When Dokho returned to China and told Shiryu the clause to training Mushu he sighed but nodded. He really didn't want to face the challenge for the gold cloth just another reason for not wanting to be anything more than a bronze. Plus, people underestimated him since he was a bronze even if he was one of Athena's legendary knights. He just nodded as he went to go tell Mushu the good news.

It was two years since Mushu started training to be one of Athena's knights. He was getting ready for his first time going to Sanctuary. Shunrei had decided to stay behind since she hated the idea of fighting and she always felt out of place when she went with them to Sanctuary. Dohko told Shiryu that he would teleport with Mushu and he could teleport himself. Shiryu nodded since he found that ability once when he was fourteen and was fighting against a saint that had the medusa shield. He never paid attention to it back then. It happened once again about two years ago and he worked on it. To say that it hadn't been helpful would be a lie.

When all three got there, they weren't surprise that they landed on the outskirts. It was well known that you couldn't teleport inside Sanctuary. The three knights walked up the path to get to the training yards when they saw a green hair woman standing near the gate. Shiryu had to smirk since he knew that Shina wasn't expecting him, and he hadn't changed that much from when he was a teen. The only thing that Shunrei had told him changed was his height.

Shina was standing bored at the gate. One thing that she hated was gate duty she had tried to repeatedly make it were the bronze knights were experienced enough to stand guard. The pope always told her that the bronze knights were never around enough, and he trust the silver knights to protect Sanctuary. She believed that it was the pope's way of punishing them for trusting Saga when he was acting like the pope and was trying to kill Athena. Dohko smirked at the woman who was leaning against the wall and said, "Now that isn't a way a knight on duty should be standing."

Shina lifted her head up and replied, "I don't care Libra no Dohko. This isn't a job most silver saints like and I am in my right to state that fact. By the way hello Shiryu aren't you a sight for sore eyes."

Shiryu replied, "Ha-ha Shina, real funny. I missed you too. How have you been?"

Shina replied, "Not too bad Shiryu. I'm mostly guarding the gate or when I do have off time annoying Seiya to the point that he messes up on his training. I already told him that dating me was going to make his life interesting. He didn't believe me."

Shiryu nodded in that response he knew that Shina had an attraction to Seiya. When the attraction first started, she kept trying to fight him that it seems like she was personally stocking him. Then after the battle with Hades he just decided that he would allow her to court him. It somehow became how to annoy Seiya to mess up training. How they were still together he would never know.

Shiryu finally said, "I would love to stay and chat with you Shina, but I have business to attend to."

Shina nodded and said, "Shiryu, you need to come by more often your brothers, and I miss you."

Shiryu replied, "I miss everyone too but right now I have to put most of my focus on training Mushu."

Shina finally noticed the little boy next to his leg. All she could think was oh my god he looks so much like Shiryu.

Mushu looked at his papa and said, "Papa, who is your friend?"

Shina screamed, "SHIRYU WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US THAT SHUNREI HAD YOUR CHILD!"

Dohko laughed as Mushu hid more behind his papa. Shiryu sighed and said, "Shina, I never told you because we first decided not to say anything about him before he told me if he wanted to learn how to be a knight. When he decided to follow in my footsteps I kind of forgot to tell everyone after Dohko let the Pope and Athena know about him."

As she allowed them to pass as he really did need to see Athena and the Pope he said, "Shina I'll tell you more about him after I become a gold knight. Just make sure that the gold knights and my brothers are also there."

She smiled and said, "You got a deal Shiryu."

The three left the gate as they walked toward the temples. On the journey Dohko was telling Mushu about the history of Sanctuary. Dohko whispered to Shiryu that they were close to the stairs to the temples. Shiryu said, "Mushu, I got an idea let's see how your endurance is. Let's see how far you can run up these steps."

Mushu nodded but complained, "Papa, I thought that you said we weren't going to train while we were here."

Shiryu smirked and replied, "Son, we are knights we are always training. If we decided to not train it would mean life or death. Plus, it's not training I just want to know if you can run up all these steps. I'll let you in on a secrete not even my brothers or myself were able to do it and we were older than you when we did it."

When they got to the base of the stairs Mushu started to jog up the stairs. When he was far up Dohko said, "You surprise me Shiryu with that turn of events. Why didn't you tell your son that the only reason that you and your brothers didn't run up all the steps was because you had to fight each of the gold knights."

Shiryu replied, "It was so he wouldn't feel bad if he couldn't run them up. Plus, we had a hard-enough time when Hades went after Athena. I still remember having to take a breather because I was so tired out then I cursed whoever designed this place for making so many stairs and not a single escalator or elevator."

Dohko cracked up laughing and said, "You amaze me Shiryu. Only you would wish for something that was never invented when this place was built. Then again I think we all wished it one way or another."

As the two adults finally made it to the Aries Temple, they were highly amused to see Mu keeping Mushu from entering the Aries Temple. He had his crystal wall in place while Mushu was trying with all his might to smash through it. Let's just say that he kept bouncing off the wall and landing roughly on the floor. As Mushu was going to try again Dohko grabbed Mushu's shoulder and said, "Mushu stop you're only going to hurt yourself. Ok, Mu you had your fun let us pass please we're on a tight scheduled."

Mu smiled and said, "Dohko, Shiryu so nice to see you too."

Shiryu said, "Same Mu now we will tell you everything later, but Dokho is right we really are on a tight scheduled."

Mu allowed them safe passage while he went back to training his own student Kiki when it dawned on him when did Shiryu have a child. The child looked to be at least age of eight. When Shiryu last visit him four years ago he never said anything about having a child so where did that child come from?

As the three got thought the temple Mushu looked anguished by even more stairs. Dohko laughed because he knew that was the same face that most of the knights wore when they see it for the first time. He said, "Mushu don't worry there is no more stair climbing for this time of day. If we go to every temple, we will never make it in time and then our day would be pointless watch your papa."

Mushu looked over at his papa who was now in his dragon armor and was focusing on his cosmos. First his cloth turned gold then suddenly there was an overwhelming feeling from the cosmos that almost had him to the ground. When the power went back to normal, he saw his papa in a silvery green cloth. The head band still had the dragon face while he now had wings coming from his back. Shiryu smiled at his son and picked him up while Dohko just manifest himself to his old man look and jumped on his students back. Shiryu flew in the air feeling like a pack mule. He knew that his brothers would have felt his cosmos spike but there was nothing he could do about it.

In the Pope's temple Athena and Pope Shion were talking about the upcoming trial of Shiryu vs Dohko. Athena thought I should have done it years ago now I must work on Hyoga. Right as she finished that thought both Shion and Athena felt a spike of cosmos and smirked as they felt Shiryu's cosmos flare then settled back down in his god form. Right then they heard a knock and thought speak of the devil.

Pope Shion responded, "You can come in Dohko, Shiryu."

Dokho who had turned back into his younger form opened the door as Shiryu who had powered down back to his bronze form walked in. He had moved Mushu to his back when he powered down since his son was too much in awe to walk on his own.
