I wish to run a hotel in a world that had ended.
Her wish was granted.
She was shocked to find herself in a familiar setting.
It was the Le Grande Paris Hotel.
But what happened!?
Everywhere was covered in a thick layer of dust, that classy sheen it had in the tv show was no more, there was an easy silence in the air.
Everybody had fled the hotel, even Chloe.
If there was food, it had long since gone bad or had been raided.
She saw a timer in front of her for the first guest and her first quest to clean the place up.
She buckled down and found supplies, she did not worry about zombies strolling in.
But she had underestimated how big the place was, but she felt no tiredness.
In fact, her eyes were crystal blue instead of brown.
She did not feel the need to eat, with each thing she cleaned, she got money and skill.
It took her 2 days to clean the whole place, then she brought the big 3, electricity, gas and water.
It immediately notified her of the next payment for this, but she went to vacuum the place, she switching the lights on, put the sheets and carpet in a washing machine and dried it.
2 more days it took.
Then she brought fresh little things like soap, hotel bathrobes, food, secret parking lot, Cable, Wifi, etc.
Now the employees.
She looked and almost had a heart attack when she saw somebody.
Nino Lahiffe.
The guy had died!
She brought him and he collapsed on the couch next to her, thankfully, his clothes were in poor shape but it seemed the system made sure he didn't stink and he looked healthy.
When he woke up, she saw glowing yellow eyes staring back at her.
He suddenly smiled and said. "Mother"
Mother?
She supposed this was her first, she hugged him and said. "Change. You look terrible"
He looked and jumped, he looked like a human.
He did as he was told, he went to the bathroom and came out in a fresh black shirt underneath a blue sports jacket and jeans and sneakers.
How did he?
She then brought a cook, a server, a laundry person a greeter and finally a cleaner.
Then she renamed the hotel as 'The world Ends Hotel' and brought spa people.
Then she put them in a luxury blue uniform.
She then went to the management office and watched her first costumer stroll in.
Before the countdown hit 0 she brought a no violence barrier and Zombie barrier.
It was going to be worth the cost.
The timer hit zero and a family came in, having seen the place have shocking electricity on their flashing sign.
However, when they entered, she smiled at their absolute shock of the clean, warm place.
Yes, the place was gorgeous now.
The manager came to them and said. "Welcome to The Worlds End Hotel. Do you have a booking?"
They all looked at him like he was something they hadn't seen before.
The man suddenly burst out laughing and said. "Of course you don't. We just opened. I see there are 4 of you. Let me give you a hotel key and the first will lead you to your hotel room"
What!?
Nino came out of the working elevator and said. "Hello, shall we go?"
They slowly did as they got their key and entered the elevator, inside they spent 2 minutes staring at Nino.
Probably because his eyes were glowing yellow.
He smiled back at them.
The door opened and he walked down the nice hotel and opened the room without a key.
"The key is for you by the way," he said, as he walked in and all of them were shocked at the incredibly nice and washed room.
None of them could say anything because their eyes had been so used to sleeping in awful camps for so long that they couldn't fathom what was before their eyes.
No terrible smell of human waste.
No sound of sirens or Zombies.
No coldness brushing up against their senses.
No smell of waste so thick you can taste it.
"Is this heaven, daddy?" Said a little boy.
Had they all died?
"No, it's not," said Nino. "Mother has decided that you humans need some luxury in your life. You are in luck, you're the first people ever to check-in so you have the hotel to yourself for the remainder of your stay which is all of tomorrow. Once your time has run out, you'll be escorted to the parking lot, where a gift basket will be waiting for you in a vehicle. Please follow the tunnel, it would lead you safely to a base"
All four of them stared at him like he was speaking another language.
He sighed and said. "Bathrobes are at the bathroom door. Inside the bathroom are soap and other toiletries. If you have a phone you can charge it. If you want tv, simply turn it on. However, if you're hungry, there is a fruit bowl with some water next to it, anything beyond it, the kitchen is on speed dial. Tomorrow morning, I will be providing you with fresh alternative clothes so that you can leave your rooms and the cleaner can clean your room and your old clothes."
Again they stared at him like he was speaking another language.
"However, when you leave," he said. "If you steal anything not given to you, the mother will know. You will be banned from ever coming back here. The person who stole it will never be able to see this hotel again, let alone step foot in it. Good night. I will see you tomorrow"
And then he walked out, and she was laughing uncontrollably.
She continued grinning as the four checked around like they expected something terrible to jump out at them.
When they realised this was real, they went nuts.
Grabbing whatever they could, they showered with soap, in an hour all of them were in a bathroom, smelling great and watching a movie on tv while munching on the fruit and swallowing the water.
She could see this was the first time in a while they had brushed their teeth with actual toothpaste.
While the world was at war and people were begging for somewhere safe, these four were watching a movie in a clean and warm hotel room.
They eventually did call the Kitchen and First arrived with hot chocolate and smores.
Then he left.
They eventually fell asleep in four comfortable bed and hours later, they woke up and she smiled seeing their shocked looks.
It was clear, they expected it all to be a dream and were shocked that it was real.
First came in, with fresh replacement clothes and said. "Breakfast will be in an hour. I will come and get you"
Then he took the tray and walked out, they were quick to dress and appear when he came back, he then took them to the nice dining area, where they were shocking given menu's.
A server came and he left.
The server asked for their orders and they did, whether it was cereal or a full English breakfast it was a massive step up from camp food.
Meanwhile, the cleaner came to clean their room and dumped their terrible clothes in the bin.
The owner of the hotel, smiled when she saw the server pour the milk into a bowl of cornflakes or bring them the full course.
They looked so grateful and happy, they savoured every bite because they knew how amazing this was in this world.
When they were done, their plates were taken away and then they were told what they could do today which was amazing in itself.
She watched them enjoy themselves and cost her money.
They went to bed happy and then they freaked out after breakfast the next morning when they were told they were leaving.
All four, begged, cried, pleaded and threatened to stay but she and her children would become homeless because the four of them wanted to suck her dry.
They needed to survive too.
She snapped her fingers and all four of them found themselves in a car with the gift basket and goodies.
All four were stunned.
First said. "Thank you for staying at the Worlds end Hotel. You can stay here again but only if you bring money. If you can't find money, there is a small money printing machine in your gift basket. Also, there will be a duration between visits because we actually want guests to leave. Remember you don't choose the hotel. The hotel choose you"
And the car began to drive against the human's will.
They were literally shown heaven and now they were being kicked out.
The car drove through a tunnel and drove out of it, the humans looked behind them only to see, the hotel vanish before their very eyes.
Of course, it did, the hotel never stayed in one place or else people would just hang around and set up camp.
And not leave.
Looking at the front they saw a nearby base coming ahead.
All four of them were about to shock an entire base.
Meanwhile, at the hotel, she came out in a suit and her and her children all cheered at the success of their first check out.
They relaxed for 15 minutes and then they got ready to greet another batch.
It was a batch of tough looking people that suddenly found out that their weapons had disappeared.
Some of them had money.
"Welcome to the Worlds End hotel," said the manager getting their attention. "Those of you who have money can use it to purchase your own room"
They all stared at him like he was growing another head.
"What the hell?" Said a man in Russian.
Nobody attacked, thanks to the antiviolence barrier.
And so, the cycle began as the hotel got its foothold in a terrible world.
