So when I got to school I have lived a lie for many years. I have never shown my true self at school. No one there had ever knew the real me. The friends and allies I had gained in England over the years had never knew what had happened when I was a young boy.

They never suspected anything wrong at the Dursley home. They never suspected me being homeless from the age of 7. Or living on the streets with a boy six years older than I was. And I had put up a lie to keep them fooled.

I had to keep them on the wrong scent. I had even fooled the headmaster of the time Albus Dumbledore and his staff. Only Professor Minerva McGonagall, she was the deputy headmistress at the time, knew any different. She was the only one who I could trust at the time.

..

..

The great hall was one of the weirdest thing Harry has seen on this trip. More weird then self rowing boats he taken earlier with the other first year students across the lake or a giant squid in said lake.

Professor McGonagall was on a platform. She grabbed the list of names. She quickly scribbled something down on what looked like Harry's name to said boy. She then grabbed a old hat someone made by hand. Harry saw the patches on the hat and instantly knew it was to patch up the wear and tear of it.

This type of patchwork on a hat wasn't unfamiliar to Harry as some of the wives or other family of the train engineers patched up the hats and the clothes like that for years when the engineers don't want to get rid of them.

"When I call your name please come up here to the platform where you will sit on the stool and I will place the hat on your head and you will be sorted into your house." McGonagall said

She called everyone on the list before Harry and then called him up to platform. Hermione was put into Ravenclaw despite her wishes to be in Gryffindor like Dumbledore. Harry read the brunettes mind.

The hat told her that the he doesn't see her in the house of the brave. It sees her in the house of the smart. And to stop winning over it because one can not be loyal to someone they haven't met before. That was Harry's philosophy too.

Hermione had used the argument of being just like Professor McGonagall. But the hat still didn't buy it.

"Potter, Hadrian." The Professor said

The room was Erie silent. No one said a word. No one moved a muscle. Because no one in all of wizard Britain knew of Harry's full name. Or had ever heard his name said out loud.

The papers had used the nickname when the Ministry of Magic had declared him the boy-who-lived. Their savior. The only one to ever survive the killing curse.

Harry hated it. He thought his parents were the real hero's of the war as they sacrificed their own lives. They and Neville Longbottom's parent. Yep, Harry knew what happened to Alice and Frank a few days after James and Lily died.

America didn't try to hide anything from its people unless it was a national security protocol not to. Harry walked up to the stool next to the Professor. He sat down and let the hat be placed on top of his head.

'Young Mr. Potter. You finally join us here I see.' The hat said in Harry's mind

Harry was used to having a foreign voice in his head. So when that hat had started to talk in his head, it wasn't all that surprising to Harry.

'Yeah I have.' Harry said

Harry sounded nervous to the hat. And the hat could tell. The hat understood why. The boy under him been through a bad time throughout his life. After several long minutes of silence, one of the longest hat stalls ever recorded in Hogwarts history, right after Professor McGonagall, the hat finally made a decision.

"RAVENCLAW!" The hat yelled

There was an Erie silence in the hall. The Ravenclaw table was shocked that they got the boy who lived. The Slytherin table was happy that they didn't have to deal with the Potter brat. Gryffindor and Hufflepuff were sad that they didn't have the boy who lived in their house. Especially the Hufflepuff house.

Severus had thought the Potter boy was going to be like his father like he had been told by the headmaster, but nope. The house sorting proved to the potions master that Harry was more like his mother then anything.

Dumbledore was fuming. He explicitly told the hat to put the Potter boy into Gryffindor house like his parents. Like him. The headmaster was practically shouting this in his mind. Harry had no choice but to over hear this. Dumbeldore was practically broadcasting his thoughts while everyone else's was quiet.

Harry found out more from the old goats mind too. This information made him seethe a little. That Dumbledore wanted use him as a weapon. For him to die and leave everything to a list of people. One of which was the spy he planted on the train.

But Harry had a plan of action. If something were to happen to him, Scott would get everything. That Scott would be lord Potter. Scott knew this because he was there when Harry did the benefactor thing with the bank.

This granted Scott access to Harry's accounts. And like Harry, Scott received a card connected to the accounts. Harry walked over and sat next to Hermione.

"You know the hat put you in the right house." Harry whispered to Hermione

"I don't thinks so." Hermione whispers back. "I want to be in Gryffindor house."

"Dumbledore is an asshole. You should not be in the house he was in." Harry whispers

This shocked Hermione to no end. She had been told that Dumbledore was this great wizard who saved the world from his deranged ex-best friend. And everything she read in the note proved that she was wrong. But the boy next to her was saying something else.

"What are you trying to say Harry?" Hermione asked still in a whisper tone of voice

"The American goblins faction gave me this a couple of weeks ago. They said it was important for me to know this. Said it involves Dumbles." Harry said handing Hermione a piece of paper that the American goblins gave him when the last time he visited them

When Hermione read the piece of paper. Saying she was shocked would be an understatement. Dumbledore said something really idiotic and the food showed up on the plates in front of them. Harry mentality cheered as he saw some food he liked.

Harry had to thank god that he had actually eaten at the restaurants in the magical alley in New York. And with Scott. After dinner McGonagall had called Harry to her office. Once there the two sat across from the other.

"I called you in here tonight because I wanted to talk to you about your living situation." McGonagall said

"What about my living situation Professor?" Harry asked

"You seriously can't stay in a tent on the streets of New York for the next seven years. Can you?" McGonagall said

"Then what do you propose I do professor? I can't exactly stay here all year. Dumbles won't allow it. And I don't exactly want to stay here all year with him." Harry asked

"I talk to a couple of people and made a couple of calls. And I went to visit those horrible people you're related too. And till Scott is of age in the muggle world, I will be your legal guardian. But you will be living in my cousin Charles home. And during summer and other holidays, you will stay in his home." McGonagall said

"And I will be with Scott? This whole time?" Harry asked

"Yes. You will be." McGonagall said

"But Scott does not know about this yet? Does he?" Harry asked with an eyebrow raised

"Not one clue. I'm giving you the chance to tell him. I think he will take it better if it came from you." McGonagall said

"Almost two years of being under your and your cousins care. I can certainly live with that." Harry said nodding

Minerva noted that Harry may sound and act like an American now, but he still talked like a Brit at times.

Harry soon went up to his room he shared with another few classmates. When Harry got into bed with his laptop, he drew the curtains and cast a silencing charm that he had mastered a few years ago. Harry needed to call Scott. He needed to see his face.

"Hey little brother." Scott said with a smile when he came onto the screen

"Hey Scott." Harry replied

"Why did you video call? You usually use your powers when you want to talk to me." Scott asked

"I learned something and I wanted to see your face when I told you." Harry said

"What is it?" Scott asked

"Professor McGonagall, the one who picked me up to get my school things, got custody of me. And she said that Professor Xavier, who is her cousin by the way, is housing me." Harry said

Scott's face lite up like the New York City Christmas tree during the month of December. Or like time square at night during the rest of the year. Especially on New Year's Eve. Harry and Scott always loved the New Year's Eve party.

"What else did she say? Because I highly doubt she would want to take care of you for the next seven or so years." Scott said

"She said by the end of second year, you will be my legal guardian and not her." Harry said

Scott then yelled out in happiness which made Harry laugh loudly and tear up a little at his brother's antics. Harry was thankful that he had put up the silencing charm before he started to talk to Scott.
