That night was only two weeks ago and since then they had continued to learn each other's bodies and Rory had seen the doctor and got an IUD, she wanted to be prepared for when she was ready. After they had returned to Hartford, they had decided not to hide their relationship, but they were not ready to tell the families yet. Logan introduced her to Colin and Finn, and they took her appearance in stride and she assumed that Logan had talked to them prior to the meeting. She liked the two, they were entertaining, and she could tell the three guys had become brothers over the years. Logan had spent almost every night at Rory's and she loved waking up to him each morning, he made her feel safe.

This morning they had went for breakfast and then he left to meet the movers at his dorm and needed to get everything set up. Rory was meeting him on campus later, but she wanted to stop by and see Paris first. She had not taken the news of Rory living off campus well and was afraid of who her roommate would be. Rory had given her plenty of time to find one, but Paris was, well Paris and she scared almost everyone. With a sigh she walked towards the room Paris had told her a few days prior and knocked but didn't receive an answer. Paris should be here, she thought to herself and pulled out her phone to call her friend. Before she could she heard someone call her name and she turned to see Marty.

"Marty hi!" she exclaimed as she walked over to him and gave him a hug. "Are you living here?" she asked as she pulled back.

"I'm living here," he stated as he studied her for a moment, something seemed different about her. "What about you?" he asked awkwardly.

"No," she replied with a small shake of her head. "I'm living off campus. I'm just looking for Paris."

"Off campus?" he questioned but Rory wanted to change the subject so looked at her phone.

"I'm going to call her," she quickly dialed the number. "Paris, hey, its Rory."

"Rory, hello," Paris answered in an off tone that caused Rory to raise an eyebrow.

"I'm at your room and was just wondering where you were," Rory asked. "Are you okay? You sound funny."

"Asher's dead," she replied in a flat tone.

"What?" Rory exclaimed.

"He died two weeks ago in Oxford. It was a heart attack it was quick."

"Paris," Rory sighed. "Why didn't you tell me I would have stopped in London. Was it during…um…"

"No," Paris replied forcefully. "This great man was not brought down by my vagina, okay." She sighed, "He was teaching a Shakespeare class, 'A Midsummer Night's Dream.' He was doing Puck, and then suddenly he wasn't. The class thought he was so into his reading; they didn't even get it. They thought he was acting. It was Dick Shawn all over again"

"Oh man," Rory replied at a loss for words. "Where are you?"

"I'm at his flat," she sighed. "I'm trying to get his effects squared away and of course his family is acting like spoiled children. All they care about is what they get. If I have to moderate one more argument about the Chippendale desk, I'm going to freak out. And the lawyer handling his affairs is a moron, and don't even get me started on the funeral. He wanted to be cremated…"

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Rory asked trying to stop a full blown rant.

"No thanks," Paris replied and then sighed. "I'm sad."

"I know," Rory sighed. "Call me when you get here, and we will binge on movies and junk food."

"Okay, bye," Paris sighed and then hung up the phone.

Rory looked at Marty and sighed. "Asher Flemming died."

"In bed?" he questioned.

"No," Rory stated with a slightly disgusted look on her face.

"Damn, I lost the pool," he sighed.

"Seriously," Rory stated as she looked at him.

"Hey, I didn't start it!" Marty defended throwing up his hands. "Do you want to get some coffee?"

"Sure," Rory sighed as she looked at her watch, she had time before she was meeting Logan.

The two made their way to the coffee cart with Marty talking about his summer and Rory tried to pretend to be interested in what he was saying but she was sidetracked thinking about Logan.

"I mean, I always thought I looked a lot like my Uncle Jerry, and gee, Mom seemed to really like him," Marty told her, and she was brought out of her thoughts.

Rory looked at him in shock or a moment. "I cannot believe his. After all this time, your mother tells you now?"

He nodded his head, "My dad looked relieved."

"He did not," she replied not really knowing what to say.

"I heard him say, 'whew!'" he continued turning slightly to look at her.

She looked at him expectantly and when he didn't continue talking, she quickly stated, "Oh, that is amazing."

"So, what did you do over the summer?" he asked taking a drink of his coffee.

"Well, we so should have started with me," she replied with a small giggle.

Before either of them could say anything else a man bumped into Marty.

"Oh, sorry," Marty quickly replied, and Rory had to suppress an eyeroll when she saw who it was.

"No, seriously, you couldn't see me there?" Colin questioned in a haughty tone and Rory glared at him.

"Not everyone's staring at you, Colin," Finn stated as he threw an arm on Colin' shoulder before noticing who was in front of them and quickly picking her up exclaiming, "love!"

Rory laughed at the Australian, "don't make me drop my coffee!" she mock scolded.

"We don't want an angry love," he replied as he placed her back on her feet.

"Hey, I know you. No, wait-wait, don't tell me," Colin stated as he looked at Marty, he really did not like the look the guy was giving Rory, "I'm seeing a uniform of some sort."

"Maytag repairman," the Australian stated with sarcasm.

"Finn, Colin!" Rory scolded at the same time Marty muttered "I've bartended for you-your parties."

"That's right you have. You're a talented man," Colin replied with a hint of distain causing Rory to give him a hard glare.

"Thanks," Marty mumbled looking at Rory and wondering how she knew these guys.

"Colin, Finn," Rory started in a firm voice causing both men to look at her with slightly ashamed looks, "I would like you to meet my friend Marty. Marty this is Colin and Finn." The three men just stared at one another and Rory sighed and focused her attention on the two boys. "Colin, Finn, I'm sure I will talk to you later. Marty you ready?"

Colin and Finn both looked like they wanted to say something but the look on her face stopped them. "Bye love," sighed Finn as he gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Later Rory," Colin muttered as he gave her a hug.

She gave them both a smile, "I'm sure I'll see you later." She then turned to focus on Marty and at his uncomfortable look at the other two she sighed and started walking away causing Marty to take a few quick steps to catch up to her.

After they had walked for a bit Marty sighed, "Uh… um… so how do you know them?"

She gave a heartfelt laugh, "I met them a few days ago. They are friends with my…"

Before she could continue Marty started talking, "I kidda hate guys like that."

"Excuse me?" Rory questioned as she stopped walking.

"Well, yeah those rich trust fund guys who think the world revolves around them. Them and their ringleader Logan Huntzberger are all a piece of work. Thinking they can do whatever they want and have a new girl on their arm every hour. I mean…" Marty paused when he noticed Rory's flushed cheeks and the anger burning in her eyes.

"Wow Marty," she said cutting him off and ice dripping from her voice causing Marty to slightly step back. "I didn't realize you were so judgmental against people you don't really know. Yes, they can be snobbish, but you don't know their lives and you definitely don't know Logan."

"Umm.. well…" Marty mumbled not sure what to say. He really thought that Rory would agree with him after getting to know her last year. "Uh … how do you know…"

"Ror!" a voice called, and Rory turned, a large smile forming on her face despite her anger just moments before.

Marty watched in horror and Rory turned around and smiled as Logan Huntzberger approached. As the blonde reached the pair, Rory stepped close to him and wrapped her arms around his neck as he put his hands on her waist pulling her close before leaning down and capturing her lips in a kiss.

"I was looking for you," he murmured as the kiss broke and he gazed down at her. He noticed the anger still in her eyes, he gently pushed a hair away from her face before asking, "is everything okay?"

"Yeah babe, I'm fine." She stood slightly on her tiptoes and placed another small kiss on his lips. "I wasn't supposed to meet you for a little while, so I wanted to see Paris… long story and ran into Marty and got coffee."

Marty cleared his throat slightly and they turned to look at him and Logan pulled Rory into his side.

"Marty, I would like you to meet by boyfriend Logan. Logan, this is Marty," Rory stated as she nestled closer to him.

"Um… nice to meet you," Marty stammered and looked questioningly at Rory.

So, this is the guy Colin called me about, Logan thought to himself as he extended his hand. "You to," he replied with a slight smirk on his face. Then suddenly he turned to Rory, "Is he the one you told me about from…"

"Yes," she quickly cut off. While she was still angry at Marty, she didn't want to embarrass him more than he already was. "It was good seeing you Marty. We'll have to catch up more later."

All Marty could do was nod as the couple turned to leave. He watched with jealousy as Logan kept his arm around her and she leaned into him laughing at something he said.
