Chapter 4:
After breakfast was eaten and cleared away, the two couples decided to sit and talk about the events that had laid out fifteen minutes beforehand.
"I have no clue, absolutely NO clue how I didn't see it before!" Nino finally exclaimed, falling out of whatever shock he had been in before.
"Well, we are kinda opposites of our superhero selves. I wouldn't have guessed in a million years so it actually makes perfect sense to me," Marinette explained her side of the story.
"Yeah, I guess."
"You know, you actually have a point besty," Alya spoke up, as they all made their way into the downstairs living room, Marinette and Adrien sitting on the love seat while Alya and Nino took the couch.
"Of course she has a point!" Adrien smiled broadly while taking Marinette's hand, "She has the most coordinated mindset out of everyone here!"
"So… you too are official then?!" Alya asked, smirking, making sure that the topic she changed the conversation from would keep everyone busy for a while.
"Yeah! I mean… Marinette, I know it should be pretty obvious now, since we kissed and all, more liked made out, but you know…"
"You and Marinette MADE OUT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?" Nino and Alya ejaculated, making Marinette and Adrien blush like mad fools and turn away from each other before Adrien went on.
"So… since I haven't officially asked you yet…" Adrien blubbered.
"Yes?" Alya urged.
"Let the poor man finish!" Nino exclaimed loudly, feeling sorry for his friend.
"Would you, Marinette Dupain-Cheng do me the honor of becoming my Lady?"
"Let's see," Marinette started, making Alya groan, "Umm… YES!!" the dark haired teen flung her arms around Adrien's shoulders, almost, almost choking him she was so excited!
"Well, now that that is settled, (finally)" Alya whispered that last word to her boyfriend, "Let's all go on a group date this weekend. The four of us."
"I would have to escape my photo shoots…" Adrien stated glumly.
"Of course!" Marinette threw her arms in the air out of defeat.
"I think I know how we can get you away," Alya said.
"How?" Adrien asked, little expectation in his voice.
"Who is your father closest with? I mean do you have a friend that your father seems to like?" Alya prodded.
"Umm…" the blond haired boy thought for a moment, "He does try to get me to hang out more with Lilah," Adrien concluded with a frown.
"UGH! I guess I can work with her. Here is the plan. You are going to go to your father and ask if you can do homework with Lilah. Then you and Lilah will meet at the park and Marinette will swoop in and ask if you will help her with a little something. Then you will ask Lilah to go meet outside of your house three hours from then because right after you help Mari, you have a photoshoot."
"That might actually work."
Ring! Ring!
"Oh. Sorry. I need to take this. Yes, Natalie?"
After Adrien hung up, he looked at all of his friends intrigued faces in turn.
"My dad's assistant called to remind me that he went out of town yesterday on a business trip and she wants me home now." He continues when he sees the blank expressions on his friend's faces, "I asked her beforehand if I could sleep over at my friends house."
"Wow! Your father's assistant is a lot more chill than your old man!" Nino exclaimed, "Sorry if that sounded rude…"
"No. It's the truth dude. Since my father is gone, maybe Natalie would let me go on this date."
"Yeah! And then we wouldn't need to use Lilah," Alya said, slumping back on the couch and sighing in relief.
"We could just throw a big party and invite our classmates," Marinette suggested. She knew that Adrien didn't have a lot of time outside of school to hang with his friends and with his father gone… maybe he would get to. (They could always go on that date later.)
"That sounds fun. I'm in!" Adrien exclaimed, wanting to grasp a chance to hang with all of his friends.
"Okay," Nino said.
"I can get the invites out," Alya offered.
"I will ask Natalie, my father's assistant," Adrien said.
