"You'll get lonely." Natsu said, as the two mages walked through Magnolia to the bed store.

Lucy sighed, still tired from convincing the stubborn man to come with her to buy his bed. "Natsu if I get lonely I can just talk to Plue. Besides I won't get lonely at night, because I'll be asleep."

Natsu pouted and kicked a stone along the road. "I get lonely."

Lucy sighed again. "You have Happy Natsu. Now come on." She said as she entered the store.

The fire mage followed her in and stared blankly at the rows of beds filling the shop.

Lucy clapped her hands together. "Alright Natsu, what kind of bed do you want?"

Natsu frowned at the bed closest to him, eye-balling the bright pink covers. "I already told you I don't want a bed."

Holding in another sigh, Lucy replied "Then hypothetically, if you got to choose your own bed what would you get?"

Natsu moved his gaze from the pink bed to the other beds in that row. A shop assistant had seen them arrive and began walking towards them. Just as the assistant was about to ask if they needed help, Natsu's eyes rested on the only double bed in that row and he said "One big enough for both of us then." The shop assistant's eyes widened and Lucy face palmed.

"Natsu! I said it would be just for you!" Lucy yelled, not realising the shop assistant was there.

The fire mage shrugged. "Yeah well your bed is the only one I've ever slept in, so why would I want my own if you're not there?" The shop assistant burst into a coughing fit and Lucy blushed as she realised someone had overheard their conversation. Grabbing Natsu's hand she dragged him further into the shop and away from the slowly recovering assistant.

"Just shut up okay." The celestial mage furiously whispered. Natsu screwed his face up in confusion. "But you were asking me-"

"Yeah I know, just," She waved her arms around trying figure out how to explain to him that what he had said was misleading. She sighed, giving up. He wouldn't understand anyway. "If I wasn't there, what bed would you want?"

Natsu looked around the store, spinning himself in a slow circle until his eyes rested on a bed near the back. He wandered over to the bed, with a curious Lucy following behind him. Natsu then performed a very fast check of the bed, zooming all around and under it, poking the bed posts and sides. Once satisfied, he folded his arms and grinned. "This one."

Lucy moved closer to get a better look. There was nothing particularly interesting about the bed, it was made completely of wood. The headboard and sides were just solid blocks of wood, the only vaguely interesting thing was the spiral carving on the bed posts. It honestly didn't look that comfortable. Lucy turned her head to peer at Natsu. "Why this one?"

"It has lots of wood." he replied with a grin. Lucy blinked at him, then turned back to look at the bed. It certainly did have lots of wood, but she didn't think that was a good thing. "Well, if that's what you want."

Natsu nodded, his grin slowly turning wicked. Lucy frowned at the bed wondering why he had suddenly co-operated, not seeing Natsu's change in smile.

But the shop assistant did, and he dissolved into another fit of coughs.
