"Oh my god", she said out loud to the silent office. "What am I going to bring for all of them? And who exactly is going to be there anyway? I don't even know Kara's parents and what they like. And…"
In her panic, Lena got up from her chair again and started pacing the office, all the while mumbling options for presents to herself. Then, having calmed down somewhat, Lena's sharp mind was finally able to focus and within a few minutes she had come up with presents for everyone – even for Kara's unknown parents.
Exhaling and pouring herself another glass of Scotch, the young CEO walked over to the massive glass-panelled windows again and gazed out over the city. Only this time she felt much happier than before Kara's message had arrived. Yes, Lena was still nervous about the celebration but now joy was the dominant emotion she was feeling.
