A/N: Cannot believe its already time for the mid-season finale tonight and the fact that we have to wait until March to see the return! There better not be a major cliff-hanger otherwise I won't cope for those three months. Anyways, hope you enjoy this chapter x

"Any news on when the plumber is coming?" Andy asked Maya from the doorway of her office.

It was one of the coldest days and of course, the boiler at the station had broken. Maya had called the emergency plumber to come out but being the middle of December, many boilers in the city were broken so the station had to wait a while for the plumber to arrive.

"Soon, Herrera. Soon." Maya stated for what felt like the 100th that morning after the rest of the A-shift asking her the same question.

"Ugh." Andy rolled her eyes at the thought of waiting longer for some heat to arrive in the building.

Dean was in the gym, and with the current policy of 'one person at a time', Andy couldn't complete a workout to stay warm. So, instead, she ran up the stairs to feel a burst of warmth through her body.

The five-second run did little to warm her body up so upon seeing her husband standing in the kitchen, chopping vegetables to make soup for the rest of the team, Andy couldn't help but wrap her arms around his waist from behind.

"How do you manage to make chopping veg look sexy?" She spoke, placing a delicate kiss on his upper back.

"I could ask you the same question" Robert whispered huskily, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, just cold."

"Here." Robert replied; he placed the knife down on the counter and turned around in Andy's arms so they were chest to chest. He wrapped his arms tightly around her frame in an attempt to share his body heat with hers.

They had agreed to keep their distance at work so that they weren't tempted to go further whilst at work but given the circumstances, it was hard to ignore.

"You know who would've had this fixed by now? Papi; that man could fix anything in this place." Andy reminisced over the thought of her father.

"I know. When I was Captain, he couldn't help but tell me how to fix every little thing around here from memory." Truth be told, Robert hated the fact that Pruitt would interfere with every little thing that he did wrong, but looking back, Robert understood why he found it so hard for Pruitt to let go. This was his home, his family, his legacy, of course, it was hard to say goodbye and hand over the reigns to an outsider.

"The plumber has arriv- Oh, sorry guys. I didn't- I'll leave now." Travis spoke as he walked into the kitchen before turning around.

"Trav, nothing's happening here. I was just cold." Andy explained, breaking away from Robert's embrace.

"Well, it's certainly very hot in here now." Travis whispered under his breath as he walked back to the barn.

Robert couldn't help but let out a little giggle. Despite being married, and the new probie, for more than six months, the team still couldn't shake the image that Robert was once this cold-hearted man who was their boss for a year out of their heads.

"You'd think they would be okay with us by now." Andy said as she lent against the counter next to her husband, crossing her arms in the process.

"Well, maybe we need to be more than colleagues at work."

"Robert, we agreed." Andy whispered softly.

"Hm, but if they don't get used to it then we won't ever stop seeing those reactions."

"So, what do you want to do about it?"

Robert didn't speak. He pulled Andy into an embrace once again, knowing that she was still feeling cold. And that is how they stayed until the heating in the station was fixed, not caring who walked past them in the kitchen.
