Ok so for the first one I had this headcanon that in a modern au Laurens has at least one turtle named after his friends
Laurens looked at his turtle tank. Herc (named after Hercules Mulligan) was currently leap of a log into the water, Gilbert (named after Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette his French friend) was sleeping on a rock, Lexi (named after Alexander Hamilton) was snapping at Jeff ( named after Thomas Jefferson) who was snapping back at him, Angie (named after Angilica Schuyler) was sitting with Lizzy (named after Eliza Schuyler), And Peggy *I'm sorry I couldn't resist* (named after Peggy Schuyler) was watching Herc jump of the log before attempting to herself. Laurens heard a knock on the door and his younger sister Martha told him that it was "The hyper French one" he ran downstairs and greeted the bushy haired Frenchmen. " Bonjour mon ami! I assume that Gilbert is well? " Lafayette asked "Yes he's fine. Do you want to come upstairs?" By the time he answered Lafayette was already halfway up the stairs
