A/N: Thank you for your positive reviews on my last chapter. Hope you enjoy this one too, sorry that is a little shorter than usual x

Andy walked through the front door, knackered from her latest 24-hour shift and shocked to see the sight in front of her. She didn't know if she was dreaming her view from being delirious or if it was happening. Once she readjusted her eyes, Andy finally realised that she was in fact stood in front of a blanket fort; clearly, the child in her husband came out today whilst he was home alone.

Andy called out for Robert and soon enough, he emerged from the sea of blankets.

"What? What is all of this?" She inquired, putting her bags down in front of her before taking off her coat.

"A blanket fort!" He announced, grinning widely.

"Why?"

"Felt like we needed a change of scenery and as much as I'd love to go somewhere, with this current pandemic, it doesn't seem safe. So, viola!" Robert spoke, pointing to the fort once he finished his sentence.

Andy stepped closer to Robert to wrap her arms around his neck: "You, Robert Sullivan, are an amazing man."

They hadn't seen much of each other lately due to their shift patterns. So, knowing he had a few days off and how his wife had been feeling recently, Robert had wanted to do something special for Andy.

Robert reached up to grab a hold of Andy's hands so that he could guide her inside the fort. Robert had gone to the extra length of hanging string lights around the top of the fort and he placed all the throw pillows on the floor for them to lay against. He always complained about Andy's obsession with the numerous throw pillows on their bed, plus the guest bed and couch, but at this point in time, he was thankful that she collected them so they would have a comfy place to rest their heads for the rest of the evening.

Andy could only stare in admiration of Robert's handy work. Rushing into marriage meant that they never did the 'dating' stage so Andy had only just begun to discover Robert's romantic side.

"Wow, I'm impressed," Andy stated, taking a seat in the mass of throw pillows, "Though if my back is messed up tomorrow, you will be paying for a physiotherapist to sort it out."

"I'll be back in one second." Robert said before heading out of the fort. Soon after, he returned with two glasses and a bottle of sparkling water, due to alcohol being banned in the house as it was a potential way for Robert to relapse, in one hand as well as a bowl of popcorn in the other. As he sat down next to his wife, he spoke: "I didn't know what to make, so this is all that I could manage."

"Robert, it's perfect. I wasn't expecting a five-course meal to go along with the rest of it." Andy stated before taking a handful of popcorn out of the bowl.

They spent the rest of the evening talking about everything; subjected ranged from childhood fears, of which Robert teased Andy greatly about her fear of racoons, to Andy's mom. Sometime during the week, Elena had sent a Christmas card, despite not being present in either one of their lives. Andy had shunned her after finding out about the truth, and each month Elena would try and get in contact but Andy wasn't having it. She went twenty years without a mother, she could cope just fine with twenty more. Robert knew not to pressure Andy about the situation but each month, when the letter arrived through the door, he couldn't help but ask if she had changed her mind. But Andy being as stubborn as ever didn't change her tune.

It was just them against the world now, surrounded by a bunch of blankets.
