Bluey: Lover Boy's Dark Gift
The Heeler's house was decorated all over for Christmas. Lights were strewn about, holly and tinsel streamers were hung on the walls, the tree was set up and they invited their extended relatives over. However, tonight would be a special night as they had invited someone very special to Bluey as a surprise. Speaking of surprises, Chilli greeted them at the door.
"Bluey! Someone very special is here to see you!" She called.
Her eldest daughter ran down the stares, not knowing who she was talking about. That became a lot clearer when she gasped after seeing a certain black Lab enter through the door, waving at her.
"Jean-Luc!" She squealed excitedly, her tail wagging as she ran up to him and hugged him.
"Bluey!" He cried back, hugging back and his accent as prominent as the blush on his cheeks. "Joyeux Noël! It's so good to see you!"
"And Merry Christmas to you too!" She replied with the same blush as she led him up the stairs.
"Merci, Monsieur et Madame." Jean-Luc's father, Guillaume, thanked as he and his wife took off their coats. "Our boy has been so excited to see her again."
"I can understand." Bandit chuckled.
"Can't really blame our little Bluey." Chilli agreed. "Your son is quite the treat."
"I heard that!" Jean-Luc snapped.
"By the way, we thought we'd bring something for the occasion." Jean-Luc's mother, Marie, said showing the container. "We brought veal."
"Sounds tasty." Bandit said as he led them to the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Bingo was upstairs in her and her sister's room with their cousins, Muffin and Socks. Just then, Bluey walked in with Jean-Luc.
"Hey, girls! Say hello to Jean-Luc. Jean, I'm sure you've met Bingo, and those on my bed are Muffin and socks." She introduced.
"Hello." Jean greeted nervously.
"So this is your long-distance boyfriend." Muffin teased.
"Yep, he sure is." Bingo added with a snicker.
The two teens blushed and giggled nervously at the accusation.
"I wouldn't call it that." Bluey said.
"Bluey's got a boyfriend! Bluey's got a boyfriend!" Socks laughed out loud.
That just resulted in their faces turning an even darker shade of red. Before the teasing could go on any further, Bandit cut it short by calling Bluey.
"Bluey! I need some help setting the table!" He called.
With that, the teenage blue Heeler ran out of the room, leaving Jean at the mercy of her sister and cousins. Making sure she was out of earshot, the Labrador leaned in to whisper to them.
"Don't tell anyone, but I've been planning something tonight." He whispered.
"Go on." Socks said.
"Tonight, I will ask Bluey to officially be mon copine." He said.
"Your what?" Muffin wondered.
"My girlfriend." Jean clarified.
"Ooooh, going for it tonight? I like it." Bingo sad in approval. "Maybe you might even get a kiss under the mistletoe."
"Oui, that would be nice." He chuckled in agreement.
"And Jean-Luc, let me tell you, my big cousin would be lucky to have you as a boyfriend." Muffin said.
"I'd say you're a real snack." Bingo giggled.
Jean-Luc blushed like mad at their compliments.
"Merci." He said as he rubbed the back of his head and walking out of the room. "Wish me luck."
Speaking of dinner, the families had all gathered outside for they had planned a cookout dinner. The adults talked and laughed among themselves while the kids were busy with their own banter. Just then, a thought came to Bandit.
"Guillaume? Marie? Could you follow me and Chilli inside so we can talk about your son?" Bandit requested.
"And what of our son?" Marie inquired.
"It's better we talk in private." Chilli insisted.
"Alright, that seems reasonable." Guillaume relented.
With that, the Labradors followed the two Heelers into the house. Meanwhile, Jean-Luc was having fun with the Heeler cousins.
"How do you pronounce that again?" Socks asked.
"Ravi de vous rencontrer." Jean said.
Socks tried to do the same but failed miserably.
"I butchered that, didn't I?" She asked
Her sister, cousins and Jean all laughed at her attempt, much to her dismay.
"Sorry, it's just so funny." Bluey laughed, wiping a tear from her eye.
Jean sighed quietly and looked to Bluey with hopeful eyes. He decided it was now or never and made his move.
"Bluey, can I talk to you over there for a moment?" He asked.
"Okay, sure." Bluey agreed as she and Jean walked to the spot in the yard he suggested.
As they did, he winked at Bingo, Muffin and Socks, who all winked back.
"So, what's up?" She asked.
The lab blushed and cleared his throat.
"Well, Bluey. You and I have been keeping touch for years now." He began. "I just want to ask you something."
"Jean, you can tell me anything." Bluey said, putting her paws on his shoulders.
The young teens blushed as they stared into each other's eyes. Before a single word could be uttered, something cut him off.
"Hey, Jean! Mind getting us some more drinks from the cupboard in kitchen?" Stripe requested.
"Aucun problème." Jean replied as he go up and walked into the house and into the kitchen.
Jean-Luc screamed internally in frustration. Her uncle just had to interrupt and ruin the moment. But, he wouldn't let that deter him. After opening the top cupboard and rummaging around a little, he finally found what he presumed to be the drinks Stripe was talking about. What he found were green bottles of what seemed to be wine
"Étrange." He said to himself. "This doesn't look like any wine I've seen."
He swished it around in the bottle and saw that the liquid inside seemed to be a lot more viscous your standard red wine. Before he could pull the cork out and have a closer look, he heard his mother scream upstairs, followed shortly after by his father.
"Mama?! Papa!?" He gulped.
The black lab dashed up the stairs and ran down the hall. He heard what sounded like grunting and a scuffle coming from inside the parent's bedroom. Normally, he wouldn't dare enter someone's room without knocking, but his parents could be in trouble as indicated by what he heard. Jean-Luc burst through the door and his eyes went wide with horror as he was proven right. Bandit and Chilli knelt over his parents' unconscious bodies, their teeth sunk into their necks and small pools of blood forming. The Heelers parents looked up at the shocked Labrador.
"Well, this is embarrassing. Chilli remarked.
Jean screamed and ran out of the room only to run into the rest of the family.
"Jean-Luc, what's wrong?" Bluey asked.
"Bluey, I think your parents are vampires!" Jean screamed.
"Well, duh! We're all vampires here!" Bingo pointed out. "Check it out."
Jean's eyes shrunk to the size of pinpricks as they gave him toothy grins to show him their razor-sharp fangs as well as their eyes turning blood red. He backed away only to bump into Bandit and Chilli.
"Whoa, calm down there, Jean." Bandit said.
Jean glared with narrow eyes as the vampires surrounded him.
"Is this why you invited me and my parents over? So we can be the main course for your sick feast?!" He barked.
"Not exactly." Chilli said.
"You see, vampires have the ability to tell who will be there eternal mate." Trixie explained. "That's how Stripe and I got together, same with with Bandit and Chilli."
"What does this have to do with me?" Jean asked.
"Well..." Bluey paused as her face went bright red and she cupped his cheeks. "... I chose you, Jean-Luc. I can tell we're going to be together forever."
"Oooooh!" Bingo squealed quietly.
"What do you say, boy?" Bob asked.
"Well, I don't have anything to say, but one." Jean said.
Suddenly, the Labrador pulled out a crucifix and held it out at them. This caused the vampires to back away and hiss is disgust, even causing some of them to run or fly down the stairs away from him.
"Thank you, movies." Jean thought to himself. "Here's how we're doing this: I'm getting out of here and you will leave me alone, never to bother me again."
After doing a quick sign of the cross, he proceeded to slowly walk pass them, keeping the hand holding the crucifix outstretched and keeping his guard up in case they tried any surprise attacks. He then slowly and carefully descended down the stairs. About halfway down, he heard Bingo cry out.
"Now!" She went.
All of a sudden, Muffin lassoed his leg with a string of lights, tripping him. He didn't have time to recuperate as Bandit grabbed him from behind by his arms. Before Jean could do anything with the cross, Socks, with a pillow in her paw, wrapped his hand and easily wrestled the crucifix from his grasp before tossing it away.
"Got him! Go for it, Bluey!" Bandit exclaimed.
Suddenly, Jean bit down on his paw, causing him to scream and let go of him. Once he was free, the Labrador wrestled his way past Socks and made a mad dash for the front door, which was wide open. He could practically taste freedom.
"Not so fast!" Nana said as she swung her paw to the side.
The door slammed shut via her telekinesis, causing Jean-Luc to face plant so hard, you could almost hear the panel crack. He groaned in pain as he peeled from the door and flopped on to his back on the floor, leaving him disoriented and singing incoherently in his native tongue. When he regained his bearings, he saw Bluey holding him close and looking into his eyes with mounting desire in her own as her family surrounded her and watched with smiles on their faces. His confusion quickly turned to fear.
"Hey, look!" Chilli pointed out.
They all looked up to see a giggling Muffin floating above them, holding mistletoe on a string.
"Mistletoe." Bingo snickered.
"Mon dieu, aies pitié." Jean whimpered.
"You know the rules." Bluey said with a sinister grin. "Pucker up, lover boy!"
With that, Bluey sank her fangs into Jean's neck, claiming him as her own. Jean gasped at the pain as he could feel her lapping up his blood. He was almost sickened when he found himself enjoying the sensation as she continued to feed. The last thing he saw before going unconscious was her family looking on endearingly. Soon, she finished feeding as she released his neck and licked her lip clean.
"How was he?" Bingo asked, dying to know.
"He was delicious." Bluey replied.
"Come on, ladies." Chilli said as she, Nana and Trixie walked up to the unconscious lab. "Let's get him fitted for his new outfit."
Suddenly, as they started to drag him upstairs, Granddad, Rad and Frisky burst through the door.
"Sorry we were late everyone." Granddad apologized.
Then, they saw the scene before them.
"Aw man, did we miss it?" Rad said.
"Unfortunately, yes." Nana answered.
"Bother." Frisky said. "I knew we should've taken a left."
"Please don't start this again." Granddad sighed.
