8. A Message for You All

Hello to everyone who's still following. (In which case holy shit thanks for sticking with me)

Sorry I haven't posted in, what, two years? Life became an unexpected turmoil of things, my perspective on this story shifted, and all in all everything got in the way of me continuing.

Since then, I have returned. And after reviewing this story I have written so far, with some input from others whose opinions on writing I respect, I have decided to do something drastic.

I will be restarting A Certain Metaphysical Experiment from scratch.

Owing to an unfamiliarity with the ins and outs of writing, misunderstandings about the two franchises represented, and just flat-out laziness, I don't think I've been doing this story justice, giving it a shoddy start when it could have been great all the way through.

I gave Naoki a boring personality, I used Lucifer as a Deus-Ex copout, I introduced subplots I won't be continuing, and my story became more of an embellished recap than a new entity. For all of these reasons, I want to give it a fresh start and see if I can actually bring my idea to life in a new form that feels complete rather than simultaneously belated and rushed.

Don't worry, it'll still be the same story, it'll just be... evolved? So to speak?

All in all, the point I'm trying to make is that I haven't abandoned this fic, but I will be redoing it. Anyone who's still interested can keep following me for when I get that going (if life will let me do so), and I'd appreciate feedback on who all is still interested.

Thanks all of you once again for giving my writing a chance, and I hope that you won't be disappointed with the new and preferably-improved version of A Certain Metaphysical Experiment.
