Thanks for the reviews guys! Sorry it's been so busy I haven't posted in a while. Here's a new chapter for you hope it's long enough!
The liscensing exams
"This is rather like the Chunin exams, don't you think Sakura?" Naruto was practically drooling he was so excited. He hadn't had much to do besides train the last few weeks and he was getting antsy.
"Um, yeah I guess. Though the Chunin exams were certainly more nerve-racking."
"Let's not talk about that." Sasuke interrupted. They had all forgotten about Sasuke's more special reason for hating the Chunin Exams.
"Right. Either way, it looks like everybody's gathering over there. Let's check it out."
They all pulled their cloaks tighter around them as they noticed the icy glares coming from some of the others. A short girl with smooth brown hair came up to them.
"So, what school are you guys from? I'm Hija by the way. And what are your quirks?" Sasuke looked at her suspiciously.
"Why do you care?" She dropped her smile and it was replaced with one of the scowls the rest of the group seemed to share. Naruto once again felt like a little kid. Those eyes, he thought.
"HELLO EVERYONE!" A loud voice broke the tension between the students. A woman in a skin-tight body suit smiled at the students.
"AS MOST OF YOU ARE AWARE, THE LISCENSING EXAMS HAVE BEEN MODIFIED TO HAVE A 10% PASSING RATE!" Some whispers began among the students. "ANYWAYS, THE FIRST TEST IS LIKE TAG. YOU WILL EACH GET SIX ORANGE BALLS," She held one up so they could see. "AND THREE "WEAK POINTS" THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO PLACE IN AN EXPOSED AREA." She held up the targets and explained that the sensors would recognize who threw the ball as well as who was hit. "ONCE YOU'RE OUT YOU'RE DONE. ONCE YOU GET TWO PEOPLE OUT YOU PASS AND WILL BE MOVED TO A SEPERATE AREA. ONCE 100 PEOPLE PASS IT'S OVER FOR THIS PHASE. GOOD LUCK!"
Naruto and the others went to the table and got their targets and balls. The three ninja placed them in killing spots, as that is what they had been trained to protect. They were less likely to dodge a blow to the shoulder as they were to the heart. Naruto looked up and noticed class 1A cheering them on. He gave them a thumbs up with a smile.
Once they were all ready, everybody stood around the arena, slightly unsure. Naruto and the others were allowed to keep their cloaks on, as part of their costume. The wind ruffled through them and flapped noisily. Other students kept looking at them, making Sakura slightly uneasy.
Though they had only arrived a few weeks before, many students already knew about them. Others knew that, being ninja, they were most skilled at close range combat, and believed that their quirks wouldn't be their strong point. They thought that they could get the ninja first and have an easy win.
"START!"
At the call, everybody jumped to action. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura dodged as balls whistled past them. Naruto grabbed three balls and ran towards a boy about his height, with brown hair and green eyes. The boy gasped as Naruto seemed to appear out of nowhere and hit his first ball on the boy's shoulder. Naruto's eyes widened as the boy crumbled right in front of him. Before an orange ball could touch him, Naruto spun around and landing his ball in the boy's second target. The boy disappeared again, but Naruto was ready for his attack.
"AND OUR FIRST CONTESTANT IS DONE!" Naruto grumbled as he noticed Sasuke was walking away with two people down behind him. Naruto stuck his ball in the third target of his opponent. Naruto found his next opponent hiding behind a rock. He got her before she even had time to activate her quirk.
"SECOND CONTESTANT DONE!" Naruto grunted in satisfaction. He started walking to the building of the winners. Sasuke looked up as he walked in and Naruto grumbled something about beating him. Sakura walked in a few minutes later, her short hair slightly ruffled. They all sat in the corner until the final person walked in.
"Alright! Our next contest will be a sort of rescue mission! Save all the civilians!" The walls fell down after some more explanation and suspicious explosions to reveal a disaster. The trio from the Hidden Leaf Village began searching for the actors.
"Hey Naruto there appears to be a lot of people trapped here! I can't use my strength or it will just crush them!" Naruto looked over the place Sakura was standing in. He made some shadow clones and used them as support while Sakura moved the rubble safely away. A few were unable to walk, as their limbs had been crushed, but Sakura easily healed them. Naruto had a shadow clone escort the villagers and rendezvoused with other survivors. Naruto released the shadow clone jutsu.
"Hey Sakura you may want to go to medical bay, they appear to have a lot of injured." Even though this was a training exercise, they acted like it was serious and Sakura left to heal the wounded. Sasuke used his Sharingan to find any hidden victims of this disaster. Naruto used his shadow clones, and eventually they got all the people in their area out of the rubble.
All of the sudden, a bang came out of nowhere, rocking the floor beneath them. The group they were saving got in a circle, and Naruto's clones formed a protective circle around them. Naruto and Sasuke came together, and an enemy showed himself from the corner of their eyes. There was nothing about his costume that told them who he was, so Naruto and Sasuke held back a moment, seeing how to defeat their opponent the fastest way possible.
"I'm going to destroy all of you! Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!"
Their opponent sped toward them, incredibly fast. Naruto ordered his shadow clones to get the civilians away safely. Sasuke drew his sword, and their enemy turned his full attention on him. Naruto was about to join when another enemy joined. Naruto smiled, knowing Sasuke could take care of himself.
"I've heard about you. You can make shadow clones and an energy ball, a very impressive quirk. However, I don't think you're good enough to beat me." Naruto grinned and cracked his knuckles. The first volley of attacks was like a ton of kunais, except smaller and spherical. Naruto dodged, and sent back some shadow clones charged with Rasengans. Naruto was surprised when his opponent actually dodged them, and even managed to destroy one. This guy's pretty good.
Naruto quickly caught himself before he used wind style, remembering that wasn't one of his 'quirks'. Instead, he sent more shadow clones. The opponent he was up against widened his eyes. He's got to run out of stamina sometime, right? He thought. But the grin on Naruto's face was not of one about to run out of steam. Eventually, a Rasengan caught the villain, and Naruto added more power the moment it made contact. His opponent was knocked out cold.
"Ga!" Sasuke ran his sword through his opponent.
"SASUKE! You're not supposed to kill them!!" Naruto panicked, afraid that they would get in trouble.
"I didn't. He'll live. Besides your opponent looks no better." Naruto sheepishly looked over at his opponent blasted by the Rasengan.
"Very good! You protected the civilians and defeated the villains! Your teamwork is nothing short of impressive, and now we will announce who passes and who fails." Unsurprisingly, Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura all passed. Though she didn't get much fighting experience, she was able to show off her incredible healing jutsu, and every single victim was perfectly ok.
Team 7 didn't notice a particularly evil grin directed toward them. In the corner, a small girl lifted her wrist to her mouth. "Their power is incredible, just like you said." She was interrupted by a cacophony of noises, mainly cheering. When she looked back, Team 7 was gone, as well as their Hero Liscenses.
While Team 7 was fighting, Kakashi and the UA staff was in a meeting.
"I let your students take the Exam to show their strength, but we know nothing about you. So, either we have your permisison to probe inside your head, or we have no choice but to be suspicious of you. In which case, you will get no help from us." Principal Nezu said decidedly. Kakashi smiled.
"Very well, but be warned that my memories are not pretty. And I will have to release some of the protection over my brain. However, before I do this you must promise me something."
"No promises, but I will consider whatever you ask." Kakashi knew this was the best he would get. Besides, with his fighting power he wouldn't have much to worry about if they attacked.
"When you learn about the history of me and my students, you must help us to get home, and not tell anyone about our past and power." Nezu looked at Kakashi suspiciously. What could be so worrisome about their past that he doesn't trust us?
"Very well. But if anything about your past leads me to believe you're here to harm the students, we'll destroy you."
"Yes. Release!" Kakashi released some of the protective wards over his brain. Nezu nodded to a man in the corner. The man layed his hand on Kakashi's head and they both fell to the floor, out cold.
It had only been a few moments, but the man was sweating profusely. Kakashi was still while the man probed his memories. The other man woke up.
"I need a break." He panted. "This man, I don't think anything is suspicious yet, except that he is way more powerful than he let on." The teachers widened their eyes. "He probably doesn't mean harm, but be extra wary around him because it'd take a lot to bring him down."
"Is that so? Well, there is a reason I'm the sixth hokage." The man visibly jumped as Kakashi sat up.
"How are you awake already? It takes most people a whole day to recover from that!" Kakashi just smiled.
"Well I hope that was enough information, cause my head is pounding and I'd like to get some rest." Nezu looked at the man who had probed Kakashi's mind.
"Yeah it's ok for now." Kakashi left and the UA staff swarmed the prober with questions.
"How much would it take? You said a lot but what does that mean?"
"I'm not sure how much, but he could definitely destroy some of you in a one on one fight."
"He said he's the hokage. What does that mean?"
"It means that he's like the number one hero in his village. He protects everyone and makes decisions for them."
"I see." All might folded his arms. "Is there any way he could have accidentally brought one of their villains to our world?"
"I didn't think of that. His memory was pretty hazy around the time he came in, but I think it's possible."
"Then we better be on guard." The rest of the UA staff nodded in agreement.
Across town, two shady men met in an alley.
"I see. So you have a way to get that power?"
"Yes. However, I will need your help as a distraction until my plan comes to fruition."
"Very well. Let's get started. I know some villains who would be willing to help."
The two shook hands and disappeared into the night.
