark eyes leering at the angry woman. The yelling woke the slumbering gentle giant in the tiny red chair, sitting up slowly and rolled his neck to remove kinks, wondering what the hell was going on. Why's this girl shouting everyone's heads off? Suigetsu ignored her and rushed to the table to gobble some delicious, edible food that wasn't grilled hare. He was disappointed to see egg, ham and cheese sandwiches. Why'd they all have tomatoes in them? He tossed them aside and began stuffing his face with the pastries.

"Hello!? Are you gonna take your happy ass downstairs and get me a room, since you're controlling all the money?!"

The redhead's angry, furrowed brows rose back into place and her furious expression slowly morphed into a frown and her cheeks grew a tint of pink as she slowly strode over to the Uchiha's side and kneeled beside him on the floor, crimson eyes staring up at him like a hungry puppy.

"Please? We could be alone together…Just you and me…No fish breath and no Jugo. What do you say?"

Karin's sudden mood swing didn't phase Sasuke in the least, just outstaring her, black irises glued to her face. Although it didn't bother him, Jugo was taken aback, wondering if he was the only one with a split personality. Sasuke dragged out the suspense of his response for a moment, purposely making Karin squirm. Her eye twitched a little before he drew breath and spoke. "…No."

"Than- Wait. What do you mean no!?" Karin sprung up from her knees to her feet and slapped her hand on her forehead and arched her back, turning her back to Sasuke and started to pace. 'This is ridiculous.'

"Go get your own room if this isn't up to your standards." The man on the bed went back to cleaning his sword casually as he sucked in a deep breath and released a sigh.

"And just how am I supposed to pay for that?" The redhead asked before Suigetsu piped into the one sided, heated conversation, speaking with a mouthful of fresh cheesy bread. "You could go make nice with the guy downshtairs, he ain't a Shashuke-" He swallowed hard. "But I'm sure he'd give ya a deal." He winked his violet eye at her. To which Karin reared her head to shoot daggers at him with her eyes.

"Stay out of this! H-hey!, don't eat everything, you filthy-"

Coins scattered at her feet, some hitting the top of her boots, immediately catching her attention as she peered down at the ryo on the carpet and lifted her head to see Sasuke leaning back to put his money pouch back on the nightstand beside her. He didn't look at her whatsoever. Instead he leaned back against the headboard of the bed and sheathed his swords, crossing his arms over his chest and closed his dark eyes. Breathing in deeply before opening his mouth.

"Go."

Karin crouched and gathered the money he essentially threw at her, picking up every coin, counting them meticulously. One hundred…Two hundred…She had five hundred ryo. She had to yell this much for this long to squeeze just 500 ryo out of him? 'I'd hate to see where he'd take a girl on a date…' The redhead thought to herself. She pocketed the coins in the pocket of her short black shorts and sighed deeply, closing her eyes for a moment, composing herself after shouting for ten minutes straight. Before she could even speak, a crash came from where Jugo was sitting. Apparently, he had tried to open the window to see the birds better, but instead he just broke the damn thing. A low 'sorry' left his lips and Karin took that as her cue to get the fuck out of there.

"Thanks, Sasuke." The redhead perked up and called out to the team leader in a melodic and high-pitched voice and ran to the door. She turned and blew a kiss at him and made her escape, slamming the door behind her and rushing down the stairs to book her own room.

Back in the room, Suigetsu rose from the floor where he had been eating the food Karin picked up, he'd pretty much eaten most of the pastries and left the sandwiches for the other three.
"I'm gonna go get a drink. Ya want anything? Sasuke? Jugo? Nah? Nothin'? Alrighty then."
The other two men hadn't responded, so he took his leave and followed Karin downstairs. He really did want a drink, but he also wanted to antagonize his redheaded companion, who was already causing a commotion in the lobby.

"What do you mean, you won't let me get a room?! Do you think I'm dumb? Most of the damn rooms are empty!" She pounded her fist on the counter, making some of the glasses and items jump slightly. She adjusted her glasses on the bridge of her nose and drew in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. This was giving her high blood pressure, damn…

The gruff old man growled gutturally and rolled his eyes at her before a small smirk began to curl on his thin, gray haired covered lips. "Well, you could do me a lil' favo-" The perverted man was quickly cut off when Suigetsu hopped up on one of the stool and slapped a hand on the counter, his purple eyes gleaming with intimidation. He leaned in and smirked, baring sharp teeth and lifted a hand up on the hilt of his sword.

"Give the lady here a room, before I cut your damn head right off your shoulders. And give me some whiskey on the rocks. No chargin' us either." He shot a glance up at Karin who was standing beside him and winked at her, which disgusted her. She grimed and crossed her arms, mumbling a 'thank you' under her breath. She sat in the stool next to him.

The old man simply and quickly retreated to the back room of the inn and pretty much went to hide. After a few minutes, the two deduced he wasn't coming back, probably until they left. Suigetsu stood up and went behind the counter and examined the assortment of liquor, pouring himself some and adding ice. Karin watched him, rolling her eyes at how wrong he was doing this. He then poured a larger glass of water, which she thought was for her. Karin went and reached for it but he jerked it away from her.

"Nuh uh, that's not for you. I ain't the bartender." He smirked and downed the liquor, following up with a swig of water. Karin gave him a fake smile and held her middle finger up at him before she also rose to her feet and went to snatch a room key from the little hook on the wall. She went to walk to the stairs when she was suddenly grabbed by shark boy. He caught her forearm to stop her from leaving. Karin jerked her arm out of his grasp forcefully and glared.

"Don't touch me, ever again."

"You know he doesn't give a rat's ass about you, right?" The white-haired male spoke in a lower, more serious tone that he usually carried. His purple eyes were peering straight into her crimson irises. He hoped it would antagonize her, but he was also looking out for himself and the team. He didn't need her getting him or herself killed in a situation where her emotions could get in the way of things.

Karin raised a red brow and pretended not to understand that ridiculous statement. Of course, he cared about her. He wouldn't have saved her if he didn't. Duh. "I don't know what you're talking about." She turned to walk away when she was once again yanked away from the stairs. She growled and spun, sending a backhanded slap towards Suigetsu's face, which was caught by him, his large hand snatching her wrist and pushing her against a wall, hard, one of the many paintings fell off and crashed to the floor.

"Listen to me, dammit. Sasuke doesn't give a shit about you, or us. He'd kill you in a heartbeat if it got him to the top. Remember that." He released her roughly and walked away from her, returning to his drink, sitting in the chair. Karin stood there for a moment, thinking about what he said. He was wrong. Sasuke would never kill her. He would never hurt her. He needed her!

"Shut up. You don't know him like I do." The redhead spitefully shot at Suigetsu's back and stomped off to the stairs and made her way up. Room 9 was etched on the key she had in her hand. She walked across the hall to her bedroom and inserted the key, twisting it and opening the door. It was the exact same room as the one Sasuke got. Upon entry, she was hit by the same musty scent, queen sized bed with a nightstand and two chairs and a coffee table as well as the bathroom. She dropped the pouch she had on her hip, on the coffee table and took out the money Sasuke so graciously gave her and also dropped it on the coffee table, letting out a small sigh. She then moved to the door and slipped out of the room, closing the door behind her and walked down the hall back to the men's room and walked in without knocking at all. She saw Sasuke in the same sitting position he was when she left with his eyes closed and Jugo had a couple birds on his arm. He seemed amused but was saddened when she scared the little birds away. He didn't say anything. She addressed him directly.

"Is he asleep?" She nodded her head at raven haired swordsman. Before the ginger giant could answer, a deep voice shot from the bed.

"What do you want, Karin." Sasuke spoke without opening his eyes even once. His voice was deep. Her name rolled off his tongue so nicely, it made Karin's entire body shiver with desire. Her cheeks tinted a slight tinge of pink.

"I…I just wanted to let you know that I'm in room nine. If… You ever get tired of bunking with men." Karin snickered and smiled sincerely at the man on the bed and maybe it was to her delusion, but she could have sworn she saw him smile a little. It made her heart stop for a second. Just a second. She came back to her senses when her stomach growled a little. She made her way to the coffee table and picked up one of the sandwiches, noticing two of them were missing. She smiled to herself as if she was proud of her purchases. With her food in hand and taking her bag, she shuffled to the door of the room and waved at Jugo before exiting and rushing down the hall to her room where she could eat in peace and quiet.

It had only taken Karin a couple of minutes to eat her food, having been ravenous and not really having real food back in the hideout and the group had been eating either grilled fish or hare. It felt nice to taste some lettuce, tomatoes, real meat. After she had plopped down on the bed, laying on her back and stared at the ceiling for at least ten minutes before slumber took her over and put her down, only waking up a few hours later. Awakening in a dark room, she felt a sense of anxiety take her over when she sat up in the pitch-black room. Her breath felt like it was cut off and she was going to have a heart attack. The muscle in her chest squeezed and she began to sweat, red hair clinging to her forehead. Oh no. Oh no, no, no. Flashes of Kabuto and the sound of his laughter came to mind and she threw herself off the bed in a desperate frenzy to get to the door, seeing the smallest amount of light seeping in from under it. She fumbled around with the knob as her whole body was shaking to open the door and let the dim light of the hallway plunge into her room, lighting it slightly. She was okay. She was still in the hotel. Karin continued to shake, although less violently than before, she was slowly coming down from the panic attack, leaning her head against the doorway, catching her breath. Sasuke was just down the hall in his room. She was safe. Sucking in some air, she turned and stepped back into the bedroom and slide her hand against the wall to turn the overhead lights on. The lights flickered occasionally. She had noticed the curtains were shut, so that explained why it was so dark. It was also dusk. Damn…She cursed under her breath and shut the room door, not bothering to lock it in case Sasuke wanted to come join her.

"Shower time…"

Karin took a few more deep breaths and grounded herself, stripping out of her clothes and dug through her bag for some clean underwear before she made her way to the bathroom. Not the cleanest. Not the biggest. But functional. It served its purpose. The shower was over a small bathtub. At least this bathroom had no rust on the showerhead like in the hideout. She turned the water on and waited for it to get hot before stepping into the tub and standing beneath the hot water, making her let out a soft moan. After a few days in the rain, travelling on foot, a hot shower felt heavenly. She took the shampoo that was provided and squirted some in her hand, slowly lathering her vibrant disheveled hair when she felt someone approaching.

Someone just broke into her room. She could feel their chakra. The chakra she sensed was darkner than what she normally felt. This was the feeling she got when Sasuke arrived at the southern outpost to retrieve her. He was here…

Sasuke was coming for her.
