Hey everyone…I'm here with a quick Christmas one-shot before the holidays. Pleas enjoy and rated because I'm paranoid.

Iruma looked at the calendar and frowned before taking a deep breath, "What's wrong, grandson?" he looked back to see his adopted grandfather, Sullivan and their butler Opera walking towards him, concerning looks crossing their faces, "Is everything okay, my precious nugget of a grandson?"

"It's…nothing, grandpa," Iruma sighed as he shook his head, "I…I just…I'm going to be out for a while…I might not get back till late," the old demon and their butler looked at Iruma in confusion, "I…I need to give Clara something…and it'll be better if I do it tonight and alone,"

"If I may, sir," Opera spoke and Iruma looked at the redheaded demon with a faint frown crossing his lips, "Why do you have to visit your little friend tonight? Why is it so important that it can't wait until tomorrow? It's going to be cold tonight,"

"I…I know, Opera, but…the thing is," Iruma sighed and shook his head, "There's this holiday in the human world called Christmas, a time for spending with family, loved ones, friends…exchanging gifts and I have something for Clara and I'd like to give it to her before it's too late,"

"I see…and what would happen if Clara asks you why you're giving her a gift, Iruma?" Sullivan questioned, "Don't you think she'll find it a bit odd that you're giving her a gift for no reason?"

Iruma hummed and nodded, "I know, and I'll just use the same lie Balam Sensei used. I'll tell them I'm originally from a different region and that it's tradition around this time of year for something like this,"

The two stared at her for a moment before Sullivan took a deep breath and crossed his arms, "Very well, but please call if something happens,"

Iruma smiled as he nodded, "Thank you, grandpa and Opera," the two demons felt a shiver run down their spines as Iruma walked past them and hurried out of the mansion.

Clara's mother, Alana, walked up to the door as a knock caught the family's attention. Opening the door, Alana's eyes widened to see Iruma standing outside of the house, "Iruma?"

"Iruma-kins?" Clara stood up and rushed by her mother's side, staring at her blue-haired best friend in confusion, "What are you doing here, Iruma-kins?" Iruma swallowed hard as he rubbed the back of his head, "Iruma-kins? Is everything okay?"

"Um…Clara, I…I came here to give you something." Clara hummed and arched a brow in confusion before Iruma handed her a neatly wrapped, rectangular box and Clara and her mother looked at him, "It um…it's a tradition in the region I'm from, before I moved in with grandpa…you give a gift to the people who mean the most to you at this time of year,"

Clara's eyes widened as she felt her cheeks grow warmer, "I…but Iruma-kins…I didn't get you anything…I didn't know an-"

"And I didn't expect you to know," Iruma smiled and handed Clara the wrapped box, "You didn't have to get me anything, I just wanted to do something nice for you," Clara slightly smiled before she wrapped her arms around Iruma's neck and hugged him. Iruma's eyes widened before he carefully returned the embrace.

Alana's eyes traveled upward and a smile formed across her lips, "Iruma," the two separated and looked at the older demoness in confusion, "Since you were so kind to share a tradition from your region, we'd like to share one of ours. Loo up you two," doing as they were instructed, they looked up and their eyes widened, "That's called mistletoe, and you know what happens, right Clara?" the two looked at each other again before Clara leaned closer and lightly pressed her lips against Iruma's, surprising the blue-haired human slightly before he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer while Alana smiled at the two.

The two separated ad Clara cleared her throat, "That uh…the tradition is the two people under the mistletoe have to kiss…sorry if I scared you, Iruma-kins," Iruma smiled as he shook his head and patted the top of Clara's head. Clara looked down at the box in her hand, "So…is it okay for me to open this now?"

"I gave it to you," Iruma answered and Clara nodded before she began unwrapping the gift Iruma had given her a moment ago.

Opening the black, rectangular box, Clara's eyes widened at the old chain and puppy charm attached to it and Alana smile widened, "Iruma-kins," Clara took the necklace out of the box, "Uh…do you mind?" she handed it to Iruma and he nodded before taking it and Clara turned her back towards him before pushing her hair up.

Lacing the neck around Clara's neck, Iruma struggled before closing the clasps together and Alana clapped her hands, getting their attention, "Mommy?"

"Let me be the first to say congratulations," Clara and Iruma looked at each other in confusion before looking at Alana, "Iruma, by giving Clara that necklace and putting it on for her, you two are now betrothed, just another tradition in this region," their eyes widened, "Didn't your grandfather tell you about that? Didn't he see the gift you were going to give Clara?"

"N-no and no," Iruma looked at Clara and saw a small frown painted across her lips before he sighed and wrapped an arm around her, pulling her closer and surprising her, "But…tradition is tradition and I am one lucky demon to have this beautiful demoness as my betrothed," Clara looked up, a pink hue crossing her face as she slightly smiled before resting her head on Iruma's shoulder as Iruma rubbed her back, "If…if that's okay with her of course," Clara rolled her eyes before lightly kissing his cheek and wrapped her arms around him.

Well…this was a quick bit. I might have a spinoff or whatever to this one-shot after the holidays. I hope everyone enjoy their holiday, stay safe and please let me know what you all think.
