"open up the heart"

It's 7:00 Am. Cassie was in her room, she had already woken up, but she was still in her bed and thinking while suddenly her alarm started to ring. Cassie sighed and started getting up from her bed. She opened up the curtain and sun shined bright on her face. Yup, it was one more ordinary day. One more day of Cassie without any family...

She went into the bathroom, brushed her teeth, and had a quick shower. Then she dressed up, rushed down stairs and started to make a breakfast. After enjoying eith her breakfast she picked up her bag, books, car keys, went outside and drove her car into the school. It was the first day of school after summer holidays.

"Hey guys" -Cassie said when she saw Adam, Faye and Melissa.

"Hey" -Melissa responded and all of them hugged Cassie, "how are you?"

"I'm fine, thanks."

"I hope you feel better..." -Adam joined the chat.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's been a long time so, I feel much better, I don't think about the past anymore" -Cassie said with the smirk on her face in the end.

"Good, it's nice to know, that you finally moved on" -Faye said.

"Yeah."

"Okay, I think I left my phone in the car... I'll see you guys later" -Faye said and walked away from them.

"Let's go" -Adam said and they went into the class.

When school ended they went to their houses. Melissa and Faye went to Melissa's place.

"So, what should we do today?" -Melissa asked Faye.

"Hmm, I don't know. What do you have in mind?" -She responded.

"Totally nothing." -Melissa shrugged and lied down on her bed, where Faye was sitting.

"What about magic?" -Faye said with smirk on her face.

Melissa stood up and looked at Faye.

"What kind of magic?" -She also asked with a smirk on her face.

"I don't know".

"Did your mother give you your family's book of shadows?"

"No, she said that my aunt has it and my aunt lives in Miami, so..."

"Ah, okay. You know what? Let's call spirits!"

Faye laughed "Seriously?"

"Yeah, why not? We are really bored and also a little drunk, so... Yeah, it will be fun, I guess" -Melissa said with smile.

"Okay."

"I think I have an Ouija board. I'll go bring it" -Melissa laughed and stepped out of her room.

"Hey, Cassie" -Adam said, when she stepped into the bar.

"Oh, hey Adam, what's up?"

"Nothing, I was just working."

"Okay, is it time of my shift yet?" -She asked. Cassie started to work there after she was looking for a job.

"Yeah, you can take an order from that table" -He smiled and pointed to a table.

"Yeah." -Cassie smiled back and started working.

"Here it is" -Melissa came back with a board.

"Let's do this." -Faye stood up from bed and they decided to play it in the living room. They opend up a board and started.

"As friends we gather, hearts are true, spirits near, we call to you" -They said, but it didn't move even a little bit and they both giggled.

"Okay, okay let's try it again" -Faye said, "Just concentrate and think about someone, you know... Someone who is dead."

"Okay."

"As friends we gather, hearts are true, spirits near, we call to you" -And suddenly windows opened and a wind started to blow around them. Their eyes were closed, they were still concentrating.

"Are you here?" -Melissa asked, they both opend their eyes and looked at the board. The planchette stopped to 'yes'. Then they let go their hands of planchette and the wind stopped blowing.

"Wow" -Faye said with surprised look on her face. Then she looked at Melissa.

"What just happened?" -They both smiled a little.

"I felt strongest energy, that I have ever felt, it was just amazing"

"Yeah, me too" -Melissa responded with still surprised look on her face.

"Hey, Adam, I think I'm done today, I'm too tired so, I'm gonna go."

"Okay, but I'm done too and do you want to talk? About, some things."

"Actually, I think it would be good to talk to someone about everything. Someone who really understands me" -She smiled.

"Okay" -Adam smiled back.

They closed the bar earlier. It was a good choise, because right now Cassie really needed someone to talk to and tell everything about her feelings.

Faye and Melissa picked up everything that fell, during they were playing that game.

"That was really crazy. I mean, I have played that game a lot of times before, but this, it was something really deferent." -Faye said.

"Yeah, even when we played it in your house and Cassie used her medallion instead of planchette, that wasn't even close to this." -Melissa responded.

"I wanna continue"

"What? That could be dangerous Faye."

"I know, but don't you wanna know what just happened? Or who was that sprit that talked to us?"

"I want, but Faye, we know nothing about real magic. It's too dangerous, and promise me that you will not do that alone."

"I promise." -Faye said. "But when I told you to think about someone, who did you think of?" -She said a few moments later by the look that she already knew the answer.

"About...Nick" -She sighed. "But please don't start lecturing me that I need to get over it and move on..."

"I won't," -Faye caught her. "Not this time. And actually who am I to lecture you about movng on? Because, I'm that girl who never moves on." -Faye sighed and than smiled. "And sometimes, I don't really share other people's feelings, but remember that if you need me, I'll be right here."

"Yeah. I know." -Melissa smiled and hugged her bestfriend.

"Look, I just don't understand why Diana left. How could she just leave me like that? I know, I said that I moved on, but..."

"I understand you" -Adam said. "And I know that Diana did't do the right thing by leaving, but you should understand of her too. She was also in pain and didn"t know what to do."

Cassie sighed sadly.

"You're okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Probably this summer was hard to you... Actually, where were you in summer?"

"I was to my mom's frind this entire summer, where were all of you?"

"Well, I was mostly here. And the others were... In lot of places" -He giggled.

"Thanks Adam. You're really good friend, you helped me a lot."

"Anytime." -Adam smiled to her. "Do you want me to take you home?"

"Yes, please. That would be good." -Cassie stood up from chair and they went outside.
